    Dear readers of the NskTarelka.ru blog, although the article is called “Telecard - what to do when the channels don’t show” - this does not mean that it is relevant only for clients of this brand.

    The article could have been called “Tricolor - what to do when the channels don’t show” or “NTV Plus” could have been written instead of “Tricolor”. It doesn't matter what operator you have or you even just watch FTA (not encoded satellite channels) without any operator, you should know that the possible reasons for the absence of a picture are the same everywhere.

    Therefore, I am writing an article for the Telekarta brand, but it is thematic for any satellite television. I will try to collect in one place the maximum number of reasons and ways to eliminate them. So let's get started.

    Telecard - no channels shown, says no signal

    It often happens, as in the saying - There is one thing written on the barn, I looked in, and there was firewood.
    What am I talking about? Yes, to the fact that not all satellite television users, when they see the inscription “No signal” on the TV screen, correctly perceive this information.

    The message “No signal” can be displayed either by the TV itself or directly by the satellite receiver. If the TV gives it out, then most likely the satellite channels are working and showing, but we don’t see them.

    - Do you see the gopher?
    - No…
    - I don’t see it either. And he is!

    Let's first determine who owns the inscription - No signal.

    We take the remote control from the satellite receiver and press the “MENU” button. If the batteries are in order and nothing has changed on the screen, then this inscription belongs to the TV; if the menu is displayed, then it belongs to the receiver.

    The first option means that the TV “does not see” the satellite receiver connected to it. Ninety-nine percent, so the picture doesn't show. We provide visibility.

    Check if the receiver is turned on? If it is turned on, then we check its connection to the TV, directly the connection contacts themselves. And also whether the selected connection method is displayed correctly in the TV settings.

    We remember that TV is “obliged” to see satellite receiver, regardless of whether a satellite dish is connected to it or not even at all.

    The second option for the development of the situation, the inscription “No signal” on the TV screen is produced by the receiver itself.

    Let's consider the possible reasons for the lack of signal in this case. Where to start?

    Unplug it from the socket without turning it off using the remote control. After a minute, connect to the network. If it still doesn’t show anything, we move on and look for a solution to the problem.

    Perhaps someone has messed up the receiver settings?

    Checking the settings. I wrote about setting up a satellite receiver yourself. If you are sure that no one has tampered with the settings, and everything is fine with them, we look further for a solution to the problem.

    The coaxial cable running from the satellite dish to the receiver is damaged or broken. or has poor contact.

    Check the cable leading from the antenna to the receiver. Strip the cable and screw on the connector again; the contacts may have oxidized.

    Didn't help? Let's move on. After what we checked, there are two left possible options no signal. Either the setting of the satellite dish itself has gone wrong or the converter (gun) has become damaged. In this case, it remains to call a specialist.     I paid for the Telecard but the channels are not showing

    Each operator on the satellite has FTA channels. These are not encrypted channels broadcast in the public domain. They work without any payment and without an access card. There is no dollar sign next to these channels. A list of FTA channels on different satellites can be viewed.

    One of the FTA channels is “Infochannel”. We switch to it if the channel is working, turn on the channel “Match TV” or “Russia 1”, and leave the television alone for 10-15 minutes. During this time, the coded channels (the dollar sign next to the channel) should work.

    Attention! If the “Info channel” does not show, this means that there is no signal coming from the antenna, or the satellite receiver itself is configured incorrectly. I have already written above what to do in this case.

    So 15 minutes passed, nothing happened, reboot the receiver. Without turning it off with the remote control, unplug it from the socket, and after a minute turn it on again. We wait for another 10-15 minutes.

    Check if the access card is inserted correctly. The access card is always inserted with the chip first. Where the chip should be at the top or bottom depends on the model of the device. On some models there is an arrow indicating where the chip should be located.

    In the receiver settings, you can find a section with information on the access card, and see whether it sees it or not. The easiest way to find out whether the card is installed correctly is to pull it out, and without taking your eyes off the TV display, insert it back in and see what information the receiver gives us.

    If the card is inserted incorrectly, it will report an error to us. If true, it will display information about the encoding. Was this the problem? Everything is fixed, great. Or does it still show nothing? Not good, let's move on.

    I know cases where clients threw money in places they didn’t want. I'm sure this is not your option. And yet you need to make sure that the money is credited to your account.

    What we checked and did in the end:

    The signal is received by the receiver, we are convinced of this;
    - open TV channels (those that are not encrypted without a dollar sign) are shown;
    - the receiver sees the card;
    - there is money in the account;
    - the receiver was rebooted (not turning it off using the remote control, but unplugging it from the socket, turning it on a minute later and waiting 10-15 minutes).

    But the Telecard still doesn’t show it. This cannot be - I am telling you this as a doctor. Check everything point by point again.

    Why don't they show free channels on Telekart?

    Sometimes clients call me and tell me that they don’t show it on their Telecard free channels. They say something like this: We have a Telecard in our dacha, we don’t need a lot of channels, we don’t have time to watch, we didn’t pay money, we don’t show free channels, everything is turned off.

    The fact is that at the time of publication of the article, Telecard does not have anything free. There are a certain number of FTA channels on the satellite that are not encoded and are freely available. They show you without money and without an access card.

    Some will say this is a violation of the law. Absolutely not, on the page with the list of channels, the Telecard has the following written at the bottom:

    You can call technical support and be indignant at why they turned off the mandatory public TV channels, they should be available without a subscription fee.

    The answer will be something like this. They will tell you that there really is no charge for them, but please pay the money for the operator’s communication services. Only 50 rubles per month (600 per year), and watch public TV channels for free without a subscription fee for the same “Standard” package (1,200 rubles per year).

    Other operators did the same. Well, that is, that is - The account has run out of money, only FTA channels are shown.

    Telecard does not show some channels

    Let's look at this situation.

    The telecard does not show what to do in the rain

    The telecard does not show in the rain, or if it is winter, then in the snow. What to do, what is the reason?

    We are talking not about a wall of rain, and not about a snow hurricane, but about ordinary light rain (ordinary snowfall).

    There may be two reasons:

    - small antenna mirror size(the antenna diameter is less than that recommended by the operator) What size dish should be in your case, look at;

    - your plate is not tuned to its maximum.

    Rarely, but it happens, the problem that the Telecard does not show in the rain may be in the converter (gun) or in the receiver itself. Can only be checked by replacement.

    Telecard doesn't work

    The receiver does not respond to the remote control or the buttons located on the body (if your model has them). Nothing happens, no lights are on.

    Most likely, the power supply has died. Here you can only repair or buy a new receiver.
