If you are more or less advanced user computer, then I do not recommend installing drivers automatically using any programs. Firstly, such programs may not install completely compatible drivers, and secondly, not entirely relevant (i.e. the newest). Most best option– this is to install drivers manually by downloading them from the official websites of computer manufacturers or individual devices. I wrote separate articles about manual installation, which you can open using the links in the first paragraph. However, for beginners such automatic programs can make life a lot easier.

DriverPack Full. This version of DriverPack Solution is about 10.2 GB in size. The difference is that this version is intended for updating drivers without an Internet connection, since the archive with the program will already have all the drivers from the database. This is why the size of the version is so huge. It makes sense to use this version if you do not have an Internet connection on your computer, for example, due to uninstalled drivers for the network card.

If you have Internet access on your computer, download DriverPack Online by clicking the “DOWNLOAD” button. exe". The download will begin immediately and the program can be launched as usual.

Download the full version of the program (DriverPack Full) only if your computer does not have Internet access. I do not recommend clicking the “Install automatically” button, because in this case the program can automatically install everything that is required and, in addition, what you do not need, for example, programs that the service thinks are necessary for your computer (some kind of browser, archiver , player, etc.). It's better to click the "Install Manually" button so that you have the opportunity to select what you want to install from DriverPack Solution:

A window will open with 2 tabs: “Drivers” and “Software”. First, open the first tab and see in it a list of all the drivers that are missing in your system, or that are already outdated and require updating. In this tab, I recommend checking all the drivers to install everything that is needed on your system from DriverPack Solution + update outdated versions. Having selected all drivers from the list, click the “Install drivers” button at the bottom:

This version of the program installs all the necessary drivers more often than a similar shortened version. For example, when I tried to install drivers using the DriverPack Online version, one driver (for the chipset) was not installed, but this driver was installed through the full version of the program - DriverPack Full. Let's look at how to use Driverpack Solution in the full version.

The full version of the DriverPack Solution – Full program downloaded to your computer is ISO file large size(about 10.2 GB). To open this file do the following:

When DriverPack Solution starts, it will take a couple more minutes to collect information about your computer's devices and show you which drivers are not installed and which have updates. The program also has a more advanced mode, which displays more settings. This is expert mode. You can enable it by checking the “Settings” option on the left side of the window and then “Expert Mode”:

There you also see the option “Save logs to disk”. This function ordinary users It's unlikely to ever be useful. It allows you to save to your computer special files with reports on the results of installations and updates.

After turning on expert mode, 3 buttons will appear opposite each driver:

From left to right these buttons mean: automatic installation drivers, manual driver installation, download driver from the Internet. Manual installation allows you to display the driver installation process, and when you select the 3rd function, you can simply download the driver file manually from the Internet and then continue the installation. With automatic installation, I think everything is clear: you pressed the button and the driver was completely installed by itself, without giving you any messages or asking anything :)

This is the principle of using the DriverPack Solution program. There is nothing complicated, but you should also understand that the program, unfortunately, does not always install all the drivers. For example, on one of the laptops (Asus N75S), where I conducted an experiment on installing drivers, I did not want to install the driver for the chipset using Online versions programs – DriverPack Online. It installed through the full version of the program. But the driver for the video card was not installed through any of the versions. Of course, judging various reviews, such problems do not occur very often. More often, the program still finds and installs all the drivers.

This program is great for beginners who don’t yet know how to use the Internet and especially won’t be able to find and install the necessary drivers on their own.
