Selection and justification of the project

In our small apartment, where the hallway is not very large, we are faced with the problem of placing the phone. The best option is to install the device on a shelf specially designed for this purpose. Listed below are all the problems that a consumer faces when purchasing a shelf in a store (in the market).

A rational solution is a shelf that matches the interior of the hallway, the design of which should be original, easy to manufacture, and low costs for the purchase of material for its implementation. Therefore, there is a need for independent production of a shelf that meets the above requirements. For the manufacture of a shelf, the following factors must be taken into account:

Given the features of the interior, in my opinion, the following options for shelves for the phone are possible:

The design of the designed shelf must have a device for recording information. This problem requires further research.

The most acceptable in this list of options is a notebook attached to the wall. But the main disadvantage of this method is that the aesthetics of the hallway are deteriorating. Considering the above points, we decided to design a shelf with a sliding board for recording information, as well as for placing a telephone directory on it. Let us imagine the design of such a shelf in Fig. 118 with the specification in table. 9.

The sliding board is attached under the base of the shelf using brackets and a rod. To fix the board in extreme positions, clamps are used (Fig. 119).

To prevent the telephone directory from falling out when sliding in and out of the board, limiter brackets are installed (Fig. 120).

Design requirements.

When designing an object, one should take into account its reliability, durability, versatility, ease and simplicity of assembly, maximum weight and dimensions, design requirements (organism and integrity of the external form, proportionality, harmony of lines, volumetric and color elements, etc.).

The overall dimensions of the shelf are determined based on the overall dimensions of the telephone set (180*140x110).

Material used

The main material for the manufacture of shelves is wood. Consider the types of lumber and glued wood.

The most affordable material for the manufacture of shelves is multi-layer plywood 10 mm thick. Plywood is easy to process, well sanded, etc. Knowing the design and determining the materials of the product, we will present the data on the specific features of the shelf in the specification (Table 9).

Shelf manufacturing technology

For manufacturing, we use the following basic operations: marking, sawing, grinding, assembly, finishing.

The greatest difficulty is the work associated with assembly and finishing, as there are many different options, and you need to choose the most optimal one.
Various product finishes:

The interior of our hallway is suitable for staining the product with a stain to match the color of the furniture, carving, varnishing. Therefore, we choose these finishing methods.
Various options for connecting parts of the product:

The most acceptable for this object is the connection with spikes and glue. The sequence of work is presented in the technological map (Table 10).

Shelf fixing method

On the wall where the shelf is installed, drill 2 holes, drive in the dowels, screw in the screws. Hang the shelf.

Preparation time

Making a shelf does not require a lot of time. Approximately it will take 10" 12 hours.

Economic costs

For the manufacture of the shelf, plywood 10 mm thick is required. The price of a standard sheet of plywood 1500 x 1500 (2.25 m 2) is 50,000 rubles.

The design of the shelf contains 8 parts. But we will make an economic calculation for 4 main details:
detail 1 - shelf (base) - 10x250x180;
detail 2 - retractable board - 10x230x180;
detail 3 - wall - 10 x 250x100;
detail 7 (2 pieces) - side wall - 10x150x70.
The fixing bar (2 pcs.), the bracket (2 pcs.), the rod, the bracket-limiter (2 pcs.) are made from production waste.

Let's calculate the amount of material needed to make the shelf:

The price of a sheet 1500x1500 (2.25 m 2) is 50,000 rubles, the cost of plywood is:

C 1 \u003d 0.132x50000 / 2.25 \u003d 2933 rubles.

To assemble the shelf parts, 50 g of glue (0.05 kg) was used. The price of 1 kg of glue is 20,000 rubles.

C 2 \u003d 0.05x20000 \u003d 1000 rubles.

To stain the shelf with stain, 1 g of stain powder was used. The price of 100 g of stain powder is 1000 rubles.

C 3 \u003d 0.001x1000 \u003d 10 rubles.

To cover the shelf with varnish, 100 g of varnish was used. The price of 1 kg of varnish is 15,000 rubles.

C 4 \u003d 0.1x15000 \u003d 1500 rubles.

The total cost of materials for the manufacture of the shelf was:

C total \u003d C 1 + C 2 + C 3 + C 4 \u003d 2933 + 1000 + Yu + 1500 \u003d 5443 rubles.

As can be seen from the calculations, the manufacture of such a shelf does not require large material costs. The study showed that the price of an ordinary phone shelf is 20,000-40,000 rubles.

A man, as long as he remembers himself, has always begun to make his home cozy and beautiful. Many thousands of years ago, while still living in a cave, a primitive hunter began to depict people and animals on his walls. 1. Jigsaw - a hand tool with a replaceable saw blade designed for curved sawing of plywood and thin boards.

3. Skin - paper or cloth sprinkled over the glue with emery or fine broken glass.

4. Self-tapping screw - a fastener in the form of a rod with a head and a special external thread that forms an internal thread in the hole of the connected object.

5. Drill-cutting tool with a rotary cutting movement and an axial feed movement, designed to make holes in a continuous layer of material.

Wood materials - structural, insulating and ornamental materials obtained by processing natural wood with binders, gluing, etc. Depending on the manufacturing method, wood-based materials are divided into pressed, impregnated, glued laminated wood, wood-based plastics and wood-based panels.

There are 2 materials from which you can make a key holder:

1) wood - a relatively hard and durable fibrous material, the main part of the trunks, branches and roots of trees and shrubs hidden by the bark. It consists of countless tubular cells with membranes mainly of cellulose.

2) plywood - a multi-layer building material is made by gluing specially prepared veneer.

3) lining is a natural wood sheathing board. It is often used for both outdoor and indoor finishing work. Most country houses and cottages are finished with clapboard, which is called siding, and it is also often used to build various gazebos and baths.

For the stand, we choose 9 mm plywood, since plywood is light and durable.

6. Safety regulations.

Before starting work, you must:

Tidy up your work clothes.

Prepare the workplace for work.

Work with a jigsaw and an awl with securely fastened and serviceable tools.

Securely attach the saw table to the workbench.

Securely fix the file in the frame of the jigsaw.

Do not make sudden movements with a jigsaw when cutting, do not lean low over the workpiece.

Put on overalls.

Check inventory availability.

Securely clamp the workpiece in a vise.

Perform work only with serviceable, well-adjusted tools.

To avoid injury, be sure to:

A) tools with pointed tails must be equipped with wooden, tightly fitting handles, of an established shape without splits and cracks;

B) do not be distracted during work;

C) when working with a hacksaw, when washing down, use devices.
