» » Where to get free images for a website, blog and social networks

Internet promotion now is 74% visual content. Visual marketing is taking over more and more of the market, and in a couple of years, most posts will be either an image or a video.

Where can I get free images for designing a group, posts, websites, blogs and more?

I will share with you several resources from where you can save materials for any – commercial and non-commercial – use with impunity.

    Free stock photos

    Sites with gifs

GIFs are something between a video and a picture: they load faster and easier than a video, and they contain more information than a regular photograph. That’s why they are so loved by content consumers.

Here is a list of resources where you can get cool GIFs:

You can search and download GIFs everywhere without registration or SMS.

    Meme generators

There are many different ones, but it makes sense to use only one, the most popular and quickly updated - Risovac. Go to the main page, then in the menu click “Create a meme” or “Create a comic”. We choose a template and write our own creative.

The only negative is the copyright at the bottom right, but it can be cut off or erased if desired. Personally, I love this site so much that I’m ready to do such a little advertising for it.

    Freelance exchanges

For those who need high-quality, unique and, most importantly, completely their own illustrations that can be sold or used anywhere without fear of running into the author’s displeasure, there are freelance exchanges. You create a project, describe what kind of illustration or photograph you need, and dozens of performers offer their services. All you have to do is choose the best one.

Many people are confused about where to get pictures for posts. Borrowing images can get you in the neck, but you don’t have time to create visual content yourself. In this article you will find several dozen sources of free images with which you can illustrate publications.

    How to bypass copyright

Almost all images created within the last three decades are automatically protected by copyright. You can't just copy them from someone else's site and post them on your blog. This threatens you with the following consequences (from most to least likely):

    • When your content is stolen, in response to outrage you will hear that “you are the same, sit down and shut up.”
    • Your conscience will torture you to death.
    • Some principled copyright holder will complain about you to search engines, and they will remove some pages of your site from the search results.
    • Some principled copyright holder will sue you and force you to pay compensation.

You can bypass copyright in three ways. First, you can create the images yourself. This will partially solve the image search problem. Secondly, use photos that are licensed under a Creative Commons license. Third, use images that are in the public domain.

    What is Creative Commons
