• Highscreen power file max honest review. Highscreen Power Five Max - Technical specifications. Communication between devices in mobile networks is carried out using technologies that provide different data transfer rates

Well known in the domestic market. The company produces very interesting devices. The Power series of smartphones stands out especially, the distinctive feature of which is the use of high-capacity batteries.

Recently, the manufacturer introduced a new “long-lasting” smartphone, Highscreen Power Five Max, which is “head and shoulders above” other models in terms of battery life. This is not surprising, because the device is equipped with a battery with a record capacity of 5000 mAh!

But, in addition to the “giant” battery, the Highscreen Power Five Max has many more tricks up its sleeve, and read which ones exactly in our review, let’s go!

    Flagship design

Highscreen smartphones have always been distinguished by a rather simple, ascetic appearance; most often the devices were made of plastic, but the Highscreen Power Five Max was an exception. The company's designers have seriously worked on the appearance of the smartphone. As a result, the new product looks at the level of flagships from the most famous brands.

The body is made of aluminum, and the screen is covered with protective 2.5D glass. There are no plastic elements at all, which emphasizes the premium level of the device. The smartphone is available in a copper-colored case; the design is monolithic and fits perfectly in the hand.

The power key and volume rocker are located on the right side. Above them is a tray for two independent Micro SIM cards. The memory card tray is separate and is located on the left side of the device. The smartphone supports microSD memory expansion cards up to 128 GB.

At the top end there is an IR port and a 3.5 mm jack for connecting headphones. At the bottom end there is a microUSB connector for charging and transferring files from a PC, and on either side of it there are microphone and main speaker grilles.

Highscreen Power Five Max is equipped with a 5.5-inch screen with Full HD resolution 1920x1080 pixels. The matrix is made using AMOLED technology and is characterized by incredibly rich colors, high brightness and deep contrast.

Below the screen there is a mechanical Home key with a built-in ultra-fast fingerprint scanner. On the sides of the key there are touch buttons, the left one is responsible for multitasking mode, and the right one is for returning “one step back”.

On the back of the case there is a manufacturer’s logo, and above it there is a peephole for the smartphone’s main camera – everything is standard.

The ergonomics of the Highscreen Power Five Max are excellent, as is the design of this smartphone. The manufacturer has done really serious work on the appearance of the device, which has yielded results in the form of a premium look that even top-end flagship devices from world-famous brands can envy.

    Filling options

Highscreen Power Five Max is built on the basis of an 8-core MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755) processor and a Mali-T860 MP2 video chip, complemented by 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory. The smartphone runs on a pure Android 6.0 OS, without pre-installed shells, which has a positive effect on the speed of the device.

According to the results of performance testing, the device showed average results, which was expected, because The MediaTek Helio P10 processor is not one of the high-performance “stones”. On the other hand, the computing power of the device is sufficient not only to perform standard tasks, but also to run very demanding games.

In the AnTuTu synthetic test, the smartphone scored 51,585 points.

In the graphically complex car simulator Asphalt 8 Extreme, the device performed very well, providing a frame rate of more than 50 frames per second at maximum picture quality settings.

Naturally, the device can easily cope with playing video files with resolutions from HD to 4K. Moreover, both through the built-in player and through the popular MX Player application. There are no problems with playing streaming video from services such as YouTube and Vimeo.

Highscreen Power Five Max is equipped with a powerful audio chip, so the sound in the headphones is very high quality and loud - music lovers will certainly be pleased.

Speaking about the capabilities of the smartphone, we can say with confidence that the Highscreen Power Five Max will not let its owner down when performing tasks of any complexity. The device is not only a faithful assistant for every day, but also a portable entertainment center. Coupled with an incredibly large battery, the Highscreen Power Five Max will be an excellent companion during long trips, business trips and air travel.

    Photo and video capabilities

Highscreen Power Five Max is equipped with two cameras. The main one has a matrix resolution of 13 megapixels, and the front one – 8 megapixels. The main camera is also equipped with a powerful LED flash. The smartphone is capable of taking high-quality pictures from both cameras in sufficient lighting both outdoors and indoors. The camera app has many settings and different shooting modes, including features such as auto-retouching, HDR, face detection, etc.

In addition to taking photographs, Highscreen Power Five Max records video with a Full HD resolution of 1920x1080 pixels and a frequency of 30 frames per second.

The smartphone's cameras fully correspond to its price category. Yes, they will not amaze the sophisticated user, but they will not disappoint either. The quality of the resulting images is at a fairly high level, so you can use the Highscreen Power Five Max as a portable camera without any problems.

    Autonomy

The most interesting point and, obviously, the most significant advantage of the Highscreen Power Five Max is its incredible 5000 mAh battery. This battery can last up to 12 hours in continuous Full HD video viewing mode at maximum screen brightness!

The smartphone's battery is so powerful that the Highscreen Power Five Max can be used as an external battery to charge other devices! This is done using the OTG cable that comes with the device. By the way, the same cable allows you to transfer files between your smartphone and other devices running Android OS (if this function is supported by the latter).

The next feature of the new product is fast charging, which allows you to charge the Highscreen Power Five Max from zero to 100% in less than 2 hours.

We again had a phone from the Russian brand Highscreen in our studio. This time it's Power Five Max. We'll talk about it today.

In general, this phone is arousing a lot of interest, if only because it is the top-end and, accordingly, the most expensive Highscreen phone. Its cost is 20,990 rubles. Well, let's see what good things they can offer us for this money.

The case is not the most standard for Highscreen, as it is non-separable. This is actually quite pleasant, as it results in a complete absence of squeaks. Unlike, for example, the Power Rage Evo model, a review of which you could see a little earlier on the AndroidInsider channel. It was possible to observe some creaks and crunching noises when squeezing the phone. The case, by the way, is made of 6000 series aluminum and has a thickness of only 8.2 mm. This is especially impressive when you find out what kind of battery is built into it. But I'll tell you about this a little later.

Well, the first thing that attracts attention after a visual inspection of the phone is the screen. If we talk about Highscreen, then not many phones from this company can boast of an AMOLED display. Or rather, only two models, namely Highscreen Bay and Power Five Pro. But here it is also Full HD, which was also rare before. Only Boost, Alpha, Zera and Thor could boast of a display with a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels at different times. But now the time has come to combine the advantages of both display options into one that can display perfectly black color in Full HD, as is commonly believed in relation to AMOLED displays. The display itself has a diagonal of 5.5 inches, a density of 480 ppi and Gorilla Glass protection. However, one of the disadvantages is that the manufacturer has not gotten rid of the dark frames around the perimeter of the screen. It's a pity.

We probably can’t say that the screen turned out perfect, but it’s not bad, that’s for sure. Of course, there was some color distortion at a wide viewing angle, but this is more a feature of the technology, and not of this particular display. But still, thanks to this display, the phone makes a very positive impression and further emphasizes its level.

Having talked about the appearance and first impression, it’s time to move on to the phone’s internals. The phone is powered by MediaTech's octa-core Helio P10 processor, also known as MT6755, clocked at 1.95 GHz. The Mali T-860 chip is responsible for the graphics. The processor installed in this phone can be considered a premiere for Highscreen, since it had not been installed in other phone models from this manufacturer before. In the AnTuTu test, the Power Five Max gives 51,734 points, which is not brilliant, of course, and far from many other models, but the result can be called average for this price category. Again, this is a very high score for Highscreen, as previous models gave no more than 40,000 points. And, of course, the functions of the operating system will be performed by Android 6.

The amount of RAM is 4 GB, and the built-in memory is 64 GB. Not bad, but more could be done. The manufacturer thought the same thing and added a slot for microSD memory cards with SDHC support to the phone. So there should be no problem with free space, even if you like to record a lot of videos and music on your phone. By the way, in addition to memory cards, you can also insert a second SIM card into this phone, but this will surprise few people.

In games, hardware allows you not to be distracted from the gameplay due to freezing and stuttering of the image, as well as freezing of these same games. Although the frame rate sometimes does not seem very high, it is only after a long game process, when the phone has already warmed up a little. We tried to run Asphalt, SuperBike, N.O.V.A. on it. 3 and World Of Tanks. The result was almost the same everywhere.

Who loves taking photos? Frost loves taking photos! Although, of course, many people like it when their phone has a good camera. What do we have in this phone? If we talk about the characteristics in a nutshell, then the resolution of the main camera is 16 megapixels, and the front one is 8 megapixels. Naturally, both have an autofocus function, and the main one has an LED flash. However, the front camera was not deprived of something like a flash. Here we simulate a flash by illuminating the subject with a white screen set to maximum brightness.

There are no special complaints about the quality of the photographs, but perhaps it would be better to make a camera with a slightly lower resolution, but also with less noise, since with high magnification they still begin to appear. Sometimes the “night” mode helps in the room, which significantly reduces the noise level. At the same time, the camera will delight those who like to delve into the settings. Traditionally for representatives of the middle class of phones, there are many settings and shooting modes. There are “HDR”, “Night”, “Panorama”, “Time Lapse” and “Burst” modes. For effect lovers, you can shoot GIFs and Polaroid-style photo cards with the ability to add text to the bottom of the photo. Well, for work there is a scanner of QR codes, text and business cards, built into the Photo application itself. Some of these modes are also available for the front camera. It’s also worth noting those who like to take all photos manually. They can also be done through the standard photo application.

Highscreen has always focused on high-capacity batteries. So, for example, the same Boost 3 comes with two batteries, the largest of which is 6900 mAh. In this phone the situation is more modest, but not much, since the manufacturer managed to fit a 5000 mAh battery into its 8.2 mm thick case. And it’s hard to say that this is just a figure, since in preparation for the review the phone was used quite actively, but the battery still lasted for two days. If you use it as a regular device for every day, it can last for three or even four days. Well, in standby mode you can forget about the socket for clearly more than a week. In general, on its website, Highscreen talks about 25 hours of telephone conversation, 17 hours of listening to music and 11 hours of watching HD video.

The quality of the music is normal, not bad or good. Average or slightly above average for phones in this price category. Well, thanks to the high-quality headphones that come in the kit, you can listen to music without investing in additional accessories. Of course, some will want better headphones, but for the vast majority the included earbuds will be sufficient. The volume of the external speaker is not great, but at a fairly good level. Subjectively, like other models from this manufacturer. Listening to music through an external speaker for a long time won't be much fun, but it works well for loud calls.

The seller was not greedy and put in the box everything you needed for the first time, and not only that. Package Included:

    • the phone itself
    • power cord
    • power adapter
    • headphones
    • OTG cable
    • protective film on glass
    • back cover

Overall the phone makes a pretty good impression. The advantages include an aluminum body, an AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels with a fairly good density, high performance and a huge battery. Well, the downsides are slight interference when shooting indoors and some distortion of screen colors when viewed from a high angle. Although, if you don’t find fault, you can attribute these disadvantages to the peculiarities of the screen technology and the relatively low cost of the phone itself. Although its cost is 21,000 rubles on the manufacturer’s website. But in any case, the phone turned out to be quite good for the money. The only pity is that it only comes in one color. At least for now.

You can buy this Highscreen Power Five Max at. And using the promo code androidinsider you will get a 5% discount. The price of the phone will be 19,100 rubles.

Super AMOLED, 5,000 mAh battery, MediaTek Helio P10 - these are the key characteristics of the new product from Highscreen - Power Five Max. The company is positioning the device as a flagship and justified, because it really has a very impressive set of “specs”. True, the price let us down a little.

Highscreen Power Five Max is the top device in the Power line. From the name it is clear that the device is quite durable and boasts a 5,000 mAh battery. The manufacturer claims that the device can play HD videos for 8.5 hours and allows you to listen to music for 17 hours in a row. Of course, all the nuances of testing are not disclosed, but it is what it is.

Another important advantage of the device is its 5.5-inch screen with Full HD resolution and 100% NTSC color gamut coverage. Matrices of this type are characterized by the presence of deep black color and maximum viewing angles without the slightest hint of inversion. Of course, in practice there may be variations. Let's hope that the Power Five Max doesn't disappoint in real world tests.

And there is no need to worry about the body here. It is made from 6000 series aluminum. Not flagship materials by the standards of the very best devices on the market, but still not a shame.

    Introduction

The Vobis Computer company, which owns the Highscreen brand, has released, as it seems to me, a relatively affordable and ultimate smartphone in the middle segment - Power Five Max. The device is made of durable 6000 series aluminum, the screen is protected by tempered glass, inside you will find an 8-core P10 chip, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory. In addition, the device can install a memory card up to 128 GB and two SIM cards at the same time (such a combination is almost impossible to find now). And in order for this entire powerful “machine” to work for a long time, the developers installed a 5000 mAh battery in the Power Five Max. Small things include phase detection autofocus for the main camera, a fingerprint scanner and an IR transmitter.

At the moment, Highscreen PFM (in short) can be bought for 21,000 rubles.

    Design, dimensions, control elements

I am sure that Highscreen has never done anything better in terms of materials and design. The Power Five Max really looks great and is built with high quality. Of course, it is a bit reminiscent of OnePlus 3, but now almost all devices are similar.

The appearance of the PFM is laconic, without unnecessary frills and decoration elements - a strict men's smartphone in bronze color. The front panel has 2.5D glass, the frames are visually very thin, and there are two polished edges along the perimeter (by the way, almost until the last moment before the review I thought they were blue, but it turned out that a protective film was glued to them). The back cover is slightly sloping, making the phone comfortable to hold. There are two thin plastic horizontal partitions at the top and bottom (apparently, antennas are located there). Please note - not plastic inserts, but partitions - everything is like in adults :) I repeat once again that the body is made of 6000 series aluminum (similar material is used in the Apple iPhone 6 and 6S).

During the use of the device, there was not a single scratch left on the Highscreen screen, on the back cover, as well as on the side frames - an excellent result, theoretically you can believe in the strength of the durable 6000 series aluminum case.

All elements are located symmetrically relative to each other, which is not bad. The oleophobic coating is present, excellent quality: fingerprints are practically invisible, the finger glides without problems.

At the top center is a speaker covered with a metal mesh. The speaker is loud, there is a reserve in volume, the timbre is pleasant. To the left of it is a camera and an indicator of missed events, to the right are light and proximity sensors.

Below the screen there is a mechanical button with a fingerprint scanner built into it. The button is slightly recessed into the body, the pressure is firm, the travel is small. On the right and left – “Back”, “Menu” without backlight.

At the bottom there are holes for the speakerphone and microphone, microUSB. It’s strange that this particular type of USB was used in this device, because the gadget is new, supports fast charging - Type-C could also be used.

On the left side there is a metal slot for a microSD memory card. On the right are slots for two microSIM cards. Please note that there are two SIM cards and a separate memory card; there are practically no good gadgets with such a scheme. However, the Samsung A5 and A7 will work exactly like this, however, their cost is higher than the Power Five Max.

The power button and volume key are also on the right. They are metal and easy to handle.

On top you will find a 3.5mm audio output for headphones and an IR blaster. How necessary the latter is is probably not for me to decide, but the fact that it exists is an additional plus to the overall assessment of the smartphone in conclusion.

On the reverse side there are: a camera module protruding a millimeter above the body, a second microphone and a flash.

In general, I liked the ergonomics of the design, the appearance of the device and the materials: you get the feeling that you are using an expensive gadget, which cannot be said about many Chinese phones...

    Highscreen and Huawei P9 Plus

    Display

The device is equipped with a display with a diagonal of 5.5 inches. Physical size – 68x121 mm, frames on the right and left – just over 3 mm. PFM resolution is FullHD, that is, 1920x1080 pixels, density is 400 pixels per inch. The matrix is made using SuperAMOLED technology without an air gap. What generation of Samsung matrices is unknown, but PenTile is almost invisible. A significant disadvantage is the lack of color saturation settings (you can only select warm or cool shades), so the colors are always vibrant, and even I (a big fan of Amoled) cannot look at the display for a long time: my eyes quickly get tired of the brightness, contrast and super-rich colors.

The brightness of the matrix backlight is high, it is enough for comfortable reading of information under direct sunlight.

    Battery

The new product has a built-in 5000 mAh battery. The capacity is large, but the operating time of the device could be longer: in talk mode - up to 15 hours, in video viewing mode - up to 12 hours, the screen glows at maximum brightness for about 6-7 hours. In mixed use mode, the smartphone lasts for about a day and a half.

The gadget supports fast charging, AC adapter 5V – 2A, 7V – 1.8A, 9V – 1.8A, 12V – 1.3A. If you are worried that the battery will begin to lose its capacity or simply fail faster, then you can turn off fast charging in the settings. Definitely a plus!

    Communication capabilities

The Highscreen Power Five Max smartphone is equipped with two slots for micro SIM cards. There is support for 4G LTE. Frequencies: 800, 900, 1800, 2600 (B1, B3, B7, B20) MHz. Naturally, there is Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth version 4.0, GPS and even GLONASS (satellites are found instantly, sensitivity is high). One of the original things is an IR transmitter for working with equipment.

    Memory

Inside the PFM you will find 4GB of RAM. As far as I know, the Power Five Max is the first Highscreen smartphone with such a large amount of RAM (by company standards). There are few officially sold devices under 20,000 rubles and with 4 GB of RAM in Russia. Built-in memory – 64 GB. The speed of receiving and transmitting data is above average, which is good. The device supports microSD cards up to 128 GB and OTG.

    Cameras

The main camera is equipped with a 13 MP Sony Exmor RS IMX258 sensor (sensor size 1/3.06’’, pixel size 1.12m, aperture f=2.0) with BSI back illumination. A similar module is installed in Meizu M3e, Lenovo Vibe P2, Sony Xperia XA, Xiaomi Mi4C and many other gadgets in the mid-price segment. Front camera 8 MP, aperture f=2.2.

The quality of the camera for its price completely satisfied me: always accurate white balance, fast and accurate focusing, little noise, natural colors, wide dynamic range. Not a Samsung Galaxy S7, but it takes decent photos!

Below is a comparison of Highscreen Power Five Max, Huawei P9 Plus and Meizu MX6. The device from Huawei, then Meizu, performed best, and not surprisingly, and the Highscreen brings up the rear. However, Meizu and Highscreen shoot about the same, the first one is a little less noisy.

From left to right - Highscreen Power Five Max, Huawei P9 Plus and Meizu MX6

The video is shot in FullHD, I didn’t like the quality.

    The front camera is great!

There are many filters in the settings, there are manual parameters - ISO, shutter speed, and so on.

    Sample photos

    Performance and OS

The smartphone operates on a MediaTek P10 chip (8 cores, Mali-T860 graphics). A large number of devices run on this chipset, including competitors Meizu M3e, M3 Note and others. From the point of view of glitches and brakes, PFM does not raise any questions - it is fast and without lags. If we talk about toys, then 50,000 “parrots” in Antutu indicate that all games will definitely launch, but some of them will run on medium settings. The gadget is not exactly a gaming one. Under processor load, the metal case heats up slightly.

Just in time for the New Year, when everyone is actively looking for gifts, Highscreen introduced its new flagship smartphone Power Five Max. With this model, the company summed up the fruitful year for releases in 2016, and at the same time made a serious bid for the next 12 months. Over the past year, six Highscreen smartphones have been in my hands. Each of them was quite good considering they belonged to the low price segment and were popular with buyers who expected to get an inexpensive and high-quality smartphone with a long battery life. At the end of the year, Highscreen decided that for now it would not limit itself to meeting the basic needs of customers and allow itself something more. This is how Power Five Max appeared - the most expensive smartphone in the brand’s lineup.

In this device, the approach to the selection of components has changed significantly - we are no longer talking about choosing medium-power components for the sake of price and low power consumption. Having a good position in the low price segment, it’s time to move on and try to capture new niches for ourselves. For example, the new Power Five Max became the first Highscreen smartphone to feature a high-resolution Super AMOLED screen, a powerful processor, modules with large amounts of RAM and storage, and a fingerprint scanner. Along with the new positioning, even the design of the box has changed - instead of the usual blue drawing of a smartphone on a white background, Highscreen designers decided to pack the devices in black cardboard with large typography.

    First about the design

The all-metal body of the Highscreen Power Five Max is made of 6000-series aluminum and its design is a bit reminiscent of (but definitely does not copy) the LeEco, HTC 10 and OnePlus 3 smartphones. On the back panel, two neat plastic inserts are located horizontally, ensuring uninterrupted operation of the communication modules, In the center of the body there is traditionally a large logo, and in the upper part there is a rounded square of the main camera that shimmers in the light, a noise-canceling microphone and a flash. The main speaker grid, familiar to Highscreen, has changed its location and has been moved from the rear panel to the bottom edge. On one side of the micro-USB port there is a microphone perforation, on the opposite side there is a new speaker location. A 3.5 mm jack for connecting headphones and an IR port for controlling household appliances are located on the top edge of the smartphone, and on the larger sides there are traditionally volume control and power buttons, a SIM card tray, and a microSD slot.

If we talk about the front side, the main difference between the Power Five Max and other Highscreen smartphones was the appearance of a mechanical Home button with a built-in fingerprint scanner. Above the screen in the center there is a speaker, and on the side of it there are symmetrically located circles of the front camera and auxiliary sensors. By the way, symmetry runs throughout the entire design of the Highscreen Power Five Max: all elements of the rear panel are arranged strictly vertically, the perforations and fastening screws are located clearly on the sides of the USB port, and there are two “eyes” above the screen on the sides of the speaker. All this creates the feeling of a well-thought-out, high-quality and expensive device; even if you really want to, you won’t be able to find fault with the design of the Power Five Max. Well, unless in principle you don’t like this style of appearance of smartphones, although this is a matter of taste, and not a real complaint against the manufacturer.

The thickness of the Power Five Max deserves special mention. Highscreen has taught its users that it makes no sense to sacrifice battery capacity and battery life for the thickness of a smartphone. In the new device, this approach no longer works, but you still won’t have to make compromises. Design engineers were able to fit a 5000 mAh battery into a body that is just 8.2 millimeters thick, thin (less than 2 mm) bezels on either side of the screen, and an adequate weight of 180 grams. Power Five Max looks very stylish and compact, it is really convenient to use and at some moments you can’t even believe that we are actually talking about a smartphone with great battery life.

    One touch

The fingerprint scanner is something I've been waiting for from Highscreen for a very long time. The manufacturer literally managed to jump onto the last carriage of the departing train and still introduce a smartphone with a fingerprint sensor in 2016. Postponing the introduction of this technology until the new year would be simply indecent. Based on experience, the scanner works as it should - it instantly reads the fingerprint and unlocks the smartphone. There are no questions or complaints about this component; its accuracy and speed are high. However, it’s very difficult for me to resist throwing a stone at Highscreen due to the lack of NFC. According to rumors, it is known that in 2017, the Android Pay mobile payment service may be launched in Russia, so a combination of a fingerprint scanner and an NFC module would allow the use of Power Five Max instead of a bank card. In defense of the manufacturer, we can only mention the fact that in the regions where Highscreen is most popular, terminals supporting contactless payments are rare. However, this statement can hardly be called a worthy justification. I hope that in 2017 the Highscreen lineup will continue to use fingerprint scanners and will add an NFC module.

    Power for a long time

If previously the Highscreen company chose the minimum possible components for comfortable operation that would ensure low battery consumption, then in the Power Five Max the filling corresponds to devices in the mid-price range. Performance is ensured by a combination of a 64-bit 8-core MediaTek Helio P10 chip with a frequency of 1.95 GHz, a Mali T-860 graphics accelerator and 4 GB of RAM. This configuration can no longer be called a budget solution for working with applications and undemanding games. Owners of Power Five Max will be able to run World Of Tanks: Blitz, Asphalt: Extreme, Godfire: Rise of Prometheus on it, resource-demanding games with above-average graphics settings. This is a radical difference between the new smartphone and all its predecessors and the brand’s full-fledged entry into a higher league in the mobile device market.

Despite decent performance, battery life remains the hallmark of Highscreen smartphones. The manufacturer claims that the 5000 mAh battery will last for 17 hours of music playback, 11 hours of HD video viewing or 25 hours of calls. Since few people will spend all the charge on just one thing, it is best to evaluate autonomy by mixed operating mode. With very active use, the Power Five Max works for me for about two days without recharging, and if I at least slightly limit communication, updating social network news feeds and listening to music, I can count on even better performance. By the way, if we talk about heavy processes, resource-intensive games for an hour reduce the battery charge by only 10-13%.

    All eyes on the screen

Another technological step forward for Highscreen was the transition from IPS displays with HD resolution to Super AMOLED matrices with Full HD resolution (1920x1080). The Power Five Max display looks great with really deep blacks and very high brightness and contrast. In winter, checking this is problematic, but we can assume that the screen’s behavior in the sun will be excellent. The screen covers 100% of the NTSC color gamut and offers users, if necessary, to independently change the white balance, choosing from neutral, warm or cool gamut.

    Freeze the moment

The main camera is a Sony IMX258 module with a 13 megapixel sensor resolution and BSI pixel backlight technology to reduce noise in photographs. There is no optical stabilization or laser focusing; most often these are the privileges of more expensive smartphones. The Power Five Max has the best shooting quality among all Highscreen smartphones. When talking about the camera, I no longer need to make the reservation that normal photographs are taken only in ideal lighting, and as shooting conditions deteriorate, the quality of the photographs drops dramatically. Of course, the Power Five cannot compete with smartphones costing over 30 thousand rubles, but the camera allows you to take really good photos and will not disappoint the owner in everyday use.

The camera software also leaves a good impression; the manufacturer has provided all the popular shooting modes, including panorama, HDR, time-lapses, barcode scanning, as well as manual settings and the ability to create GIFs. For the front camera, which is a quite ordinary and good-quality module with a fixed focus and a resolution of 8 megapixels, there is also a mode for improving the quality of selfies.

    What's the result?

The Power Five Max smartphone is a very serious step forward for the Highscreen brand and an excellent result of the outgoing year. Having achieved success in the budget segment, the manufacturer begins to raise the stakes and does so with clear success. Among the significant disadvantages of the Power Five Max, one can only note the lack of an NFC module, but this smartphone also has strengths, which I did not dwell on in too much detail. For example, Highscreen does not modify the Android operating system and does not pre-install junk applications. Among the changes, we can only note a slightly improved Settings section, which added support for gestures and implemented a different logic for grouping options. The Power Five Max also has a high-quality audio chip, an IR port paired with a special application allows you to control home appliances, the main speaker is loud enough not to miss calls and notifications, and the screen is covered with glass rounded at the edges with a 2.5D effect.

We can only hope that the Power Five Max will sell no less successfully than the budget Highscreen models, and this will allow the manufacturer to continue improving its products and moving into the price segment of more than 20 thousand rubles.
