If you don’t know it either and it’s not written down anywhere (and the documents from the SIM card are lost, for example), then the first thing you need to do is call the support number of your mobile operator. There they will tell you how to find out your PUK code (you may even be able to find it out over the phone). If there is no way to call, then contact the nearest customer service center, taking with you the SIM card and the phone in which it was used (you may also be asked for a passport). Some phone models allow you to separately block access to various files that are located in the memory (either the phone or, most often, an additional memory card). To do this, you will need the cable that came with the phone (or was purchased additionally) to connect it to the computer, or a card reader (a small device that allows you to read information from a memory card by connecting it to the computer separately from the phone). The whole complexity of the situation lies in the fact that the device usually stores necessary or important data and contacts, which you don’t want to lose at all.
At the same time, hacking the hardware protection of modern smartphones and tablets is quite difficult.

And in some cases, on the contrary, the data is not as important as you need to unlock your phone in order to simply use it. I want to give a few tips that any user can do. And if they don’t help, you’ll just have to take the gadget to a service center.

Unlocking an Android smartphone

The recommendations below are very dependent on the installed version of the operating system and what additions the smartphone manufacturer has made to it. However, each of them is worth a try.
On the now old version of Android 4, unlocking a PIN or pattern can be quite simple - after several attempts to enter it incorrectly, you will receive a link to restore access. To unlock your phone, first select “Lock” and set a new password. Then unlock and log into the device with a new password. Profit!

There is a special proprietary utility for Samsung smartphones and tablets Dr.Fone. It also allows you to restore access to the phone’s operating system, reset the graphic password or SIM card lock.

Sometimes you can unlock Android as follows:

If there are no other options other than resetting to factory settings, you can try this option. You can reset your iPhone through the iTunes application directly from your computer, to which you will need to connect your phone with a cable. Of course, all data will be erased.

I tried to unlock it several times, but something got in the way. I tried five or seven times. But everything is somehow “on the fly.” It seemed like I was doing everything as needed, but it didn’t work.
If you can’t unlock your Samsung C3300, then try to follow a few rules:
Be patient.
Take an hour of time so that no one and nothing distracts you.
Calm down, collect yourself, concentrate.

Remove the SIM card and memory card from the phone. Turn on your phone. Hold the side lock key to release the lock.
Go to dialing mode. Take a close look at the dialing keypad. Remember, memorize the location of the buttons that you will need to type. Don't forget about the * and # buttons.
I recommend starting with the code *2767*2878#. Practice your combination. It is not good to distract the emergency call operator by practicing how to quickly and accurately dial the required combination. Read the entire procedure in advance.
Now that you dial the combination quickly and accurately, you know the procedure, you can proceed to dialing the emergency number 112.

The phone will ask "Emergency call?" Click Yes. The screen will be locked and a corresponding message will appear: “Press the HOLD key to unlock” with the usual image of a lock. But the lock on the screen most likely will not unlock the screen. You need to press and hold the side unlock button. Perhaps after unlocking the screen will be locked again. Unlock the screen again.
Do not pay attention to what the operator or answering machine tells you or does not yet tell you.

PS: Do not confuse removing the phone lock code with other locks. The PIN code of the SIM card can only be entered three times, after which the SIM card is blocked, which can only be unlocked by knowing the PUK (usually indicated under the erasable cover on the card from which you removed the SIM card). Another option is that the phone is tied to a specific telecom operator and begins to require an unlock code when installing a SIM card from another telecom operator. Perhaps using the combination *2767*3855# will help you.

After this, the phone will automatically turn off. You will have to enable it again. If the phone display flashes, don’t be alarmed, this is quite normal. After the blinking stops, turn on the phone. If you did everything correctly, it should turn on normally. After this, all your data will be reset. To gain access to the phone, you will need to enter a standard code in the form of four or eight zeros.

Today, the PIN code for a SIM card is almost never used, which is why it can turn into a trap. If after turning on your phone you cannot enter the code, after three attempts the card is blocked.

It can only be released using a PUK code (Super PIN). You will find it in the cover letter from your mobile operator. If you have lost your papers, you will have to request a new card from technical support.

Unlocking Android Phones

In the case of the Google system, the process depends on both the installed version and the device manufacturer. We recommend trying the following options one by one. If all else fails, we'll give you tips on what to do next at the end.

The lock can be easily removed if you synchronize the device with a Google account in advance, especially if we are talking about older devices running Android 4. After five unsuccessful attempts to enter the pattern, a link to reset the password will appear. Go through it from your computer through your Google account and disable blocking of your smartphone with a remote command from there.

Android devices from previous years can be unlocked using the Screen UnLock/Lock app. After launching the utility, click on “Release”

The PIN lock on versions prior to Android 4.4 can be removed using the application. And again, under certain conditions: a Google account must be configured on the device.

To get started, from the desktop version of the browser, go to Google Play, find the Screen UnLock/Lock application and click on the “Install” button. The app will automatically set up on your Android phone.

Then, from the second phone, send an SMS to your mobile device number. Write “00000” as the text. Now click on "Release". The way is clear.

If this doesn't work, try using Android remote control, if, of course, your device is associated with a Google account. Open it through the page google.com/android/devicemanager on your desktop computer and sign in with your Google account. In the upper left part of the screen, select your smartphone and click on “Block”. You can now set a new password for your device, which will take effect immediately.

On some devices, it is also possible to remove the screen lock and thus gain access to the phone. To do this, click on “Emergency call” at the bottom of the display. Now enter ten “*” and double-click on the string of characters. Select Copy and add this content at the end of the sequence of stars using the Paste command. Repeat the process until the machine refuses to insert characters.

Go back to the lock screen and open the Camera app by sliding your finger up from the bottom of the screen. Click on the gear to bring up “Settings”. Android will require you to enter a password. Long press the input field and select the "Paste" command. Repeat the adding process until the screen is unlocked and you can access the system.

Owners of Samsung devices can try their luck through the “desktop” software Dr. Fone. It allows you to read device access codes. You can also find out the password using Samsung Account Manager.

If none of the above helps, you will have to reset your phone to factory settings. Unfortunately, in this case all your data will be lost. And yet you can continue to use your smartphone.

To perform such a reset when the device is locked, first turn it off. Then simultaneously hold down the volume down key and the phone's power key. Hold down the keys until the device enters Recovery mode. Use the volume buttons to navigate to the “factory reset” option. Depending on the device and manufacturer, the name of this option may differ slightly. Activate the reset by pressing the key.

Bypass iPhone phone lock

In the case of Apple's OS, the method of bypassing the blocking also depends on the version of the installed system. Some of the options have bugs that allow you to use them to access the device. The latest vulnerability discovered that allows this to happen is hidden in version 9.2.1.

This trick will not work on newer versions of iOS. Here you will have to use the direct enumeration method. The iOS Forensic Toolkit utility promises the best results, but its price (RUB 89,995) is too high. If all else fails, use the iTunes desktop program to reset your device to factory settings. All data will be deleted.
