• Motorola Moto X Force Secret codes. Motorola Moto X Force - detailed overview of the characteristics of Moto x force firmware

    At the end of 2015, the American market was replenished with the flagship model Droid Turbo 2. It was designed to reincarnate the once top Motorola brand. Traditionally for the States, the device was tied to the Verizon operator. However, the new boss in the person of Lenovo went further and introduced Moto X Force - a smartphone for all markets. What is the highlight of this decision, we will now figure it out.

    Appearance and equipment of Motorola Moto X Force

    The manufacturer, contrary to popular belief, does not position its brainchild as a secure device. The only thing is that at the factory the smartphone is treated with a special liquid that makes the case waterproof. Thus, compliance with the IP52 standard is declared, which allows it to be wetted, but not immersed in water. At the same time, Moto X Force is equipped with a Moto ShatterShield display, which theoretically does not break under any conditions. Lenovo gives it a 4-year warranty. As crash tests have shown, the screen can actually withstand several drops on a concrete surface; however, the body bends, but the smartphone itself continues to work.

    The latter here has a metal frame and is made of aluminum. That is why the weight of the device does not exceed 169 g, with dimensions:

    • Width - 78 mm;
    • Height - 149.8 mm;
    • Thickness - 9.20 mm.
    These are quite normal indicators for this type of device. If we talk about the form factor, then we have a 5.4-inch candy bar with rounded edges and fairly thick frames around the screen. The main camera is recessed into the body, which means there is no need to fuss with a case or additional protective glass for the lens. The function keys on the right side are small in size, but they work clearly and do not rattle. In general, the build quality is at a high level, although for this price tag it would be difficult to expect anything else.

    The SIM card tray is located unusually - next to the 3.5 mm jack on the bottom edge of the case. Moreover, there is only one SIM card, but it is adjacent to a slot for a memory card. The back cover is non-removable and is integral with the battery. By the way, it is made of “ballistic nylon”, which a priori cannot be shuffled. But there are problems with the front panel. The fact is that she likes to accumulate dust on the top and bottom of the decorative insert of the speaker. The speakerphone and microphone were also included. Waterproof you say? Well, well. As for the “war color”, here you can choose one single color - black. However, this is a male device with all that it implies.

    The device is supplied with:

    • Smartphone.
    • TurboPower charger.
    • USB cable.
    • A paperclip for removing the SIM card tray.
    • Headset (wired).
    • Manual.

    Motorola Moto X Force screen

    Let's start with the performance characteristics:
    • Maximum rage level at 330 cd/m2;
    • Color gamut (sRGB) more than one hundred percent;
    • Delta E - 1.6;
    • Gamma is 2.3;
    • Color temperature - 6800K.
    Not to say that these are outstanding characteristics for a capacitive AMOLED screen. Moreover, it is produced by Samsung, which produces higher quality displays for themselves, but here they clearly cheated. However, QHD resolution is present, but the manufacturing technology deserves special attention. Multilayer protection is implemented here, where the first layer is two durable plastic panels, then there are two touch substrates, then a touch “soft” OLED matrix that is indifferent to shocks. The picture is completed by an aluminum substrate that covers the iron. Yes, it’s difficult to break this “Big Mac”, but it’s easy to scratch, since the manufacturer did not provide tempered glass, so you’ll have to glue a protective film or a Chinese equivalent of a “gorilla” to the heap. Needless to say, such a “pie” does not have the best effect on color rendition. In addition, the multilayer display increases the thickness of the case by at least a millimeter.

    Viewing angles are good, but the screen is hopeless in the sun and glares mercilessly. It feels like you are looking deep into the system and somewhere at the bottom is the system interface. To be fair, it is worth noting that the effect is not noticeable indoors, but over time you begin to take a closer look.

    Motorola Moto X Force - firmware review

    Initially, the smartphone was delivered out of the box with pre-installed Android 5.1, but migrated to Russia with the sixth edition of the OS. Moreover, this is not bare firmware, not pathetic attempts to create something of your own and then forget to update, but a balanced operating system, slightly modified by the developers, but not without its own features. Thus, a proprietary option has been implemented that displays all the necessary information on the locked screen. The device reacts sensitively to movements and changes in lighting in order to show the current time or notification of arrival at the destination at the right time. Interestingly, this has little effect on autonomy.
    1. the reboot button, desired by owners of “pure” Android 6.0;
    2. contextual computing;
    3. additional processors that control sensors and cameras while the smartphone is sleeping;
    4. proprietary Active Display option.

    Filling Motorola Moto X Force

    The device runs under the controls of the same “brazier” represented by the Snapdragon 810, which received four ARM Cortex-A57 cores with a clock frequency of 2.0 GHz and four ARM Cortex-A53 cores, 1.5 GHz. On paper, everything is fine, but in practice, in multitasking mode, the device begins to overheat and frequencies sag. To be fair, we note that the body of the Moto X Force cannot be called hot even under overload, which is helped to a certain extent by aluminum and the thickness of the case. However, in fact, we get a Snapdragon 652 with good optimization for games; fortunately, the Adreno 430 GPU and 3 GB of LPDDR4 RAM are also present.

    The Motorola Moto X Force 64gb version may be enough for the average user if you do not need to store a lot of files. At the same time, the internal memory can be expanded up to 2 TB using microSD cards for the price of an airplane. True, this is difficult to believe. In any case, the card will take a long time to think about, but the same 256 GB are swallowed by the gadget without difficulty. If you neglect memory expansion, then in the case of, for example, Motorola Moto X Force 32gb, you will get 21 gigabytes of usable space. The rest will be taken up by the operating system and software. However, no one has canceled root rights. By the way, the device supports OTS connection, even the mouse works, which was a little surprising.

    Motorola Moto X Force test

    The model cannot be called weak, even though it does not take first place in synthetic tests, after all, it is 2017. But it can fully compete with HiSilicon Kirin 935, MediaTek MT6795 and Exynos 7420. Thus, in AnTuTu the device scores 85,652 “parrots”. Browser and graphics tests also produced average results. There were no problems with Full-HD video playback. At the same time, the smartphone heated up slightly above and to the left of the center of the body, that is, where the processor is located. The maximum temperature was 48 degrees, the minimum - 24 degrees. This is tolerable, considering the fact that under load the average gadget heats up to 35 degrees.

    In any case, you have to come to terms with the idea that you are buying a device for the “here and now,” as new SoCs enter the arena, and games are slowly but surely approaching their desktop counterparts. 2017 will pass without losses for Moto X Force, but the next one is still in doubt. Thus, there is no reserve for the future.

    Communications Motorola Moto X Force

    The smartphone is optimized for Russian networks, can operate in 2G GSM and 3G WCDMA, as well as LTE Cat6 FDD and TDD, that is, theoretically accelerates to 300 Mbit/s. There are no questions about the quality of signal reception. The device feels confident both indoors and with a weak signal somewhere in the backyard. Thus, the following frequencies are supported:
    • LTE FDD: Band 1–5–28; TDD Band 40;
    • WCDMA: 850–2100 MHz;
    • GSM: 850–1900 MHz.
    Also provided:
    • Bluetooth 4.1 with feedback;
    • NFC module;
    • two Wi-Fi bands;
    • similar number of MIMO antennas.
    In addition, there is Wi-Fi Direct, and therefore the device can act as an access point. Connectors include microUSB second generation. Not the right age for the third generation. The geotag is generated by GPS with mobile correction A-GPS; GLONASS is provided for masochists. Be that as it may, with a cold start, satellites are detected quickly. In addition, there is a magnetic sensor that can be used as a compass.

    The standard dialer is different from the system one and supports quick Smart Dial search. The keyboard is also non-standard, but comfortable, there is continuous input. It’s a pity that the developer did not provide for scaling the interface.

    Cameras Motorola Moto X Force

    The smartphone is equipped with:
    1. 21-megapixel main camera Sony IMX230 with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash.
    2. 5-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash.
    As practice has shown, the software part of the cameras is poorly implemented. Even switching to the front sensor by moving your hand does not help the situation. The controls respond poorly to taps, and the interface itself is poorly designed, which is unforgivable for a flagship. In this case, it is better to focus manually, since the automatic mode is obviously lazy. In addition, exposure is combined with autofocus, which imposes considerable inconvenience.

    Photography is at the proper level, but for obvious reasons its quality does not reach modern top-end smartphones. The video camera supports 4K, there is slow mode, that is, slow motion. There is no optical stabilization as such, but when moving, the video is recorded smoothly. I'm especially pleased with the sharpness. There are those who criticize the camera, but here, as they say, it comes down to taste and color. If you tried the iPhone 7 optics, then, of course, the Moto X Force is not the best option. Be that as it may, the detail is good.

    The front camera for selfies is not the best option, except that Skype will love it and it will save traffic, but it has a flash, which is a great help in certain situations.

    Motorola Moto X Force sound

    Before the device's release, there were rumors about five speakers. Expectations were not met. The device received one music speaker and two microphones, including noise reduction. The sound is loud and clear, with a small amount of mid and low frequencies. At maximum, the sound begins to choke and the speaker wheezes. Although the manufacturer does not position its brainchild as an external audio speaker. It's enough for a ringtone, and the voice recorder picks up even distant conversations and records clearly.

    But in headphones, the picture changes radically with the help of the high-quality audio path of the Snapdragon 810 and a 10-band equalizer with presets. Thus, the solution is inferior only to devices with a separate DAC; it is enough for a music lover, but not enough for an audiophile.

    Motorola Moto X Force: battery characteristics

    The autonomy of the device is pleasing, despite the fact that it has a powerful processor and a large AMOLED screen, which are provided by a battery with a capacity of 3760 mAh. The charge easily lasts for a couple of days of work in mixed mode.
    • Video from memory card for 13 hours;
    • Games up to five hours;
    • Reading - 7 hours.
    The device supports fast charging and comes with a compact TurboPower charger, which can actually charge up to a hundred in an hour and 15 minutes. True, the charger heats up quite a bit. Nobody said it would be easy, fortunately this does not affect the performance of the adapter in any way. That is why the manufacturer did not provide a removable USB cable, so that a third-party one would not simply melt. If you manage to lose your charger, it will be difficult to find it in retail, and it costs a lot. It is recommended to use a standard charger too, so as not to destroy the battery, but the speed of replenishing the capacity will be appropriate.

    Advantages and disadvantages of Motorola Moto X Force

    Motorola fans expected the Moto X Force to become cheaper, but a miracle did not happen, but it should have happened, because interesting analogues have long been on the market that can do more and cost less. Be that as it may, the device still remains a device for fans of the brand, designed to surprise others, they say, Motorola is still great and what if the Chinese bought it. At the same time, it’s not only the price that saddens us, but also the camera, the shortcoming of which could be corrected in software, which for some reason the developers did not do.

    Pros of the device:

    • Indestructible screen.
    • Balanced iron.
    • Large memory support.
    • Thoughtful firmware.
    • Capacious battery.
    • Really fast charging.
    • 21 megapixel camera.
    Among the disadvantages we note:
    • No tempered glass.
    • Terrible Camera app.
    • Large frames around the screen.
    • Hot Snapdragon 810.
    • Price.

    Motorola Moto X Force: price and video review

    The model can really surprise you; one multilayer screen is worth it. And the device looks brutal and memorable. The place for it is on the dashboard of a jeep or next to a vertical gun, although no special protective qualities other than the screen are regulated. In other words, we have before us an unusual smartphone for those who want to stand out and least of all think about the filling, although calling it budget is hard to come by.

    The price of Motorola Moto X Force in Russia is 40,000–50,000 rubles, depending on the storage capacity. Check out the video review and crash test of the device below:

    Photo of the caller instead of standard pictures
    Published: WR, Enabled: Feb-01-2004

    Caller's photo
    For a long time I was racking my brain on how to put his photo on the caller. My core fan kept bothering me, saying that on his Siemens M55 this can be easily done without much effort (what a bastard). And then the thought came to my mind: “What if I uploaded a picture to my phone with the same name, which is in the icons that can be assigned to the caller?” I immediately went to the telephone directory menu to see what these standard icons were called, because I thought that the name of the icon should not differ from the name of the file in which it is stored. Seeing all the names in Russian, I was disappointed and thought that I would have to sit with a translator for a long time, choosing the right name for each. First of all, I tried to upload a picture called boss.gif to my phone. And oh yes!!! It worked!!! Instead of some suit and tie, my picture was proudly displayed on the screen. I started to think about choosing English file names, but it dawned on me. What am I doing? Everything is already on your phone! You just need to switch to English. Everything worked out, instead of standard icons, I uploaded photos of my friends and my girlfriend. The size of standard icons is 32*32, the maximum size of the photo that I uploaded to the phone is 65*65. I haven’t tried it again and I don’t recommend it, even less is better, since the large picture obscures the caller’s name.

    Own melody when you turn the phone on and off.

    In order for your own melody to play when you turn your phone on and off, you need to upload your own melodies into the phone with the name ~*****File034.mid ~*****File029.mid, respectively. I do not recommend uploading a melody longer than 10 seconds.

    So: how to break a password (for example, you turn on someone else’s phone, and it displays Loc"d and the standard password “123” does not work):

    Turn on the phone
    -We see Loc"d
    -press (FNC)-00**83786633-(STO)-# (entering service mode) - in the end you should see US" -press 55# - these are user parameters settings -press several times * until you see 7 blinking in turn and 000000, zeros are the system code that must be entered when changing the password “legally”
    -press * again and see 8 flashing in turn (we don’t need it) and a three-digit number - the password that we need - now you can turn off the phone, and when you turn it on, dial the same three-digit code!!!

    A general phone reset may be necessary, for example, when selling a phone:

    Turn on the phone
    - press (FNC)-00**83786633-(STO)-# (enter service mode) - in the end you should see US"
    -press 32# (you need to wait until it beeps or reboots),
    -all timers are reset, all phone books are reset, all settings are returned to their default state;
    Your operator's settings will remain unchanged (the phone resets for about a minute)...

    To launch the menu you need to quickly press the following buttons: Menu, 0, 4, 8, 2, 6, 3, *. The following message should appear on the screen: “Opcode:”. This is the service menu. We will use two commands: 32 - read, 47 - write!

    BE CAREFUL WHEN USING COMMAND 47. IF YOU ARE WRONG, YOU CAN CHANGE AN UNKNOWN PHONE SETTING, WHICH CAN LEAD TO ANY CONSEQUENCES!!!

    AND MORE! In the phone service menu, all numbers must be entered in the decimal system. And the phone shows you everything in hexadecimal notation (when using the read command).

    All that remains is to look at the example. Let's enable the phone's engineering menu.
    All information will be presented in this form:
    Opcode 47 "OK"
    Field 1 50 "OK"
    Field 2 1 "OK"
    Field 3 68 "OK"
    Field 4 1 "OK"
    Field 5 (D) 247 "OK"
    Otkat: Field 5 (D) 135
    Results
    F1:0

    Now let's see what this all means:

    After entering the engineering menu, enter 47 - the write command, click OK.
    Let's look at Field fields:
    "Field 1" is the memory cell number.
    "Field 2" is the entry number.
    "Field 3" is the byte from which to start displaying the contents of the record.
    "Field 4" is the number of bytes that need to be displayed on the phone screen, starting from the one we specified in "Field 3".
    "Field 5" is the actual value of the bit being searched for.
    Otkat is the value of the "Field 5" field that must be entered to cancel the changes.
    "Results F1:0" - you will see if everything went without problems.
    After introducing all this into the phone, we reboot it and see that a menu item has appeared in Office Tools - technology.

    We use command 32 in the same way.

    Updated (11/13/2004): How to find out the rollback value yourself.

    To do this we use command 32.
    Let's look at the example of enabling/disabling additional vibration alerts:
    Opcode "47" "OK"
    Field 1 "50" "OK"
    Field 2 "1" "OK"
    Field 3 "59" "OK"
    Field 4 "1" "OK"
    Field 5 (D) "252" "OK"
    Results
    F1:0

    You have the above text, however the rollback value is not there. What to do?
    We enter the same parameters into the phone, only with the read command:

    Opcode "32" "OK"
    Field 1 "50" "OK"
    Field 2 "1" "OK"
    Field 3 "59" "OK"
    Field 4 "1" "OK"
    After introduction we get:
    F1:0
    F2(D) : 8c

    (You may have a different value instead of 8c)

    As I already said, the phone displays all information in hexadecimal number system. We convert 8c to the decimal system: we get 140. This is the rollback value!

    Note: in Windows OS, take a regular calculator, make it an engineering calculator, set it to “Hex” - 16-digit system, type what you see on the display, press “Dec” - you get a number in the decimal system. Here are the codes for activating/disabling some menu items and more:
