Description from the manufacturer
Affordable dual-SIM “Robot” with a giant battery The Prestigio MultiPhone 3501 DUO smartphone is not only affordable, easy to use and very convenient for simple calls. It also supports simultaneous work with two SIM cards. Not only can you divide your contacts into different groups (for example, work and personal life, primary and backup numbers), but you can also take advantage of different tariff plans or mobile operators. But the main feature of the device is its 3000 mAh battery, which is outstanding for its class! With a not very powerful processor, such a battery provides record autonomy of up to a week on a single charge. The manufacturer claims specific impressive figures: 52 hours of video calls, 139 hours of music listening, 8 hours of video viewing and 45 days of standby time!
The large 5" screen is convenient for both video and the Internet. The Prestigio 3501 DUO MultiPhone smartphone has a juicy, large display with a diagonal of 5 inches. Capacitive multi-touch technology allows it to perfectly handle up to five simultaneous touches, allowing you to play with all your “fives”. A resolution of 480 by 854 pixels is not the ultimate dream, but it is enough for even fonts and smooth icons. On a large screen it is not only convenient to watch websites, but also any other image, for example, videos. All elements of the picture are large, the eyes hardly strain. The display is equipped with light, position and proximity sensors. A 5 megapixel camera with autofocus, flash and face recognition and geotagging systems can easily replace a camera when the latter is not at hand. The manufacturer “reported” Navitel and the office suite to Android 4.2. In the latest version of the Android 4.2 OS, which runs the Prestigio PAP3501DUO (model code name), the number of changes is in the hundreds. But there is the main thing: Project Butter technology made it possible to implement completely smooth scrolling of desktops, of which the gadget has 5 pieces. Even on our hero’s not-so-powerful platform, you won’t notice a single “slowdown” during this process. In addition, new interesting services have been added, such as the Google Now assistant. The amount of software preinstalled at the factory is also pleasing. Right out of the box you will find Navitel navigation and the OfficeSuite office suite, as well as a file manager, e-book reader, multimedia player and several entertaining games.
The Prestigio brand is quite well known in our market. Being engaged in production from accessories to DVRs, it also has a pretty strong hold on the mobile market. It is quite difficult to win your share, so the main task is to produce a variety of models in different price segments and purposes. We've seen a lot of long-lived smartphones lately. The charging problem worries many users, and if in the realities of megacities it is quite difficult to imagine a situation where charging a smartphone would be a problem, then for an outdoor recreation, I personally want to take something simple and cheap, but capable of providing access to the Internet and standard smartphones. functions. Prestigio's simplest model among the "chubby" smartphones is the MultiPhone 3501 DUO. The device combines a large screen, a good battery and an undemanding processor.

Video review
Design and equipment
The smartphone is placed in a brightly colored box. The equipment is standard for most models on the market: microUSB cable, power supply, instructions, warranty card. However, some kind of case or case was expected from this brand, but, alas, it was not found. Still, I would like to see a brand in our open spaces that puts such things in the kit of all models without exception. Still, “prestige” should be manifested in everything.
The smartphone itself is designed simply. Nobody would even think of expecting designer tricks from the budget segment. However, the device cannot be called terrible. Quite familiar smooth shapes fit harmoniously into the rather large dimensions of the device. The front surface, with the exception of a slightly protruding edging, is covered with protective plastic. The material performed well, at least after testing it was not covered with a million scratches. The system control buttons are touch sensitive: menu, home and back. As usual, the menu button is stylized for multitasking, which is caused by holding down on it. In the locked state, the buttons have a visual design, and during operation they are indicated by a not entirely uniform backlight. The microphone is hidden in the far right corner, so you have to carefully monitor whether it is clogged, so as not to become “mute” to your interlocutor at a certain moment. At the top there is an elongated earpiece, as well as a 0.3 megapixel front camera.
On the back you can see a rather provocative embossed company logo. At the bottom there is a slot for perforating the main speaker. It stands out from the crowd with its shiny mother-of-pearl base. At the top, the 5 MP main camera protrudes slightly, and just below you can see a dual LED flash. On the right side there is a plastic power/lock button. It protrudes slightly above the body and has a clear stroke for pressing. The element is located at the top, which makes it slightly awkward to use. On the left side, in the same place, there is a similar volume rocker. All remaining elements fit on the top end: a microUSB socket and an audio jack.
The cover of the smartphone is removable and opens quite easily due to a special slot in the lower corner. It is quite durable and has many fastenings on the inside for clear fixation. Inside, everything is as expected; most of it is occupied by a compartment for a large battery. It also closes all outputs for “hot” removal of memory cards and SIM cards.
The dimensions of the Prestigio MultiPhone 3501 DUO are quite large for the 5” format. And the point here is not only the expectedly large thickness, which is 9.9 mm, but also quite decent side frames. The width of 76 mm and length of 150 mm do not allow you to comfortably operate the device with one hand. What can I say, these sizes are very close to the flagship 5.5” models! However, again, it is worth understanding that budget models are always larger than their expensive counterparts. Overall, the device feels good in the hand, which is helped by the soft-touch plastic on the back cover. In addition, the coating tactilely reduces the weight of the device, because 190 g is a lot, since summer has already come to an end and the problem of wearing shorts without suspenders will not arise soon. The material turned out to be practical; stains are barely visible on it, and scratches are not so noticeable, although dust is attracted very well. However, gloss still made its way into this model - the upper side frame is made of black shiny plastic, which even adds a certain elegance to the model. Overall the device looks good. As you can see, we had a blue option, but you can also buy completely white.
The screen in the Prestigio MultiPhone 3501 DUO is made using TFT technology and has a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. Of course, the figure is very low, but the matrix itself is quite good. As a result, the final pixelation is not so noticeable, although the eyes, of course, cannot be fooled, and the fonts look too jagged. The display has an air gap, and due to the low brightness, it fades greatly in the sun. The displayed colors are slightly dull, although the overall picture is not bad. At angles the image fades, but is not subject to inversion. The backlight is well done; there are no overexposed areas during everyday use. The sensor is simple, it only accepts two simultaneous clicks, but we had no problems processing them.
The main speaker in the Prestigio MultiPhone 3501 DUO has a good volume reserve. Being in another room, I couldn’t miss the call, and it works great as an alarm clock. Of course, the same cannot be said about quality. Quite flat sound with clearly stunted bass. But here we did not expect any other result. With headphones, there's also no point in searching for every favorite note in your playlist. The quality of the audio path is average, the bass is not very active, and the highs are not so distinct. The volume is barely enough for traveling on the subway or other noisy places.
Software
Prestigio MultiPhone 3501 DUO runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. Externally, the system has not undergone major changes; the black and blue interface theme has been retained. When working with SIM cards, the interface is drawn based on the connected cards. So, if one of them is missing, the icon assigned to it is not visible in the top line of notifications, and the second button is not displayed in the dialer. On the lock screen, the camera can be accessed either by swiping left or through the ring. Internal settings remain unchanged. The status curtain is separated from the toggle switch window; the latter has not undergone any changes.
A small set of applications is pre-installed on the smartphone. There is a typical flashlight, a file manager, a clock application with a rather controversial design, including several types of display and the presence of an alarm function. The smartphone is equipped with all kinds of services. First of all, this is a proprietary application store MultiStore. Next comes the eReader Prestigio book reader with access to the online library. There is also OfficeSuite, an application for working with office tasks: text, tables, presentations. Well, one toy: Danger Dash, a regular runner with primitive graphics that this device runs smoothly.
In terms of mobile communications, there were no particular complaints - the signal quality was at an acceptable level. It’s a little disappointing that not both slots work with third-generation networks for quick and convenient switching. The Wi-Fi antenna also did not present any pleasant or not so pleasant surprises. GPS performed well, providing an acceptable level of location fixation.
Camera
The Prestigio MultiPhone 3501 DUO has a 5-megapixel camera module with optics, according to EXIF, with f/2.0 aperture. The quality of photographs is at a level appropriate for the price segment. The picture cannot boast of good detail; the work of noise reduction and compression is visible. The colors are drawn slightly faded, often turning blue. The exposure as a whole is chosen correctly, but overexposure is not excluded. When the lighting falls, the quality of the pictures decreases greatly and the flash does not save the situation. The video is recorded in a maximum resolution of 720p, the quality is low, there are clearly not enough details, although the bitrate is high - 12 Mbit/s. The front camera has a resolution of 0.3 megapixels and is only suitable for Skype conversations. The interface is typical for solutions based on MediaTek and their standard platform. There are basic settings for choosing resolution, quality, as well as additional items separately for photos and videos, such as exposure, type of lighting, stabilization, and so on.
Benchmarks and Performance
The smartphone is built on the MediaTek MT6572 processor, a dual-core solution created using a 28 nm process technology. The graphics core is a single-core Mali-400. The device has 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of storage, of which about 1.3 GB is available at launch for multimedia. So, to install games with a large weight, an SD card is required (data transfer is available). In the settings, you can set the initial priority for installing applications in a particular storage. The characteristics are perhaps one of the most minimal. This affects the overall speed of operation: the interface scrolls not so smoothly, but there are not so many hard freezes during normal use. Thanks to the GPU, you can even try to play modern games, but firstly, you will have to put up with minimal graphics, and secondly, frequent drops in fps below 25 fps. It is worth noting that this filling is primarily noted for its good battery economy, which is what we should focus on.
The installed 3000 mAh in the Prestigio MultiPhone 3501 DUO lasts for a long time, although a battery with a much larger capacity could be inserted into such dimensions. An example is the all THL 4400 (review), which even in smaller sizes holds, you may not believe me, all 4400 mAh. Due to the energy-efficient processor, in quiet mode the device manages to last a week, or even more, without problems. When setting the average brightness, which gives the optimal picture indoors, we have the following operating time indicators: 10 hours of video on YouTube, 12.5 hours of watching videos through the player and about 8 hours of playing GTA San Andreas with minimal graphics. The indicators are good, but you will definitely get tired of playing for 8 hours in a row. In general, the autonomy immediately makes the device a kind of travel solution when you need a smartphone, autonomy and there is a fear of breaking it or simply losing it.
Conclusions
As a result, we have a very good solution as a travel long-liver. It will not please you with its characteristics, but it will serve for a long time, when others will already be asking for an outlet and as soon as possible. The price tag for Prestigio MultiPhone 3501 DUO remains at around 5,000 rubles. It seems inexpensive, but there are many competitors in this price range, with no less interesting specifications. So a slight reduction in cost would be welcome. In general, our guest today is quite suitable as a spare smartphone, capable of working all week without stopping.

What I didn't like
GPS starts up every time for 10 minutes (the screen must be on), the headphone jack does not support the 4th contact (you can’t connect a headset), switching between applications is slow, the Internet often does not reconnect when you return to the city from the region
What I liked
screen, battery lasts for 2 days (with maps and music)
What I didn't like
There is no cover included, but it’s quite difficult to find
What I liked
Beautiful stylish monitor with bright colors and does not run out of charge for a long time.
What I didn't like
monitor burnout, low-end wheezing when listening to music
What I liked
cheap, efficient, strongly built, attractive in appearance, energetic
What I didn't like
The body creaks.
“Floating” speaker volume (either quieter or louder, depending on the songs).
There is no 3G on the second SIM card.
The screen only responds to 2 presses at a time. For comparison, a cheap Chinese tablet for less than 3,000 rubles responds to 5 clicks.
The video is slow. It is likely that the firmware was installed clumsily in the service, I’ll do some magic later and if something changes for the better, I’ll delete it as a minus.
You cannot change the memory card on the fly. You need to remove the battery...
What I liked
Good battery. Bright screen, very high quality color reproduction. GPS works great. Flashlight! :D
What I didn't like
Android is not the latest, weak camera, not all games work
What I liked
Good strong build without any gaps, 2 SIM cards, quite fast for its price, good capacity battery
What I didn't like
average power and camera
What I liked
price, design, battery, screen
What I didn't like
Difficult to buy, literally found it in 1 store and had no choice in body color
What I liked
Super battery, 2 SIM cards, large screen, good color reproduction and sound
What I didn't like
No, everyone is happy with it, very nice model.
What I liked
The screen is not the smallest (5 inches) - it is convenient, stylish, and works quickly.
What I didn't like
After 2 months of use, the ON/OFF button began to freeze.
What I liked
The battery is great! This is mainly why I chose this particular product over others. Good camera, big screen, fast internet.
What I didn't like
I didn’t find any significant shortcomings
What I liked
Price, battery capacity, wide viewing angle. 5 inch screen.
What I didn't like
One could write about the performance and the screen, but does everyone remember that this is not an HTC One and the price is slightly different? So no shortcomings have been identified so far.
What I liked
Battery capacity. The assembly is quite high quality. 2 SIM cards
What I didn't like
You can find fault with the screen tearing out in the sun, but considering the cost, these are trifles
What I liked
Sturdy case, excellent battery, fast, good connection, sensitive touch, good appearance, 2 SIM cards, price
What I didn't like
1) If you watch movies on this phone in a horizontal position of the phone, that is, on the entire screen, consider that you are already in line to see an ophthalmologist, since due to the extremely low horizontal viewing angles, one eye sees a more shaded picture with color distortion, and the second is lighter with a normal color, which is fraught with consequences for vision. 2) The camera records video in 720p mode at 15 frames per second, that is, 15fps like in the 1930s in cinemas, comrades, this is too much 3) In poor lighting, there is very noticeable noise in the camera in the form of white flickering stripes. 4) The smartphone is extremely heavy, if you simply drop it on the asphalt, which is what many smartphones are designed for, it will definitely break. when I put it in my jeans it hangs down and dangles, even my jeans fall off, I have dreamed of such “mobility” all my life. 5) The lower part of the lid does not fit well to the body, which is fraught with inevitable moisture inside 6) The Cypriots failed.
What I liked
The battery is quite tolerable
