• Attached theme bluetooth headphones for phone. The best Bluetooth headsets for your phone. Instructions on how to connect bluetooth headphones to your phone in an advanced way

    The A2DP profile allows you to transmit a high-quality stereo signal to a Bluetooth headset. This profile is necessary for listening to music tracks, both from the memory of a mobile device and via the Internet.

    Multipoint

    A very useful feature, the presence of which we recommend paying special attention to. Multipoin will allow you to connect the headset to two devices at the same time, that is, the headset is in standby mode between the two devices, as soon as a call is received on one of the devices, the headset automatically switches to that device. When the call ends, the headset automatically returns to standby mode between the two devices.

    If you have two phones, a phone and a tablet, or a phone and a laptop, and at the same time you talk via voice telephony on both devices, then, of course, give preference to a headset that supports the Multipoint function.

    Range

    This Bluetooth headset parameter indicates at what distance from the “base” the Bluetooth device can operate, while still providing a reliable and high-quality signal. As a rule, manufacturers indicate the range of a Bluetooth headset signal at 10m, but in practice this parameter is quite abstract. The parameter of 10m specified by the manufacturer is abstract, since it is taken into account under ideal conditions: the absence of obstacles between the “base” and the headset, the absence of interference, etc. In reality, this parameter is about 3-5 meters, due to the fact that there are often various obstacles and interference between the “base” and the headset.

    Battery life

    The last number dialed function allows you to call the last person you called by pressing one key on the headset. Thus, this is another advantage that allows you not to take your smartphone out of your pocket.

    Mute the microphone

    This feature allows you to mute your microphone during a voice call so that the person you're talking to can't hear what you're saying.

    Noise reduction

    Noise reduction technology allows for better voice transmission, trying to eliminate background noise, due to the fact that the microphone in the device is quite sensitive.

    Status indicator

    The presence of an LED indicator will allow you to monitor the operating mode of the headset: connection with the “base” and loss of signal, battery charge level, etc.

    Display

    Some Bluetooth headset models have a display. The display displays the caller's number or name, service symbols, signal reception level, battery charge level, etc.

    Hook Mount

    The earhook design ensures a more secure fit of the headset to your ear; with it you will not be afraid to make sudden movements of your head.

    3.5mm headphone jack

    For stereo headsets, manufacturers make a 3.5 mm jack in the headset itself, which allows you to connect regular headphones, while the headset becomes a buffer device.

    When choosing a Bluetooth headset for your smartphone, be sure to check it by synchronizing it with your phone. It happens that sometimes both devices can be working properly, but for some reason, during interaction, they will experience errors. Therefore, check how quickly the devices synchronize and the signal quality. Make a call and test the call quality.

    Also check the quality of the headset itself. All parts must be firmly connected to each other, and the buttons must not wobble.

    How to choose a headset for your phone

    It is best to choose a headset for your phone from the same company as the phone itself, since the interaction between devices from the same company will be very good. Therefore, for smartphones and phones from Samsung, of course, it is best to give preference to a headset from this particular company.

    How to choose a headset for your computer

    For a computer, it is best to select a headset, first of all, based on the brand of your phone, since almost all laptops are not particularly demanding on Bluetooth headsets.

    They were a must-have accessory for busy businessmen, for whom the convenience of talking without having to take the phone out of their pocket is very important. But today wireless headsets are used everywhere - largely due to the significant reduction in cost, ease of use and a huge number of different models that are produced by hundreds of manufacturers.

    A good headset should be reliable and fit comfortably in your ears. But if you, for example, like to listen to music, then you need to approach the choice from one side, and if you just need to quickly receive voice calls, then the selection criteria will be slightly different.

    Below we will look at the most important characteristics of Bluetooth headsets, and then we will bring to your attention a dozen excellent models that are presented for sale in our catalog.

    Key Features You Should Pay Attention to

    Traditional Bluetooth headsets, which are attached to one ear, have only one audio channel - mono. Such models are designed specifically for those who need to be constantly in touch due to their professional activities. They are very compact and weigh little (often only about 10 g), but you won’t be able to listen to music on such headsets in acceptable quality, simply because there is only one earphone. The controls for such headsets are located directly on the body.

    Stereo headsets are suitable for almost everyone - they offer high-quality two-channel sound, and usually handle calls just as well. The microphone and controls can be located either on the body or on the wires - it all depends on the design. For obvious reasons, these models are usually heavier and not nearly as compact as traditional ones.

    Bluetooth version

    When choosing a Bluetooth headset, you should not consider models that support protocol versions older than 3.0. Bluetooth version 3.0 and higher is enough for both high-quality music transmission (as far as the protocol itself allows) and for conversations without any serious distortion. As a rule, newer versions of Bluetooth imply more economical battery consumption, but in this regard it is better to rely on reviews and tests of specific models - operating time depends more on the battery capacity and the internal logic of the headset.

    Not long ago, the Bluetooth 5.0 standard was finalized, which provides even greater efficiency, but headsets supporting it have not yet been released.

    Range

    In 99% of cases, you will use the headset when the phone is either in your pocket or on the table. But if you are going, for example, to constantly move within the office, and the phone will be at your workplace, then range will be an important parameter.

    Almost always, manufacturers indicate the maximum range, which in real conditions is greatly reduced (up to 50%) due to walls, doors and other obstacles - this must be taken into account when choosing.

    Headphone type

    Based on the type of design, headsets are divided into plug-in (“plugs”) and overhead.

    The first ones are more compact and comfortable to use. Once upon a time, their sound was considered much inferior to the sound of on-ear models, but in recent years, the development of technology has made it possible to bring its quality closer to the quality of “full-size” headphones. In this regard, everything greatly depends on the specific headset.

    Over-ear headsets offer high-quality sound - they completely cover your ears and better protect them from the outside world. Additionally, they often have larger batteries. At the same time, they are more bulky and heavy.

    3.5mm headphone jack

    Some models (mostly overhead ones) have a 3.5 mm audio output so that they can be used as wired ones in case of battery depletion. In addition, there are models without headphones included, which are a small plastic case with an audio output.

    The presence of NFC technology support allows you to quickly connect the headset to your phone - to do this, you just need to bring it close to it, after which pairing will happen automatically. A very useful feature for those who always lack time.

    A2DP, AVRCP

    A2DP profile support allows the headset to receive a higher quality signal. For conversations this is not so important, but for listening to music it is almost necessary. At the same time, even the sound quality of A2DP is inferior to the sound quality of conventional wired headphones due to the peculiarities of the Bluetooth protocol.

    The AVRCP profile allows you to remotely control media devices - for example, TVs or Bluetooth-enabled music systems.

    Battery

    Most often, Bluetooth headsets use standard lithium-ion batteries for the mobile device industry. They are quite capacious and provide long talk time - up to ten hours (in some cases - even more).

    Lithium polymer batteries are used less frequently - they are more expensive, but weigh a little less. In addition, they do not withstand shock well.

    Additional features

    If you use several smartphones at once, then the headset must support Multipoint technology, which will allow it to switch between devices without problems.

    The most demanding music lovers can select a headset based on support for the Apt-X codec, which makes the sound of music almost indistinguishable from the sound of MP3. Music lovers may also like the separate DSP chip, which processes the signal, reducing noise and increasing volume.

    It is worth paying attention to the number of microphones in the headset. If there are two or more of them, then additional ones are usually used to ensure the operation of the noise reduction system - this makes sound insulation good even in “plugs”. Thanks to noise reduction, listening to music and having a conversation will be easier and more enjoyable.

    Finally, sports and healthy lifestyle lovers should pay attention to headsets with a waterproof case. Most of them are sweat and rain resistant, and some can even be used underwater.

    Nothing fetters a person in his quest for freedom and independence more than wires - they entangle us, preventing us from moving without difficulties and obstacles. The fact that this is not an allegory is perhaps best known to the owners of wired headphones and headsets. However, wired headsets have long been replaced by wireless headsets based on the Bluetooth radio data transmission protocol. They are called Bluetooth headsets.

    What is it? Bluetooth headsets are devices that connect to any device that supports the Bluetooth protocol, be it a phone, a smartphone, a player, or even a computer, and work with it as a sound output and input device, that is, in other words, headphones and a microphone.

    Advantages of Bluetooth headsets compared to their wired counterparts are obvious: since the connection is carried out using radio communication, Bluetooth headsets do not “tie” you to your phone or other device, and you can freely move away from it at a distance of up to 10 meters. In addition, this headset can be easily connected to almost any Bluetooth-enabled device, while when using wired headsets, problems may arise due to incompatibility of plugs and connectors.

    All Bluetooth headsets can be divided into two categories: mono headsets and stereo headsets. Mono headsets are Bluetooth headsets that are worn on one ear and, of course, transmit exclusively a mono signal. Mono headsets are the most common among wireless headsets, which is why they are the ones that pop up in our minds when we hear about Bluetooth headsets. Mono headsets are an ideal solution for people who need a Bluetooth headset solely for voice transmission.

    But stereo headsets Perfect for those who like to not only talk, but also listen to music. In appearance, wireless stereo headsets most closely resemble the wired headsets we are all familiar with - they also have two speakers and an earpiece between them, as well as, in some cases, a retractable microphone. Of course, stereo headsets transmit sound in stereo, making them ideal for listening to music. In addition, music lovers should be pleased with the fact that the presence of player remote control keys, which allow you to quickly pause music playback or switch tracks, is a de facto standard for Bluetooth stereo headsets. By the way, it is worth understanding that stereo headsets, for obvious reasons, are always more expensive than mono headsets with similar characteristics.

    Bluetooth headsets are easy to manufacture, and that is why nowadays everyone is making them. Of course, even a fairly technically knowledgeable buyer can get confused in the variety of brands and names. However, if we analyze all the manufacturers involved in the production of Bluetooth headsets, they can be grouped into three categories: industry giants, mobile phone manufacturing companies and third-tier companies.

    The first category of Bluetooth headset manufacturers

    The first category includes two companies that made a name for themselves in the creation and production of Bluetooth headsets. The first is GN Great Nordic, which produces headsets under the brand Jabra. The brand traces its history back to 1983, when there was no talk about Bluetooth, but it gained well-deserved fame among the people in 2000, when it was released The world's first Bluetooth headset - Jabra BT100. Since then, the Jabra brand has been to the Bluetooth headset market what the Nokia brand is to the mobile phone market and the Windows brand is to the operating system market. True, when buying budget models for a “big name,” the buyer will not have to overpay much: for example, one of the company’s budget models, Jabra BT2080, costs just under 1,000 rubles, which is not bad at all, given the fairly good voice quality.

    However, the main attention, of course, should be paid to more expensive models. The best Jabra mono headset, certainly is Stone2, the successor to the no less remarkable Stone model. Jabra Stone2, like just Stone, has a chic design: if you insert the headset into the docking station, which is also a stand-alone charger, then together they will look like stone polished by sea water. It is worth noting that, despite the extravagant appearance, the Stone2 sits quite comfortably and firmly in the ear. As befits a high-end Bluetooth headset, the Stone2 features voice-activated menus and advanced noise cancellation. Perhaps the only disadvantage of this headset is its price - almost 5,000 rubles.

    Second company of the wireless headsets market, worthy of our close attention is the company Aliph, which produces headsets under the brand Jawbone. If Jabra attracts its customers mainly with the sophisticated design of its models, then Jawbone “takes the cake” with the number of technologies used and built-in functions. The company's most advanced devices can be considered the Icon series Bluetooth headsets.

    What technologies are used in representatives of this series? Firstly, this is, of course, the proprietary NoiseAssasin noise reduction system, which picks up vibrations in the temporal bone of the skull during a conversation. Using NoiseAssasin allows you to get rid of almost all extraneous noise without distorting your voice, as competitors' products that use similar technology do. Secondly, it is a voice menu system with support for MyTALK technology, which allows you to install various voice applications into the headset memory. And, of course, the Jawbone Icon series products also contain other interesting technologies, from the Sensor Signal Fusion active wind noise suppression system to headset charging indication on the iPhone smartphone screen. The average price for Jawbone Icon headsets is, as in the case of Stone2, 5,000 rubles.

    The second category of Bluetooth headset manufacturers

    Let's move on to second category of Bluetooth headset manufacturers. Almost every mobile phone manufacturer, from Nokia and Motorola to Apple, has in its assortment one or more Bluetooth headsets designed to work with phones of their own production. Note that Bluetooth headsets from one company in most cases work perfectly with phones from another, as well as with computers, players and other Bluetooth devices. However, it is better to use a headset with a phone of the same brand, since this, firstly, guarantees full compatibility between the phone and the headset, and, secondly, ensures the unity of the corporate style, which is also important. Let's say that Samsung addressed the HM3100 headset it released to all owners of phones of the most popular Samsung Star series, making it in the same style as the phones of the “star” line. The headset itself is a pretty good product, but its price, about 1,700 rubles, is somewhat overpriced. Thus, a headset with similar characteristics from Nokia, BT-750, can easily be purchased for 750 rubles.

    The third category of Bluetooth headset manufacturers

    Finally, there are a number of companies manufacturing wireless headsets, whose representatives are not particularly well-known companies, like Texet, Ritmix, Defender and others. Bluetooth headsets produced under their brands have a low price and do not please the buyer with an abundance of additional functions; however, in the budget segment they are almost always ideal devices in terms of price-quality ratio. Thus, the Defender HN-B601 stereo headset not only has a fairly high-quality body and an average price of 1,100 rubles, but also boasts a good-quality carrying case.

    Bottom line

    So, a Bluetooth headset is a must-have item, so if you don’t already have a wireless headset, you should get one immediately. There is no shortage of wireless headsets, so you can always find what best suits your ears, your wallet and, of course, you personally.

    The best Bluetooth headset for a phone - has high-quality speaker and microphone sound, battery life from 5 to 10 hours, comfort, lightness up to 10 grams, noise reduction/isolation, convenient controls and attractive appearance. Jabra BT2035, Plantronics M75

    Rating of the 10 best bluetooth headsets for phones for 2016-2017

    The two most popular manufacturers of wireless Bluetooth headsets for phones are Jabra and Plantronics. They are the ones who produce Top models, with a minimum number of disadvantages. Plantronics and Jabra have many similar characteristics. They produce more budget and universal ones, for talking on the street, while driving, etc.; A - slightly more expensive models, with greater autonomy (well suited for offices). But for the most part, many models are almost identical in quality (in total). All that remains is to select the necessary functional features, design, etc.

    Eternal competition between Jabra and Plantronics:

    Which headset is best for your phone?

    Any of the Bluetooth headsets presented below will be suitable for your phone. , it is better to choose a Samsung headset, since some additional functions will be available only on this smartphone. If you need universal options, then these are again Jabra, Plantronics, etc. Jabra, for new models, releases convenient applications for controlling headsets via a smartphone.

    After Jabra and Plantronics come:

    • Samsung;
    • Xiaomi;
    • Sony;
    • Nokia;
    • Remax;

    Bluetooth headset for iPhone smartphones:

    Wireless Bluetooth headset for iPhone

    These are in-ear headphones

    Apple doesn't make Bluetooth mono headsets, but only that. There are, of course, other models, but they are, to put it mildly, unsuccessful and we will not touch on them. Airpods are perfect as a wireless Bluetooth headset for iPhone. This is an improved version of Earpods, and also wireless. The functionality is very convenient and the sound quality is excellent. Airpods can be used both as a mono headset (there is a separate mode for the 1st earphone) and a stereo headset for music. The headphones made a lot of noise, but still lived up to expectations. The only negative is the price of $220. 😐

    In my personal opinion, despite all the innovative features, the headphones are not worth the money.

    Mini wireless Bluetooth headset - for phone:

    Mini Bluetooth headset

    A wireless mini Bluetooth headset for a phone is the same micro-earphone or just a miniature headset. The smallest and highest quality mono headsets are produced by Jabra. Below are several models that are miniature in design.

    If you are looking for an almost invisible headset for a special operation 😀, but you need a micro earphone. Unfortunately, it does not have a voice transmission function, but the reception works fine. Here's the whole one.

    Stereo Bluetooth headset (headphones) - for music:

    Jabra BT2035 wireless headset - lightweight and compact

    • Sound. The headset reproduces and transmits sound in very good quality.
    • Comfortable fit. Weight only 8 grams!
    • Enough favorable price for such a device.
    • Functional. There is a volume button! There is support for: Multipoint, auto volume adjustment, DSP, last number repeat. There is a noise canceler in the microphone.

    Cons:

    • This headset does not boast a particularly capacious battery. 192 hours of standby time, up from 200 hours on the previous small model.
    • The call button is too sensitive, which is often accidentally pressed in your pocket or with your headdress (the last number is dialed).

    In the second half of 2016, Apple introduced a new generation of iPhone without a separate headphone port, after which smartphone manufacturers around the world followed the example of the Apple corporation and released their devices without a minijack. As practice has shown, users can easily do without a 3.5 mm jack - in 2017 there is a huge range of Bluetooth headphones. But what should those who value their wired headsets or simply don’t want to overpay for a wireless module in standard headphones do? Buy a compact Bluetooth receiver. The best inexpensive wireless receivers will be discussed in this article.

    How to choose a Bluetooth receiver

    When choosing a device, you need to pay attention not only to the obvious things (price, quality of the case and battery capacity), but also to the wireless communication module - be that as it may, it is the main component of the Bluetooth receiver. When purchasing a gadget, you should choose the following characteristics correctly:

    1.Bluetooth version
    When choosing a wireless version, the rule is very simple: the newer the Bluetooth technology, the better (Bluetooth 4.1 is better than Bluetooth 3.0). This is due to the fact that in each new version of wireless communication, developers improve certain components (connection distance, data transfer speed, power consumption). It is highly recommended not to buy a device with a Bluetooth version lower than 3.0 (also referred to as 2.1 + EDR). You should also pay attention to the version of the Bluetooth device from which music is transmitted to the headphones:

    When transferring data via Bluetooth between multiple devices, the lowest Bluetooth version is always used among all gadgets.
    If the receiver is equipped with a Bluetooth module version 4.1, and Bluetooth 2.0 is installed in the smartphone, data will be transferred via a worse communication channel.

    2. Bluetooth codec
    At the moment, there are three codecs for the A2DP data transfer protocol (used in all Bluetooth receivers): Subband Coding (SBC), Advanced Audio Coding (AAC) and AptX. The first is the worst due to the high compression ratio of the transmitted media file, which in turn degrades the sound quality. The best is AptX, which allows you to stream music at high bitrates.

    Best Bluetooth Receivers

    We've selected the best Bluetooth receivers from $4 to $30, each of which can be purchased on the AliExpress marketplace or anywhere else. Moreover, we have indicated only the best options from the most popular models - guided by the rules described above, you can independently choose any other device.

    Will a Bluetooth receiver replace full-fledged wireless headphones?

    If you need to use a Bluetooth receiver for sports training or to interact with a radio, then even the cheapest devices discussed in today’s article will do. The only exception may be for music lovers who are too picky about minor sound distortions.

    If you want to use a combination of wired headphones with a Bluetooth receiver to listen to music in a calm atmosphere, then you should pay attention only to expensive models of gadgets - be that as it may, not everyone will be able to enjoy music with distortions (albeit small ones).

    Wireless headset is now widely used by many people. There are a huge number of modern gadgets that can be used wirelessly to your mobile device. How you can connect a Bluetooth headset to a mobile phone will be discussed now.

    Characteristics of wireless headsets

    The advantages of such devices are simply undeniable. They have a visually attractive design and are compatible with various models of mobile electronics. They can be easily used where a telephone is simply inaccessible: in the office, on the bus, in the car. In addition, you can choose a model that is endowed with many useful features. All devices feature a built-in battery. It is quite light in weight. A mono headset fits easily on the ear, while a stereo headset is worn by people like headphones. To receive a call, you simply need to press a special button on the device body.

    Preparing a Bluetooth headset and smartphone

    Before plunging into the world of amazing sounds and emotions, you should prepare your headphones and mobile phone for use. This can be done very easily.

    Maintaining headphone battery charge

    It's hard to get used to, but modern wireless headphones run on a battery and need constant charging, just like a mobile smartphone. Based on the configuration of the model, the headphones can operate on batteries, which sometimes need to be replaced with new ones, or on a built-in battery, which needs to be recharged. Headphones with a built-in battery should best be kept with an energy reserve of at least 40%, since with a lower value they can go into economy mode and stop pleasing their owner with the sounds of music.

    How to connect wireless headphones

    To set up your smartphone with headphones, you first need to turn on the headset. After this, you need to activate the wireless module on your mobile phone. As soon as you turn on Bluetooth, the system will automatically start searching for available devices.

    How to properly connect bluetooth headphones to your phone

    To connect a wireless Bluetooth headset to your smartphone, you must:

    • Go to settings and turn on Bluetooth;
    • Make your smartphone visible to other devices;
    • Turn on your bluetooth headset and;
    • Press and hold the main key on the headphones to search for your smartphone device (this is either the main power key or a separate key for pairing, always see the instructions for your Bluetooth headset);
    • Afterwards, the smartphone should detect the headphones;
    • Select your headphones from the list of devices and try to connect.

    On smartphones running Windows, Android and iOS, the headset connection may be slightly different. You can buy a wireless headset, like a smartphone, in cities such as Donetsk, Gorlovka, Makeevka with home delivery.

    Results

    The convenience of a Bluetooth headset over a wired one is obvious. First of all, you can get rid of the annoying tangle with long wires, and this is already a great advantage. Bluetooth devices also give us much more freedom of movement, especially for active people and for physical activity.

    It is difficult for a modern person to imagine life without a mobile phone. But there are situations when using a mobile phone is inconvenient, for example, when driving a car. In such situations, such a thing as a bluetooth headset comes to the rescue! This device allows you to free your hands thanks to the ability to connect it to various types of devices that support the Bluetooth protocol.

    Connection is possible:

    To the phone;
    - to a smartphone;
    - to the computer;
    - to the player, etc.

    A Bluetooth headset works with the listed devices as a “device” that outputs and inputs sound, in simple words – as a microphone and headphones.
    If you need to purchase such a device, you are faced with the question: “How to choose a Bluetooth headset?” Let's try to figure it out and help you answer this question.

    What should you consider when choosing a Bluetooth headset?

    All Bluetooth headsets are divided into 2 main types:

    Mono headsets (transmit a mono signal; suitable for those who need and only need voice transmission);
    - stereo headsets (transmit sound in stereo; suitable for listening to music; some models have a retractable microphone).

    Thus, when choosing a headset, you should first decide on the look.

    Earbuds (put in ears),
    - overhead (fixed with a bow);
    - in-ear (inserted into the ear).

    The next point is the operating time of Bluetooth in talk mode. Today there are models that work from 4 to 9 hours in this mode.
    In addition, there are a number of other points that you should pay attention to during the selection process.

    1. Dimensions and weight. If you use your phone a lot and for a long time, then a Bluetooth headset should be light and comfortable.
    2. Headset earpiece size. This point is especially important for those who wear glasses. Try on the device and decide if it is comfortable for you.
    3. Interface version. The choice of version depends on the data transfer speed, signal quality, etc.
    4. Charging time. Modern headsets can charge in 2 hours.
    5. Functionality. The presence of the “voice dialing” function, call hold, etc.

    Bluetooth headset: advantages and disadvantages

    The advantages are:

    Wireless technology;
    - long distance of use;
    - the ability to free your hands;
    - the ability to connect to any device that supports the Bluetooth protocol;
    - simplicity and ease of use, etc.

    Among the disadvantages are:

    1. Bluetooth headset type.

    There are two main types of Bluetooth headsets based on the number of sound channels - mono and stereo. IN mono bluetooth headsets– only one audio channel. IN stereo bluetooth headset There are two such channels.

    For normal conversations, an inexpensive mono Bluetooth headset is quite sufficient, but for listening to music it is better to use stereo, here you can focus on your needs.

    Of course, listening to music through a Bluetooth headset may not be as fun as through a full-fledged one, but the lack of wires can compensate for this.

    1. Bluetooth Specification.

    Bluetooth, as a method of transmitting information, already has some history of updates and improvements. The first version was Bluetooth 1.0, now versions 2.0 and higher are mainly used.

    The difference between the versions lies in such basic characteristics as the range and speed of information transmission, as well as the level of energy use.

    The higher the version, the better characteristics it has.

    When choosing a Bluetooth headset, you need to pay attention to its Bluetooth version and the Bluetooth version of your phone. Bluetooth versions are backward compatible, meaning a Bluetooth 3.0 headset will also work with Bluetooth 2.1.

    1. Headset weight

    A Bluetooth headset is an accessory that needs to be worn directly on such an important organ as the head or, to be more precise, on the ear.

    It is clear that the weight of the device matters in terms of ergonomics and convenience. Here you need to know this pattern - the less the headset weighs, the less bells and whistles it has, as well as the shorter its operating time without recharging, which is determined by the size of the battery. Small Bluetooth headsets are compact, but they may not have a very convenient mount.

    So, it’s not always worth pursuing weight loss; a couple of extra grams won’t make a difference, but such a device can be more effective to use. It is better to pay attention when buying a Bluetooth headset to the convenience of its shape and fastening.

    1. Battery life.

    The battery life of a Bluetooth headset is an indicator essentially similar to the operating time of a telephone. If the battery runs out, you will not be able to use the headset, so the battery for a Bluetooth headset is a very important part.

    The best Bluetooth headset is the one with the longest battery life.

    On average, the headset can work without recharging for 5-7 hours in talk mode and 5-7 days in standby mode.

    1. Additional features.

    Main additional functions of Bluetooth headsets the following can be considered:

    • Multipoint. The Multipoint function allows you to connect one headset to two phones, which can be very useful for people who use more than one device.
    • Voice control. This control allows you to use the headset using voice commands rather than pressing buttons.
    • Replaceable panels. Changing the panels of the headset in unison with the hairstyle or headdress can be an interesting nuance in the appearance of its owner.

    Let's also take a quick look how to connect a bluetooth headset.

    First you need to turn on both the phone and the headset, the phone must have Bluetooth turned on and visible to everyone. In many cases, the Bluetooth headset will connect automatically.

    If this does not happen, you need to activate the search mode on the headset (often you need to press and hold the power button), and then enable the search for devices on the phone.

    When the phone detects the headset, you need to connect to it and enter the headset PIN code (usually 0000 or another code specified in the instructions).

    Prices and assortment can be viewed in Netov stores.

    Well, I wish you to purchase the best Bluetooth headset.

    The use of mobile phones while driving is prohibited by law. And this norm is completely justified; while talking, the driver is distracted from the road and one hand is occupied with the phone. This situation can arise not only in cars, but also anywhere else where it is necessary to keep two hands free.

    Of course, you can use the headphones that come with the phone, but problems may arise with the wires. Therefore, a more convenient option would be to use a Bluetooth headset. What is a Bluetooth headset? This name hides a headset with a microphone and headphones that uses Bluetooth to transmit information.

    Types of Bluetooth headsets

    Based on the number of sound channels, they are divided into mono and stereo devices. Accordingly, a mono Bluetooth headset comes with one sound channel, and a stereo one with two. The choice of Bluetooth headset should be made depending on the purpose - for communicating on the phone, a mono headset would be a good option, and it is better to play music through stereo. Yes, it cannot be compared with full-fledged headphones, but the advantage of the absence of wires seduces many.

    Bluetooth Features

    Bluetooth has been used as a data transfer method for several years, so it has a history of updates and improvements. The first Bluetooth had version 1.0, but now they use versions ranging from 2.0 and higher. Versions differ depending on the range and data transfer speed. In addition, an important fact is energy consumption. Naturally, the highest version will have the best characteristics. When choosing a Bluetooth headset, pay attention to what version of Bluetooth the headset has and the phone for which it will be used. Bluetooth versions are backward compatible. At the moment, it is preferable to choose a Bluetooth headset with version 2.0 or higher.

    How much does a Bluetooth headset weigh?

    The accessory in the form of a Bluetooth headset is worn on the ear, so it should not cause discomfort. Therefore, how ergonomic and comfortable it will be depends on the weight of the device. It is important to understand the pattern: with a lighter device, it will contain fewer modifications, and the battery life will be reduced due to the size of the battery. The advantage of small headsets is that they are compact, but they can be awkward to attach. Therefore, when purchasing, you should not focus solely on the weight of the device; pay attention to the convenience of the shape and fasteners.

    Autonomy of Bluetooth headsets

    The operating life of the headset storage is comparable to the battery life of phones. If the battery is low, the headset will not be able to be used, so the role of the battery is very significant. The best option for a Bluetooth headset would be one with a long battery life in autonomous mode. The average battery life of the headset is 5-7 hours.

    Auxiliary options

    • The auxiliary functions of Bluetooth headsets include the following:
    • Multipoint. The multipoint option allows you to connect headsets to multiple mobile devices. This feature is convenient for those who use several mobile phones.
    • Voice control option. Makes it easier to control the headset; instead of pressing buttons, you can use voice commands.
    • Availability of replaceable panels. The ability to change the panels of the device is convenient because you can change the design to suit your hairstyle or headdress.

    Connecting a Bluetooth headset

    The first step is to turn on your mobile device and headset. On your mobile device, turn on Bluetooth and pay attention to whether the visibility option for everyone is turned on. As a rule, the device is connected in automatic mode. If the headset is not connected, then you need to activate the search mode on it, then enable the search for devices on your mobile phone. After the phone detects the headset, you need to connect and enter the Bluetooth code of the device, which is indicated in the instructions. This assistant will help make your life easier.

    We won’t talk about how to use Bluetooth for household appliances; we are now interested in how to choose the optimal Bluetooth headset for a mobile phone. The use of such a device is supported by many of its advantages, for example, compactness and ease of use. But, in addition to ordinary users, the Bluetooth headset was especially appreciated by drivers, who are now required by traffic rules to use a hands-free device while driving, primarily a Bluetooth headset.

    So, how to choose a behind-the-ear device so that it meets such requirements as good design, wide functionality and decent technical characteristics.

    Appearance of a bluetooth headset

    When choosing a Bluetooth headset, as well as a mobile phone, an important factor is the appearance of this device. If you are primarily concerned about the stylish appearance of your behind-the-ear device, then the mobile phone market provides a fairly large selection of branded Bluetooth headsets. For example, with an unusual mount compared to others, an elegant and beautiful device that will be appreciated by women, as well as Nokia BH-803, an original shaped headset in an iron case.

    And yet, in addition to a stylish look, a Bluetooth headset should be comfortable to use (simply and easily attached behind the ear), and also have a reasonable weight (this is especially true for those who wear a Bluetooth headset almost all day). Like, for example, a headset Samsung WEP350, which weighs 7.1 g with a case thickness of 5.9 mm. Model Nokia BH-102 Weighing about 11 g, it fits comfortably and firmly on the ear and looks quite stylish at the same time.

    When choosing a headset, special attention should be paid to the earpiece. The main thing is that its shape fits comfortably to your ear, does not fall off, and the material from which it is made is durable and functional. Bluetooth headset Sony Ericsson HBH-300 It has an interesting and convenient fastening of the arm on a hinge, which does not allow the headset to fly off during sudden movements.

    Most earhooks have a flexible structure that can be easily bent to make them comfortable to wear. There is also a Bluetooth headset that is attached to the ear using a speaker, for example, a model that does not have an earhook, and the attachment is possible thanks to a soft gel insert, thanks to which the headset is fixed inside the ear.

    There are also headsets that will be more appreciated by those who like to “take music with them.” We are talking about stereo headphones, which are not only a stylish accessory in themselves, but will also be able to satisfy the audiophile needs of their owners. The listening time for music in these headphones, as well as the talk time, is limited to 11 hours.

    When choosing a Bluetooth headset based on appearance, do not forget to test different models, try them on and compare. Don’t forget about this nice feature of modern headsets: they will fit any phone manufacturer. And yet, to be sure, try the headset with the mobile phone itself.

    Of the technical characteristics of a Bluetooth headset, we are more interested in the operating time of this device, which is associated with capacity of its battery. In addition to batteries, the operating conditions of the device also play a big role in the effective operation of the device, including the distance from the Bluetooth headset to the phone; the shorter it is, the longer the battery charge is consumed.

    Bluetooth headsets have now been invented that run on solar energy, such as the Iqua Sun Bluetooth Headset, which operate up to 200 hours in standby mode. If we are talking about a battery-powered headset, then the standard operating time of this device in standby mode (with a full charge and no conversations) averages from 4 to 8 days (100 -200 hours). For example, the model has a standby time that is higher than average: up to 300 hours.

    When choosing a headset, also pay attention to charging duration her batteries. It's nice to know that the battery quickly regains its “strength”, and sometimes fast charging is absolutely necessary. It is also convenient when the Bluetooth headset can be recharged via a USB port; in this case, you will not depend on simple sockets, but will be able to connect and charge your over-the-ear headset from a laptop or desktop PC.

    In order for a conversation to take place via a Bluetooth headset, it is important that the device skillfully adjust the sound level in the speakers according to the situation. Many modern headsets have this ability, which very quickly increase the volume of the conversation sound if you are talking on a mobile phone in a noisy environment. Similar headsets include the Plantronics Discovery 925 model, equipped with noise suppression technology, which can also automatically adjust the sound in the dynamics taking into account external conditions.

    Perhaps the main characteristic of a Bluetooth headset is its range, that is, the distance from the mobile phone within which clear and stable reception is possible. Despite the fact that the manufacturers of the side dish indicate its range of action as 10 m, in reality this figure turns out to be slightly less than stated.

    Bluetooth headsets on the market today can also be divided into types such as mono and stereo headsets. The first type - for example, an inexpensive headset Motorola HS-820- makes it possible to carry out a telephone conversation, has low energy consumption, has the ability to voice dial and demonstrates high sound quality.

    Stereo headset, the aforementioned stereo headphones have an expanded list of features. Such devices include Plantronics Voyager 855, which give its owner the opportunity to talk on a mobile phone and listen to music. It’s worth asking those who have experience using a particular device about the real sound quality that such stereo headsets provide.

    The benefits of using a Bluetooth headset are obvious: it is a convenient device that, if you have to talk a lot on your mobile phone often, will free up your hands. This is exactly what is extremely important when you are also driving a car. When choosing a device, first collect as much feedback as possible about the functioning of a particular headset, and also do not neglect the opportunity to test it in a store and ask the seller about the features of its operation.

    The importance of headsets is very often underestimated. Many freelance IT specialists and technical support specialists spend countless man-hours communicating with clients and users via voice messengers and VoIP. But few people think about the important role played by the purity and high quality of the sound that their interlocutors hear. But this can subconsciously influence their attitude towards you, your company and products. And to help fellow IT specialists, we want to give a number of tips that should be followed when choosing headsets and other equipment for voice communication.

    Five "don'ts" for professional voice calls

    Let's start with basic tips on what exactly no need do when choosing equipment if your work involves frequent negotiations using voice messengers, VoIP, etc.
    • Don't rely on the headsets that come with anything. Only in rare cases can complete devices boast high quality.
    • Don't buy the cheapest models. In the end, the developer can afford a good thing.
    • Don't forget about the people around you. Nobody wants to hear your conversation partners or music due to poor soundproofing of your headset.
    • Don't buy cordless models in the lower price range.
    • Don't settle for "good enough" sound quality.
    If you are a professional, then your speech should be professional, and you should “sound” high quality to your interlocutors, not mediocre. Even if you have a new laptop and flagship smartphone, do not rely on standard equipment to communicate with clients and users. It's just that sound cards and built-in microphones do not provide the proper sound quality. If this were not so, the audio equipment market would not be as developed.

    Of course, laptop microphones are quite sensitive and convey your voice well, but at the same time, your interlocutors will hear a lot of extraneous sounds and noises made by your surroundings. There is probably no point in describing to you all the disadvantages of built-in microphones when organizing professional audio communications. As for the “smartphone-wired headset” combination, for lack of a better one, it can be used. However, most bundled headsets have a rather short cord, which is inconvenient from an ergonomic point of view, especially with frequent use.

    If you “cheat” and buy a cheap headset with a long cord, then keep in mind that the joy of saving will quickly pass, but the low quality of the product will remain with you for a long time. Don’t think that you are being asked to shell out a ton of money for a flashy device; quite decent headsets can be bought relatively inexpensively.

    What if you have already purchased excellent equipment, but your interlocutors still periodically note poor sound quality? It is probably worth carefully analyzing your surroundings from the point of view of the presence of extraneous noise, the formation of echoes, and intense air movement (winds and strong drafts).

    If you work at home, a wireless headset can be a good help. For example, you can discuss work issues while doing some housework, drinking tea/coffee in the kitchen, or looking after children and pets. True, many wireless headsets do not look very attractive, especially cheap ones. Also important is the battery life. In general, if you make several calls every day and spend hours discussing work and personal matters, then it is better to choose a wired headset. Well, or have it as a spare, in case of unexpected discharge of the wireless headset.

    So, you have a good headset and no problems with extraneous noise. Now you need to achieve decent sound quality. After all, if you regularly communicate with clients, then it is better to exclude the possibility of loss and distortion of speech; this will not benefit your image of a professional.

    Selecting a headset

    Unfortunately, there is unlikely to be one universal solution suitable for all needs. Otherwise this post would be very short. We all have different needs and habits, so when choosing the right model, answer a number of questions:
    • Will you be using the headset in one location, at home or in the office?
    • How often do you travel and work on the road?
    • Do you prefer to work outdoors, in a cafe, on the veranda?
    • How often do you receive and make calls, or use conference calls?
    • How much time per day and per week do you spend on voice communication?
    • Will you be using the headset on different hardware platforms?
    • Do you need to simultaneously communicate with your colleagues or loved ones during calls?
    • Do you need a headset with one earpiece or two?
    If you work exclusively or mostly in an office or home environment, you're unlikely to have trouble finding the right headset. You control your environment, always use the same devices, and the background noise level is probably low. It's unlikely that you'll need a noise-canceling headset or microphone.

    On the other hand, if you travel a lot and consider yourself a digital nomad, then choosing a good headset will be a little more difficult. Most likely, you need a fairly compact model that will not take up half of your backpack. For example, plug-in type (with earbuds). The headset must also be compatible with different platforms. For wired ones this is not a problem, but in the case of Bluetooth headsets it is better to check the specifications in advance.

    If you work in different places, then you should take a closer look at headsets with noise reduction and a windproof microphone. There are two options here: active noise cancellation or an external microphone with passive noise cancellation. Each solution has pros and cons. Active noise cancellation can be used in very compact headsets, but such models are noticeably more expensive. Passive noise cancellation is much cheaper and provides more consistent results, but in this case you have to put up with a microphone that sticks out.

    When choosing a headset, it is important to keep in mind how often and for how long you will be talking. If you need to receive or make calls a couple of times a week, then the ergonomics and battery capacity of wireless headsets will clearly not be the most important criteria. But during daily calls, when you spend hours discussing work issues with clients and colleagues, ergonomics and comfort of wearing and using come to the fore, and it’s better not to look at wireless models at all.

    Pay special attention to battery life if you plan to take a Bluetooth headset. It’s also a good idea to find out how simple it is to pair the headset with your phone, tablet or computer. This may be important for those who need to quickly connect a headset in order to make a call quickly.

    Finally, if you do not work alone and need to hear your colleagues during calls, then you should ask yourself an additional question: will your colleagues take part in conference calls with you, or will you communicate with the interlocutors yourself, asking for help if necessary? advice and tips to others? It may make sense to set up a separate meeting room with appropriate audio equipment. Or you will only need to limit yourself to a headset with one earphone in order to freely hear your colleagues. And those who feel uncomfortable sitting with just one earphone, or need to maintain their hairstyle, should take a closer look at headsets with bone conduction. However, they are not suitable for everyone. They are usually wireless, have a headband around the back of the head/neck and are designed for those who lead an active lifestyle.

    Ergonomics

    The issue of ergonomics needs to be approached very thoughtfully if you spend several hours a week on voice communications. We all have different head sizes and our own structural features of the skull and ears. Headbands that are too tight or speaker cups that are too small can cause your ears to hurt. Pay attention to the ease of adjusting the headphones of the headset if you choose the classic configuration. If you wear glasses, consider whether the headset will create discomfort by putting pressure on the temples.

    If size and weight are important to you, then choose a headset with in-ear headphones or “clip-on” headphones. The former are more popular due to their compactness and generally lower price. But in the vast majority of cases, such headsets have a fairly short cord, since they are designed for use with smartphones. This means that it will probably be inconvenient for you to use such a headset with a laptop or desktop computer.

    Large over-ear headphones and remote microphones often provide the greatest comfort and sound insulation, which is why gamers especially love them. Most professional headsets have this design. Therefore, decide whether you are willing to put up with the large size and weight of an on-ear headset. It is better not to choose from the most compact models with small cups. It would be better then to take a higher quality headset with in-ear headphones or a headband around the back of the head/neck.

    Many wireless headsets have excellent ergonomics because they do not tie the user to a computer or smartphone with a wire. Modern models using Bluetooth 4.0 are very compact and can be in-ear headphones of the usual size with a small microphone and remote control. As a rule, good Bluetooth headsets have longer battery life than regular wireless ones. Professional models are often equipped with a remote microphone with noise reduction function. But they also cost more.

    Well-equipped call centers use headsets with external microphones that have a noise-canceling function, are reliable, and have good ergonomics. Often these headsets can connect via USB or Bluetooth. However, the best professional models are not cheap, over $200.

    If you are a gamer and do not use voice communication too often for work matters, then you can save money and use a gaming headset. They are usually bulky, have good sound quality, but are not the best quality microphones. Among the manufacturers in this case, we can recommend Logitech, Sennheiser, Razer, SteelSeries.

    Standard smartphone headsets are popular among freelancers who move frequently. But they usually have a number of disadvantages: a short cord and a mediocre microphone. In addition, the microphone is usually located in the remote control, and if it is not equipped with a clip for attaching to clothing, then the friction of the remote control on the fabric will create unpleasant noise.

    If you decide to buy a relatively inexpensive Bluetooth headset, and especially if you travel a lot, then take care of purchasing an external universal battery for recharging, so as not to be left without a headset during an important call or shortly before it. Professional models usually work longer than consumer models, but even in this case the risk cannot be discounted. In addition, batteries degrade over time and lose capacity.

    If you periodically need your colleagues to take part in the conversation, you can purchase a Bluetooth intercom. Among them you are unlikely to find professional models, but some have quite good quality speakers and microphones. In any case, this should not be your primary means of communicating with clients.

    Clean, loud, professional

    So, let's summarize all of the above.
    • Avoid very cheap models, this is the case when it is better not to save money. You are not buying headphones for the gym, but a tool for communicating with clients. And it is in your best interests that equipment shortcomings do not affect the perception of you as a professional.
    • "Good enough" quality not good enough to communicate with clients.
    • Know your needs and wants before you start choosing a headset.
    • When choosing, proceed, first of all, from how clients will perceive you.
    • Always have a spare headset on hand. Always.
    One last thing: no matter how fancy your equipment is, nothing is more important than good old etiquette and good communication skills.

    Mobile phones have long been a part of our everyday life, so it is not surprising that more and more new accessories for these communication devices are constantly appearing. The most fashionable trend that has actively developed over the past year has been various solutions based on wireless technologies, in particular Bluetooth.

    Owners of phones with a Bluetooth adapter can exchange data with various devices, for example, with laptops and pocket computers equipped with the appropriate adapter. This solution allows you to use a mobile phone to connect a PDA or laptop to the Internet in almost any conditions. In this case, there is no need not only to connect a special cable, but also to install the phone in close proximity to the device with which data is exchanged. Unlike the infrared interface, the use of which imposes rather strict restrictions on the relative position of connected devices, Bluetooth allows you to establish a connection between devices located at a distance of up to 10 m and not necessarily within line of sight.

    If we consider the primary function of mobile phones (that is, voice communication), then one of the most valuable properties of devices equipped with Bluetooth is the ability to use wireless Bluetooth headsets, which provide maximum freedom of movement during a conversation and the ability to remotely control basic functions.

    Thanks to the relatively large range of the wireless interface, Bluetooth headsets allow you to remotely use a phone located in a desk drawer or bag. To control basic functions - in particular, picking up the handset and adjusting the volume - wireless headsets have control buttons. In addition, many models of wireless Bluetooth headsets support voice control functions, which allows you to avoid using buttons altogether.

    If we talk about the design features of modern models of wireless Bluetooth headsets, the vast majority of them are designed to be attached to the ear. However, there are other solutions - for example, the Ericsson HBH-20 is actually a transceiver to which you can connect any wired headset equipped with a minijack connector.

    When choosing a particular wireless headset model, you should pay attention to the reliability of the fastening (so that the device does not fall during sudden movements or when turning your head). Those who wear glasses should be especially careful about this, since not every design provides comfortable placement of the device along with the temples of the glasses.

    As for weight, the “less is better” approach is not always applicable to these products: in some cases, heavier headsets, due to the successful design of the case, turn out to be more comfortable to use than their lightweight counterparts. In addition, much depends on the anatomical features of the user, and a design that is convenient for one person may be of little use for another.

    The weight of the vast majority of modern Bluetooth headset models ranges from 23 to 30 g, but there are also real record holders. For example, the Bluespoon series headsets produced by the Danish company Nextlink weigh only 9.5 g and, according to their creators, provide maximum comfort even for those users who wear glasses.

    Like any other stand-alone devices, Bluetooth headsets have a limited operating life, depending on the capacity of the built-in battery and the level of power consumption of the device. Most modern models of Bluetooth headsets use compact lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of about 100-200 mAh. As a rule, manufacturers do not indicate the capacity of the built-in battery in the technical specifications, providing only information about the maximum battery life of the headset in standby and talk modes. The battery life in talk mode (when power consumption reaches its maximum) for most modern models of Bluetooth headsets is 2.5-4 hours, and in standby mode – several days.

    Recharging the built-in battery in different models of Bluetooth headsets is implemented in different ways: in one case, you need to connect a cable from a special charger, and in another, you just need to install the headset in the supplied cradle stand. For many modern Bluetooth headset models, the minimum time required to fully charge the battery is only 1 hour.

    The range of wireless Bluetooth headsets on the Russian market is still small. And in the eyes of the overwhelming majority of domestic mobile phone users, such devices are expensive and not very useful exotica. True, it is worth noting that now there is a gradual decline in the price level for Bluetooth headsets: models priced at about $100 have already appeared on sale, but just a year ago one could only dream of such a thing.

    Along with the reduction in prices for wireless Bluetooth headsets, an additional factor that can have a positive impact on the growing popularity of these devices may be an increase in the number of mobile phone models equipped with a Bluetooth adapter. Currently, there is a fairly wide range of such devices on sale. In addition, many manufacturers produce external Bluetooth adapters for models that do not have this interface. As a rule, such adapters are made in the form of compact modules that are docked to the interface connector of the phone.

    The problem of compatibility of Bluetooth headsets with telephone sets from different manufacturers and even with individual models included in the line of the same manufacturer remains very relevant. As practice shows, the same headset can work perfectly with one phone model and not work with another. The main problems that occur when working with certain devices are an unstable connection and noticeable distortion of the transmitted audio signal. The same applies to support for the voice dialing function: even if it is declared by the headset manufacturer, in most cases it is not possible to use it on all devices.

    As you can see, calling Bluetooth headsets ideal hands-free is still only a stretch. However, there is hope that over time the existing shortcomings will be eliminated, and prices will become affordable for a wide range of mobile phone owners.
