    Using the Scissors program

    1. You need to open the standard Windows Snipping utility (you can quickly do this by entering the corresponding query in the search bar of the Start menu).
    2. When the utility opens, the user will be asked to select any part of the screen and take a picture of it.
    3. The photo is ready. The utility will automatically prompt you to select a location to save the image file.

    These methods of creating a screenshot on an Acer laptop are also suitable for computers.

    On a tablet

    To take a screenshot on acep one or another tablet model from Acer, there are several methods:

    Method 1

    1. You need to press the button with the image of the Windows icon and at the same time the button that decreases the volume (if the screen is created, there will be a flash on the screen, and the characteristic click of the camera shutter will be heard from the speaker).
    2. The screen will be automatically saved in the gallery of your mobile device.

    Method 2

    1. If a keyboard is connected to the device, you need to simultaneously press the key with the Windows logo and PrtScn (looks the same as on a laptop).
    2. The screenshot will be placed automatically in the tablet gallery, in the corresponding Screenshots folder.

    On a smartphone

    To take a screenshot on an Acer smartphone (phone) in the standard way, you need to follow these steps:

    1. At the moment when you need to take a screenshot, you need to simultaneously press the Power button (which is responsible for activating and deactivating the screen) and the Volume Down button (just like on a tablet, there will be a characteristic flash and sound).
    2. The screen will be automatically saved in the device gallery, in the corresponding Screenshots folder.

    Let's sum it up

    The ability to quickly take screenshots will be useful to all owners of Acer devices in everyday life. Users of Android mobile devices can, in addition to standard methods, use special applications for screenshots, which can be found on Google.Play, for example: Screenshot Ultimate Pro, Screenshot It, Screenshot.

    Sooner or later, each of us is faced with the need to photograph information from our laptop monitor. Most often, such a picture is called a “screenshot,” although no less common names are “printscreen” or simply “screen photo.” Thanks to this functionality, it becomes possible to more easily convey a problem with the OS to a specialist or, conversely, explain to a beginner how a particular tool works. Therefore, it is desirable for every user to know how to make a print screen on a laptop.

    How to use the Prt Scr button on a laptop

    The useful function of creating a print screen is available to all PC users and most keyboards are equipped for this with a key of the same name “Prnt Scr” or “Prt Scr”, which is essentially the same thing. The “printscreen” button on a laptop is most often located at the top right.

    Using a screenshot, you can save useful information from sites where it is impossible to select text for copying.

    When you press this magic button, nothing will happen visually, since the resulting image will only be copied to the clipboard. Then it all depends on what exactly you need this function for. If you need to send a photo as a message, just place the cursor in the text line and then press the key combination “ctrl+v” or “shift+insert”. However, this does not work in all cases. Sometimes, to insert a picture, you must first remove it from the buffer in order to obtain a separate file, which is then attached to the text.

    To do this, you need to open any program for working with images, for example, Photoshop or the paint editor built into any Windows, and insert the image using the command of the same name or, again, the “ctrl+v” key combination. Here, if desired, you have the opportunity to crop out the excess from the picture, add a signature, highlight an important point with a frame, or sketch (hide) personal information that you do not intend to share. Then save, specifying the extension “jpg” or “png”.

    If you need to copy a window open on the monitor, try using the Alt+ PrtScr key combination so as not to have to worry about further cropping. The clipboard will contain only the window you need, without the rest of the screen.

    For some laptop models, the “Prt Scr” button performs several functions at once. Taking a screenshot with this option is combined with the “SysRq”, “F10” or “Ins” commands. On the one hand, this is convenient - the keyboard is more compact, on the other hand, how can you make a print screen on a laptop in this case?

    If you have just such a keyboard in front of your eyes, then in order to save the screen image you must first hold down the “Fn” key, and only then “Prt Scr”, or press them simultaneously. The file will also be copied to the clipboard.

    How to take a screenshot on a laptop if there is no “Prt Scr” button

    It happens that the required key is not on the keyboard. There are two easy ways to solve this problem:

    1. Press “windows + R”, the “Run” window will appear. Paste the command “osk” into the line and click “ok”. A virtual keyboard with the desired button will appear on the screen.
    2. Just like in the previous method, launch the “Run” window, but now use the “snippingtool” command, and then click “ok”. The “scissors” window will immediately appear and the cursor will turn into a cross. Just select the desired area of the screen and click “save”.

    Programs for taking screenshots

    There are many special programs for easily taking screenshots. Many of them are absolutely free and at the same time allow you to edit the resulting image without using additional tools.

    Lightshot

    Download from the official website: http://app.prntscr.com/ru/download.html

    Another method is to install the “Lightshot” extension in the browser so as not to clog up the laptop’s memory, but keep in mind that the ability to make a print screen will only be available when the Internet window is open.

    Dropbox

    This is a cloud storage service. After downloading, you need to register by entering your email (or log in through your Google account). It’s also easy to use - after clicking the “printscreen” button, the program will save your screenshot to cloud storage, as well as to your computer. You can exchange such pictures directly from a virtual folder.

    Thanks to having your own account, saved photos can be easily seen and sent from any device connected to the Internet. You can get the dropbox installation file here: https://www.dropbox.com/downloading (download will start automatically).

    Yandex disk

    A convenient service for creating and storing screenshots for those who have Yandex mail. It also saves the received photos to your computer and to the cloud, but at the same time makes it possible to edit them immediately. Download here: https://disk.yandex.ru/download/#pc.

    ScreenshotMaker

    A small program for creating print screens. The main distinguishing feature is the presence of the “autoscreenshot” function, by launching which the images will be automatically saved after a certain period of time.

    All of the programs listed are absolutely free, and besides, they will not take up much space on your hard drive. Another useful point is that in the internal settings you can select any hotkey that is convenient for you instead of the standard one.

    Knowing how to take a screenshot from a laptop monitor makes it easy and simple to share information with friends or save it for yourself. Which of the above methods is most convenient is up to you to decide.

    Using screenshots can be quite useful for most users and has a wide range of applications. This article discusses how to do it on a personal computer or laptop using standard Windows tools or using additional special applications.

    Taking a photo of what's happening on the monitor may be necessary to submit a bug to technical support or to demonstrate any solutions to other users. People who work with documents may want to include some images in the text (for example, when creating a tutorial like this one). Some users like to save some achievements or interesting situations in their favorite video games.

    To perform all these actions, you must be able to take a screenshot of the screen on a laptop or PC. In general, these operations are practically the same, with the exception of one point discussed below.

    Print Screen

    The most obvious way to take a screenshot on your laptop is to use the designated key on the keyboard - Print Screen (abbreviated Prt Scr). Clicking this button allows you to capture the current desktop image and copy it to the clipboard.

    This is a very important point that users often forget about - if at the moment when you take a screenshot on your laptop, there is text or cut files on your clipboard, they will be lost. Always make sure to save any necessary data that may be in the buffer.

    Once you've captured an image, you need to paste it somewhere. For these purposes, a Word text document, a field for entering messages on Skype or VKontakte, or a graphic editor may be suitable. If you want to save a screenshot taken on a laptop, the easiest way is to use the built-in Windows image editor – Paint.

    Open Paint and paste the contents of the clipboard into it using the keyboard shortcut Control + V. After that, you can save the image in a format convenient for you, such as PNG or JPG.

    Additional information on the Prt Scr key

    On some devices, the functions of this useful button are attached to another element as additional ones. In this case, users will need to use the dedicated FN key to enable alternate key capabilities. The screen on such a laptop will be taken using the combination Fn+PrtScr.

    If you work with several programs at the same time and want to take a screenshot of only one application, you can use the Alt+PrtScr keyboard shortcut. Using this combination, only the active window will be captured into the buffer, without the desktop and other elements.

    Some applications (especially games) intercept the actions of this button. Instead of copying the screenshot on their laptop to a clipboard, they create a special folder in their root directory and save it as a finished image. This is quite convenient and allows you to take whole series of pictures without minimizing the program each time.

    If the standard method seems inconvenient to you, you can always use some additional software. An excellent example of such an application is the free utility Chip2Net.

    It can be downloaded by following the link http://clip2net.com/ru/. Click on the “Free Download” button to start downloading. Follow the instructions in the Windows Install Wizard.

    After successful installation, the Chip2Net icon will appear in your system tray. When you need to take a photo of what is happening on the monitor, you need to click on this icon. You can then highlight the area on the screen you want to capture. An editor will open where the selected image will be inserted. You can correct the photo, after which it can be saved to your disk or sent to cloud storage, from where it can be shown to other users.

    There are two ways to take a screenshot of a laptop screen:

    1. Without using additional programs (using only Windows capabilities);
    2. Using special programs for taking screenshots that have advanced capabilities, for example, allowing you to capture the mouse cursor (screen with cursor).

    In this article we will look at these two methods.

    How to take a screenshot without additional software

    On the keyboard of any laptop or netbook based on IBM architecture, i.e. on all devices running Windows, there is a button with the inscriptions PrtSc And SysRq(PrtScn may be written instead of PrtSc - this does not change the essence of the matter).

    Laptop keyboard

    In this particular case, we photographed the keyboard of a powerful gaming laptop ACER Aspire V3-771G, but the key we are interested in is also found on other laptops.

    So, the inscription PrtSc is an abbreviation of the English words “Print Screen” - can be translated as “screen printing”. In order to take a screenshot (“photograph” what is displayed on the laptop screen), perform the following steps:

    Step 1. Press the PrtSc key, after which the image is saved to the clipboard. The clipboard is a special area in the computer's RAM in which data is saved when copied and transferred;

    Step 2. Now we need to save the contents of the clipboard (screenshot) in long-term memory (hard drive or flash drive). To do this, you can use the Paint graphic editor, which is available on any laptop or netbook running Windows. Launch Paint Button Start > All Programs > Accessories > Paint and press the “Insert” button (you can press the key combination CTRL + V), after which the screenshot will appear in the editor.

    Screenshot pasted into Paint from the clipboard

    Step 3. All that remains is to select the image format and save the screenshot on your laptop. Click on the save button or the CTRL + S key combination. Select a location to save the screenshot - as an example, I chose the “Yandex.Disk” folder, i.e. The screenshot will be saved not only on your home computer, but also on a server on the Internet. We also indicate the file name and file type. By default, screenshots in Paint (Windows 7) are saved in PNG format. For photographs, formats such as JPEG, BMP and TIFF are also suitable. After the necessary settings, click the “OK” button.

    Programs for taking screenshots

    In many cases, it may be necessary to take a screenshot of the cursor, for example when creating training courses. In this case, you can use special programs designed for taking and processing screenshots. One such program is ScreenHunter, a free version of the ScreenHunter Free program, which can be downloaded from this link >>

    In order for the program to capture the cursor, the “Mouse pointer” item must be checked in the settings - by default this checkbox is already checked.

    ScreenHunter allows you to capture the cursor

    Even the free version of ScreenHunter has a wide range of features:

    • Capture both the entire screen and a selected area;
    • Capture cursor;
    • Saving a screenshot simultaneously in GIF, JPEG and BMP formats - naturally, you can select only one format for saving screenshots;
    • Selecting a location to save screenshots;
    • Quick capture when pressing a configured key - default is "F6".

    That's all we planned to tell you about taking screenshots. As additional information, let’s say that if your laptop or netbook is running a Linux operating system, for example Ubuntu, then after pressing the Print Screen key you can immediately save the screenshot in the selected format. In this regard, Linux is more convenient than Windows.

    Good afternoon, friends!

    Today in this article I will talk about how to take a screenshot of the screen on a laptop.

    The article will be useful for novice website builders, because experienced webmasters have been using this method for a long time.

    Whatever you say, the World Wide Web - the Internet today is one of the most important components in our lives.

    I’m on my website, I invite visitors to familiarize themselves with information on how they can promote and make money on it. I also talk about how you can do it without having your own blog.

    All the information presented in these articles has been verified by me personally in practice. In all articles where this is especially necessary, I try to support textual information with visual information for clarity.

    Screenshot of laptop screen

    A screenshot of a laptop screen works great as visual information. The reader immediately understands what is being said, and he solves his problem faster. And this is exactly what he needs!

    As you already understood, a screenshot is a screenshot of a certain electronic device that displays various visual information of a certain content.

    The device can be a personal computer monitor, smartphone, tablet and other gadgets.

    Some experienced Internet users will say: what’s so difficult about this? Taking a screenshot of the screen on a laptop is a couple of trifles. However, for newcomers to the Internet, taking a screenshot raises a lot of questions. They don't know how to do it.

    In order not to look for examples somewhere far away, I will talk about myself. I also didn’t know how to take screenshots from the monitor screen. In order to find out how to do this, I entered into the request “take a screenshot of the screen on a laptop” and studied this information.

    If you are currently in a similar situation, you can resolve it by reading this article. In it, I will describe in detail how to take a screenshot of the screen on your laptop in two different ways.

    How to take a screenshot of a screen. Print screen button

    One of the easiest ways to take a screenshot is the Print Screen button. I have prepared a photo for you so that you can understand what it looks like on a laptop keyboard and where it is located:

    On a PC keyboard, this button is located in a different location. But most importantly, you know what it looks like, and now you can easily find it.

    Now press it briefly. Some will impatiently say that nothing has changed and it doesn't work.

    However, there is no need to rush. It’s also not worth looking for a screenshot in the download files. It's simply not there.

    Your screenshot is saved only in the memory buffer. In order to extract it from there, you need to use the Paint graphic editor, which is installed with the operating system and is available to everyone.

    It seems to me that many people know this editor. If you don’t know where it is, go to the Start menu, then Programs - Accessories - Paint:

    Then open it by clicking the left mouse button. After this, press the key combination Ctrl+V and your screenshot will be inserted into the main field of the program. Now you can edit it.

    This is how you can easily take a screenshot of your laptop screen. And most importantly, this method is suitable for everyone, because it works in any version of the Windows operating system.

    But there is another way to take screenshots, even faster than the previous one.

    Take a screenshot using the Snipping Tool

    So, taking a screenshot using scissors is a great way, but you can only use it if your laptop is running Windows 7 or 8.

    Windows XP will not work. There is simply no such tool there.

    To use scissors, go to the same folder where Paint was located. Namely, in Standard programs. Now open the scissors:

    Immediately after this, you will see your cropped photo in front of you. Now you can edit it as you wish:

    That's it. In this article, I talked about two simple ways in which you can easily take a screenshot of the screen on a laptop. See you soon in my new articles! Bye.
