Backup options

A quick tip: Pay attention to the location your smartphone indicates when saving a contact file so you can find it faster on your PC. Typically, the .vcf file is located in the System folder. Transfer contacts via SIM card

If you want to use the same SIM card in your new device as in your old one, you can also use the old method and copy the contacts to the SIM card so that you can restore them on the new device.

The advantage of this method is that you can select or deselect contacts one by one and create something similar to your phone book. The main disadvantage is that the memory space on the SIM card is limited and you will only be able to store a maximum of 200 contacts. One drawback to the above method is that complex contacts with more than just a name and phone number are separated, having multiple duplicates. This means that even with less than 200 contacts, you'll quickly reach your SIM card's memory limit. LG

If you have a new smartphone from LG, you can use one of the above methods or try LG Bridge. This software can offer everything that similar apps from other manufacturers can, although you'll need a PC or Mac. It is also recommended to use the LG Backup (Sender) app from the Play Store. Transfer SMS

You can transfer your old SMS messages to your new Android smartphone. This is possible with a free SMS backup app called SMS Backup & Restore. Let's try to figure out how to transfer data from Android to Android via a computer, using third-party applications, through search engine accounts and other methods. That is, to make this procedure as painless as possible for both the user and the smartphone.

Transfer using PC

In order to transfer data from Android to Android using a personal computer, we will need an old phone from which we need to transfer information, the PC itself, a USB cable for synchronization (you can use Wi-Fi) and the MOBILedit program (you can download from the official website of the developer).

The basic version of the program (Lite) has limited functionality, but it is quite enough for one-time copying of data from gadget to gadget. The extended, that is, paid version is intended, rather, for ardent fans to transfer something somewhere.

Copy Features

After installing the utility and then launching it, the program will offer to download all known drivers for smartphones/phones. To make the transfer of data from Android to Android faster, you can select the manufacturer of your device from the drop-down list and confirm the driver update.

SD cards

You can copy almost all of your data using external SD cards. If both mobile devices support the function of quick transfer using external media, then the procedure will be as fast and “painless” as possible for both your nerves and the devices.

Contacts

Surely everyone knows how to copy music, photos and videos using SD cards, but some problems may arise with transferring contacts, so we will consider this point in more detail.

Copy contacts using an SD drive:

• insert the memory card into the old device;
• go to the phone book and call up the pop-up menu, where there should be an “Export/Import” item;
• click on the “Export to SD card” subsection and select all the contacts that we need to copy;
• wait for the process to complete and reinstall the memory card on the new gadget;
• go to the phone book of the new device and select the same “Export/Import” item in the pop-up menu;
• in the “Import” subsection, click on the line “Load contacts from SD card”;
• We wait until the slider reaches 100% and you can remove the memory card.

As for transferring contacts specifically, you can also use a SIM card, but this is rather an extreme case, because the main disadvantage of such copying is the limitation on the number of characters in the name. The process is similar to transferring data using SD cards, where you need to select “Export to SIM” from the pop-up menu. It is also worth noting that copying is limited to 200 contacts, so in some cases a repeat procedure is required.
