• Phones that are similar to iPhone - a review of new products. Cloning iPhones: reasons and existing analogues

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, presented yesterday, are certainly excellent devices. But they are not the only ones on the market. IT.TUT.BY has selected ten smartphones that will be a worthy alternative to the iPhone.

Apple's competitors have a clear advantage: they produce more device models. On Android and Windows Phone you can find a device for at least a hundred or a thousand dollars. If for some reason the new iPhones do not satisfy you, you can always find a device that will be closer to your ideal.

Don’t forget: the iPhone has high build quality, an excellent operating system with a fast interface and many unique applications, long-term support for older devices, and excellent work in conjunction with iPad and Apple computers. In addition, the iPhone is an element of image; for representatives of some professions and subcultures, Apple technology is an element of the dress code. The NFC chip itself has long been used by competitors, but Apple promises to seriously tackle the spread of “wireless” purchases from the phone.

The hardware of the device is unlikely to be noticeably more powerful than that of its competitors’ flagships: Apple claims a 25% increase in the performance of the A8 processor compared to the A7, and the new Snapdragon 805 (according to the manufacturer) is 40% faster than last year’s 800 model. Let's remember that last year a slight advantage was on the side of the iPhone. However, today not many games use the capabilities of the iPhone 5S to the fullest, and the “brakes” in the Android interface are caused by the logic of the OS, and not by the hardware (something may change with the release of Android L).

    Samsung Galaxy Note 4

The new Samsung flagship did not receive the water-resistant case from its fellow Galaxy S5, but did not lose the advantages of the Note line. The 5.7-inch screen is slightly larger than the 5.5-inch in the iPhone 6 Plus, but has a noticeably higher resolution (1440x2560 versus 1920x1080). However, without a magnifying glass the differences are unlikely to be discernible. The main advantage of the Galaxy Note is the presence of the S Pen stylus, with which you can not only draw or take handwritten notes, but also use it instead of a keyboard. The resolution of both cameras of the device is higher than that of the iPhone 6, but there is nothing to say about the quality of the images yet - we are waiting for iPhone tests. The promised battery life is comparable: when talking on a 3G network, 21 hours for Note and 24 hours for iPhone 6 Plus (iPhone 6 has only 14), standby time is 420 hours versus 384. Samsung flagships, like the iPhone, have a fingerprint scanner fingers, but his work is organized less conveniently and quickly. The price of the Note 4 is still unknown, but at launch the Note 3 cost almost the same as the iPhone 5S - we can assume that the Note 4 will have a price comparable to the “small” iPhone 6.

    Price: Expected around $700.

    LG G3

Another smartphone with an ultra-high-resolution screen is already on sale: LG's 5.46-inch flagship. The price of G3 in Minsk at the time of publication is lower than the promised price of the “minimum” iPhone 6 at the start of sales in the USA. LG G3 boasts an excellent 13MP camera with laser focusing, unlocking by “tapping” on the screen and an unusual design: the lock and volume buttons are on the back rather than on the side. True, the battery in the G3 is slightly weaker than the Note 4. Last year, the combination of price and quality made its predecessor LG G2 the smartphone of the year, according to the editors of IT.TUT.BY.

Price: $620 at time of publication.

    Sony Xperia Z3

Sony's new flagship has a smaller screen than the iPhone 6 Plus: "only" 5.2 inches (the same resolution as the iPhone 6 Plus). But a huge advantage of the Xperia Z line is its dust and moisture resistance. Like the Galaxy S5, the Z3 can even call an aquarium. Another “killer feature” of the Z3 is support for PlayStation 4 games (if you have the console itself nearby). The 20.7 megapixel camera takes very good pictures and allows you to play with augmented reality without third-party applications. The manufacturer promises that, on average, the Z3 will live for two full days on a single charge – they talked about 1.4 days about the Z2, and the Z2 “lived” almost one and a half times longer than the iPhone 5S.

    Price: Expected around $800.

    HTC One M8

The One M8 screen can be called small: some 5 inches (the resolution is the same as a 5.5-inch Afion). The main advantage of HTC's flagship is very, very subjective: design. The device, like the iPhone, has a stylish aluminum case and an interesting HTC Sense software shell. The main disadvantage of the One line is its weak camera, which was inferior to the iPhone 5S. The One M8's rather modest (for a flagship) battery promises to last 20 hours when talking on 3G networks (versus 24 for the larger iPhone and 14 for the iPhone 6). The price of One M8 in Minsk is already lower than it will be for the iPhone 6 at the start of sales in the USA.

Price: $606 at time of publication.

    Nokia Lumia 930

Today's flagship from Nokia and Microsoft also has a 5-inch screen with the same FullHD resolution. The nice things are an excellent 20MP camera, a metal body, wireless charging, and the ability to operate the touchscreen while wearing gloves. For many, a minus, but for many also a plus, will be the Windows Phone operating system: economical, fast and easy to learn, but inferior to Android and iOS in terms of the number of applications. The 930's battery is not as powerful (only up to 18 hours of talk time on 3G networks), but Windows Phone is also less power-hungry than Android. The Minsk price tag is again lower than the upcoming American iPhone.

Price: $621 at time of publication.

    Cheaper options

Above, we looked at smartphones whose price was equal to the average salary of a Belarusian (speculators will value the first “gray” copies of the iPhone 6 at the average salary of an IT specialist). But you can also find cheaper, albeit not as flagship or famous options.

OnePlus One will soon arrive in Belarus - the debut smartphone from Chinese OPPO on the well-known Android firmware CyanogenMod. The price will most likely be below $400, while the characteristics are comparable to the LG G3 with the exception of screen resolution (FullHD, like the iPhone 6), and foreign experts have no doubt about the quality of the work of the guys from OPPO, who are not particularly well-known in Belarus.

Price: Expected to be under $400.

For the same price you can buy the joint brainchild of LG and Google - Nexus 5, the “reference” 5-inch smartphone of 2013. Despite its age, the hardware still copes with all tasks, and OS updates will continue to come for another year or two. The downsides are the not so powerful (but not weak) battery and the lack of a memory card slot (like all iPhones). In addition, “craftsmen” most often make alternative firmware specifically for the Nexus line - perhaps in a year they will port Windows XP to it.

Price: $386 at time of publication.

“Your Nexus” is also offered by Huawei for a little over 400 – the Ascend P7 has a 5-inch FullHD screen, a decent 13MP camera, and a metal body even thinner than the iPhone. True, Huawei’s own 8-core processor is not yet encouraging with beautiful numbers in performance tests - perhaps its optimization is a matter of time. And don’t forget: if you just need a stylish, thin and light metal smartphone, then the P7 will do, but if you are a designer or an actor, then without an apple on the back cover it’s not comme il faut.

Price: $409 at time of publication.

Meizu MX4 is priced at $300 in China. The 5.36-inch FullHD screen promises to be incredibly bright and contrasty, the new eight-core Mediatek processor is especially energy efficient, and the 20.7 MP camera from Sony is no worse than that of the Xperia Z3. One problem is that the MX4 itself is unlikely to come to Belarus, except for a couple of speculators.

    Price: Expected around $450.

    Don't forget the old people!

The fact that the iPhone 6 was released did not make its predecessor, the iPhone 5S, any worse. The iPhone 6 has a lot of cool features, but none of them amount to a killer feature, after which the 5S is a useless piece of iron, glass and silicon. The author had no doubt about this even before the presentation. And for many Apple fans, it will still be the best - after all, Apple has been convincing us for so long that 4 inches is the most convenient size. True, the battery life of the old man is unlikely to please you, and the price in Minsk is in no hurry to fall below the American price of the iPhone 6.

Enough time has passed since the presentation of the new iPhone, and even more so since the presentation of previous models. But the trouble is, the price is still quite high and not everyone can afford a top-end Apple smartphone, and many simply feel sorry for spending that amount of money on a mobile phone.

Then an idea came to my mind, because the mobile market is quite saturated, especially with models from Chinese manufacturers, which, however, are no worse, and in some cases even better than the famous “Apple”. It is these models that we will consider today.

    Huawei Nova

Although the smartphone is similar to the Huawei Nexus 6P, it has its own twist. This is a solid design, metal body and excellent hardware. On board is an eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor and 3 GB of RAM. There is also a 12-megapixel camera, which not only takes excellent pictures, but can also record video in 4K.

    Huawei Honor 8

Another smartphone from Huawei that could not be left out of this list. Honor 8 has a cool appearance, a large 5.2-inch display, a dual 12 MP camera and a lot of cool features. Inside its elegant body is hidden an eight-core processor of its own Kirin 950, 4 GB of RAM and 32/64 internal memory.

    Xiaomi Mi5s Plus

A top-end smartphone and the pride of the famous Xiaomi (until the new flagship comes out). The smartphone received a hefty 5.7-inch display, an incredibly powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, 4/6 GB of RAM and 64/128 GB of flash memory. In addition, it has a dual 13 MP camera, which works on the same principle as in Huawei smartphones. Of course, the color palette of Mi5s Plus includes the now fashionable “rose gold” color.

    OnePlus 3T

OnePlus is famous for its smartphones for two reasons: firstly, top-end hardware, and secondly, a pleasant price tag. This is exactly what OnePlus 3T turned out to be, it has the same powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset, 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of flash memory. In addition, there are 16 MP main and front cameras on board, and a powerful 3400 mAh battery is responsible for autonomy. And who will say after this that this is not a top-end flagship?

    Meizu Pro 6

The Meizu Pro 6 closes our list. Here you have a pressing force on the screen similar to 3D Touch and a ten-core MediaTek Helio X25 processor, and even a high-quality Cirrus Logic CS43L36 audio chip is installed. As you might guess, the model focuses on the musical basis. With Meizu Pro 6, you can record high-quality sound or enjoy clear sound of music.

Apple has repeatedly and proudly emphasized that it created the iPhone X in a short time. Why there was such a rush is not very clear, but they clearly tried to make the device unique in appearance so that it could be easily recognized in comparison with previous iPhones. I think that Apple did not think about how Chinese manufacturers could copy the design of this device and how much time it would take.

The fact is that it took a matter of weeks, and the number of different iPhone X clones is already in the dozens. The only thing these models have in common is that they all somehow use the unibrow, that same stupid and non-functional cutout around the speaker. This is of no use to the user; it does not add uniqueness to the use of the device; it only gives a deterioration in the user experience in iOS in the form of fewer indicators. But fans of the company considered this a unique and inimitable feature. For several years, Samsung has been thinking that the appearance of their devices is unique and cannot be repeated, since there are no similar curved screens. Many Chinese are trying to do this, but without success, they do not have the technology to do this. But Apple’s solution is not just copied, it is replicated without any difficulty. Therefore, if you find a Galaxy S8/S9 clone, it only looks like the original in pictures, but in real life it is flat as a board. It’s extremely difficult to find differences with the iPhone X; from afar, the models are confusingly similar. Conventionally, all clones can be divided into two large groups - exact copies of the iPhone X and devices created based on the unibrow. Let's look at a partial list of what Chinese manufacturers offer and evaluate their efforts to clone Apple's flagship.

    Leagoo S9

    • Price in China: $150
    • On sale: from April 2018

Leagoo diligently produces inexpensive Android smartphones that are similar to the iPhone and other popular models. The motto of these guys is “cheap and recognizable.” Externally, there are no complaints about the Leagoo S9; in pictures or even on a store shelf it will look good, but in real life the inexpensive materials are noticeable, just pick up the device. A fake of the original, typical of Chinese wrecks and with a pretense of quality. The fingerprint sensor is located on the back panel, perhaps this is the only difference from the original. The cameras are not the same, there is face unlock from Android, the version of Android itself is 8.1 at the time of release. Inside is a chipset from MediaTek – MT6750, 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory plus memory cards, a screen with 18.5:9 geometry, 5.85 inches and, of course, regular IPS.

You can and should buy this phone only in one case - if you are ready to get a purebred Chinese phone for little money, which is very similar to the iPhone. But exactly until the first time you give it to someone. Then the deception will be recognized, and it is possible that they will look at you with surprise. Still, using counterfeits of the original is a remarkable skill; you need to wear Adibas sneakers, a Zeggna suit and the like with dignity. With such a phone you will be recognized as a connoisseur of such brands.

    Doogee V

    • Price in China: from 300 dollars
    • On sale: from April 2018

Let's take a look at a higher-class device, namely the flagship from Doogee. The appearance is similar to the iPhone, but there is no fingerprint sensor on the back panel; it was built into the screen - something that many expected from Samsung or Apple. These companies abandoned the in-screen fingerprint sensor for one simple reason: it works through the roof, more often it doesn’t work than it works. And he's very slow. Doogee didn’t think much about it, the main thing was to shout that they had such a thing. And she is! How it works is the tenth thing. At MWC my fingerprint worked every other time, or even twice.

This shortcoming was compensated for by face unlocking, which is no different from what we see in budget Android smartphones. But Doogee did their best in terms of filling, here you have 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of internal memory, and the Helio P60 chipset from MediaTek, but the main thing is an AMOLED screen with a diagonal of 6.21 inches and QHD resolution. Does it make an impression? Probably yes. But, knowing Doogee, everything will be ruined by unoptimized software, which must be compensated for by a large amount of memory. It’s like big American cars, they have engines installed in them to compensate for the lack of well-thought-out mechanics: the slipper hits the floor, and this power presses you into your seat. And let the thrifty comrades think about how much fuel it takes, the main thing for car owners is the feeling. So it is with Doogee, the proud owner of this device will be able to ask any owner of the current flagships: “How much RAM do you have? 6 GB? Well, well. I have 8 GB, and I paid half as much as you.” And if you count from the iPhone X with its 3 GB of RAM, then it turns out to be some kind of Tsushima. Checkmate, flagship owners, feel the power of the Chinese.

    Noa N10

    • Price in China: from 300 dollars, for Europe from 300 euros
    • On sale: from April 2018

Another flagship of the Chinese smartphone industry, but here they charge more for the design than for the filling. The NOA company is known for being able to copy cases well, this is exactly the case, although in Barcelona they did not give the device in hand, they only showed it behind glass. Screen 18:9, but IPS with a diagonal of 6.2 inches, mid-level processor – MediaTek MT6763 (Helio P23), 4 GB of RAM, 128 GB of internal memory. The company splurged on a dual camera, these are Sony IMX499 sensors, that is, the latest generation with a resolution of 16 megapixels. Even the front camera is the same, albeit single, but with face unlocking.

Considering that the presence of a sensor does not at all equal the quality of photographs, I would be careful not to draw any conclusions in absentia; I don’t think that we will see any breakthrough. In terms of filling, the model is not worth its price, and the “unique” design does not save it at all. Please note that here the originality of the color of the case removes the direct resemblance to the iPhone X, which many will perceive as a drawback. In a word, it’s expensive and it’s unclear why they deviated so much from the design of the original; this is rather a minus for the device.

    Blackview A30

    • Price in China: from 50 dollars
    • On sale: third quarter of 2018

I love the Chinese, they know how to show off their product. Blackview (in fact, this is Shenzhen Doke Electronics from Hong Kong, which is also China, no matter how anyone thinks otherwise) “released” an analogue of the iPhone X at the lowest price - $50. Well, they released it... They showed it, announced it, even put it on a stand. This is an Android Go device, it has only 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal memory (memory cards are present), a 5.5-inch screen, and a MediaTek MT6580 chipset. What can I say? The company is not sure when it will be released - sometime in the third quarter. They confidently quoted a price of 40-50 dollars. But this is the Chinese approach - first scare them with a great price, then release them at a completely different price. This product can only be discussed as a hypothetical; it will not be possible to hold it in your hands, nor will it be possible to buy it in the coming months. Therefore, this clone can be safely ignored, but even if it comes out even in the fall for that kind of money, and there will be a holiday at all sorts of air sellers, they will start selling “real” iPhone X in car parks for 100-150 dollars.

    Oukitel U18/U19 (older U18 model)

    • Price in China: from 200 dollars for U18
    • On sale: for sale

I love the Chinese that they are not shy about proving that they have more. In this case, the screen diagonal is larger than the original, and this is an advantage in their worldview system. These guys, however, have a problem with their logic; the U18 model is older and has better characteristics than the U19. Logics? No, they haven't heard about it.

The screen in U18 is 5.85 inches, 19:9, HD+, 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of internal memory and MediaTek MT6750T chipset. The dual camera is quite sad - 16 and 2 megapixels. In a word, a typical example of the Chinese approach, in which the main thing is appearance. In real life, the device looks like a terrible fake of the iPhone X; the differences are too great. I cannot recommend this model.

    Ulefone T2 Pro

    • Price in China: from $380 for U18
    • On sale: summer 2018

At MWC they showed a dead prototype of this model, the body was cracked, nothing worked. A sort of demonstration of what could once be and at a fairly high price. We even have material about this device; I see no point in talking about it again, since it de facto does not exist yet. This is a kind of message of intentions, but that’s all. My attitude towards the Ulefone brand is simple and coincides with how their phones looked at the stand: dead, dead devices. And for some reason they are expensive.

    Wiko View 2 Pro

    • Price: from 300 dollars
    • On sale: end of March

This is a mid-level model, it has a Snapdragon 450, 4/64 GB of memory, a resolution of a 6-inch HD+ screen, and a 16-megapixel camera with f/1.75; it takes decent pictures for its price. This is a mid-level device that looks very good and may even be popular. This is not a complete clone of the iPhone X, but rather a model based on it, which makes the device more interesting against the background of identical clones, which are somewhat tiring.

    Asus Zenfone 5/5z

    • Price: 480 euros for the older model
    • On sale: spring 2018

The layout is similar to the iPhone X, the appearance is also similar, and at the presentation they compared it with some kind of iFruit, which for some reason they were afraid to name. Expensive devices that will not become widespread, for that kind of money it’s strange to buy Asus and not something else. However, we wrote about the devices separately, perhaps someone will like them. As for me, the similarity to the iPhone X in this price group is more of a minus than a plus.

Above you read about those devices that have at least some name and are noticeable on the market; you may come across them. There is no point in listing basement copies of the iPhone X of varying degrees of similarity; there are several dozen of them. If we take the cutout, or that same unibrow, as a point of similarity with the iPhone X, then in the near future many high-cost smartphones will be announced that have such screens. For example, this is OPPO R15 in two versions (previously called R13), LG G7 (it was rumored to be canceled and then brought back to life), OnePlus 6, Huawei P20 and many others. How similar will each of these models be to the iPhone X? This is a matter of your perception, but I think that the cutout is definitely associated with this device, although it appeared long before that. Among recent examples, we can recall the Essential smartphone, which also has a screen cutout, but no one remembers it. Although it was created before the iPhone X, and before it there were other models that are simply not very well known to the general public.

I will say a seditious thought that many will not like, perhaps it will cause negative emotions. A counterfeit of an original is always bad, especially for those who use such a counterfeit and demonstrate it to others. The list of smartphones above contains complete copies of the iPhone X in design, and I definitely would not buy such devices. For what?

But there are models that simply use similar solutions, that’s another story, although to some they will seem like clones of the iPhone X. Our people are hot-blooded and like to treat everyone with the same brush. I’m interested to know how you feel about clones or solutions similar to the iPhone X and what might personally make you buy such a device. Is there some reason for this?

The perfect design of the iPhone, created by Jony Ive, delights customers and inspires manufacturers of other smartphone brands. We want to show you smartphones on the market today that reflect and even copy the aesthetics of the iPhone.

    1. Meizu MX5

The smartphone is a thin device with a 5.5-inch screen that looks like the “sibling” of the iPhone. The design of the Chinese flagship even retains the stripes on the back panel and the traditional colors of Apple devices: black, gold, silver.

    2.Huawei P8

The smartphone borrows the glass insert and stripe from the iPhone 6 from the iPhone 5s. The colors of the device are similar to the color palette of the latest Apple flagships

    3.Lenovo S60

The smartphone in a bright plastic case is strikingly reminiscent of the iPhone 5c.

    4. Galaxy Alpha

The smartphone, recognized as the most beautiful device in the Galaxy line, came out earlier than the iPhone 6, but is surprisingly similar to the gadget from Apple. Samsung designers probably used information from leaks to create the Galaxy Alpha. However, apart from design, the Korean flagship has nothing else to compare with the apple six

    5.Lenovo S90

The smartphone surpassed all of the listed models in copying the design of the iPhone 6. Lenovo designers did a great job with information from leaks, even presenting duplicate renders of the iPhone in pink, which Apple is just planning to release. Pay attention to the Lenovo S90 wallpaper copied from the iPhone.

On September 12, Apple introduced the anniversary iPhone X with a frameless 5.8-inch screen, Face ID facial recognition system and a dual camera with optical zoom. The price starts at $1,000; for Russians, the new product will cost at least 79,990 rubles. Meanwhile, the iPhone X is not the only smartphone with this design. Lifehacker found 10 more “frameless” ones, and they are all cheaper.

    1. Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+

The South Korean flagships Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ are equipped with 5.8- and 6.2-inch screens, respectively. There are no side frames at all, and the edges are smoothly rounded. There may not be a dual camera with optical zoom, but in terms of security, smartphones are no less worthy than: they can identify the owner by the iris of the eye. There is also facial recognition, but the camera works using a two-dimensional algorithm, not taking into account depth, and therefore the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ can be unlocked with a photo.

The official price for S8+ is 54,990 and 59,990 rubles, respectively.

The popular 2017 Samsung Galaxy Note phablet also got an infinite screen, but with a diagonal of 6.3 inches. And its edges are not as steep as those of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+, because there must be room in the case for the S Pen. The camera has become double, there is a 2x optical zoom. The security features are the same as in the G8: an iris scanner and an unreliable facial recognition system.

The official price in Russia is 69,990 rubles.

    3. LG G6

Unfortunately, the flagship LG G6 was deprived of popular attention, although the phrase “got a solid screen before it became mainstream” is about it. There's a 5.7-inch Quad HD Plus FullVision display with Dolby Vision and HDR10 technologies and an 18:9 aspect ratio, but LG chose an IPS matrix, and therefore it became impossible to get rid of the side frames by curving the panel.

The LG G6's dual camera features wide-angle and standard lenses with 125° and 71° angles, respectively. Facial recognition is available, but LG warns: "The feature provides less security for your phone than other methods such as pattern, PIN, password and fingerprint."

The official price of LG G6 in Russia is 39,990 rubles.

LG equipped the flagship V30 with a 6-inch P-OLED screen with an aspect ratio of 18:9, however, like in the G6, it did not round the edges or remove the side frames. Notably, the LG V30 is smaller in size than the OnePlus 5 with a regular 5.5-inch 16:9 display.

The dual camera is created according to the same logic as the G6. One lens is wide-angle at 120°, the other is normal at 71°. Moreover, the camera is so cool that David Franco, director of photography for Game of Thrones, took part in the presentation of the smartphone.

There are no innovations in terms of security here.

The start of sales in South Korea is scheduled for September 21. The smartphone will then go to North America, Asia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. The price is expected to be around $700 - about 40,000 rubles.

A mysterious smartphone from the “father of Android” Andy Rubin appeared in American online stores in early August without any announcement. Attention is drawn to the 5.71-inch LTPS screen covering almost the entire front panel. The front camera breaks the integrity, but after the iPhone X with its “ears,” it would be strange to scold the designers of the Essential Phone.

The smartphone is equipped with a dual camera: one color, the other monochrome. The tandem is designed to increase the amount of light received by 200% compared to “traditional” cameras, the developers say. Nothing is said about security features other than a fingerprint scanner.

The pre-order price is $699, delivery is promised in 1–2 months.

The images of Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 are breathtaking. On them it is truly frameless! However, in life everything is not like that. Yes, the 6-inch IPS screen with an 18:9 ratio seems to occupy 93% of the front panel, there is no earpiece. But there are frames, and on the sides, and, contrary to Xiaomi’s statement, they are not much smaller than those of the iPhone 7 Plus.

The camera of Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is a traditional “one-eyed” one, but on a Sony IMX386 sensor and with optical stabilization. Xiaomi didn’t bother with security measures.

The price in the maximum configuration on the Chinese market is 3,999 yuan (about 35,000 rubles).

    GSMArena.com

Xiaomi claims that the huge 6.4-inch screen covers 91.3% of the front panel, but measurements showed that no more than 84%. In general, it’s also not bad. The edges are not rounded, and therefore there are still small frames.

The camera is average, with an OmniVision sensor and no optical image stabilization. Facial recognition using neural networks, machine learning and an infrared camera? Of course not!

In the top configuration it will cost between 35-40 thousand rubles.

    SZ LifeStyle/AliExpress.com

Once upon a time, it was Sharp that released the first truly frameless smartphone, and the tradition continues. The Sharp Aquos 2 is a mid-ranger with a 5.5-inch 4K screen that covers 87.5% of the front panel and has a small cutout on top for the selfie camera. The main camera is dual, and the second module is needed solely to simulate the bokeh effect. Security is entrusted to the fingerprint scanner.

Inexpensive new product from a Chinese manufacturer. The world's first 6-inch smartphone with an edge-to-edge 18:9 display and a 5,100 mAh battery. There is also a dual camera - the second module allows you to blur the background. A fingerprint scanner is responsible for security.

The pre-order price of UmiDigi S2 is only $229.99 (about 13,000 rubles), shipping starts after October 11.

The cheapest smartphone in the selection and at the same time the most dubious. The manufacturer has moved the 5.5-inch display to the top as much as possible, which creates the feeling of a frameless design - but there are still frames.
