    There is probably no person who has never seen these white letters on a blue background, indicating a critical error in the operation of the system. Windows XP “lovers” joke a lot about BSoD, saying that the only way to get rid of it is by killing the operating system and installing it from scratch. And, preferably, not the brainchild of Bill Gates. But, as practice shows, the devil is not as terrible as he is painted, and the blue screen of death can be treated.

    What is BSoD?

    A blue screen of death is a crash message in the Windows XP/Vista/7/8 operating system that is caused by a fatal error in the kernel code running. Most often, it is associated with the execution of an illegal operation by the driver responsible for the stable operation of the system. The default reboot after a BSoD exits clears the user of all unsaved data, but the logs themselves appear in the system log.
