Google has a very negative attitude towards any attempts to download videos from YouTube, so it regularly removes the corresponding tools from the application store. Because of this, the program we are interested in will have to be downloaded from the developer’s website.

Moreover, he does this very efficiently, allows you to select the required format, can only extract the audio track, and so on. In addition, we will need a simple recipe for the IFTTT service, which can send a link to a video of interest to your smartphone or tablet. This can be done in several different ways.

Once the link to the video somehow ends up on your device, you need to send it to the YouTube Downloader application. This is very easy to do using the standard “Send” menu. Then all you have to do is select the desired format and save the file on your device for later viewing.

Each of the proposed methods has its own advantages and disadvantages. The first one works completely automatically, but involves a number of restrictions. The second requires you to perform several additional steps, but it works quite reliably. So the final choice, of course, is yours.

From the context menu or using icons, you can view the video file or copy it to the desired folder. True, there is no built-in player; it uses an external one designed for playing flv files, and if you don’t have the necessary codec, you won’t be able to see anything.

The program automatically configures all the necessary paths to the browser folders, but those who really want to can do it manually.

Also, in addition to searching for flv videos, you can configure it to search for images, sounds, and flash animations. I don’t recommend including pictures in the search; a lot of things will be found, and it will be difficult to deal with it; it’s better to save them manually.

You can slightly adjust the appearance, add lines, remove/add some columns, but this will definitely not change the program.

The approach to translation into various languages is made in an original way; we download the required language file and throw it into the program folders. When launched, the language settings will be automatically picked up. To return to English, you need to delete the localization file.
