• Firmware for meizu m3 mini phone. Firmware Meizu M3 Note. - We start the smartphone in Recovery mode, check the Clear Data box and click Start

Which is engaged in the production of various equipment. It has gained wide popularity in Russia quite recently, although its devices have huge potential in the market. How can these devices of a Russian user be so hooked? First of all, it is the price, which is very attractive to people. As you know, most of the population of our country is occupied by the working class, whose wages are quite low, which is why they cannot afford expensive smartphones. Although you can often see a man or woman on public transport holding a phone worth more than 50,000 rubles, which looks a bit strange from the outside. But let's not talk about it, because today we are not discussing the life of Russians, but how to flash or reflash a Meizu smartphone.

Meizu is a fairly popular company in Russia that produces powerful smartphones at an affordable price.

Before talking about the firmware, it is worth mentioning what changes in the filling of the device after the procedure. The essence of this "game" is to change the operating system of the device. And what OS is preinstalled on Meizu smartphones? That's right, Android. Quite an interesting fact: the top devices of the company in most cases own the latest versions of the operating system from Google. This is a very big plus, since you can get modern functionality for an affordable price.

Firmware or flashing today will be considered on the example of the most popular smartphone in Russia from the company - Meizu M3 Note. But this does not mean that owners of other devices can sadly close the tab in the browser - in fact, the principle of action is the same for all devices, only what you will download changes. For example, the firmware file for each device is different, however, the way to perform flashing remains the same. Therefore, everyone will find here what he needs.

To be honest and objective, in terms of design, the device is very much like a mixture of iPhone 6 and Samsung flagships. A rather strange copy, because it cannot be said that the design of iPhones is ideal. In general, it is now difficult to come up with something "such" for touch phones, where the front part is occupied only by the screen. Therefore, manufacturers often forget about the appearance, focusing only on the filling and interface of the operating system.

Meizu devices have their own Android shell, which is different from the standard Google one. It’s difficult to talk about its convenience, since this is a personal matter for everyone: someone is comfortable with iOS, someone with Android with a shell from Samsung - TouchWiz. But, if you are a former owner of Android, then you should not have problems working with Meizu devices.

    General rules for firmware

As with any instruction, there is also a list of basic recommendations here. It is worth noting that you need to follow them for a successful operation. Otherwise, you run the risk of getting a simple brick out of your Meizu M3 Note smartphone.

    1. The charge on your device should be sufficient to reinstall the operating system. In most cases, it is recommended to charge the device to 70-80 percent.
    2. Save all important data from the device to some external storage medium, because sometimes this data has the risk of being deleted during the flashing process. That is, it is done solely in your interests. It will be a shame if after the firmware you do not find photos from a summer holiday, for example.
    3. Meizu recommends that users first erase the data from the device, only then proceed with the firmware. This is not a regular wipe, during which absolutely everything is deleted: Clear Data cleans the current settings, records, pre-installed software and other data. However, your photos, music, videos will remain in place. But just in case, you can make a backup copy of the device.

Now you are ready to start the most delicious part of today's discussion. However, first you need to decide what exactly you will do with your Meizu M3 Note - update the firmware or completely reflash the device. Therefore, for convenience, we will continue along the path of separation.

    Firmware update

So, now we will try to update the version of the Meizu smartphone operating system without the help of a computer, using only the phone and your own.

    1. First of all, please note that the update will be downloaded from the company's servers. The size of the firmware can weigh more than one gigabyte, so take care of your Internet traffic. But the owners of unlimited tariff plans can not worry and calmly go about their business. Downloads must occur over Wi-Fi networks. Therefore, the first step is to connect to an available wireless network.
    2. We remind you about the backup recording of important data on an external drive. Do not ignore this moment, so as not to be without valuable data.
    3. We take our Meizu M3 Note and go to the settings menu of the device.
    4. Now we are looking for "About the device", where there is an "Update" tab. Here we will need a tab called "Software Update", click the update button. If your smartphone says that updates have already been installed on your device, then there are no available firmware for your device. That is, the latest available version of the operating system is installed. Otherwise, we agree to download updates and wait for it to finish.
    5. During the update, the device may restart several times. Therefore, we do not immediately panic, but simply gain patience. When everything is ready, you will see the home screen of the device. Congratulations! You have successfully completed the task.

    flashing

So, now let's talk about how to reflash a Meizu M3 Note smartphone using the firmware file that you download in advance. Therefore, before proceeding with any action, download the firmware file (update.zip) and copy it using a computer or laptop to the root of the disk (the smartphone must be in USB storage mode). If you do not know how to switch to this mode, then follow the instructions:

    1. We go into the settings of the smartphone and click on the menu item "Memory".
    2. Now select "Connect as MTP media device". Ready!

Now we will divide the flashing instructions into two subsections. That is, as you guessed, there are two ways to fulfill your desire. We choose the most preferable and do what we have planned.

    First option

    1. We turn off our smartphone, after which we press the power button and the volume up key at the same time until you see the Meizu logo.
    2. Now, in the update menu, select the System Upgrate item. If necessary, we additionally mark Clear Data (we reread the main rules above).
    3. Next, you can click on the coveted Start button. Well, then - only your patience. As in the previous case, the device may reboot.

    Second option

    1. Launch File Explorer on your smartphone.
    2. Find the firmware file you downloaded earlier and click on it. If necessary, do not forget about the Clear Data item.
    3. That's all: again, we wait until the whole process, which can take a long time, is completed. Only after successful completion can you use the device again in normal mode.

    Conclusion

This is not a doctor's conclusion, but a simple summing up, so do not be alarmed. Today we have learned as many as three ways to update the firmware, as well as flashing the Meizu M3 Note device. We remind you once again that this sequence of actions is suitable for most smartphones and tablets of the Chinese company. And remember that only you are responsible for all actions performed with your phone. Flashing the firmware may void warranty service and the right to warranty repairs. Do not forget to share your opinion and impression in the comments, dear friends!

Instructions for flashing the Meizu M3 Note phone to a new firmware (Flyme OS version), using the standard recovery menu, full Russification of the Meizu M3 Note smartphone, getting root, and also how to restore the “brick” (Meizu M3) after an unsuccessful firmware.

Thanks to the care of the manufacturer, Meizu phones are very difficult to kill when flashing, the system always first checks the firmware for compatibility and errors. Therefore, you can safely experiment with the firmware of your Meizu M3 Note. If you managed to ruin your smartphone, do not panic, you will only need to unlock the bootloader. And in order to prevent the state of the brick, you do not need to try to flash something in fastboot mode. But if you still managed to ditch your Meizu M3 Note, see below - instructions for restoring Meizu M3 Note

And so let's start the process of flashing Meizu M3 Note
There are several ways to flash the official Flyme OS, I will tell you about the simplest and most convenient in my opinion.

And so first download the desired firmware. Please note that the Chinese version of meizu M5 Note can only install firmware with the index “A”, “Y”, “C”, and the international version of meizu M5 Note can install any firmware, i.e. “G”, “I”, “A ”, “Y”, “C”

Download firmware for Meizu M3 Note “G” (international) – Flyme OS 5.1.11.0G M681H/L681H

Download firmware for Meizu M3 Note with index A (universal) – Flyme 5.1.3.5A

Then, without fail, we charge our smartphone to at least 60%, so that there is no chance

Turn off your Meizu M3 Note smartphone and, on the switched off phone, hold down the “power” and “volume +” buttons, after the logo appears, release the power button while continuing to hold the addition of sound, until the recovery menu appears .

Once in Recovery Meizu M3 Note, you will see only two items and two buttons. The first item is responsible for directly flashing the device, while the second item is clearing all data on the phone. For the correct firmware of the smartphone, you need to check both boxes, as in the photo above.

Then, using the supplied cable, connect the Meizu M3 Note phone (without leaving the recovery mode) to your PC (the operating system does not matter), the phone is recognized as a USB drive and a folder called Recovery will automatically open. In this folder, copy the previously downloaded firmware in the “update.zip” format.

When the copy is complete, disconnect your phone from the PC and click the Start button. The process of checking the firmware file will start and only after a successful check will the installation process begin. Usually, the Meizu M3 Note firmware takes 5-10 minutes, after which the smartphone will reboot on its own and be ready for use.

Instructions for switching to the international version of the firmware

The latest revisions of MQ phones (presumably since September) have flash memory manufactured by Kingston (EHACEA), information about which is not in the G firmware preloaders, which leads to the fact that after rebooting you get a BRICK that does not show any signs of life at all.
The Chinese preloader has information about 6 different types of memory that can be installed in this model. in international 5. when you switch to G firmware with EHACEA memory, you get a 100% “brick”

Anyone who owns the Chinese version of Meizu M3 Not and really wants to upgrade to the international Flyme OS firmware should definitely read it.

The following options are currently available.
    A simple one is recommended (respectively, without getting a brick): change the Chinese ID - 681xxxxx (01001, 01002, 01003, 01005, 01006, 51001, 51002, 51006, 61001, 61006) to the international ID - 68151001 and further flash the phone with firmware 5.1. 11.0G ( not less).
Difficult through intermediate (not for all devices, a brick is possible): phones with ID - 68151006 when passing through intermediate ID - 68100000 become BRICK.
Phones with Chinese ID - 681ххххх (01003, 01002, 01001, 61001, 61006) can be flashed to the international version without any problems through an intermediate ID - 68100000

And so let's start flashing Meizu M3 Note from preparation:
We get ROOT on the meiza m3 note directly in the Flyme account, for this:

Login to your account (Flyme account)
Then in the security menu (well, or “Fingerprint and security”), well, just check the Root checkbox there

Install the Super SU program from the market on your smartphone and update the binary
Install any terminal from the market and give it root access rights.

Installing a global ID on a Chinese Meizu M3 Note
Download the file, unzip it and place it in the root of your internal storage (i.e. /sdcard/ or /storage/emulated/0/)

Step 1 - Checking the Device ID
Item 2 - change the device ID to beta / intermediate (68100000)
Item 3 - change the device ID to global / international (68151001)
    Item 4 - change the device ID to Chinese (choose between 68101006, 68101005, 68101001, 68101002 and 68101003)
Step 5 - Reboot to Recovery Mode
Step 6 - reboot the device
Step 7 - exiting the script
    launch terminal
    get root rights (su)
go to the root of the internal memory (cd / sdcard)
    run the script (sh wwid.sh)

code example (no need to enter anything, the script will do everything by itself)

When connecting Meizu M3 Note L681H, a warning will pop up not to downgrade the firmware below 5.1.3.2G

Restoring Meizu M3 after an unsuccessful firmware

There is a small introduction. While the bootloader is not unlocked on your meizu m3 mini, it will not work to flash some regions using this instruction (for example, EMMC_BOOT - where the preloader lies). So for severe cases, such as damage to information in EMMC_BOOT, etc., this instruction, at the moment, will not work. Also, corrected (patched) images will not be sewn.

Each smartphone sometimes needs a flashing of its software. For Meizu M3 Mini, firmware is needed if the system is heavily clogged, the previous flashing failed, or you just need to upgrade to a newer version of the software. If you intend to use your device for several years, then this procedure will be a must in your life, since it directly affects the performance of the device.

But not every user knows how to update. Today we will consider the flashing process for Meizu M3 Mini, which can be done independently without services and outside help.

It is very convenient to update the firmware with only one smartphone. After all, you do not need any cables, computers and third-party programs, which simplifies the reinstallation process. However, this method is less reliable, but it is still worth trying.

I would like to note right away that before updating Meise, you should take care of a backup copy of your data. After the flashing process is completed, you will receive a pristine “clean” device as after purchase.

Download firmware from the official site

You can download the update for Meise M3 Mini on the website of the developer company. Not only that, this is exactly where it needs to be done. This is due to the fact that there are many low-quality firmware on the Web. They may have been modified or the archive may have been corrupted.

Checking the file name and extension

Many will skip this point, considering it unnecessary, and in vain. The file name and extension must be unchanged. Make sure it's downloaded update.zip. If this is not the case, then you should rename to update.zip. The extension must be zip. At best, the update process will not start, at worst, your Meizu M3 Mini will turn into a “brick”.

We start the smartphone in Recovery mode

There are two ways to flash. For the first one, you will not need the engineering menu (recovery mod). After downloading the file, download Conductor” (if it is not on your device). With it, we move the downloaded file to the root memory of the phone.

Next in " Explorer»Scroll to the end of the list and look for the update.zip firmware file. Just click on this file, select the option to clean files " Cleardata" and wait for the reboot.

If for some reason this method did not suit you, then you can flash through the recovery. To do this, turn off the device and while turning it on, hold down the volume up button and the power button.

After entering the recovery mod, select "S system update" and paragraph "C learn data". Waiting for the end of the flashing!

After the firmware update process is completed, the phone will reboot. It will last 3-5 minutes, after which you can use your device.

To check the software version, just go to settings and go to "About phone". There will be all the detailed information about the installed firmware version.

    Using a computer

Flashing to Meizu is also possible using a computer. To do this, you will need a USB cable and a few third-party programs.

    Firmware

Download and unpack the file on your PC. Install the drivers from the drivers folder. Run flash_tool.exe from the flashtool folder.

Then we launch SP Flash Tool. In the program, select "and the item" Scatter.txt". The program will prescribe the paths for installing the firmware.

Uncheck the box " Preloafer. If this is not done, then the smartphone will become a “brick” forever. After we take the switched off phone and connect it to the USB port of the computer. Press " Download". After everything is installed, the phone will reboot.

After all these manipulations, you can use the updated smartphone.

If you are the owner of a Chinese smartphone, sooner or later the moment will come when the device will no longer receive system updates "over the air". This is a signal that it is time to take matters into your own hands and do everything yourself. For Meizu M3s, firmware is needed if the smartphone’s performance has decreased, “glitches” have appeared, that is, in general, the entire operation of the gadget has deteriorated. The new firmware helps stabilize the system and get it back into the fray. Again, this will have to be done manually if the developer has stopped delivering update files. There are two possible options: directly via a mobile device or via a PC.

Even an inexperienced user can understand how to update Meizu M3s without third-party equipment, just study the detailed instructions and follow them clearly.

Download firmware from the official site

In order for the smartphone to be updated, you need to download the update for M3s. You can do this on the official website of the developers. There are many different third-party sites with firmware files offered on the Internet, but it is not recommended to use them, as this may lead to a complete failure of the phone's functions.

So, in order to download the official version of the firmware, you should go to the manufacturer's resource and select the name of the desired model in the list of updates. The standard browser of the device is quite suitable for the download.

After the file upload is completed, you need to check the correct name and extension. You need to search for the downloaded firmware in the folder " Download" or " Browser»using the built-in « Explorer". The update must be called " update.zip and be archived. In no case should you extract it from the archive. This will corrupt the downloaded firmware.

If the name and extension are correct, then you can move the firmware file to the internal memory of the device so that the system can detect it in developer mode.

We start the smartphone in Recovery mode

Now it remains to signal the smartphone to start flashing. To do this, turn off the gadget, and while turning it on, open the menu " recovery mode» by holding down the power button and volume up at the same time. The following are two simple steps:

    • System Upgrade»;
    • clear data

That's all. The flashing process has started, it remains only to wait a while.

To stabilize the operation of the smartphone after installing software updates, it is recommended to do a hard reboot. That is, when the flashing process is over and the phone turns on the desktop, you should immediately reboot it.

For Meise, the update can serve as a good service and return the former performance and functionality.

    Using a computer

If for some reason it is not possible to download an update from the Internet directly to a mobile device, there is a second way - to use it to flash a PC.

It is worth noting that no one gives a guarantee for a manual update of the system. That is, the user will have to perform all actions at his own peril and risk. Please note that in order to flash a smartphone through a computer, the following is required:

    • The mobile device itself;
    • USB cable for connecting PC and smartphone. It is recommended to use only the original cord;

    Download firmware

Just like in the first version, first you need to download the firmware for Meise M3s from the official resource. You should choose only the firmware option that is suitable for your smartphone model. If you mistakenly download the wrong file, the device will turn into a “brick” after the update. Therefore, everything must be done very carefully. By the way, using the manual flashing option is required only when manufacturers have stopped offering automatic device updates from the cloud. In any other situations, it is better to give preference to an automated firmware update system. We save the firmware to the root on a memory card (micro sd) and insert it into the phone.

Checking the file name and extension

In this case, you should once again check the name and extension of the file. It should be called update.zip” and nothing else, but must be strictly in the archive.

Connecting the phone in Recovery mode

The next step is to enter the developers menu. It was described above how this is done on Meizu phones (after turning off, the power and volume buttons are pressed).

    • In the list that appears, select " System Upgrade»;
    • From the options provided, select clear data". If there were any important data on the device, then before starting this process, you must make a backup copy or move them to a memory card, otherwise they will be lost.

    Firmware

It remains only to wait for the completion of the flashing process and you can enjoy the work of the updated smartphone.

Owners of smartphones released by the popular manufacturer MEIZU in our country are puzzled by the possibility of flashing their devices quite often. This is due to the peculiarities of the FlymeOS proprietary Android shell, under which the company's devices operate, as well as the variety of types and versions of this OS. The material below explains how to reinstall the operating system on the Meizu M3 Mini model.

As a result of following the instructions below, Meizu MZ Mini owners can get the latest OS version on their smartphone, ensure that the software part of the device fully meets the needs and expectations of users from the Russian-speaking region. In addition, the article touches upon the issues of restoring devices that are inoperable in terms of software. For any purpose of the firmware, before proceeding to direct intervention in the operation of the device, please note:

All operations with the model described in this material are performed by the user at his own discretion and taking into account the risks that arise in the process of working with the system software of the device! Responsibility for possible damage to the phone lies entirely with the person performing the manipulation!

A certain list of operations performed before flashing the Meizu M3 Mini allows you to quickly reinstall Android, the ability to save data from your phone and restore it later. It is highly recommended that you read the instructions for each preparatory and stitching operation from start to finish, and only then proceed to their implementation.

    Firmware types

Meizu, depending on the region for which a particular device is intended, equips its smartphones with different types of FlymeOS system. Firmware can be distinguished by finding out the letter index present in the designation of the assembly number.

In smartphones of the Meizu M3 Mini model, a system with indices can be installed by official methods: "Y"(YunOS is an outdated OS, practically not used); "A"(universal, for the international market); "UY", QY, "MY"(specific solutions "sharpened" for mobile operators from China).

Probably the saddest news for the owners of the device in question will be the fact that the official "global" firmware (indicated by the index "G") does not exist for a smartphone, and the above types of Android shells are not initially equipped with a translation of the interface into Russian. In addition, in the most suitable official systems from Meizu for installation in the model with an index "A" there are no Google services and they are replete with Chinese modules, absolutely useless and superfluous for users from our country.

In other words, in order to ensure that the software part of the Meizu M3 Mini meets the needs of the user from the Russian-speaking region, the official firmware will have to be modified. You can also resort to installing unofficial solutions already prepared for the device by enthusiastic users and posted on the Internet.

How to upgrade the M3 Mini system software using various methods is described below in the article, but you should first install the official FlymeOS 6.3.0.2A- the latest version of the system for the device in question at the time of the creation of this material. It was on the specified FlaimOS assembly that the apparatus used to conduct the experiments described below functioned. A link to download the package with the specified assembly for installation can be found in the description "Method 1" model firmware below in the article.

    Drivers and operating modes

In the general case (when the software part of the smartphone is working normally), when reinstalling the system software of the model in question, pairing with a computer will only be required to copy packages from the OS to the device’s memory. But in a situation where the device does not boot into Android, it requires restoring system software, etc. you can't do without a PC with specialized drivers installed.

Let's consider the procedure for equipping a computer with all the components that may be necessary when working with Meizu M3 Mini, and at the same time we will learn how to switch the device to special startup modes to access system memory sections. We download the archive with drivers for the model from the link below, unpack it into a separate folder on the PC disk.

Before proceeding further, you must deactivate driver digital signature verification in Windows!

Run on the computer "Device Manager" and carry out the following options for connecting the device in various states to a PC.

    1. MTP mode (file transfer).
    2. Recovery environment (recovery)- this is the phone state most often used when installing firmware on Meizu.
    3. Debug mode (Android Debug Bridge). In some situations, you may need to access the system memory partitions of the M3 Mini from a computer, which also requires drivers. To ensure the interaction of a PC and a smartphone via ADB:
    4. The Meizu M3 Mini device is based on the MTK processor, which means that at the lowest level it is possible to interact with the device’s memory in critical situations through the port . To access the port, connect the switched off smartphone to the computer by first pressing and holding the button on the device "Volume -". Once the cable is connected, release the volume control button.

The procedure for installing the driver for the mode is fully consistent with the instructions available on our website at the following link. The name of the file used is "cdc-acm.inf".

    5. Go to "Settings"("Settings") and open options security ("Safety") from the section Device ("Device"). tapai root permission ("Root access").

    6. "Accept" under a warning about the potential danger of opening root privileges and tap OK. Then we enter the password from the Flyme account and confirm the request by pressing "OK" again.

As a result, the smartphone will reboot and will be launched with activated root rights.

    7. Next, install the root rights manager. The tool is available in the app store App Store, integrated into all FlaimOS assemblies. We open the Meizu App Store and find the SuperSU tool page by entering the appropriate query in the search field.

    8. tapai Install ("Install"), then we wait for the download and installation of SuperSU to complete.

    9. After the installation of SuperSU is completed, we follow the path "Settings" ("Settings") — security ("Safety") — root permission ("Root access"). Finding an item "SuperSU", tap on it and in the request that appears, check the box next to the option "Allow" ("Allow"). In the next window, click "Allow" once again and finally confirm reading the warning - "Still Allow".

    10. Reboot M3 Mini. Then we open the privilege manager and update the binary file if necessary.

You may be prompted to do so after you run the tool for the first time.

    11. The second possibility to get Superuser privileges on Meizu M3 Mini is to use the . Recommendations for using the tool are set out in the material at the link below, but you need to take into account that the tool does not work successfully on all versions of FlymeOS released for the model in question.

    Backup information

Before interfering with the operation of the system software of any Android device, it is simply necessary to create a backup copy of the information present in the device’s memory in any preferred way.

With regard to saving data from Meizu M3 Mini, the best solution would be to use the options built into the Android shell of the phone. The process of creating a backup using FlymeOS is carried out step by step as follows:

    Firmware

After the preparation of the device and the computer, you can proceed to the choice of how to install the operating system. Giving preference to one or another method of manipulation, one should be guided primarily by the state of the software part of the Meizu M3 Mini, and only then by the desired result, that is, the type / version of the system under which the device will operate in the future.

    Method 1: Recovery

The instruction below is actually the official guide for installing FlymeOS on Meizu devices. The method is notable for its simplicity and can be used to install any versions of official firmware, as well as a complete reinstallation of the assembly of the system under which the device is currently running. If the M3 Mini boots into Android, a computer is not required to perform manipulations, except to copy the package with the system to the internal memory of the smartphone.

As an example and strong recommendation for users who manipulate the M3 Mini for the first time, regardless of the installed Android assembly, we install the official Flyme 6.3.0.2A. The package with this version of the OS can be downloaded from the link:

    1. We load the zip file with the firmware and, without renaming (the name should be "update.zip"), put it in the root of the internal drive of the device. If FlymeOS does not boot, proceed to the next step without copying the package.

    2. We fully charge the battery of the smartphone, turn it off and go into the recovery environment.

If the firmware was not placed in the device's memory earlier, we connect it to the PC and copy the package "update.zip" to the drive Recovery, defined in Windows as a result of pairing a device with a running recovery and a computer.

    3. Set checkbox in checkbox "Clear data" to clear the device's memory during system installation. You can skip this step only if the update is complete and without failures of the functioning FlymeOS, but in this case the procedure is recommended for use.

    4. To initiate the start of the process of overwriting the system memory areas of the M3 Mini, press Start. Further manipulations are performed automatically, no action is required. We observe the filling of the procedure progress indicator.

    5. Upon completion of the installation of FlymeOS Meizu M3 Mini will automatically reboot, optimize applications and launch into the installed system - it will demonstrate the initial shell setup screen.

    6. Set Android options

after which the phone is considered ready for use.

    Installing Google Services

As mentioned above, official FlymeOS builds lack Google services and apps. To correct the situation and get the usual features, for example, on our M3 Mini, we will use the instructions from the material available at the following link:

    Russification of the official OS

Of course, the interface of the system shell in English is not exactly what makes the operation of the smartphone as comfortable as possible for a Russian-speaking user. Those who do not plan to switch to modified firmware can fix the situation in two ways.

Root rights are required for the effective work of the "interface translators" described below!

    1. The Morelocale 2 Android app provides the easiest way to add Russian to FlaimOS. Morelokale 2 does not provide a complete translation of the operating system, but the interface elements of most applications will be in Russian.
    2. More opportunities for transferring the official FlymeOS to Meizu M3 Mini are provided by a development called "@Florus". This product is recognized as one of the best in solving the issue of Russification of Meizu system software and is distributed free of charge on specialized forums. Download the apk-file of the program, tested on the MZ model, functioning under the control Flyme 6.3.0.2A you can follow the link:
      • Loading "Florus-8.4-Flyme6.apk" and place the file in the internal memory of the device.

      • Installing the tool. To do this, open the application Files and find the above package in the device's memory.

After tapping on the file, you will be asked to unlock the ability to install applications - click Unblock. The next step is to click on the button. "continue".

      • Open the installed Florus. tapai "INSTALL RUSSIAN LOCALIZATION" and grant Superuser privileges to the tool.

We are waiting for the completion of the Russification process - displaying the requirement to reboot the phone, under which you need to tap "YES".

      • After the device restarts, we can state an almost complete translation of the FlaimOS interface

        and installed applications into Russian.

      • Additionally. If desired, with the help of Florus, you can remove unnecessary Chinese software, which is abundantly present in the official firmware. To do this, press the corresponding button on the main screen of the tool, and then wait a bit until the system is cleaned.

After the reboot, almost all useless applications will disappear from the phone.

    Method 2: adb

A user who has just become the owner of the Meizu M3 Mini may have in his hands a device on which an OS is installed that has previously undergone various changes. For example, it is not uncommon for sellers to accidentally or deliberately overwrite a section recovery, which makes it impossible to start the recovery environment, and / or removed the program modules responsible for updating the OS, etc.

In such a situation, it is necessary to return the recovery environment to the device, which will allow you to use the above method of installing Android in the future. It is possible to flash the recovery by sending commands to the phone via . It should be noted that apart from recovery ADB commands allow you to overwrite other sections of the device’s memory, that is, flash the Meizu M3 Mini almost completely, but it would still be more rational to install only the recovery environment, and carry out further manipulations with the system software through it.

To overwrite memory partitions using ADB commands, the device must be rooted and SuperSU installed!

An archive containing everything you need to complete the following instructions is available for download at the link below: a minimum set of ADB and Fastboot files for working with Android devices; img image recovery from the firmware 6.3.0.2A.

    1. Unpack the archive obtained from the link above. As a result, we get two directories: "adb_fastboot" And "M3_recovery". The first folder contains the ADB console utility - we copy it to the root of the system drive (C:) of the computer.

The second directory contains the recovery environment image. The folder with the img file, without renaming, must be placed in the root of the internal memory of the smartphone.

    2. Launch the Windows Command Prompt.
    3. We enter the command in the console to go to the directory with ADB and press "Enter" on keyboard:

      cd C:\ADB_Fastboot

    4. Activate on M3 Mini "USB Debugging" and connect the smartphone to the USB port of the PC. In the console, we write the command to check the visibility of the device by the computer:

As a result, the command line should display the serial number of the device.

    5. Then, in turn, we send commands of the following syntax to the phone. After entering each instruction, press "Enter" on keyboard:
      • adb shell

      • su

As a result of executing the command, a request for granting root access will appear on the smartphone screen, we confirm it.

      • dd if=/sdcard/M3_recovery/recovery.img of=/dev/block/platform/mtk-msdc.0/by-name/recovery bs=40960

      • rm -r /sdcard/M3_recovery/*

      • exit

        exit

      • adb reboot recovery

    6. As a result of the above steps, Meizu M3 Mini will reboot into factory recovery, which makes it possible to install Flyme OS "Method 1" described above in the article.

    Method 3: Flash Tool

The most cardinal and effective method of working with Meizu M3 Mini memory areas is to use the functions - a universal flash driver for Android smartphones based on Mediatek processors. The method described below allows you to return the device to life even if it is impossible to boot into the OS and there is no access to the recovery.

The algorithm of actions carried out through FlashTool and allowing you to flash the model in question differs from that suitable for restoring the software part of most other MTK Android phones. Therefore, we follow the recommendations carefully!

As a result of the following steps, four memory areas of the model in question will be overwritten - "boot", recovery, system, "custom", which in most cases allows the device to start up in Android and function normally in the future. The system.img image from the example below contains a modified assembly of FlaimOS 6.3.0.0A with a Russian-language interface and cleaned of Chinese programs. It is through FlashTool that the author of this modification recommends installing his solution.

    1. We download the archive with FlashTool of the version suitable for manipulations with the Meise M3 Mini (when using other versions of the application, the method described below may not work), and unpack the resulting file into a separate folder on the PC disk.

    2. Download the package with system images and scatter file. Extract the components to a separate directory.

    3. Run FlashTool as Administrator.

click "OK" in the notification that the scatter file is missing.

    4. We press the button download agent, which will open a file selection window in which you need to specify the module "DA_PL.bin" and click "Open".

    5. , in Explorer we go along the path of the location of the firmware images, select the file "MT6750_Android_scatter.txt", press "Open".

    6. We make sure that the Flashtool window matches the screenshot below. That is, the checkboxes must be checked "boot", recovery, system, "custom" and no others, and the paths to img-images on the disk are correctly specified and the mode is selected "Download Only".

    7. To initiate the procedure for overwriting the system partitions of the device, click Download.

    8. The firmware will start automatically as soon as M3 Mini is defined in Windows as "MediaTek PreLoader USB VCOM". It remains to wait for the rewriting of the device's memory areas, watching the progress bar in the Flash Tool program window.

    9. Upon completion of the operation, a window confirming its successful result will appear. "Download OK". Disconnect the USB cable from the device.

    10. It is highly recommended that after performing partition overwriting through FlashTool, clear the memory. Boot into recovery, check the option "Clear Data", tap Start.

    11. At the end of a rather long stage, the first after the above described manipulations of loading and initializing the installed components, a screen will appear with the choice of the Flyme language. We define the main parameters of the Android shell.

    12. You can proceed to the operation of the restored smartphone running a modified FlameOS assembly!

    Method 4: FlashFire (without computer)

Modern software tools allow you to reinstall the OS on Meizu M3 Mini directly from Flyme, without using a PC and without putting your smartphone into special operating modes. Most often, the method proposed below, which involves using the functions of the FlashFire Android application, is used to install modified and / or ported firmware into the device.

As an example, let's install the system port from another smartphone, Meizu M3S, into the model under consideration. This device is released with global firmware versions, so the upgraded for use on the M3 Mini FlameOS from it is very popular among the owners of the firmware model. In fact, after installing the M3 port, the Mini “turns” into an M3S in terms of system software.

Before following the instructions below, you need to get Superuser privileges on the device and install SuperSU!

    1. We place the directory downloaded from the link above and containing the system.img image in the internal memory of the device or on the memory card installed in it.

    2. Install the FlashFire application from the Google Play Market.

If there are no Google services in the installed system, you can use Meizu App Store.

Open this Store, write a request in the search field flashfire, tap "Install" on the program page and wait for the installation to complete.

    3. Open FlashFire, give the tool root privileges.

We confirm reading the warning about the potential risks of using the tool by tapping AGREE under the relevant request.

    4. As before any procedure related to interfering with the system software of the Android device, before performing further manipulations, it is recommended to create a backup of the already installed OS. The most reasonable solution to save a backup would be to use an external drive, so install a MicroSD card in the device, and then go the following way:
      • Press the round button «+» on the main screen of FlashFire, select backup in the displayed list of options. Next, tap "Full All partitions".

      • touching Location and indicate "External SD card" as storage for a future backup. Optionally, you can assign a meaningful name to the backup and uncheck the checkboxes indicating the types of data that are not required to be archived (most often, the largest partition is excluded from the backup data). Having determined the parameters of the future backup, tap the checkmark at the top right of the screen.

      • Click "FLASH" at the bottom of the FlashFire main screen, confirm the request to start the operation by pressing "OK" in the window that appears.

      • We are waiting for the end of copying information to the archive - the smartphone screen will first turn off for a while, and then the inscription will be displayed on it. Further, information about the actions performed by the application at the moment will appear.

      • Upon completion of the partition dump, the M3 Mini will reboot, and we will receive a backup copy of the OS, which is stored along the FlashFire / Backups path on the memory card.

    5. We proceed to the procedure for loading into FlashFire an image file to overwrite the partition system.
    6. We include the partition cleaning procedure in the process of reinstalling the firmware in order to avoid problems in the functioning of FlaimOS in the future. touching «+» , choose Wipe, set checkboxes: System data, 3rd party apps, "Dalvik cache", Cache partition. Confirm your choice by tapping on the checkmark at the top of the screen.

    7. Click "FLASH", we confirm the request for readiness to start overwriting the main system partition by tapping "OK" in the request window.

    8. Further, the device will stop responding to user actions and the procedure for transferring files from the image to the M3 Mini memory will begin, accompanied by the filling of the progress indicator on the screen. We are waiting for the process to complete, after which the device will reboot automatically.

    9. The first start of a system installed via FlashFire takes longer than usual, due to the need to initialize and optimize all OS components. The download ends with the appearance of the Android initial setup screen.

    10. Define basic shell settings.

    11. As a result, we get the M3 Mini, ready for daily use, running the global firmware originally intended for the M3S model, which, however, does not prevent the system from performing its functions perfectly!

Thus, after reading the above material, you can make sure that reinstalling and restoring the operating system of the Meizu M3 Mini smartphone is quite feasible for an ordinary user of the model and should not cause difficulties if the verified instructions are followed scrupulously.
