True, a little disappointment awaited me inside: smartphones have few accessories, the quality is questionable, like most budget devices.     Fortunately, everything is better with the devices themselves. Even though these are standard bricks for the budget class, they are not without a certain charm and are generally made with high quality: there are no creaks, no lags, the panels fit together very tightly.

    It is difficult to evaluate the external beauty of these smartphones, as, indeed, of any other budget smartphones. They are nice and neat, but under no circumstances can they lay claim to originality or recognition.

    The older ONETOUCH Pop C5 is made of milky-white plastic with all its advantages (beautiful) and disadvantages (all fingerprints and the slightest specks of dust are visible). On the sides there is a silver stripe “like metal” - in general, a very common occurrence.

    Despite the difference in the color and material of the back panel, it looks generally similar on both smartphones (except that it is mirrored). At the same time, none of the smartphones tried to slip out of the palm, a rarity for me as the owner of small hands of XS size.

    I have highlighted the screens in a separate section to talk about them in detail, but the devices are clearly not worth being proud of their displays. Their resolution is low, pixelation is noticeable to the naked eye: it does not seem to interfere with work (not so critical), but it also does not provide a pleasant feeling.

    I also cannot attribute color rendition as a plus. Subjectively, she’s somehow different, the picture is ugly, lifeless or something. My thoughts were confirmed by the editorial colorimeter - the lines on the measurements seemed to have gone crazy and were jumping wherever they wanted. The only thing that is more or less the same is the gamma curve. Well, at least with the reproduction of dark and light areas you shouldn’t expect meanness from smartphones.

    The brightness margin is small; even the maximum value is insufficient in bright sunlight. Although the corners are good, except for the top. Perhaps this is the only thing that made me happy about the screens.

    To protect the screen, DragonTrail glass is used, a sort of “gorilla glass”. I didn’t specifically decide to test them for scratch resistance, but during the entire time I was testing and carrying the ONETOUCH Pop C3 and then the ONETOUCH Pop C5 in my pocket, nothing happened to them.

ALCATEL ONETOUCH Pop C5 lasted 9 hours 4 minutes in this marathon, and ALCATEL ONETOUCH Pop C3 left the race at 6 hours 26 minutes.
