    Calibration via the engineering menu

    To edit the operation of sensors, use a hidden section with settings.     Important! Changes made in the engineering menu are saved even after a reboot. Therefore, you should not change other settings without proper knowledge and preparation.

    After going to the engineering menu, you need to perform several simple steps:

    1. At the top of the screen, select the “Hardware Testing” section.
    2. Scroll down the list and select “Sensor”.

For example, if you are typing a message and all the letters you clicked are displayed on the screen, you do not need to do anything. It’s another matter when you click on one letter several times and only after that it appears on the screen or does not appear at all, or a completely different letter appears instead - all this may indicate that the sensor clearly has problems. However, we should not forget that the problem may be hidden not in the touchscreen, but, for example, in the film glued to the screen. In some cases, these may be traces left by something sticky. Wipe the screen with a napkin and see how the sensor works. If so, then it needs to be calibrated.

    How to calibrate a sensor without third-party software?

    There are two ways to calibrate the sensor - using internal Android software and using third-party software (applications). In the first case, the built-in software in your operating system is used. But be careful, not all firmwares have a third-party calibration tool!

    And now - simple instructions.

    • Go to your device settings.
    • Find the Phone Settings or Tablet Settings section.
    • Here find the “Calibration” item. It may be located in another section, for example, in the “Screen” section.
    • Click on the "Calibration" item.

    How to calibrate a sensor using third-party software?

    We go to Google Play Market and write display calibration in the search.

    Select the application and click “Install”.

    The application is installed. Let's launch it. The good thing about this particular application is that you practically don’t have to do anything - just click on the big blue Calibrate button in the center of the screen.

    The calibration process has begun. Do not touch anything or turn off the device!

    After about 30 seconds (numbers may vary), you will see that the calibration is complete, as indicated by the date of the last calibration.

    Check the functionality of the touchscreen.

    What to do if calibration did not help?

    Try other apps from the Market. If they don’t help, you can try to restore the device to its original form. You can also try to reflash the device. If this does not help, most likely the touchscreen has died and requires replacement. Contact the service center.

    After touchscreen smartphones replaced push-button phones from the gadget market, users were faced with a new problem. The sensor can " be dumb”, do not respond to requests, or even during a touch, open something that is not what the user needed, as if displacing him. Unfortunately, we cannot advise you on specific programs, since they will display differently on different devices. BUT, I personally recommend the applications I used!
