The issue of number porting appears immediately after purchasing a new mobile device or repairing an old one.

Most modern phones run on an operating system Android, developed by Google.

Based on this, we can safely say that the device on which the Android OS is installed can be synchronized without problems with Google services .

Thus, when transferring Google contacts to your phone, there should not be any difficulties.

To transfer numbers to your device, just log in to your Google account. All necessary information is automatically imported into the mobile phone.

Advice! In order to be able to perform all of the above actions, you must first perform synchronization. If you haven't done this yet, you can start the operation right now. To avoid any difficulties or questions, please use the instructions.

Go to the “Settings” menu and select the “Accounts and Synchronization” section there.

From the list of suggestions, select Google. If you already have a Google account, simply log in. If not, go through the registration procedure.

Once you've signed in to your account, go to Contacts on your mobile device. Open the menu of this section and select “Import/Export” from the list.

In most Android mobile phones, this menu is called up by pressing the left touch button.

Having selected the desired section of the menu, we are taken to a page where you will need to select. Where to get contacts for synchronization. Choose a phone.

Now you need to specify where the contacts will be stored. Enter your Gmail so that the information is saved in the location you want.

Be careful, as copying information is just one click of a button.

Pressing again will result in duplicate contacts.

Firstly, it is a guarantee that you will not lose valuable information if your mobile phone is lost or broken. Secondly, it makes it much easier to transfer contacts from one phone to another.

Previously, you had to save all contacts on a SIM card or transfer them manually. Now, all you need to do is synchronize and log into your account from a new device.

Often, many smartphone users store phone contacts on a SIM card, but there comes a time when the SIM card is full of numbers and there is nowhere to write them down. Plus, only one number can be written down for one name, and the number of characters is also limited, and the phone book takes on the following form: VasilIvanovich MTS, TamaraNikol Kievst, etc. Whether it’s contacts saved in the phone - you can specify: first name, last name, company and position, write down the numbers of different mobile operators (personal and work), email, and most importantly, add a photo and set a ringtone for the call.

But before you create a complete and beautiful phone book, you need to work hard, spend a lot of time and effort. Imagine, you finally did it, didn’t sleep for several days in a row, wrote down all the numbers of your relatives, friends, acquaintances and employees, and at one point the phone malfunctioned and the entire phone book disappeared. Therefore, in order to protect yourself from such situations and not go through this procedure again, you just need to transfer all your existing contacts to your Google account once and set up synchronization so that in the future, when you add or change contact details on your phone, they will automatically change and in the account.

Many users around the world use Gmail email and Android mobile OS devices. Both the first and second belong to Google and are part of the same ecosystem, connected by a single account. One of the most important elements of the latter is contacts, and today we will talk about how you can view them.

The vast majority of Google services are cross-platform, that is, available for use on various operating systems - both desktop and mobile. Among them are "Contacts", which can be opened both through a browser on a computer and on a mobile device. Let's consider both options.

    Option 1: Browser on PC

As we said above, "Contacts" is one of many Google services, and on a computer you can open it for viewing as easily as any website.

Note: Before you begin following the instructions below, please log in to your Google account. The following article will help you do this.

    1. Go to Google's start page in your browser, or open any of the company's web services other than YouTube (such as search). Click the button "Google Apps", located to the left of your profile photo and made in the form of a square of nine dots.

Find in the list that opens "Contacts" and click on this icon with the left mouse button (LMB) to go to the page of interest to us. You can also access it using the direct link provided below.

    2. Actually, the first thing you will see in front of you will be the list of contacts saved in your Google account. The first tab of the side menu displays only those entries that are saved in your phone's address book.

Information about them is divided into several categories: name, email, phone number, position and company, groups. It is not necessary that all of them be filled in, and the order of these columns can be changed through the menu called up by clicking on the three vertical dots on the right.

Each contact can be added to favorites (star), edited (pencil); print, export, hide or delete (three dot menu). To select multiple records, you need to check the checkbox that appears to the right of the user name (after hovering the cursor).
    3. Next side menu tab – “Who do you often communicate with?”, and its name speaks for itself. This section presents not only contacts from your phone's address book, but also those with whom you corresponded via Gmail email.
    4. In the tab "Similar contacts" Duplicate entries will be shown, if there are any, of course.
    5. In the section "Groups" Can "Create a group" with contacts, for which you just need to click on the item of the same name, give it a name, "Save" and then add users.
    6. If you expand the drop-down list "More", you will see several additional sections. The first one is "Other contacts".

It will list the users (and companies) you've communicated with via email (including those who emailed you but didn't receive a response), as well as those with whom you've worked on documents from Google Virtual Office. .

Information about them will be divided into columns in the same way as address book entries from the first tab. Working with and editing them is carried out according to the same algorithm - move the cursor over the required contact, select the desired action and perform it. The only difference is that these entries cannot be changed, but from here they can be saved to the main section "Contacts", which also means the ability to edit basic information.

    7. To add "New contact" Click on the corresponding button above the list of tabs, indicate the necessary information in the window that appears, and then "Save" their.

    8. To search for the required records, use the line located above the list and enter your request into it (name or email of the contact you are looking for).
    9. If you collapse the side menu "More", you will see several additional options, some of which are the same as the actions available in the hotel contacts menu. Here you can import and export all records at once (to/from another service or to/from a file), print them, and also cancel changes made.
    10. This is how you can view and further work with contacts in your Google account through a browser on your computer.

    Option 2: Mobile application

A small problem is that you will not always be able to see only Google and Gmail contacts on all devices (depending on the manufacturer) - the pre-installed application may contain absolutely all address book entries, and the ability to switch between accounts is not always available.

Note: The example below uses an Android smartphone, but the procedure will be performed in a similar way on iPhone and iPad. There are slight differences in both the application interface "Contacts", and in their functionality, and we will show the main ones in separate images. Direct viewing, which is the subject of this article, is available on devices with both operating systems.

    1. Find the application on the main screen or in the general menu "Contacts" and run it.
    2. You will see a list of absolutely all contacts saved in your address book, and here you can see only entries from your Google account, as well as from several different accounts (for example, a device manufacturer or some third-party email service, instant messenger).

So, on devices with “pure” Android, you can switch between Google accounts and add new ones, for which you just need to tap on your profile image to the right of the search bar.

Some vendors accompany entries in the address book with images indicating the profile (account) in which they are saved. There are also those who simply add convenient filters that simplify navigation between different services.

Also on Android it is possible to view contacts saved separately in various applications (for example, instant messengers).
