• How to activate the service everything is great. Why MTS tariffs are being closed: reasons and alternatives. Tariff plan options

    One of the classic offers from the largest operator in Russia is the “Super MTS” tariff, the description of which we propose to study more carefully today.

    Tariff "Super MTS"

    Cool!Sucks!

    Even despite the abundance of modern offers from the company, many people remain faithful to the “classics” and use this particular package, so it is important to understand all its nuances and aspects.

    Who is the Super MTS tariff suitable for?

    This offer can be called the most rational choice for customers who prefer to communicate exclusively within one cellular network and only within the boundaries of their home region.

    Using the “Super MTS” tariff of 2019, you can make quite profitable calls to home numbers within the MTS network, while significantly saving on the subscription fee.

    Current version. Tariff information updated April 21, 2018.

    Subscribers have access to a daily free package of 100 MB of Internet traffic with the “Everything Super” option connected, then it is automatically connected at a price of 25 ₽ for every 20 MB;

    This is very expensive, so you can think about connecting options such as “BIT”, “Internet” or “Turbo button”, within which you can get a certain amount of traffic for use for a month for relatively little money.

    Detailed description of the “Super MTS” tariff 2017 [closed for connection]

    Since 05/03/2018, the old version is closed for connection and renamed to the “Super MTS 122014” tariff, but, due to the large number of subscribers who still use it, we leave information below about its detailed conditions and cost of calls.

    The cost is indicated for subscribers in Moscow and the region

    There is no subscription fee for the Super MTS tariff plan.

    The operator's clients have the opportunity to call under the following conditions:

    • 20 minutes a day for free calls to MTS at home and to landline numbers;
    • Calls to MTS numbers at home, starting from 21 minutes: 1.50 ₽;
    • Calls to landline numbers at home from 21 minutes: 2.50 ₽;
    • Calls to MTS within the Russian Federation: 5 ₽/minute;
    • Calls to other phones at home: 2.50 RUR/min.;
    • Calls throughout the country: 14 ₽/minute.
    To increase the volume of free calls to 100 minutes per day, subscribers can activate the option;

    As for text messages, they are available for sending in Moscow for 2 rubles to any direction, as well as for 3.80 rubles. You can send SMS to any destination within the country. SMS abroad will cost subscribers 5.25 rubles, and multimedia messages cost 9.90 rubles per piece.

    Internet in the “Super MTS” package 2017

    By default, the “Basic Internet tariffication” options are activated with, to put it mildly, a rather high cost of Internet access of 20 MB. for 25 ₽ and “First Internet package” with a subscription fee of 360 ₽ per month. I wrote above what they can be replaced with in the terms of the new version of the tariff plan.

    Additional services on the “Super MTS” tariff 2017

    In addition, you can optimize your tariff through services such as “Call for free to MTS Russia 100”. This is a wonderful additional service for 3.50 rubles. in daily mode allows you to receive 100 minutes of free calls. You can also diversify your package with the “SMS Smart Package” option, which makes it possible to send free messages. All these services can be activated in the application or personal account on the operator’s website.

    Of course, the services mentioned above are offered as one of the potential options for selection, and you can independently select the most optimal options for your case and connect them in your personal account, application, or corresponding codes.

    Some specifics have appeared on the timing and sequence of events for the launch of 5G; MegaFon calls 2022. MTS is closing all archived “Super MTS” with free minutes and transferring users to tariffs with a monthly fee. Don't forget to check the passport details for which your SIM cards are issued.

    There is so much talk and writing about the launch of 5G that many people think that this technology will very soon come to “smart homes”, “smart cars” and other “smart things”. No, not quite soon yet. Interfax, with reference to Kommersant, published approximate dates and sequence of events, you can read it. For those who don’t like to follow the links below - the most basic.

    MegaFon signed an agreement with the Moscow government at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, pledging to launch commercial operation of 5G in the capital by 2022. The agreement was signed for a period of five years with the possibility of extension for the same period.

    Under the terms of the agreement, MegaFon will have to deploy a pilot 5G network in Moscow by the end of September 2019, and a commercial one by 2022. From May to September 2018, the parties also plan to launch pilot zones in Moscow to demonstrate the capabilities of a new generation of communications in the field of virtual and augmented reality, Internet of Things, smart city and smart car.

    MegaFon received frequencies for the 5G pilot zone back in July 2017. In November, the operator signed an agreement on cooperation in the development of new generation networks with Rostelecom, which a little later also received frequencies for this technology. The state commission refused to allocate frequencies for the MTS pilot network in December 2017, and to VimpelCom in April 2018.

    Naturally, MTS and Beeline are also not sitting idly by and testing new technologies. We can assume that commercial 5G will appear around the same time for all operators. The fact that not everyone was allocated frequencies for pilot networks is not worth dramatizing.

    About the closure of archival “Super MTS”

    Old versions of the “Super MTS” tariff with daily free minutes within the network are being closed. All that remains is the new “Super MTS” with a monthly fee from 5 to 9 rubles. per day depending on the region, you can read our review. You can disable the subscription fee, but then there will be no more free minutes. What is unexpected is that the existing subscribers of these archives will be “transferred” not to Red Energy or “Per-Second”, but to the “My Unlimited” or “Our Smart” packages, both with a substantial subscription fee.

    To call this event the “hit of the season,” or even the year, would not be an exaggeration. MTS does not publish statistics on tariffs, but there are not just many subscribers to the archived “Super MTS”, there are a lot of them. They stay on tariffs without a subscriber and call back with 20 free minutes within the network. Now this entire ecosystem is going to be destroyed, and that could be painful. Or at least offensive. Conveniently, there is no need to publish the list: all archived “Super MTS” in all regions are simply closed. The exception is the penultimate “Super MTS” in certain regions. Those tariffs that made the first minute of any conversation chargeable did not seem to touch them. They will live in the archives until next time.

    Options? Alas, there are no analogues. You can switch to Red Energy in the hope that it will not be closed. Or at least they will simply send it to the archive without touching those who have already connected. They also recommend the “Your Country” tariff with the “Call MTS Russia” option. In any case, there will be no more free calls without a subscriber, and lovers of extreme savings will have to change their behavior model. Like “Moose tariff, dial and reset!” (emoticon, see ancient screenshot above).

    About anonymous sim cards

    And not about anonymous SIM cards either. It’s already summer, and on June 1, 2018, amendments to the Communications Law came into force. We are talking about tightening procedures for identifying SIM card owners, and, according to some estimates, up to 20% of mobile communications users may be “at risk.” Now operators must check the authenticity of the passport data on which SIM cards are issued, and not only SIM cards currently sold, but also issued previously. As far as I understand, to verify data, operators have access to the Unified Identification and Authentication System (USIA). Operators will be checked (selectively? If suspicions arise?) and if inconsistencies are found, they will be punished. So don’t hesitate, cell phones will check your passport details. Actually, they have been checking for a long time, but from June 1 there may be consequences in the form of blocking. I don’t know what algorithms the systems use and how long it will take for a complete reconciliation, but it’s time for you and me to take care of the well-being of our phone numbers. By the way, read the news “on topic”, the operators are definitely not joking in their warnings.

    Theoretically, all telephone numbers of individuals should be linked to reliable passport data. If the numbers are registered to an organization, then the operator must receive a list of actual users, again with their passport details. If the organization no longer exists, then the number must be re-registered in your name.

    For corporate SIM cards, a kind of “soft” blocking should work as a measure of influence; the balance will not be replenished individually, and the numbers should “die” naturally. Organizations still have the option to top up their phone balances by bank transfer.

    In theory, SIM cards issued to non-existent subscribers should be blocked. And also for invalid passports. They will probably first send you an SMS asking you to clarify your passport details. Or they may not send it. Or the SMS may not arrive. Or an anonymous SIM card can be in some kind of alarm system or GSM relay, as in. I have already read perplexed questions about what to do in such cases; a person may simply not know that the number is in danger of being blocked? Alas, nothing can be done about it; operators probably don’t want potential troubles on their own and, quite possibly, the number will be blocked.

    A lot of hassle and headaches for you and me, and for the operators too. Actually, all these mandatory formalities, registrations, etc. were already spelled out in the law, but no one really bothered about this. In our country, the severity of laws is often compensated by the optionality of their implementation. Look, some years ago I read in the contract that the subscriber is obliged to notify the operator about changes in passport data within some strict deadline, so what? How many people have done this? From time to time people encountered difficulties, but only when it was necessary to replace a SIM card. I’m afraid that now almost any of us can face these same “difficulties” at any moment.

    It's unpleasant, yes. You can loudly moan about the violation of privacy, you can even organize a rally about this. But there are many other online platforms for all this. My job is to warn you about what is happening. So that unexpected “pleasant surprises” do not happen to you.

    The updated “Super MTS” tariff is suitable for low-speaking subscribers who use simple mobile phones and make calls mainly to MTS numbers within their home region. Please note that the prices listed below are valid for Moscow and Moscow Region. You can find out more information about other regions on the operator’s official website.

    Description of the “Super MTS” tariff

    The monthly subscription fee is 0 ₽.

    Outgoing calls:

    • to mobile MTS and landline numbers in your home region: with the service Everything is great - 0 ₽, without - 1.5 ₽;
    • subscribers of other operators in the home region - 2.5 ₽;
    • in Russia: on MTS - 5 ₽, for others - 14 ₽.

    Mobile Internet:

    • with option Everything is great— 100 MB per day for free;
    • without the option - 25 ₽ for every 20 MB of traffic.

    SMS

    • local - 2 ₽;
    • in Russia - 3.8 ₽;
    • abroad - 8 ₽.

    Option Everything is great is included by default in the Super MTS tariff. This service provides 100 MB of Internet traffic per day, as well as the ability to make unlimited calls to MTS and landline numbers in your home region. Please note that the cost of this service is 9 rubles per day. To disable option: dial *111*249# and select the desired item from the menu.

    How to connect a tariff

    There are several ways to connect Super MTS. Choose the most convenient one and use it:

    • through your personal account or the official mobile application of the operator;
    • using a short ussd command: dial *111*8888*1# and press the “call” button;
    • buy a SIM card with TP at one of the company’s service offices or online store;
    • Subscribers of other operators can switch to a tariff with their own number. To do this, you need to leave a request on the website.

    Connection will cost 0 ₽ if more than a month has passed since the previous TP change, if less - 150 ₽.

    It offers its users a variety of tariff plans that allow them to use free minutes, limited Internet traffic and, of course, free SMS and MMS. Such tariffs are an excellent alternative for those who constantly use smartphones or tablets, for the simple reason that the subscription fee for all this abundance is quite low.

    But don’t forget about those subscribers who don’t need all this. After all, what’s the point of paying a fixed subscription fee every day if you simply don’t use most of the services? A special tariff plan has been created for inactive users - " Super MTS".

    This tariff does not have a subscription fee. That is why it is perfect for older people who make calls very rarely.

    But keep in mind that if you constantly have to travel abroad and use international roaming, then this tariff will not be suitable for you, so you should look for more profitable options.

    Super MTS tariff - description

    So, it has already been said above that the Super MTS tariff does not oblige the subscriber to pay a fixed monthly fee every day. But it’s worth checking this small but important nuance: whether you have any third-party services connected. They are the ones who can withdraw all your money from your account. To check this, use the Internet Assistant.

    Let's take a more specific look at what the call tariffs are on our tariff plan. Please remember that prices are shown without taking into account additional options that optimize the tariff.

    Prices per minute of conversation in the Super MTS tariff plan

    1. Calls to other MTS users within the Moscow region (that is, local):

    • the first 20 minutes are free;
    • starting from the 20th minute - 1.5 rubles/min.

    2. Calls made to other operators - 2.5 rubles/min.

    3. Calls to a landline phone within the Moscow region (including Moscow):

    • the first 20 minutes are free;
    • starting from the 20th minute - 2.5 rubles/min.

    Essentially speaking, you need to remember the main thing: calls to local MTS users and to landline phones located within the Moscow region (including the capital) will be free for you for the first 20 minutes. But do not forget that you will have to pay for calls to users of other operators from the very first minute of the conversation. This tariff is an excellent solution for budget-conscious people who do not want to spend a lot on communication services due to the fact that they rarely use them.

    Cost of sending messages on the Super MTS tariff

    1. SMS to local MTS subscribers - 2 rubles.

    2. SMS to subscribers of other operators - 3.8 rubles.

    3. SMS to international numbers - 5.25 rubles.

    4. MMS - 6.5 rubles.

    Super MTS tariff - what's the catch?

    Compared to current tariffs, which have a fixed subscription fee and include minutes and SMS, Super MTS turns out to be quite expensive. Therefore, such a tariff plan is only profitable when you spend your minutes sparingly. If you enable the additional function " Zero on MTS", then you will be given 200 additional minutes per day to communicate with subscribers within the network.

    If you regularly send SMS or make calls, you can enable auxiliary options that will make the cost lower:

    1. “Call for free to MTS Russia 100”. Provides 100 minutes of free calls to all home network subscribers, regardless of their region of residence. This service also includes free calls to local landline numbers.

    2. "Profitable calls". Makes it possible to call other operators in the Moscow region (and Moscow) for 75 kopecks per minute. It's relatively inexpensive.

    3. "SMS Smart Package". Provides 10 free SMS per day.

    Do not forget that such services are provided for a fee. Please take this into account immediately before ordering them.

    How to switch to the Super MTS tariff?

    If you decide that this tariff will be more profitable for your wallet, then you need to do one of the following:

    1. Dial *888# and press the call button.

    2. Use the Internet Assistant service.

    3. Contact a communication shop for help.

    You can switch to the Super MTS tariff absolutely free if you changed your tariff plan more than 30 days ago. If you do not belong to this category, then changing the tariff will cost 150 rubles, 50 of which will remain in your account, you can use them freely.

    How to disable the Super MTS tariff?

    To cancel this tariff plan, follow one of the tips below:

    1. Switch to some other tariff using the USSD command.

    3. Contact the MTS office (but in this case, be sure to take your passport with you).

    The telecommunications operator MTS has long held a leading position in the competitive segment, thanks to the release of modern tariff offers and additional options. The closure of MTS tariffs is carried out solely to maintain high quality of service and provide customers with the best conditions for everyday use. A well-thought-out notification system allows you to provide users with timely information about the closure or transfer of a specific solution.

    In this material we will look at:

    • the main reasons for changes in existing TP lines;
    • current options that are in demand;
    • the pros and cons of such a policy for clients;
    • what happens when archival tariffs are eliminated.

    The operator notifies its customers about possible changes in TP lines through the news section of the official website or in the My MTS mobile application. This is relevant mainly in the case of transferring a certain tariff to the archive. News materials also contain information about current offers for everyday use. There are also options for completely removing a specific offer from the database; in this case, the client is forced to transfer to a new TP, in accordance with the terms of the concluded service agreement.

    Why are MTS tariff plans being closed?

    “Why are MTS tariffs being closed?” – a popular question among existing subscribers, to which there are several answers:

    1. High competition makes it necessary to rebrand and completely rework some existing offers. This may apply to both certain regions and the entire service area of the telecommunications operator;
    2. a large number of active tariffs create a certain difficulty for customers, complicating the choice for everyday use. This factor also negatively affects the operation of the operator’s technical equipment.

    Closing of archived MTS tariffs

    The closure of archived tariff plans is accompanied by their complete removal from the operator’s database, and, accordingly, the impossibility of further use. This makes it necessary to force a migration to the new option for everyday use. The client is notified in advance by phone or in the form of an SMS message, which makes it necessary to independently study the current options with and without a subscription fee. Such subscribers are often offered more favorable conditions. It is recommended to switch to a new TP in advance.

    Bad or good?

    Tariffs for MTS are being closed, how does this affect ordinary customers? Without this process, the development of a telecommunications operator will be impossible, which makes the process natural for any mobile communications provider. The benefits of switching for the client are as follows:

    • improving the quality of service;
    • reduction in monthly payment;
    • the ability to use new additional options;
    • participation in special offers and receiving a discount as compensation.

    The negative side lies in the need to independently study the current situation on the operator’s market and choose an option for further service.

    What to switch to?

    It is very important to study the current offers and choose the appropriate option to use. Among TPs with a subscription fee, the “Smart” line occupies an active position, capable of satisfying the needs of both economical and demanding customers. “Super MTS” boasts that there is no monthly fee, the cost of monthly service will depend solely on your needs. A detailed list of specifications is located on the corresponding page of the official website with the ability to select a specific service region.

    Should we expect the closure of other tariffs?

    As stated earlier, the operator notifies its customers in advance of all possible changes in the current line of TP. This way you can be informed in advance of the need to switch to a new tariff for further service.
