• Best deals for iphone. Best apps for iPhone X

On September 12, Apple showed the iPhone X, the flagship that will “define the development of the smartphone market.” While waiting for the device, Mobiguru editors have selected a dozen suitable applications

    Professional photo app LIPRO

The top-end iPhone is equipped with a 12-megapixel dual camera, a combo of wide-angle and telescopic lenses, True Tone Quad-LED flash and 10x digital zoom. Do you feel the power? This monster needs a photo app for the pros, like LIPRO. LIPRO is an excellent photo editor that has a ton of settings and templates to improve photos taken on the iPhone X. The application can “develop” RAW images, work with curves and levels (like in Photoshop) and adjust the focus of the photo.

    Updated Yandex.Maps

One of the innovations of iOS 11 in general and iPhone X in particular is support for augmented reality. Yandex prepared for the release of new iPhones and updated its main mapping application. For example, the navigation mode allows you to navigate in place using virtual lines drawn on the surrounding landscape. Now you don’t need to turn the map to understand where the north is and where you need to go, and you don’t need to be afraid of being hit by a car while being distracted by your smartphone.

Alas, the new function does not work on all iPhones - on some the hardware does not allow it. But owners of iPhone SE, 6s and newer devices can rest easy.

    Photo app Clips

The second program, the new functions of which are based on augmented reality. In the proprietary Clips application, developed by Apple, you can also make short videos with text and other effects. In addition to the standard set of functions, Selfie Scenes has appeared, based on AR technologies. Now the user can shoot a selfie video by placing his loved one on an extraneous background - a forest landscape, space or desert. It turns out such a simplified chromakey at home - you only need a smartphone and an application.

    Star Atlas Star Discovery Starglobe

The most stylish use of AR on the new iPhones is stargazing. It's very easy to use - point the camera at the night sky, and the program automatically draws the outlines of constellations in the sky.

    Video broadcasts from space

The application allows you to visually appear on the ISS at any time, look at the old Earth from a height of several tens of thousands of meters, and even touch the life of the astronauts (there is a camera inside the station). You can also see on the map where the ISS is currently flying and try to see your city from space.

    Meditation app

An application that helps you achieve victory over fears, stress and worries through meditation. It's simple - there are several breathing exercise modes to choose from that can be activated anywhere. It's nice to find a moment at work, at home or on a trip to calm down and put your thoughts in order under the guidance of a virtual coach.

    Translator iTranslate

With the help of a translator, you can establish contact with any foreigner and improve your language skills. You just need to point your smartphone at a speaker of a foreign language, the system will translate his speech into Russian. Naturally, the program also works the other way: say something into the microphone and the app will translate your response into Arabic, Chinese, Czech, Danish, English, German, French or Italian. The application is available exclusively on the iOS platform.

    Habit Manager Morning Routine

An application that helps you effectively complete small daily tasks, without forgetting about important and larger ones. It works like this: you make a list of your worries (brush your teeth, walk the dog, do exercises), and when you complete them, the timer starts. The program will limit your time and prevent you from being distracted by trifles.

    Desktop wallpaper managerola

Finally, an application with a huge database of free images. There are photographs of animals, landscapes, pictures from space, pictures with patterns and other potential wallpapers for your iPhone desktop. Since the brightness and quality of the iPhone X display is high, it would be a sin not to put a high-quality image taken by a professional photographer on it.

2016 is rapidly approaching the end, which means it’s time to take stock. For example, the results of the year in the App Store. In this collection, we recall the best applications for iPhone and iPad that have been released over the past 12 months. There weren't many of them, but they were all pure gold.

    Prisma, free.

Prisma is a unique application for processing photos and videos in various artistic styles. It is unique for the reason that the processing is not carried out by already boring filters, but by neural networks. Using their algorithms, they re-draw a photo or video in the style of one of the famous artists, for example, Picasso or Van Gogh.

What is most striking about Prisma is not even the originality of the images that emerge after processing, but the fact that it is almost impossible to remain dissatisfied with the result. As the Prisma slogan says, the application can turn any photo into a real masterpiece. For its uniqueness, Prisma was awarded the title of best iPhone application of 2016 by Apple. We couldn't agree more.

    ImgPlay, for free .

ImgPlay is an application that allows you to make GIF animation from any type of content captured on an iPhone or iPad. ImgPlay will turn an existing video, a series of photos, and even “live” photos that users didn’t like into animation.

The application rightfully bears the title of the best GIF maker for iPhone and iPad. It is extremely easy to use, while having a huge number of settings that make it possible to personalize the animation as much as possible. After the release of iOS 10, ImgPlay quickly received support for iMessage. Thanks to this, sending “GIFs” to friends in a regular messenger has become much easier.

    Living Earth, RUB 299.

Living Earth is the best weather app of the year. It presents stunning 3D images of our planet, providing all the most important weather information. At the same time, the Living Earth interface is not at all overloaded, which allows you to get acquainted with the forecast for the desired hour or day without any delay.

Living Earth will also please users who don’t particularly care about graphic design. It will do this using an informative widget for the “Today” screen and a temperature icon directly on the home screen. Thanks to these features, you can find out the weather forecast without even going into the application itself.

    MSQRD, free.

MSQRD is a real hit of 2016. The application allows the user to put various masks on their face in real time, for example, a tiger, a monkey or even an alien. Each mask fits perfectly to a person's face as if by magic, creating a truly transformative experience.

By “wearing” the mask using MSQRD, the user can record a short video or take a photo to later save or send to friends. The worldwide popularity of MSQRD was also not ignored by Apple. This unique application was included in the list of the top ten in the past year.

    MuseCam, free.

For photography fans, a lot of great apps were released in 2016. One of the most notable of them was MuseCam - a full-fledged replacement for the standard “Camera” and an advanced photo editor in one bottle. MuseCam allows you to fine-tune your camera while shooting, allowing you to change focus, white balance, ISO and many other parameters.

When the shot is taken, MuseCam reveals itself as a photo editor. Numerous professional tools and truly unique filters allow you to bring your photo to perfection without the need to use other applications.

    Good morning, free.

Good Morning is a free smart alarm clock that actually works. The application analyzes the user's movements during sleep using the accelerometer built into the iPhone or iPad and determines the current sleep phase. Having all the necessary information, “Good Morning” wakes up a person exactly during the light sleep phase, when it is easiest to wake up.

In addition to its main goal, Good Morning monitors statistics, on the basis of which it provides advice on improving the quality of your sleep. For people who want to get serious about getting enough sleep, Good Morning is the perfect companion.

    for free .

And one more unique, and most importantly - free tool. PhotoScan is a printed photo scanner from Google. The application allows you to digitize a printed photo using the iPhone camera in a matter of seconds and subsequently save it in the device’s memory for future use.

PhotoScan doesn't just photograph an old photo, it creates an improved digital copy of it. A special technology performs framing automatically based on angle recognition. As a result, scanned photographs have a correct rectangular shape with corrected perspective. In simple terms, PhotoScan actually creates digital images from printed images. Real magic!

BOOM: player for VKontakte music, free.

Despite the popularization of music streaming services, a huge number of Russians still prefer to listen to music from their collection on the VKontakte social network. And at the beginning of 2016, they had, probably, the ideal iOS application for this. BOOM provides the easiest and fastest access to both personal VKontakte audio recordings and music from friends and subscribed groups.

Moreover, BOOM, in the best traditions of streaming services, shows personalized recommendations and notifies you about new music releases. The picture is complemented by the widest functionality - the ability to save music for listening without the Internet, a convenient and multifunctional player, an equalizer and many other pleasant functions.

    Radar detector info, 169 RUR.

“Radar Info” is a must-install application for all car enthusiasts. As the name suggests, the app is a radar detector that monitors various types of cameras, tripods, and speed limits. And these are not just words, “Radar Detector Info” works, and does it like an expensive physical radar detector.

"Radar Info" does not require an Internet connection and works perfectly together with other applications. The latter is extremely important for such applications, since they usually severely limit the capabilities of the iPhone.

    for free .

Developers from Microsoft also pleased iPhone and iPad users in 2016. Their new Microsoft Pix Camera app is based on powerful algorithms that operate in a fully automatic manner. The “smart” system itself, right at the moment of releasing the shutter, selects the best settings for a particular frame, as a result of which the resulting images are almost always excellent.

You can install many programs on your Apple smartphone. The App Store contains millions of different applications. If you want to use your iPhone 100%, then install on it those that we will talk about in this article. So, the top ten applications for iPhone.

    Navigation

Evernote, a note-taking service, made a lot of noise back in the day. With its help you can take not only text but also multimedia notes. You can save photos, videos, maps, and other information in your notebook and return to it periodically as needed.

Evernote is a cloud service. This means that you can leave notes in it from various devices (desktop PC, tablet computer, laptop and other devices). Unfortunately, since July 2016, this free service allows you to use it only on two devices. But even in this case, Evernote is one of the best services in its segment. Be sure to install the iOS version of this application in order to use important information stored on your iPhone cloud.

This great app makes it easy to save the information you need in just two clicks. But, if the capabilities of the free version of Evernote are not enough for you, there is always an alternative. For example, services Google Keep or Pocket.

Thus, Evernote can be used as an alternative to delayed reading services like Pocket.

    VLC

Many people use third-party products to view video files on their iPhone. This is understandable; Apple's standard video player is far from perfect. Its main disadvantage is the inability to play the most popular .avi format. How can I replace the pre-installed video player from iOS? Of course, one of the most popular free apps in the App Store is VLC.

VLC player is familiar to many people from the desktop version of this program. It is capable of playing many video formats. In addition, this player does not have complicated settings. This allows it to be used by those who do not want to spend a lot of time playing their favorite video or movie in the best quality.

And if you want to “hide” a spicy home video, then using this application you can password-protect the selected video and thus hide it from prying eyes.

Another application from the media section, which should be on the iPhone of all fans of films and TV series. Thanks to Air Video, you don’t have to download the new episode of “Silicon Valley” or “Game of Thrones” to your Apple smartphone. Thanks to this small utility, you can “stream” video content directly from your desktop PC.

Video transmission occurs via your home Wi-Fi network. At the same time, you do not need to sit next to the computer. You can go to another room. Installing the Air Video application will be a great solution for those who like to watch videos during lunch.

With Air Video, you don't have to convert your files to the format your video player can read. It is enough to install the client on a desktop device and send to its folder the file that needs to be played on the iOS device. Then we launch the application on the smartphone and enjoy the video.

The advanced version of Air Video HD costs 99 rubles.

Cloud services allow you to expand the capabilities of mobile devices. With the help of such network storage, you can “connect” additional memory to your iPhone. One of the most convenient alternative clouds for Apple devices is Dropbox.

You can always install the client of this service for your desktop PC and by simply dragging files into it you can soon open them on your smartphone. The only downside of Dropbox is that it only has 2 GB of free space. But, for a small amount of money, you can expand the space for your files. However, you need to know that this cloud service's competitors provide more space. U Google Drive- 15 GB in the free version, and OneDrive– 7 GB. If you plan to store a lot of photos and videos in the cloud, you may have to pay a monthly subscription.

    iBooks

It’s impossible to imagine modern smartphones without an app for reading books. With the iBook app, you can expand your bookshelf with e-books. In this application, books can be stored not only in the device itself, but also in the cloud. This will significantly increase the memory of your smartphone. Moreover, the iBook network storage will allow you to synchronize the reading process on several devices at once: iPhone, iPod or even Mac.

The application itself has a nice design and displays text perfectly. Many people consider it a disadvantage that this reader “reads” only two formats ePub And PDF. But, for reading all modern books, these formats are quite enough.

You can download books from your electronic library through the Safari browser. Just give it the address of the file (for example, your cloud storage) and save the book to your iBook. You can also buy the book either through the application itself or using iTunes.

Of course, it is impossible to imagine an iPhone without messenger installed. The most popular today are whatsapp And Viber. But the most rapid development is shown by the messenger from Pavel Durov Telegram.

This communication application has a number of advantages. First of all, this is safety. Telegram uses modern encryption that will hide your correspondence from prying eyes. Moreover, this messenger can be used with a very unstable Internet connection.

In addition to tet-a-tet communication in Telegram, you can create chats, channels and transfer files up to 1 GB in size to each other. In addition, we should note the stylish and laconic design of this application.

The Prisma app can easily be called a hit this summer. This photo processing program is built on specially trained neural network algorithms. Thanks to which Prisma can turn your photos into paintings by famous artists. Just open the photo, make a couple of touches and after a few seconds, this application will give you your photo, turned into an artistic masterpiece.

Now in Prisma you can create photo paintings based on 21 works of art: “Secant Line” by Kandinsky, “Go for Baroque” by Roy Lichtenstein, “Above the City” by Marc Chagall, “The Scream” by Edvard Munch and others. The creators plan to add new masterpieces one every month.

Almost all owners of Apple smartphones use email on their iPhone. As with the video player, the pre-installed email client in iOS has a lot of disadvantages. Fortunately, it can be replaced with several applications. The best one is CloudMagic.

This email client has a simple and sleek design. Even those who open this application for the first time will easily figure out how to work with it. If you actively use the capabilities of Evernote, Trello, Pocket or other services, then this email client will significantly simplify your life.

    Yandex.Maps

The most popular kratographic services on the Internet are Yandex and Google Maps. Which application to install on your iPhone is up to you. But in our country, the service from the main Runet search engine, Yandex, is more popular.

Using the Yandex.Maps application, you can not only find out how to get to the address you need, but also understand what is happening on the roads and how to avoid traffic jams. The application supports both driving and walking routes. Among other things, you can use Yandex.Maps even without an Internet connection.

    Filmic Pro

Of course, we can't finish our review of ten essential iPhone apps without one that lets you make great videos. Apple developers pay special attention to the camera of this smartphone. But even the most powerful camera will not be able to help you take pictures without the proper software.

The Filmic Pro app allows you to make a high-quality movie on your iPhone. The only disadvantage of the application is its high price. Before installing this program, you will have to fork out 749 rubles. But, it's worth it.

The developers have provided this application with many goodies. Here you can select the effect you need, activate picture stabilization and the level of recorded sound, select the required frame rate, slo-mo and many other effects.

The interface of this application provides easy access to all controls. And thanks to synchronization with Dropbox, the captured video can be immediately sent to the cloud for further work with it.

Video. TOP 20 applications for iPhone! The best from the AppStore!

    Programs “for every day”

Tweetbot  - the best client for the social network Twitter. On Twitter I read news and communicate with people; I rarely express personal thoughts. I use Tweetbot out of habit. To be honest, the native Twitter client for iOS has already grown to the point where third-party clients can no longer be used. But for now I hesitate to delete Tweetbot, because it is also updated in a timely manner.

Instagram  - as banal as it may be, Instagram remains my favorite program. I post a large number of photos on Instagram, but I myself follow a minimum number of people, periodically subscribing and unsubscribing from them.

VSCO Cam  - Recently I’ve been using this application to process photos on Instagram. At first glance, it’s an ordinary program. But if you dig deeper, it’s probably the most sophisticated program for processing mobile photos. There are a lot of filters and settings. I recommend it to everyone.

Snapseed  - before VSCO Cam appeared, I processed all photos with this program. If your imagination is not limited only by choosing a photo filter, and your hands are eager to experiment, then with the help of Snapseed you can create interesting effects on photos.

Viber  - 90% of my mobile communication occurs through Viber. First, it has a desktop client for Mac. Secondly, Viber supports free calls over the Internet. Yes, but this application has shortcomings in connection stability and interface. But a large number of people with whom I communicate through this application do not allow me to delete this “messenger”. To be honest, I receive so many messages and calls on Viber every day that I sometimes start to hate it.

I write all notes in the program Simplenote. I have been looking for a long time for a simple program for taking quick notes that can work on different operating systems. I recommend Simplenote to absolutely everyone. The program syncs notes from device to device and works on Android, iOS, Windows and Mac. If the heaviness of Evernote doesn't suit you and you want to find a lightweight program for quick notes on any operating system, Simplenote is the best option.

Calendar. Where would we be without him? To maintain a calendar linked to Gmail, I use the program Sunrise. This client works great with Google Calendar and has a better design. Before this, I used iCal. It’s also an excellent calendar, and a client for Android has recently appeared.

The Best Money and Finance Apps for iPhone

I manage my personal budget in the program CoinKeeper. At the time of iOS 6, this program had no equal in ease of use. Recording income and expenses by dragging coins from one category to another turns a tedious process into an exciting game. Unfortunately, the developer never adapted the application for iOS 7. Therefore, the program interface slightly stands out from the crowd, but this does not make the program any worse. CoinKeeper is also available on Android.

Next app for working with money Privat24. Internet banking — this is perhaps the best thing that our country could come up with. Using Privat24, I pay all utility bills, top up my phone balance, make online purchases and transfer funds from card to card. After updating the interface to iOS 7, I fell in love with this application even more.

Qiwi I use the wallet to top up a virtual card in rubles. The thing is that my iTunes account is registered in Russia, so I have to buy everything in rubles. However, I would have given up Qiwi’s services a long time ago, and recently I’m not the only one dissatisfied with the service’s performance.

    Cinema and TV

If you are a TV series lover like me, be sure to download the app. iTVShows. This is the best TV series library with next episode schedules. The program sends push notifications about the release of a new episode of your favorite series and shows how many episodes and seasons are left until its end.

I find all the information about new and old films in the app. KinoPoisk. I especially like to watch trailers on KinoPoisk. (Photo — Neighbors on the warpath)

To track the schedule at the cinema in my city, I use the program Planet Cinema iMax  - You can buy a ticket through it.

There is another program that can no longer be found in the AppStore. It's called Series. This application is the mobile shell of the showsbox.ru website. It can be installed only by those who previously purchased the program and saved the installation file on their computer, or by those who have Jailbreak installed. The Series application contains almost all the best TV series; they can be downloaded or watched online, having previously selected the desired quality and translation. Plus, it works great with the Apple TV set-top box.

    Applications for office and work

To work with documents I use iWork-the best option for a mobile office. Thanks to Apple for this. It even happened that I wrote a review of a device on an iPhone in the Pages program.

During the Christmas holidays I was lucky enough to download the program for free Scanner Pro, the well-known company Riddle. Which office, by the way, is located in Odessa. Creating scanned copies of documents using a smartphone is another miracle of our time. Already this year, the Scanner Pro app has helped me out 4 times! The program is compatible with Evernote, Google Drive and Dropbox.

By the way, Dropbox also one of my favorite programs. The first thing I did was turn on auto-upload of photos from the photo gallery, and now everything I shoot is saved in the cloud, even videos. In this regard, Dropbox is an irreplaceable thing, because I often have to change smartphones, which are sent to us at RevolverLab for testing. I save all photos and documents from these smartphones to Dropbox. The only drawback of the cloud is the very small amount of space from the start (only 2 GB). I stayed on Dropbox because I have 53 GB there.

Despite the closedness of the iOS file system, you can still give free rein to your iPhone by installing a file manager. My favorite -  PhoneDrive. You can create folders, text files, voice notes and even playlists in it, and it supports viewing a huge number of files and formats. In addition, it has a built-in browser, with which you can download and immediately open any file. I use PhoneDrive as an audio and video player when I need to download music or a podcast that is not in iTunes.

There are many currency converters in the AppStore. My favorite -  Rates. It has a very user-friendly design and interface, and has a built-in calculator.

For learning languages I use LinguaLeo by learning new words every day. Of course, LinguaLeo performs best in the full browser version. But for vocabulary training, the mobile application is enough. And for time training, I recommend the free Pumpkin program to everyone. The application looks like a game of tic-tac-toe with a computer, only instead of crosses you need to answer questions correctly. A great way to improve your English skills.

I use several navigation programs in my car. If I travel far, from city to city, I most often use Navitel, for which I paid $89. Around the city most often Yandex Navigator. It perfectly monitors traffic jams and traffic conditions. When I need to find a specific address or name of an establishment, it helps me out 2Gis. This is the best city directory. Just click on any building and you can immediately see what establishments are located there, phone numbers and company operating hours. 2Gis has one drawback - not all cities are available in its catalogue.

New programs often appear on my smartphone. A separate “New” folder has been created for this purpose. But, as practice shows, they do not stay long. As you noticed, there are no games on my iPhone. I hardly play on mobile devices, except on the iPad.

In addition to iOS devices, I actively use Android. Stay tuned for a review of the best apps on my Nexus 5.

Halide is a professional camera with a simple design. The app has many options, from RAW format with manual focus and ISO to fully automatic JPEG mode. And switching from automatic to RAW mode is very simple. In addition, Halide is one of the few applications that uses “ears” on the sides of the notch. It shows information about the photo.

If you want to take great photos with your iPhone X camera, then you should start using Halide. Shoot in RAW format and then edit your photos.

    3. 1Password

1Password is one of the best password management apps. Here you can choose where your encrypted data will be stored (locally, on Mac, Dropbox or their service). The updated version uses , which greatly simplifies the process of entering passwords.

Now, when you launch 1Password, you don't need to do anything at all. Face ID will scan your face and authorize you into the app. The same applies to filling in passwords for third-party applications.

    4. Overcast

The Overcast app has once again changed the interface, but still has all the features that everyone loves so much: Smart Speed, Voice Boost and Smart Playlists. The app has been updated for the iPhone X and now takes up the entire screen.

    5. Apollo

Apollo is a new client for Reddit that has been in development for over a year. It is created specifically for iOS. The app looks good and is easy to use. It also has a dark mode.

    6. Pcalc Lite

Pcalc Lite is the best calculator. It's been updated for the iPhone X and looks incredible on the tall screen. It takes advantage of the rounded edges of the iPhone X, and the top is made black to disguise the notch.

    7. YouTube

The favorite app of millions has been updated for the iPhone X. By default, YouTube videos play full-screen with borders, but they can be stretched to take up the entire surface of the display. However, some of the content will be covered by a notch.

If you watch wide-resolution videos (like Marvel movie trailers), YouTube will automatically stretch them to fill the entire screen.

    8. Carrot Weather

Currently, Carrot Weather is the best weather app that has all the important information on one page. In it you can receive weather data in your region. In addition, you can customize all the data displayed on the page and select only those that interest you.

    9. Snapseed

Snapped is the best free photo editor for iPhone. We've included it on the list even though it hasn't been updated for the iPhone X. Even so, it works great. The application makes it very easy to import a photo, edit it and save the result. You can use the Tune Image function, which allows you to quickly change brightness, contrast, darkening/lightening, saturation, etc.

    10. Instagram

    11. Focos

Focus is a third-party application for editing portrait photos. If you like taking portraits, we recommend that you install this application. Portrait mode is great for capturing people, but pictures of objects aren't always perfect.

With Focus, you can choose which part of the frame to focus on. You can even change the intensity and type of blur. The "pro" version ($0.99/month) contains more blur options.

    12. Spotify

The best alternative to Apple Music has been updated for the iPhone X. Due to the fact that the application interface is dark, the notch is not visible at all.

    13. Workflow

The best app for automatic actions on the iPhone (which Apple even bought) has also been updated for the iPhone X. Now it supports the “drag and drop” function.

    14. Spark

Spark is the best free email app. The update brings more emails to the iPhone X thanks to its taller screen.

    15. Coinbase

If you want to invest in a cryptocurrency like Bitcoin, the best option is the Coinbase app. It has already been updated for the iPhone X. It has beautiful diagrams and design elements that stretch across the entire screen. The app allows you to buy bitcoins directly on your iPhone and takes a couple of minutes to set up.

    16. Snapchat

Snapchat has been updated to fit the screen resolution of the iPhone X. It's also one of the few apps to use TrueDepth camera sensors. With the help of new technology, masks look better and faces are better identified in videos.

    17. Reeder 3

Reeder 3 is the best RSS app for iPhone and it too has been updated to fit the iPhone X screen resolution. The best thing about it is the dark mode with white text. It is very convenient to read.

    18. Flipboard

If you want to read magazine style articles, download Flipboard. Due to the height of the iPhone X screen, more content began to be displayed. In addition, using the application on the iPhone X is convenient, since the new model is also controlled mainly by gestures.

    19.Instapaper

If you want to read offline, then Instapaper is for you. The new OLED display is especially pleasant to read. It doesn't have a real dark mode yet, but the dark theme looks good too. In addition, you can choose a font from several options.

    20. Vellum Wallpapers

If you're looking for some beautiful new wallpapers for your iPhone X, download Vellum.

    Bonus: Applications fromGoogle

Google has also released updates to its applications. But it’s immediately clear that the company didn’t bother with updates. In Maps, interface elements generally overlap with the Home indicator. Sometimes the icons on the bottom bar are impossible to interact with at all because they are so close to the indicator. It's very easy to accidentally close an app. Hopefully Google will fix this in the next update.

    Other updates

Many popular apps have also been updated for iPhone X. These include Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, Netflix, etc. The only change in them is support for high screen resolution, so there is nothing to write about them.
