• A4Tech Bloody V7 mouse - for games and more. Review of the A4Tech Bloody V7 mouse Beautiful and comfortable case

Bloody is a free and universal proprietary software with a number of unique settings for computer mice of the gaming line of the same name from the A4Tech company.

Significantly expands the capabilities and functions of the mouse, allowing you to improve coordination and enjoy the game at the same time.

    Main features:

    • various levels of game modes;
    • sensitivity calibration;
    • writing and sharing macros;
    • support for multiple devices;
    • management profile and much more.

Bloody is an indispensable solution for avid gamers and fans. The program is able to satisfy all the requirements of modern fans of computer games and, thanks to easy programming taking into account the features and style of the genre, provide the maximum level of comfort in the process.

Bloody allows you to select the localization of the interface during the first step of your installation. And since the Russian language is available, there should be no problems with mastering the program. As a last resort, the developers provide detailed instructions for their software, albeit in the English version.

You can download the Bloody driver program for the A4Tech mouse for free with activation in Russian using the official link to the site below, immediately after the description.

The main menu of the program provides a choice of one of four game modes of the device. Moreover, two of them will be completely free, and the second two will be paid with a test period of 1000 shots to understand how it works and make a decision on a possible purchase in the future.

    Level options in Bloody:

    1. Core1 for RPG and real-time strategy games, suitable for FPS. Minimum device response latency is maintained. The sensor resolution is indicated and simple typical actions are assigned to the keys.
    2. Core2 for first person shooters. More settings options appear. In particular, you can program additional buttons for single, double, triple and quadruple shots.
    3. UltraCore3 for challenging FPS, headshot. An expanded version of the first mode, even more possibilities. Changing the configuration to suit the weapon in the hands, adjusting the accuracy of fire with automatic recoil suppression, concentrating shots, as well as the Macro macro recording system.
    4. UltraCore4 for role-playing and massive online games. An unusual Combo macro recording system, specially adapted for these genres. Setting the sensor resolution and response of the main keys.

Downloading the Bloody software + activation of Core 3 and Core 4 is recommended for mouse owners in order to configure it for gaming as professionally as possible.

With modes like this, Bloody will help gamers realize the full potential of their gaming mouse, giving them the chance to tailor all the features to their liking. Including adjusting the behavior, type and brightness of the backlight or turning it off completely.

It is worth noting that macros can be saved in separate files to facilitate transfer to another computer or use in another profile.

The A4Tech Bloody V7 mouse is distinguished by great functionality and high accuracy thanks to the built-in 3200DPI optical sensor. The new generation device is designed for the most demanding players and is able to provide the best control comfort due to its convenient housing. Additionally, the case contains 8 programmable buttons.

    Beautiful and comfortable case

The body of the A4Tech Bloody V7 gaming mouse is made of expensive ABS plastic, which has high strength characteristics and can withstand long-term mechanical loads. The body shape is specially selected to provide the best comfort for any grip. There is a special protrusion on the side for the thumb, which reduces palm strain and increases aiming accuracy. The weight of the mouse with wire is about 148 grams, while the overall dimensions are 120 mm x 80 mm x 42 mm.

    Automatic recoil suppression (sold separately)

The A4Tech Bloody V7 professional mouse is equipped with a special system for automatic recoil suppression during fire. Thanks to this system, the user can get high-quality aiming during automatic shooting. Additionally, the suppression system can be calibrated via the mouse control panel.

    High sensitivity optical sensor

The V7 has an optical sensor with the maximum supported resolution - 3200DPI. With a polling rate of 1000Hz, the mouse is able to provide the highest comfort while gaming on any mouse pad. The acceleration of the device at maximum activity is 30G. The touch device is protected by a special protective glass. The latest version of the software contributes to better and more accurate optical performance.

    Five resolution modes

On the V7 mouse, the user has the option of manually changing the sensor resolution mode. Thanks to this function, you can accurately select the most optimal system parameters, which will help increase the quality and comfort of the game.

    Eight programmable buttons

The V7's programmable buttons are positioned to accommodate any professional grip. The main keys are mounted centrally in the body, with additional buttons on the sides of the mouse. Each of the buttons can be programmed to perform individual user functions. Programming is carried out through the official mouse software. Smooth button clicks and lightning-fast response times provide the best, most precise control possible.

    Built-in chip with 160Kb memory

Thanks to the built-in 160KB internal memory chip, the mouse is able to store all the settings and user commands that are necessary to ensure high gaming performance. The presence of internal memory can significantly speed up the exchange of data between the mouse and the computer.

    Protected optical cable

To connect the mouse, a built-in double-braided USB cable is used. An increased degree of protection is necessary to ensure high reliability and durability of the device. The cable length is 180 cm, while the braid is made of high-strength fabric.

Or the keyboard is a no-brainer. Instead, new problems arise: how to choose the best one from all the variety? The Bloody V7 mouse from A4Tech is a pretty good model.

    Series

A4Tech has long specialized in the production of such devices. The Bloody series in particular has become the best for many. It includes almost 30 models, which are practically not repeated in appearance, although they have similar features. To understand that we have a Bloody mouse on the counter, just look at the palm section. This is where the red logo of the family is hidden, which is also illuminated in blood red during operation.

The series includes both ordinary black mice with small red elements, and bright ornate models. It’s immediately clear that all Bloody manipulators are designed for playing shooters, although in fact they are suitable for all gaming projects. The mouse we are reviewing is the simplest and most inexpensive, although this does not cease to be an excellent “fighter”.

    Package

Where does our Bloody V7 mouse start? Of course, from the packaging. Often it is for such subjective reasons that the buyer makes a choice in favor of one model or another. Some people liked the simple box, others preferred bright and eye-catching printing.

Before us is a black and red package that has a hinged lid. Our “fighter” is hiding behind the door. Everything around is colorful and “screaming.” The main advantages, screenshots from games and other technical information are described inside. The Gun3 subfamily, which includes our manipulator, is indicated on the front.

There's nothing fancy inside the box. As usual, there is a disk with software; no drivers are needed for the device. The system automatically finds the controller and establishes synchronization with it. For the Bloody mouse, we have prepared a number of documentation with various information, there are stickers with the logo of the series and the manufacturer, Teflon legs in reserve, which is especially nice, and a cloth for cleaning the device.

    Appearance

This model is one of the calmest in the series. Therefore, if you do not need skulls, bright glowing lightning bolts, neon inserts and other frills, then this option is ideal. The body is made in black. The plastic is high quality, with soft-touch surface elements. The bottom is glossy.

The mouse can hardly be called weighty, but it is not light, like many cheap Chinese analogues. 150 grams are felt in the hand, but do not make the work heavier. It’s worth saying right away that this option is suitable exclusively for right-handed people, which is immediately evident from the shape of the case.

The palm section reminds us that this is a Bloody mouse. There is a family logo here, which lights up red when you connect the mouse. The sides of the device are somewhat concave and fit perfectly into the hand. There's even a thumb rest on the left, above which there are two more control buttons.

There is a wheel between the right and left mouse buttons, which, by the way, is also highlighted. Moreover, it can do this in different colors, depending on the mode. The wheel turns red, green or yellow. To adjust the modes, you need to press the buttons under the wheel.

There are four Teflon feet on the bottom of the manipulator. They have a fairly wide area. In the middle there is a sticker with service information and a sensor eye, which is protected from dust and dirt. Its maximum resolution is 3200 dpi.

The A4Tech Bloody V7 mouse cable also turned out to be good. At the base there is a special red rubberized insert so that stretch marks or fractures do not occur here. The wire has a fabric braid with red and black elements, which complements the style of the mouse. Despite the strong and dense cable, it remains soft and does not bend anywhere.

On the reverse side of the wire there is a red USB connector. It also has the family logo.

    Options

We have before us the Bloody V7 gaming mouse, which is in the middle price segment. Of course, for some it will seem expensive, but most gamers understand why it is so expensive.

The model has a wired interface, it only works when connected to a PC via USB. Has an optical LED sensor, sampling frequency 1000 Hz. The operating speed is only 75 inches per second. The controller has a built-in memory of 160 KB. There are 7 buttons and a wheel on the body. Theoretically, a mouse can last 5 million clicks. The click delay is only 1 ms, which again leads us to the fact that this is a gaming mouse.

    Setup and management

How to configure the Bloody V7 mouse? This is a common question after purchasing such a device. Not everyone knows that this is easy to do. You just need to install proprietary software. The program is simple and understandable. Has a user-friendly interface. Unfortunately, not all available options are free for the user. Thus, you can configure each key to perform a specific action, adjust the functions of the left button, control the sensor resolution, and set the condition under which automatic scenarios are activated.

In paid mode there are many more possibilities. Here you can install macros that make the game easier and more comfortable. Thanks to these modes, the controller's actions are fine-tuned. Such macros can be downloaded or installed from those offered.

Thanks to them, you can adjust the weapon: suppress recoil. Tangibly improve responsiveness and movement, soften clicks, etc.

    Testing Bloody Gun3 V7

The operating modes of the mouse are controlled by the bundled software, when installing which you need to select the model of the manipulator.

Selecting Bloody Gun3 V7 in software installation

We looked at the capabilities of the “rodent” control panel in our review, so let us just remind you that only two mouse modes are completely free.

Selecting the active core of Bloody Gun3 V7

You will have to pay extra for functions such as support for creating, saving and loading macros into memory, recoil suppression and adjusting shooting accuracy, and unlocking costs $20 at the time of testing. Of course, everyone determines the need for such functionality for themselves - this is nothing more than an additional “delicacy” to a good device.

Buttons for changing modes Bloody Gun3 V7

The build quality of this model is good, the click of the keys is very clear, and the responsiveness of both the buttons and the LED sensor is excellent.

    Bloody Gun3 V7 in hand

We also note a very long wire - 180 cm will be enough wherever the system unit is located.

    Wire Bloody Gun3 V7

In general, the device is well made, and even out of the box, without any programs, it may well please the owner. And if you pre-configure the mouse in the control panel, then all settings will work on another PC. After all, the peculiarity of this series lies precisely in the presence of an internal memory of 160 KB for such a case.

    Bloody Gun3 V7: summary

Price for Bloody Gun3 V7 amounted to approximately 1000 rubles in retail, and one cannot say that this is a lot for a good optical mouse with a high-resolution sensor, and subjectively, the accuracy of the sensor is not inferior to mid-range laser mice. Additional buttons allow you to expand the functionality through scripts, but the fly in the ointment is the fee for advanced functionality in the form of a macro editor and a recoil and scatter compensator. It cannot be said that there is an urgent vital necessity in acquiring a third mouse mode, but it can make life easier, and here everyone decides for himself.

    Pros of Bloody Gun3 V7:

    • Accurate sensor.
    • Internal memory of the mouse.
    • Good workmanship.
    • Anatomical shape.
    • Nice set.

    Cons of Bloody Gun3 V7:

    • No significant findings were found.

Guys. A4 is a cheap company, it’s not like Logitech or Microsoft, their scrolling (A4) is mechanical and with intensive use it flies after a month (in tanks, for example). But this can be solved, take it apart, drop a drop of alcohol into the scroll bellows, twist it, dry it and drop some silicone grease, it will help for a long time, believe me. And the main thing that attracted everyone to A4 is that I use scripts myself all the time. But now they are trying to get money for it.

I agree with the pros. class="smiles"> The biggest downside is the weight of the mouse. After a light logtech, the feeling that you are crawling with a stone on the mat is wildly inconvenient and you can’t even target bots with high speed and accuracy, something has to be excluded from this. Perhaps this is the fault of my habits, but for me this is a real stone. I spent one and a half grand not on a mouse, but on experience in choosing mice and understanding the importance of their weight. class="smiles">

      08/05/2013 at 23:24

good mouse! beautiful! but there is more than one fly in the ointment - a small spoon: the little finger scratches the carpet, but does not find a place; the other is larger (more like a cartload of organic fertilizer) - after 7 months of operation, the scroll wheel began to work abruptly and not always in the direction you were turning. infuriating! If I run out of nerves, I’ll see what’s inside her, or I’ll test her at 3000 G on the floor! but beautiful, bitch!!!

Our laboratory tested a new product from A4Tech - the flagship model of the Bloody series gaming mouse.

The Bloody V7 model comes in a colorfully designed cardboard box. The front wall of the box easily opens like a book cover, thanks to which a potential buyer can examine the mouse enclosed in thin transparent plastic and even try its body on his hand without violating the integrity of the packaging.

In addition to the manipulator, the delivery set includes: a special cleaning cloth, three sets of spare sliding pads on a self-adhesive basis, a pair of stickers with the Bloody series logo, a warranty card and a CD with proprietary software.

First of all, you should pay attention to one of the features of the Bloody V7 model - the possibility of a paid upgrade. For $20, the owner of the controller can activate the advanced control configuration (Core 3), which allows the use of macros and a number of additional gaming functions. However, you can purchase a manipulator with the Core 3 mode already activated - this is exactly the option that was provided for testing.

    Design

The Bloody V7 mouse has an asymmetrical body designed for right-handers. Its size will fit those with large palms. The eye is immediately drawn to the corners and chopped shapes, which give the manipulator a brutal look, fully consistent with the name of the series. It's gratifying that this does not come at the expense of ergonomics. On the left side of the case there is a recess with a support area for the thumb. Several small indentations are made on the surface of the recess for more reliable contact with the hand. On the right side of the case there is a protrusion for the ring finger, and below there is a recess for the little finger. Thanks to this, the mouse will be comfortable regardless of whether you prefer to control a pair of main keys and a scroll wheel with two or three fingers.

View of the mouse from the top panel

The top panel and the planes of a pair of main buttons are made of dark, soft-touch plastic with a matte surface. Between the panels of the main keys there is a wedge-shaped insert made of black glossy plastic, on which there are three buttons for selecting the firing mode (labeled “1”, “N” and “3”), as well as a scroll wheel. The V-shaped buttons arranged in a chain are made of dark plastic with a glossy surface. The wheel is made of matte translucent material and when the mouse is connected to the PC, it is illuminated from the inside. In the center, the outer surface of the wheel is edged with a rubber pad with V-shaped raised protrusions, which ensures reliable contact with the finger. On the left side of the case above the thumb groove there are two additional buttons.

    Recess with thumb rest
and two additional buttons on the left side of the case

For unhindered and smooth movement on the working surface, there are four wide Teflon-coated pads on the lower plane of the mouse body, each of which has an original shape.

Scroll wheel and buttons "1", "N" and "3"

The mouse is connected to the computer via a USB interface. The cable, enclosed in a red and black woven braid, is attached to the mouse body under the inner edge of the left button at a height of approximately 7 mm from the supporting surface. The cable length is 1.8 m - this is enough to reach the connectors of the system unit, even if it is installed under the table. Velcro tape with the Bloody series logo allows you to neatly collect excess cable. The connector housing with an embossed Bloody series logo is made of red plastic.

Attaching the cable to the mouse body

We should also talk about the optical sensor with Holeless Engine technology installed in this model. As with the V-Track sensors that A4Tech began implementing in its manipulators a couple of years ago, a vertically directed beam with a high luminous flux is used to illuminate the working surface. This design ensures high accuracy (the resolution of the Bloody V7 sensor declared by the manufacturer is 3200 cpi) and stable operation of the manipulator on a wide variety of surfaces - both smooth and uneven. A distinctive feature of Holeless Engine technology is its sealed design. The small (diameter slightly more than 3 mm) round hole through which the beam passes is completely covered by an external lens. This prevents dust and dirt from getting inside the mouse body. And if the outer surface of the lens becomes dirty, it can be cleaned in just one movement.

The USB connector housing is made of red plastic

    Small optical sensor hole
hermetically sealed on the bottom plane of the body

It is also interesting to note that this mouse has low power consumption: it requires 50 mA of current to operate, while most other pointing devices require 100 mA.

Velcro tape allows you to neatly collect excess cable

    First impressions

Well, it's time to connect the mouse to your computer. After a short pause, the scroll wheel and the Bloody series logo on the top panel of the manipulator light up. The mouse works without problems with the driver installed by the operating system by default. However, in order to gain access to setting up additional functions, you must install proprietary software from the supplied CD. We will deal with this a little later, but for now we will evaluate the ergonomics and “all-terrain” qualities of the manipulator.

The mouse body fits comfortably in your hand. The main keys have a short stroke and a well-chosen pressing force: they cannot be called tight, and at the same time, the likelihood of false positives is practically reduced to zero. The wheel is located in the usual place (under the extreme phalanx of the middle finger), and the rubber edging on its rim provides excellent grip. The ratchet mechanism is quiet and easy to operate, yet provides a crisp tactile feel for each scrolling step. Like most modern mice, the wheel also functions as an additional button.

Two additional buttons located on the left side of the case are easy to press with your thumb, and a small gap between them allows you to accurately find the one you need by touch. The only thing I can complain about is the rather loud click that accompanies pressing the main keys.

One of the indisputable advantages of this mouse is its unpretentiousness to the material and texture of the working surface. The sensor works reliably on the vast majority of “household” surfaces, including polished stone, varnished wood and painted metal, which are very treacherous for optical sensors. No less impressive results were obtained when used on various types of fabrics, including materials with short and long pile. So, if necessary, this mouse can be used without any problems on the armrest of a chair, a sofa cushion, and even on the floor - be it parquet, linoleum or carpet. There were not so many surfaces on which the sensor does not work at all - this is a mirror, as well as pure transparent glass and transparent plastic.

Thus, the “all-terrain” qualities of the Bloody V7 can be assessed as “excellent”, and not only from the standpoint of gaming mice, but also universal mice intended for use both at home and in mobile conditions. To be honest, this result was quite expected, given the fact that the optical sensor equipped with the Bloody V7 model is an evolutionary development of the well-proven V-Track.

    Additional features

Let's move on to the most interesting part - exploring additional functions. In order to gain access to all the settings of the manipulator, you need to install the proprietary Bloody3 utility from the supplied CD.

One of the features of this model is the ability to select different control configurations, which in the manufacturer’s terminology are called cores. There are three of them in total. The simplest - Core 1 - is designed to work with office and multimedia applications, as well as for real-time strategies and RPG games. In this configuration, the user can independently set the functions of the scroll wheel and each of the buttons of the manipulator.

The Sensivity tab of the Bloody3 utility provides the ability to quickly change the resolution in the range from 100 to 3200 cpi. The user can select up to three setting options (including with different values for the vertical and horizontal axis), which, after pressing the Apply button, will be saved in the built-in memory of the manipulator. To quickly switch between these settings, you need to double-click on the “1” button of the mouse - in this case, the scroll wheel backlight will begin to blink at a high frequency, and a scale will be displayed on the screen indicating the current value. The desired value is selected by rotating the wheel, and confirmation is done by pressing the “1” button.

The Bloody3 utility allows you to program the functions of the buttons and scroll wheel

Also in the Sensivity tab, you can select the desired bus polling frequency (125, 250, 500 or 1000 Hz) and response time to button presses.

In the Core 2 configuration, which is intended for FPS games, the function becomes available UltraGun3. Buttons “1”, “N” and “3” in this case are used to switch the shooting mode (respectively one, two and three shots in a row for each press of the left mouse button). The current setting is easy to determine by the color of the wheel: when mode “1” is activated, it is highlighted in red, “N” - green, and “3” - yellow.

In the Core 3 configuration, the user has at his disposal a customizable shooting function with recoil compensation ( Headshot), as well as the ability to create, load and edit macros.

Function Headshot allows you to program the rate of fire and the amount of sight shift after each shot. Perhaps some readers will have a question: why is this even necessary? The fact is that many modern FPS games provide imitation of the recoil of a firearm: after each shot, the sight moves up. As a result, in order to hit a target with several shots, the player must compensate for this displacement by moving the mouse in the opposite direction, which reduces the speed and accuracy of shooting. Function Headshot allows you to compensate for virtual recoil by automatically moving the sight after each shot to a specified distance. Thus, by selecting the settings for the weapon used, the player can significantly increase the accuracy of fire.

Window for setting parameters of the Headshot function

There are two basic modes for weapons with manual reloading ( Burst And Strafe) and one for automatic ( Machine). In modes Burst And Strafe You can program a cycle of up to five and eight shots, respectively, by setting the intervals between each pair of shots, as well as the amount of vertical and horizontal movement of the sight after each of them. In addition, there is an option to return the sight to its original position upon completion of the cycle. Mode Machine differs in that the value of the interval between shots is set immediately for the entire cycle.

Mode In game Allows you to change Headshot function settings directly during the game. When you double-click the button selected to invoke this mode (“N” or “3”), the wheel backlight begins to blink at high frequency, and a small window appears on the screen. By rotating the wheel you can change the interval between shots, and using the side buttons you can set the required displacement along the vertical axis. Entering changed data is carried out by pressing the button for calling the current mode.

To use the function Headshot, you need to switch the mouse to the Core 3 configuration and associate the activation of the desired shooting algorithms with the “N” and “3” buttons. For maximum convenience, it is possible to save settings, as well as load ready-made profiles for various games, types of weapons and screen resolution.

    Macro editor

As already mentioned, when Core 3 mode is activated, the function of creating, editing and loading macros is available. The corresponding tools are available in the tab Oscar Macro proprietary utility Bloody3.

It is important to note that data about the selected settings and modes are saved in the built-in memory of the manipulator. Thus, all changes made by the user (including the functions of controls and macro commands) will remain in effect, even if you connect the mouse to another computer - regardless of whether the Bloody utility is installed or not.

    Conclusion

Let's summarize. The list of advantages of this manipulator includes high build quality, a convenient body shape, an impressive appearance (especially in the twilight, beloved by many gamers), a durable and fairly long cable that does not create interference even with sudden movements. The range of control customization features available in the Core 3 configuration is capable of satisfying the needs and whims of even the most sophisticated gamers. Separately, it is worth noting the optical sensor, the design of which provides reliable protection against contamination and stable operation of the mouse on most surfaces found in everyday life.

Thanks to the ability to switch control configurations, this model can be easily adapted to the specific tasks performed and the needs of the owner. And this applies not only to games. Thoughtful ergonomics allow you to comfortably perform quite prosaic tasks such as web surfing, working with email and office programs, etc.

Thus, the A4Tech Bloody V7 is an excellent option for those who want to purchase a universal mouse that provides maximum comfort both in dynamic games and during everyday work with a PC. Since a significant part of the capabilities of this mouse is only available after activating the Core 3 configuration, we strongly recommend purchasing a mouse with this option, especially since the price difference with the basic version is not that great.

Currently, A4Tech is preparing to release the next model of the Bloody series, which will receive the V8 index. One of the distinctive design features of this manipulator is the Ultra-Sensitive Metal Feet sliding pads, made of a metal alloy.

The main disadvantage of the currently widespread Teflon pads is wear. With intensive use, their surface quickly wears off and becomes covered with scratches, which increases friction with the working surface and, as a result, the movement of the manipulator on many surfaces becomes more difficult. In addition, as the sliding pads physically wear out and their thickness decreases, the distance between the bottom plane of the mouse body and the supporting surface changes - and this can affect the stability and accuracy of the optical sensor.

According to the developers, Ultra-Sensitive Metal Feet metal linings are free of these shortcomings. They have high strength and resistance to mechanical stress, due to which, even with intensive use, their surface remains smooth for a long time and their thickness remains unchanged.

Not only future owners of the Bloody V8 will be able to appreciate the advantages of the new technology: sets of Ultra-Sensitive Metal Feet metal pads in red for various models of gaming mice will also be available for sale. Thus, everyone will be able to independently upgrade their manipulator.
