The mailbox of Santa Claus is a very necessary item for the New Year. Where can the kids put their letters and drawings if there is no mailbox? Freezer? Certainly an option, but very cold. Again, Grandfather Frost (each child has his own) should know what his child wants so much. Can be fun to build with your children with your own hands Mailbox Santa Claus. In the end, it is not difficult at all if you follow the instructions.
Materials for creating New Year's crafts:
- small shoe box
- scissors and/or utility knife
- self-adhesive paper or self-adhesive film for furniture
- shiny white paper
- cardboard gold and white
- glue stationery
- scotch
- cap
Let's create a Santa Claus mailbox with our own hands
Everything is extremely simple.
1. We find an empty shoe box of small size.
2. We cut out a neat hole for letters in the lid of the box with a clerical knife or scissors.
3. Making the mailbox red. How to make it red - there are several options.
- Self-adhesive furniture film is easy to cut out and gently stick on the box. It is necessary to stick it carefully, bit by bit, expelling all the bubbles, then the surface will be perfectly flat.
- self-adhesive paper is sold in stationery stores, it is also easy to remove the film and paste over the box
- paint the box red with acrylic paints or gouache.
Decorate the mailbox
4.
The box itself is ready, let's move on to decorating. From cardboard we make a belt of Santa Claus and a plaque. Most often it is a black belt with a gold plaque. But you can come up with colors yourself, because this is a magic mailbox. The main thing is that they do not merge with red, they are bright.
5. Glue the belt and plaque to the lid of the box. We hide the edges of the belt inside. We fix them inside the box with tape.
6. The next element of decor will be snowflakes. We cut them out of white shiny paper, as fantasy tells.
7. We glue snowflakes, decorate the box with a cap, better flashing.
In order to make a Santa Claus mailbox, we need:
Black pen
shoe box
paper knife
Scissors
wide tape
colored cardboard
shiny cardboard
PVA glue
Ribbon or braid
Black pen
Take an ordinary shoe box.
Cut the box in two with a paper cutter. Cut out the bottom of the box as shown in the photo. It will be rear end box.
The top of the box will be the front of the box. Cut a letter slot in it and cut off excess parts so that it fits well with the back.
Glue the two parts with wide tape.
Attach the front of the box to the blue cardboard, trace, cut, fold the cardboard and then glue it onto the box. Cover the entire box this way.
Cut the shiny cardboard into strips. Fold the strips in half. In order for the strips to fold beautifully in half, you need to put a ruler on the fold and draw something sharp over the fold.
Tape all the edges of the box with glitter stripes.
Tape the letter slot with white cardboard cut out in semicircles in the shape of snowdrifts.
According to the template, cut out all the details of the portrait of Santa Claus. Glue all the pieces onto black cardstock and cut everything together, leaving a small margin. With a black pen draw the eyes and mustache. Stick a picture of Santa Claus on the front of the drawer.
According to the template, cut out all the details of the bullfinch. Glue all the pieces onto black cardstock and cut everything together, leaving a small margin. With a black pen draw the eye, legs and envelope. Stick the bullfinch on the lid of the box.
Poke a hole in the back of the box with something sharp, thread the string through and tie it off. For this rope, you can hang a mailbox.
With something sharp, make a hole in the front wall and top of the box. Pass the ribbon through both holes and tie off.
Santa's mailbox is ready!
The New Year is coming. And all the children in this pre-holiday time are trying. Here it is ready, but where to put it? For this, Santa Claus mailboxes exist, all letters sent through them must be received and read.
Anyone can make such a box without much effort. Color options can be varied, like patterns and various additions. It is enough to show a little imagination and your baby will expect a surprise even more.

Everything is very simple, for this we need:Shoe box, clerical knife, PVA glue, wide adhesive tape, colored and shiny cardboard, scissors, braid or ribbon, frost business template, bullfinch and black pen.
We take an ordinary shoe box, small in size.
Cut it into 2 pieces with a utility knife. Cut out the bottom part, it will be the back in our box.
The top will be the front. We cut out a window for letters in it and cut off everything superfluous, for a good fastening from the back, we do not leave bumps.
With a wide tape tightly glue both parts of the box together.
We cut the shiny cardboard into strips, fold them in half. In order to do this beautifully, put a ruler on the fold and draw with a sharp object.
We glue the entire box around the edges with the resulting stripes.
Glue white cardboard around the letter slot, pre-cut in the shape of snowdrifts.
According to the template, we cut out all the details of appearance. We glue it on black cardboard and cut it all out together, be sure to leave a little space.
With a black pen, draw a mustache and eyes. We glue the portrait on the front of our box.
We cut out the details of the bird, stick it on black cardboard and cut it out, not forgetting to leave some space. With a black pen, finish the legs, eyes and letter. Glue it to the lid of the box.

And it is advisable to throw them not into an ordinary box, but into a magical one, which will definitely deliver your desires and “Wishlist” to the addressee. will show us how to make a Santa Claus mailbox with your own hands.
Mailbox for letters to Santa Claus
Today in the master class we will make a decorative mailbox, which is designed to collect letters with wishes for New Year. We will make it in red, which symbolizes not only these holidays, but will certainly bring success and all wishes from letters will come true.
To make a box, we need:
- wide sheets of red cardboard;
- acrylic white paint;
- various decor: snowflakes, beads, etc.;
- decorative lock;
- satin red ribbon 2 cm wide;
- glue with silver sequins;
- stencils with New Year's patterns;
- brush;
- ruler;
- pencil;
- curly hole punch-border;
- scissors;
- stationery knife;
- glue gun with rod.
First you need to draw and cut out all the parts from which the box will be made. All parts are made of rectangles that will be glued together, so we will simply make a cardboard box. Moreover, you will also learn how to make neat fold points from the master class, and creating such a miracle will not be difficult.
Four schemes will be presented next, with the help of which we will prepare all the details. The black lines in the diagrams are the places where the cardboard is folded, and the white ones mean that the cardboard will need to be cut along these lines or even cut off.
- Back wall
For the back wall of the box, we cut out a rectangle 27 x 24 cm in size. We retreat 2 cm from the edge of the side walls and the bottom and draw lines along the entire length. A square is formed in the middle measuring 25 x 20 cm. From the bottom we cut off small squares on both sides, which were formed from the intersection of two lines.
- Lid
For the lid, cut out a rectangle measuring 20 x 14 cm. From above, we retreat from the edge of 2 cm and draw a parallel line. We cut obliquely the corners of the resulting rectangle measuring 20 x 2 cm. We will glue this strip to the back wall and the corners will interfere with us if they are not cut off.
- front wall
For the front wall, we cut out a rectangle measuring 33 x 36 cm. Just like for the back wall, we draw parallel lines only on three sides, indenting 8 cm from each edge. From the bottom, where the white lines are drawn, you need to make cuts.
Now you need to make triangles from the lower extreme rectangles by cutting off the excess cardboard, as noted in the diagram. From above, we retreat from the edge of the cardboard 3 cm and draw a parallel line only on the central rectangle. On both sides, from the end of the line to the corner of the side rectangle, draw a line. cut off upper part which we no longer need.
Then, in the central rectangle, we retreat from the top edge of 7.5 cm, and on the sides by 3 cm and draw a rectangle measuring 14 x 1.5 cm. We cut a hole with a clerical knife under the ruler. This will be a slot through which you can throw letters.
Now we will make sure that it does not bend when bent. To do this, you need to hold the blunt side of the scissors under the ruler, pressing down along all the lines that are drawn on the cardboard parts. These concave lines will allow the cardboard to be bent without deforming.
All the details of the box are ready, now you just need to assemble them into one. We bend the part for the front wall so that the lines from the pencil are inside. Glue the triangles to the bottom rectangle so that they are on top. All walls should be right angles.
In the same way, we bend the part for the back wall. We glue all allowances 2 cm wide inside the already assembled workpiece so that their fold points coincide with the edge of all the walls.
It turns out here is such a box. Extra corners formed on top. We cut them along the edge of the wall.
We bend the edge of the lid 2 cm wide, and punch the other edge with a figured hole punch-border.
We glue the even edge of the lid inside the box to the back wall by 2 cm, that is, only along the width of the strip.
It turns out here is a box that remains to decorate.
We pick up a little white acrylic paint with a brush and quickly jerk the brush from the edge of the lid up. We do the same along the entire edge of the slot only in different directions. We also carry out pressing with a brush at the folds along the entire length of the sides. It looks like snow patterns.
With the help of stencils, we leave some New Year's patterns. Instead of stencils, you can draw snowflakes by hand, etc. Let the paint dry for a while.
We cut off a red ribbon 16 cm long, thread it through a metal decorative lock and glue the ends, folding the ribbon in half. Glue the ends of the tape in the middle of the openwork edge of the inside of the lid. Take measurements first. It is necessary that the lock hangs over the slot, and does not block it.
Now cut the ribbon 50 cm long and cut it in half. We glue one half on a tape with a lock, and the second parallel to it, only to inside front wall. You need to glue about 5 cm of tape. We take the long ends out and tie them into a bow so that no one steals the letters.
We decorate the top cover with snowflakes, beads and other decor, whatever you want.
Using glitter glue on the front wall of the box, draw ice patterns. Squeezing out the glue, you need to gently move your hand in the right direction.
With such a box for letters to Santa Claus, all wishes must come true!”

Hello dear colleagues and friends!
This master class is intended for children of school age. The idea of making a souvenir will be interesting for teachers and parents.
On the eve of the New Year, there is a cheerful preparation for the Christmas and New Year holidays all over the world. With the onset of winter, when fluffy snow falls, icicles on the roofs of houses sparkle, festive lights on the Christmas trees light up, we all begin to look forward to the gifts and surprises that Santa Claus is preparing for us.
Surely you have a cherished desire. But here's how to find out for the magical Grandfather what you dream of receiving as a gift? Of course, you can tell your parents, but .... And if you just take and write a letter to Santa Claus? And tell him in detail about your dream. Really, great?
And yet - it is very important not to forget about the rules for writing letters to Santa Claus: Imagine for a moment: he is alone, but how many of us are there? Whoa, how much! Of course, he has assistants: the Snow Maiden, the Snowman and others. But all the same, the letter should be short and meaningful, and we will leave essays and dictations for school. Don’t forget to be polite too: be sure to use the magic words “thank you” and “please.” And the most important rule: write only your cherished desire, do not be shy! Santa Claus will definitely do it. Do not repeat after a girlfriend or friend, invent and fantasize, do not be afraid! Santa Claus first of all fulfills sincere and honest wishes!
Where to send a letter?
Well, the last thing we need to know is the address of Santa Claus. The letter is ready, beautifully designed and packed in a smart envelope. It remains only to write the address and take the treasured message to the post office or throw it in a mailbox nearby the house. Here is the Russian address of Santa Claus - 162390, Russia, Veliky Ustyug, the home of the real Santa Claus. You can also send a message to Grandfather and to the address Email – [email protected] If you really want to, you can send a letter to Santa Claus (for example, if you want to show off knowledge in English), who lives in Lapland - Santa Claus, Arctic Circle, 96930, Rovaniemi, Finland. Write beautiful New Year letters for Santa Claus and remember that sincere wishes always come true!
Additional material prepared by Olga Boyko (Internet resources).
And you can make such a wonderful mailbox for collecting letters to Santa Claus.
Required materials, tools and fixtures: rectangular box, right size, thick corrugated cardboard (from boxes), a piece of white wallpaper, a primer (white acrylic paint), three-layer napkins for decoupage with a New Year theme, a glue stick, a thermal gun, acrylic varnish, decorative snowflakes made of foil and felt, contours and glitters for decoration, decorative braid, white satin ribbon 1 cm wide, brushes, scissors, ruler, simple pencil, stationery knife, awl. The photo shows the main materials.
Manufacturing sequence
1. Unfold the box and cover with a white acrylic primer 2-3 times.
2. Prepared napkins are pre-arranged on each side of the box according to your desire and creative imagination.
3. Glue the selected napkins, after cutting or cutting off the pattern and separating the white layers using the decoupage technique. If anyone is not familiar with this technique, I draw your attention to the fact that glue (PVA diluted with water 1: 1) or varnish (we use acrylic varnish immediately) is applied with a brush from the center to the edges over the drawing, which is previously applied to the work. It is better to use a flat brush made of synthetics. Let's dry.
4. After complete drying, it is necessary to cover for another 2 - 3 times.
5. On the front side of the future box at the top, cut a rectangular hole with a clerical knife, not forgetting the safety rules, after drawing it along the ruler (the size is up to you). Perhaps adults will do this work.
6. Work out the drawings with decorative contours and glitters.
7. Paste the lower elements of the box with white wallpaper, since the box will open at the bottom to extract the letters.
8. Make the bottom base and top cover of the future box according to the size of the box. Cut out of thick corrugated cardboard (from boxes) and paste over with white wallpaper.
9. Glue two pieces of 20 cm white satin ribbon 1 cm wide on the bottom cover.
10. Decorate the lids and the box with braid and snowflakes.
11. Glue on the bottom of the box satin ribbon 1 cm wide and 50 - 60 cm long, after making holes with an awl and passing a tape through them.
12. Glue the box. Glue the bottom and top cover, which we decorate with felt snowflakes and an inscription (print, cut with curly scissors, tint the edges).
13. The place of the joint when gluing the box and the contour of the slot for lowering letters are also decorated with braid.
14. Add finishing touch- decorative snowflakes sequins and felt snowflakes.
