    From December 1, 2018, a new service for selling smartphones by subscription will be launched in MTS communication stores. This is a new type of purchasing gadgets - the user receives a device at a big discount and will be able to exchange it for a new model every year. We'll tell you how it works further.

    Every year - a new smartphone

    Under the new program, you can take any Samsung smartphone for a 12-month subscription. In February 2019, the promotion will be extended to devices from Apple, Huawei and other manufacturers, and the subscription can be chosen for 24 months.

    As part of a subscription, the client does not have to pay the entire price for the product at once, but pays monthly for the smartphone. MTS makes a discount on the device - for 12 months the user will pay only half of the price of the purchased gadget. After a year, he will be able to exchange the device for a new model, continuing to pay for the subscription service.

    The service will be available to all MTS subscribers and is closely integrated with the user’s number: the monthly payment is debited from the mobile account along with the subscription fee for the tariff, while the user receives a 10% discount on communication services for the entire period of using the subscription.

    How the subscription service works


    The process of purchasing and paying for a smartphone subscription is simple:

    1. The user comes to the MTS salon and selects any Samsung smartphone.
    2. The specialist draws up a subscription agreement, which is provided by MTS Bank. He will immediately be told the monthly payment amount for the device along with the subscription fee for the MTS tariff plan.
    3. After 12 months, the user comes to any MTS store, returns his used gadget, chooses a new model and renews his subscription.

    Example: If you take a Galaxy Note9 in classic installments for 12 months with a tariff with unlimited Internet for 650 rubles, then the monthly payment for the smartphone and communications will be 6,482 rubles. When purchasing via subscription, the customer receives Note9 and a discounted data plan. Thus, he must pay 3,400 rubles per month.

    The client receives an up-to-date smartphone with a monthly payment that is half that of the classic installment plan. Also, unlike a loan, the user does not need to think about where and how to pay the monthly payment. Under the subscription program, payment is debited directly from the subscriber's mobile account.

    – What if I don’t want to change my smartphone in a year?

    – In this case, a very simple redemption procedure is provided. The user may not come to the MTS salon and not warn about his unwillingness to renew his subscription.     – If I bring a broken or scratched smartphone, will it be exchanged for a new one?

    – Smartphones in working condition are accepted for exchange – minor scratches and small chips are allowed. If the smartphone is in very worn condition, then to renew the subscription you will have to pay up to 30% of the cost of the smartphone being returned. The amount depends on the condition of the device, and the maximum amount of 30% will have to be paid only in cases where the device cannot be restored or is lost.

    – What happens if I decide to change operator?

    “Autopayment” can be configured for several numbers of the MTS mobile network at once. If you want your balance to always be in positive territory, then set up “Autopayment” based on a threshold: when the balance drops to a set amount, the account of the subscriber number specified when connecting will be automatically replenished.

    Example. You have set the threshold to 50 rubles. and the replenishment amount is 300 rubles. When the balance decreases to 50 rubles. or less, an amount of 300 rubles will be transferred from your bank card. to the personal account of the mobile phone you specified.

    To limit and control the expenditure of funds from your card, you can set a limit - the maximum amount that can be credited to your personal account from a bank card during the month. The default limit is RUB 1,000.
