When it fell into my hands, before reading the instructions I didn’t understand why I might need it, but soon everything became clear.
Megaphone GS1 is a gadget remotely controlled via SMS messages, which naturally has a GSM module on board. On this socket I found 3 indicators (power, GSM signal, power of the connected device), a connector for a temperature sensor, an M button to supply power to the connected device and a speaker. The kit included two screws, a screwdriver, the socket itself, instructions, a temperature sensor, and upon purchase you also receive a warranty card.
Why might the end consumer need it? Control power to a computer, fan, air conditioner, heater, water or floor heating systems, lawn watering, plants, lighting systems and others. You can use any other devices, however, the main point of the SMS socket, as I understood for myself, is climate control, only hence the price is 2539 rubles. Using Megafon GS1, it is possible to configure the daily operating schedule of the outlet, for example, from 9 am to 10 pm. During this period of time, it will allow you to increase/decrease the temperature in the room thanks to the heater/air conditioner. As soon as the SMS socket, using a sensor, notices the desired mark of 25 degrees (the temperature range is also adjustable), it immediately turns off, which means the power supply to the heating/cooling device is stopped.

The main control of the device is carried out using SMS commands. On the one hand, this is a definite plus, because it turns out that it can be controlled even from another city. On the other hand, because of them, the excessively long setup appeared. To find out the temperature, mode, and target temperature, you need to send the code #159#1#.
The built-in capacitor for SMS notification that the outlet was disconnected from the power turned out to be interesting. The socket itself looks decent enough, but the dimensions are a little large. There are three operation indicators on the front side: Power– availability of mains power supply, GSM– operation of the GSM module and OUTPUT– load control. Getting started:
We install the SIM card, turn the GSM switch to the On position and plug the device into a power outlet. If you do not turn the GSM switch to the on position, the connected load to the GSM socket will be turned on constantly. When you start the smart socket for the first time, the load will be turned off. During subsequent switching on and off from the 220 V network, the last state is remembered.
First, a command is sent to bind the main number, from which the smart socket will be configured and controlled, then you can set 4 additional numbers, from which it will only be possible to turn the load on and off; sending commands from unspecified numbers will naturally be ignored. For each command, a response will be sent about the state of the outlet and, if a temperature sensor is connected, then the current temperature.
