• Skyrim mod for changing the appearance of a companion. How to change the hairstyle of an autonomous companion without using the Creation Kit. Turn on Skyrim and start playing from your last save

    I described in detail how to make faces for your character in Dragon Age Toolset. Today I want to tell you how to change the faces of not only the main character, but also the companions and minor characters of the game (hereinafter referred to as NPCs).

    For this we again need DAToolset. Let's open it. Creating a new morph, for those who forgot: menu File > New > Morph. Now you need to choose a race and gender, and if, when creating a morph for your character, you gave preference to a certain character, then now you need to choose a race and gender based on the specified parameters. Simply put, if you want to change the appearance of, for example, Zevran, then you need to choose the race and gender (base) to match. That is, you need to choose EM (elf male), and so on. The base is selected here: Just in case, I once again give examples of deciphering database names.
    HM_UHM_BASE- man human (hm - human male);
    HF_UHM_BASE- human woman (hf - human female)
    DM_UHM_BASE- male gnome (dm - dwarf male);
    DF_UHM_BASE- female dwarf (df - dwarf female)
    EM_UHM_BASE- male elf (em- elf male);
    EF_UHM_BASE- female elf (ef - elf female)
    QM_UHM_BASE- qunari;
    KN_UHM_BASE- child.

    Another difference between creating morphs for NPCs and creating for the main character is that you can create/change the faces of not only people, elves and dwarves, but also qunari and children, but first things first.

    So! You have decided which character you want to change (below are several tables with the names of the characters), created his new appearance, the process itself is identical to creating a morph for the main character. If you have forgotten something, you can read my first training article again and refresh your memories))
    I want to create a new look for Anora, so I chose an HF base and sculpted her face. If anyone is interested, I show you a screenshot. Links to mods at the end of the article. " Useful links».

    Now both you and I have a question: “And under what name should I save the .mrh file?” There are two ways here: first name it as convenient and rename the final file later, or name the file correctly right away (look at the tables with names) and not bother with renaming after export. For now I'll just name the file " hf_anora", so as not to confuse the files. Saved .mrh in a convenient place (I keep a separate folder with many faces). We can say that the main path has been completed, all that remains is to force the game to see changed faces.

    Opening your file .mrh, if you accidentally closed it, or go to the “ 14. Export Setting" V " Object Inspector" Let's look: Export .mop file - False. Let it stay that way! The game perceives the appearance of NPCs only in the format .mor. Therefore, we are not touching anything here, I just wanted to inform you. In general, it should look like the screenshot below:

    Now you need to get from the file .mrh file .mor, that is, export it. But there is no need to rush yet, please read the information below.

    If in your title line Toolset written Single Player,

    then we simply export the file if it is written Demo Tutorial, then do the following: menu File > Manage Modules. A window will pop up, click on the line on the left Single Player, then the button on the right Open. Another window will pop up, click “Yes”. But, unfortunately, the morph will close and you will have to open it again. You ask: “Why so many seemingly unnecessary movements?” I'll explain. The fact is that if you had the module open Demo Tutorial, then all exported files are created at: My Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\AddIns\DEMO\core\override\toolsetexport, which is completely inconvenient, because files need to be constantly moved to the folder override. But, when you work in a module Single Player, then all files are automatically created\exported to the required address, namely: My Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override\toolsetexport.

    Let me remind you once again how to export to a file MOR. Menu Tools > Export > Post to Local. We wait until the file is exported, usually this is a very fast process.
    But the job is not done, now we name the file MOR Right. My new Anora's file turns from " hf_anora.mor" V " hf_den510_anora.mor" How did I know what to name the file correctly? I'm just a telepath. Kidding. At the end of the article I will tell you the methods and provide useful links. But so as not to bother you with this, I provide tables with ready-made names for companions and NPCs; all you have to do is name your files that way.

    >>>Tables with NPC names in PDF format<<<
    (at first I wanted to insert the tables directly here, but it would have been a lot, a lot of text, pdf is more convenient, and I’d rather tell you something interesting with the space saved)

    Making children is a little different. By default, the head of a human baby boy is revealed. She can be made to look like a human girl, an elf boy or an elf girl. To do this, go to the section 3.Feature Selection. Next section 01.Share.
    Elf boy- elf boy.
    Elf girl- elf girl.
    Human girl- a girl is a person, respectively.

    Very important!!! If you already have mods for changing the faces of companions and/or NPCs, then you need to delete them, or the files selectively. Otherwise the game will not see your made faces!!!

    Well, it seems that we have come to the finale, I hope everything works out for you!!! Now, if you are interested, below I will tell you a method on how to find out the names of faces and provide useful links to mods. Good luck!

    How to find out the names of the faces of companions and NPCs.
    There is nothing complicated about this, but for this we need 3 things:
    1) Toolset.
    2) DA Wiki, to spy on the characters, because I have already forgotten many.
    3) Patience and some knowledge of English.
    Opening Toolset, and now we need game archives where the faces of all the characters are hidden. They are different, but have the same name " face.erf", and now their location:
    For Beginnings: C:\Program Files (x86)\Dragon Age\packages\core\data
    For Awakenings: C:\Program Files (x86)\Dragon Age\packages\core_ep1\data
    For Songs of Leliana: C:\Users\Admin\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\AddIns\dao_prc_lel\core\data
    For Witch Hunts: C:\Users\Admin\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\AddIns\dao_prc_str\core\data
    For Golems of Amgarrak: C:\Users\Admin\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\AddIns\dao_prc_gib\core\data

    We open the archive of interest and see a huge number of files .mor, how to navigate?
    Firstly, race and gender, the first two letters of the file name, we already know this. Next comes the name of the stage of the game, where the character appears, and the name of the character itself. Here is the full name diagram:
    Race and gender _stage of the game _the very name .mor.
    We need the name itself, it is in English, but English will almost always save us DAWiki. Here is her address. We open the site, and at the very top enter the name of the character, I have Anora, that is, “anora”, press Enter and get the result.
    Of course, there are other ways, but this is the simplest, although not the fastest. You can also directly view the character model through the database Toolset, but not all the characters are there, only from the main campaign.

    I want to make the main character a double of some character. Easily!
    Indeed, this is very simple to implement. To do this, create a character of the desired gender and race, make a save, and exit the game. Remember how we wrote the name MOR file in the save? So, the process is almost identical, but I’ll remind you of it anyway.
    1) Opening Toolset, now we are looking for our experimental save, focusing on the creation date and character portraits. Saves are located at: My Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\Characters. Saving with the name " savegame.das"just drag and drop into the window Toolset.
    2) Again the following picture appears before us:

    3) We need a line SAVEGAME_PLAYERCHAR, click on the plus sign next to this line, several more lines will open, now we follow the same path in the same way: SAVEGAME_PLAYERCHAR_CHAR > SAVEGAME_APPEARANCE. We find the line with the title: SAVEGAME_APPEARANCE_MORPH_NAME. Twice LMB click on the rightmost line and enter the name of the person of interest (again resorting to the tables). We save the file, enter the game, continue the game, it will load the modified save itself. Ready! We admire the double)))

    How to slightly tweak a character's face without making it from scratch.
    This is only possible for people from the Beginning, we will need resources that one person (for which I bow to him) extracted from Toolset. All faces in format MRH, that is, they can be easily edited to suit every taste. In short, we will need "

    The famous computer game Skyrim has gathered an impressive army of fans around the world. The game has many accessibility features, but some features are sometimes unavailable. It is for such cases that fans of the game have created many useful programs that allow you to add new features to the game. These plugins allow you to diversify the gameplay, add interesting companions, items, beautiful sets of armor and even pets to the game.

    Skyrim how to change the appearance of NPCs - the main reasons for modifying characters

    The mod we’ll be talking about helps you edit the appearance of the main character’s companions. Companions in the game are those characters who, during the course of the game, will help the main character complete various difficult tasks, give him valuable advice and simply travel with him around the game world. Of course, the player can part with them at any time he wishes. In Skyrim, you are allowed to have only one partner, who will have an excellent set of useful abilities. Different partners have their own unique talents: some are excellent at magic, while others are excellent at handling weapons. Therefore, many players cannot imagine their gaming life without these excellent helpers.

    Unfortunately, the game does not have a function that would allow you to change the appearance of your comrade and give him a new unique appearance according to your preferences, so fans of the role-playing game themselves came up with a mod that allows players to do this without much effort.

    This plugin adds very useful features to the game:

    • You can change the level of your companion's magical skills.
    • Change the standard of living, magical abilities, the amount of currency and even his figure.
    • Change the name, appearance and race of the companion you like
    • Add and modify individual abilities of gaming partners.
    • Add different items of their equipment. These can be items of equipment, various types of light and heavy armor.

    For example, you can add a set of heavy armor to your companion, consisting of boots, a helmet, gloves, and choose an armor design that you like.

    This addon also allows you to add unique game items (artifacts), for example, some legendary weapons or valuable armor. If you wish, you can set up a function that will add useful potions, a lot of food and gold to any game character.

    How to use this useful plugin? The plugin will create a file on your computer called save_edit.Txt. The player just needs to place it in the game folder, where the TESV file is. exe, in which you need to register bat save_edit in the game console.
