First, it should be noted that synchronization will be one-way, that is, events from Outlook will not be synchronized with Google calendar.

Before setting up synchronization, you need to log into your Google account and go to the Calendar service. In the menu on the left, find the line corresponding to the name of your account and click on the arrow icon next to it. In the list that appears, click on “Calendar Settings”.

Log into your Outlook account and open your calendar. Go to the Import tab located in the control panel at the top. On the page that appears, select “Subscribe”. You will see a field to enter “Calendar URL”. It is in this field that you need to paste the previously copied link. Next, enter a name for this calendar, select the color you like from those offered and click the “Subscribe” button. Ready.

Now all necessary information from Google Calendar will appear in Outlook program. Also in Windows calendar you will be able to see all the events that you have added to Google Calendar. Setting up such interaction between two platforms can significantly simplify work with events and activities, increase efficiency and speed of work, and save time. However, there is one significant drawback. Data is updated once a day, so the added event will appear in Outlook only after some time. Be sure to take this fact into account.

It is also possible to synchronize Outlook calendar from VKontakte. This will be very convenient for those users who are afraid to forget about the birthday of friends, acquaintances, relatives or colleagues. This is done very simply. First you need to go to the website (http://rreverser.com/dev/vkcal.htm) and enter your authorization data for VKontakte. Be careful when entering your username and password on unknown sites. If any web page makes you suspicious or worried, it is better not to enter anything. To somehow secure your VKontakte account, change your password after completing the operation. After that, below you will see the text that needs to be saved with the extension “.ics”. If you can’t do this, just copy it into the Notepad utility and save it as a normal text file, and then change the extension to “.ics”.

Next, log into your Outlook account and create a new calendar by going to the appropriate section. Click on the “Import” button and select “Import to an existing calendar”. Next, click on the “Select file” button and specify the path to the ics file you saved in the previous steps. The parameters can be left as default. Click on the “Save” button. You can now synchronize your account.

Other options

Users Google Apps or Microsoft Exchange can take advantage of native synchronization. But these methods are well described in Google and they are not suitable for ordinary users.

Someone recently asked me: Will I be able to integrate Gmail contacts and calendars in Outlook 2016/2013/2019?

My answer was: Of course you can!

Now let's move on to how to synchronize Gmail and other contacts and calendars with mail client Outlook effortlessly.

1. First, download the ECO plugin from the official EVO website. Please note that when you install the plugin, you must be logged in as an administrator.

2.After installing the plugin, open Microsoft Outlook 2019/2016/2013. In the main menu bar located at the top of the Outlook 2013 window, click on the EVO tab that appears. Next, click on “Profile Settings”

3.In the window that appears, click “Gmail - not configured”.

4. On the right in the “Full name of the email address” line, enter your Gmail address and click "Test". A window will appear Google authentication prompting you to enter a password. After entering your password, click that you accept the terms of the agreement and close the window.

5. Click "Accept" and "Close"

When finished, any added or updated contacts, calendars and tasks in the Gmail folder will be synchronized two-way with MS Outlook. For example, added contacts on your Android phone will be synchronized with Outlook 2019. The same applies to calendars.

In addition, since CardDAV and CalDAV are generally accepted standards, you can do the same operation with iCloud, Yahoo! account, OwnCloud and many other services that support these protocols.

Are phone calendar events added to the Outlook calendar? For events from your device calendar to appear in your Outlook calendar, they must be added through an account that has been synced with Outlook. For example, if you add events to your iPhone calendar, you'll first need to sync them to your iCloud account and then add it to Outlook.

Checking synchronization settings

Make sure that for your account included Calendar:

Go to section Calendar in the Outlook app and click the three lines in the top left corner.

Under your accounts, select Calendar.

If your email address doesn't appear in the list, Exchange ActiveSync isn't configured for it. You will have to delete and add the account again without specifying IMAP.

Verify that Outlook can access Contacts:

The steps depend on what device and operating system you are using. If you do not have an iOS device or Samsung Android, use these general instructions:

For iOS: Open Settings, scroll down the page, click Outlook > Contacts and turn it on background app update.

For Android: Open Options > Applications > Outlook and make sure that the item Contacts selected.

Then open the Outlook application, select Options, tap your account and click Sync contacts.

Select Settings > Accounts > Exchange and tap email address, which is not synchronized.

Note: On different devices With Android menu settings may differ from those shown in the screenshots in this article. Use the steps described as general guidelines.

Make sure calendar synchronization included. Wait a moment and then check the calendar app on your device.

Note: If you see "IMAP" instead of "Exchange" or you get an error when syncing, you may not have added your email account correctly. Delete your account (select More > Delete account).

Wait a few minutes, and then check the calendar on your device.

Check if the application has Gmail access to your calendar and contacts.

Expand the panel Android notifications by swiping your finger from top to bottom across the device screen.

Select Failed to sync calendar and contacts.

Note: If you don't see a sync error notification, then everything is fine!

Gmail will request access. Click Allow and follow the onscreen instructions.

Select Settings > Accounts > Exchange> your email address.

Note: If your account uses IMAP, you will need to remove it and add it back as an Exchange account.

Make sure calendar synchronization included. Wait a moment and then check your calendar app.

If you don't see the calendar or your account uses IMAP, click More and select a team Delete account. In this case, continue to the next step.

Re-adding an account

Add your email account again by selecting Exchange ActiveSync or Exchange.

Note: If you don't use a popular service (such as one provided by Microsoft, Google, or Yahoo), contact your email service provider to see if you can add email without using IMAP and POP protocols.

But how can we transfer data from Google calendar to our Hotmail (Outlook) account? How to synchronize them? Indeed, in everyday life this will make it easier to perform and control a number of tasks. And it's very easy to do.

I warn you in advance that the interface may change since the publication of the material, but the settings should not undergo structural changes.

That's it. Data from Google calendar will now appear in our calendar in Hotmail (Outlook). The Windows Calendar application will display all the events that we have created (and will create) using Android smartphone or the browser version of Google Calendar.

This greatly simplifies the work and allows you to synchronize data between two different platforms.

The only drawback will be the speed of data update. It is low and occurs once a day. This means that an event created in Google calendar will appear in the Hotmail (Outlook) calendar in best case scenario in an hour or two. And this must be taken into account. But this is the only way to significantly simplify your work and daily life, especially if you have a lot of recurring events on your calendar that you shouldn’t forget about.
