• Nokia express music 5530 firmware rm 504

This post is dedicated to the owners Nokia phone 5530 XpressMusic core - v40 C6V41. Everyone has encountered the fact that the phone is slow and glitchy. Here I'm talking about firmware that will speed it up, but the load will remain the same. It's called Symbian^3 Accelerated FIX 2012.

After the firmware everything will look something like this:

PLEASE NOTE: WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR ACTIONS!

    Let's get down to business.

    Preparing the phone for firmware

    1) Charge the phone to maximum.
    2) Format the flash drive through the “File Manager”.
    3) Remove all programs and utilities from Nokia.
    4) Turn off the antivirus, it will interfere.

    Install the necessary software

    1) Download JAF1.98.62 (http://sensornokia.ru/download/pnht/JAF_1.98.62.zip) and put it in the default folder C:\ProgramFiles (x86)\ODEON\JAF or in C:\ Program Files\ODEON\JAF.

    2) Unpack to C:\Program Files\Nokia\Phoenix\Products\RM-504
If you don't find these folders, create them.

    4) Put something like a checkmark in the Random PKEY Thomas SN field and press the “Start” button.
    5) In the window that opens, select the “BB5” tab, uncheck CRT 308, check Manual Flash, Dead USB, Factory Set:

    13) The most important point. Enjoy the firmware!
This post was written based on forum.allnokia.ru.

Let's decide on the firmware. I use modified versions standard firmware, ported C6 and n97 after a couple of weeks of work no longer brought any joy, as they began to hang wildly.
The list of available firmwares can be found here:
    http://forum.allnokia.ru/viewtopic.php?t=61485
You just need to choose the one you like and download it. As a rule, you will have to download several files (kernel and PPM).

    Step 2

After waiting for the download to complete (how long to wait depends on the mood of your provider), we proceed to preparing the software.
    Download drivers:
    http://narod.ru/disk/20308332000/nokia_flashing_cable_driver_8.47.0.rar.html
    http://allnokia.ru/soft/moreinfo-21.htm
    Install and reboot the computer.

    Step 3

Save important files from phone, flash card. We format the flash drive (via PC) and put it aside for a while. On your phone you will need to make Hard Reset– just “call” the number *#7370#. The phone will require a password, and if it has not been changed, you will need to enter 12345. The phone will reboot.

    Step 4

Now download JAF. This software for, in fact, flashing the phone's firmware.
    For 32-bit systems:
    http://narod.ru/disk/17436455001/Assembly%20J.A.F%201.98.66%20.exe.html
    For 64-bit systems:
    http://narod.ru/disk/6351504001/J.A.F%201.98.66%20modified%20Win7x64.exe.html
    Download and install.

    Step 5

Two shortcuts will appear on the desktop - Start J.A.F and J.A.F Manual. If you have seven, then right-click on Start JAF, go to the compatibility tab and set compatibility with Windows XP SP3.

    Step 6

And so, we disable the antivirus and firewall, run JAF as administrator, connect the TURNED OFF phone via USB to the computer, preferably without any adapters, but directly into the USB port on the back of the system unit.
In JAFe, go to the BB5 tab, check the boxes for Manual Flash, Dead USB, Factory Set, uncheck the CRT 308 and Normal Mode boxes.

    Step 7

Unpack the firmware into a separate folder.
Drag the core file (most likely its name will look like this: ****.core.c00) into the Jafa window, a small pop-up menu will appear, select MCU File there, the MCU light will light up.
Now the firmware file (has the extension * .V06). We do the same thing, only select PPM File in the pop-up window.

    Step 8

We make sure that the drivers are installed, antiviruses, etc. are turned off, two lights are on, the checkboxes are checked, the switched off phone (with the USB flash drive inserted) is connected via USB to the computer. Now the most crucial moment - press Flash button to JAF. A large and menacing warning will appear that you can now ruin your phone. Yes you can, so I don't bear any responsibility :)
We agree with the warning, the firmware begins, briefly press the phone’s power button, you will hear that a new device has connected to the computer.

    Step 9

The firmware will end when the jaf writes Done! several times.
    Enjoy the latest firmware;)

Save all the most important data - contacts, notes and SMS messages. Backup can be done using Ovi Suite by synchronizing through the appropriate option in the program menu. Also write down the names of the applications that are installed on your device, since after flashing all data will be deleted.

Fully charge the device before surgery charger, which came with the phone upon purchase.

Download and install everything necessary programs to the computer. You will need to download Phoenix Service Software latest version(not lower than 2012.05.003.47798). You will also need to download Russian firmware, which corresponds to the RM version of the phone printed on the device box (for example, RM-558). The RM ID corresponds to the name of the market for which the device was released and the color of the case.

Run the downloaded firmware file and install it according to the instructions on the screen. The firmware is an ordinary installation file, which unpacks all the necessary data in the Program Files directory, and therefore installation difficulties most often do not arise. Also run the Phoenix installer to connect your phone to your computer.

Close everything before flashing antivirus programs and Ovi Suite.

    Firmware procedure

Connect the turned on phone to the computer using a cable, selecting Suite mode. You will begin installing drivers for flashing. When notified that the hardware installation has been successful, unplug the machine and turn it off. Connect the switched off phone to the computer and briefly press the power button 1-2 times. The installation of the new driver will begin. If the installation fails, click on the corresponding notification and manually specify the path to the driver file, which is located in the “ Local disk C:" - Program Files(x86) – Nokia – Connectivity Cable Driver.

Disconnect the device from the computer again, turn it on, and then connect it to the computer. Launch Phoenix using the desktop shortcut. In the No connections item, select the USB RM indicator that corresponds to your device. After this, go to File – Scan Product, and the name of your firmware and device data will appear at the bottom of the program.

Go to the Flashing – Firmware Update tab, where among the options offered, select your RM code. Under the SW Reset button, click Options to open the settings window. In the proposed list, uncheck the Dell item. If it is absent, there is no need to change any parameters.

Click on the Refurbish button to start flashing your phone. Wait for the process to complete without turning off or touching the device until the corresponding notification appears and full inclusion devices. Flashing Nokia 5530 completed.

The PNHT team, as promised, posted the version Nokia firmware C6 ported to 5800\5530.
The firmware process itself is standard and there is nothing new in it, we use jaf.
The firmware really worked and I want to note that it works much faster than the native one. I can’t say anything about stability yet, time will tell.
True, after flashing the firmware, I didn’t find the usual list of messages in the messages folder; they are no longer grouped into a hidden list. The system update message also did not produce results.
But now I have a fast phone; before I had to achieve speed by installing SPB mobile Shell.

As you can see from the screenshot above, desktop widgets also work; they are installed from the ovi store, just like the N97. By the way, ovi store didn’t work either, the problem was solved by this application was re-downloaded via a standard browser.
By default, the accelerometer and theme effects are disabled, they are turned on through the menu, the qwerty keyboard turns on automatically when you rotate the screen (the first time you had to select it manually). QuickOffice, adobe pdf le, zip integrated.
Well, the first impression was positive; installing this firmware version “revived” the phone.

firmware with Russian and English for 5530
firmware with Russian and English for 5800
I warn you right away: I choose the best firmware in my personal opinion for the 5530.

I won’t describe the firmware instructions for a long time, you can use the manual and download everything you need
for Nokia 5530 for Nokia 5800. Namely, you need instructions for flashing JAF.
Note: if you do not have …\Phoenix\… folders, you will need to create them. For 64-bit users Windows is better duplicate in Programm files and Programm files(86).
