• Set up a pigeon combination padlock for your suitcase. How to change the code on the lock? Alexey answers questions. Keyless door opening specialist

Many modern travel suitcases are available with a special combination lock, one that prevents the suitcase from being opened, which means the theft of your personal property at a hotel or airfield. Many people who bought such a suitcase do not know how to correctly configure the code palace so that it opens only with the code that its owner came up with. You can install the newest code on your travel bag in a couple of minutes.

    Instructions

    1. By default, suitcase locks are set to the factory settings - the opening code is 000. Leaving the standard code unchanged may be unsafe, so be sure to change it. First, determine what type of palace on your bag is a fixed or hinged one.

    2. If the lock is fixed, open the suitcase by setting the factory combination on the combination lock, and then find the lock code lock button, which is traditionally located on its side wall and looks like a button or a lever.

    3. Take a thin, sharp object, say a toothpick, and poke the code lock button or slide the lever to the right and up. While holding the button in this position, change the combination of numbers in the lock, and then release the button or return the lever back to the location in which it was. Now your suitcase will only open after the new code has entered.

    4. If the suitcase is equipped with a combination padlock, open the palace in advance by turning the metal arc 90 or 180 degrees and press it inward. Hold the metal arc in a depressed position and at this time enter new numbers by turning the dials of the lock. When the required numbers are set, release the lock clasp.

    5. Remember the set code as best you can, so as not to be faced with the impossibility of opening the suitcase at the most inopportune moment.

You can write the code in the correct place, and also use the first numbers of your date of birth as the code.
