— SMS messages(I’ll write about this in a little more detail below);

- your photos;

— calendar events;

- your alarm clocks;

— your personal dictionary;

- browser bookmarks.

What I liked was the clear interface, the presence of the Russian language (something Asian developers cannot always boast of, which, however, is understandable - they have more than enough of their own market 🙂), quite fast speed data transfer, the ability to set a backup schedule. Additionally, your data is encrypted (AES-256) while in transit, uploaded, and stored on Amazon S3 servers. And this is very reliable.

Another interesting feature is that you can reduce the size of your photos on your device by 90% after backing up the originals.

And now a few words about what I didn’t like. When moving to another smartphone, I noticed that everything was copied except SMS. To transfer messages, CM Backup suggested installing some kind of application for SMS. And no options. I had to agree, but after the messages were transferred, set my favorite as default again. As a result, the SMS messages remained safe and sound. The main question- how to transfer contacts to Android was finally solved. And I was especially pleased with the call log, which also migrated to the new device :)

I advise you to try the CM Backup cloud and decide for yourself whether to choose it or alternative solutions, of which there are many now offered.

When you first launch the application, you need to register. You can do it the old fashioned way, or you can do it with an account Google entry+ or Facebook.

After that, we get into the application itself, and it already makes a backup copy of basic information: contacts, SMS messages, calls and calendar data. This is the most basic data, one might say, basic needs.

Then we can look at the capabilities of CM Backup in more detail and even use them. Our device is depicted on the main screen, it is presented in the form of a beautifully designed miniature, even the wallpaper is set to ours.

The amount of free/used memory is displayed. Below are the items to copy and the main button. If the icon is green and a check mark is displayed, then everything is fine, but if it is blue and a number is written, then this is the amount of new, not yet synchronized data.

There is also a certain game - “rock paper scissors”, in which we can win against other users free space in cloud storage. The game, if you can call it that, is more than pointless, since victory in no way depends on you.

Settings

CM Backup doesn't have a lot of settings, unlike Clean Master, developed by the same company.

You can set up scheduled backups. We select the elements that should be synchronized, as well as the time of the “procedure”. To save battery, you can enable lazy backup, as the developers indicate, this will help save about 10%. I can state that this parameter is very individual. If there is a lot of data, then there is practically no difference in battery consumption, but if there is little data, then there is no sense in activating this “placebo function”. But the fact that a gluttonous process takes up residence in the system for a longer period of time is a fact.

If we are not interested in scheduled copying, then CM Backup may simply offer to copy to manual mode. For what? - expected question. Let’s say that today we didn’t do anything, so there’s no point in even “loading” the system. But tomorrow we will take a lot of photos that will definitely need to be transferred to the server.

Well, while using the application: when synchronizing, creating thumbnail images and other “working” moments, a cache is formed, it can be cleared without any problems through the program settings.

Testing

I don’t think it’s worth saying that the application is simply excellent. And they did a good job on resource consumption. The application weighs relatively little, but it gets dirty quite well with the cache, so we did something to clear it special item in the settings.

But the RAM consumption is quite average, however, after the same Clean Master, this application is like a feather - practically unnoticeable for the device’s hardware.

Conclusions on SM Backup

CM Backup is a simple and very functional application for backing up all basic personal data. The program is intuitive, you don’t need to understand it, even a “backup” is automatically made upon first login. And then you can configure the backup of elements according to plan, that is, at a predetermined time. Everything for the convenience of users!

And the program is very loyal to the “pocket” of consumers. We have 5 GB of storage available for free, which can be expanded if necessary by investing a couple of hundred rubles. But even if we don’t want to do this, no one will limit our functions. In general, some advantages.

The idea of ​​writing an article about QuickPic Gallery was not born casually, but as a result of its very long use.
