    It happens that you need to write an inscription on an image, for example, to comment on an illustration. Or you found a suitable image for the site header, and you want the title to be written on it. Now I will not talk about complex and expensive programs, like Photoshop, but I’ll show you the simplest and most accessible way.

    On every computer on which it is installed operating system Windows, there is a simple graphics program Paint. To find it, you need to press the big round button "Start" in the lower left corner of the screen. Usually, after clicking it, a list of recently used programs opens. If you haven't used Paint, then, of course, it won't be on this list. So first you need to click "All programs", Then "Standard":

    After the program has started, open the picture on which we will write the inscription. To do this you need to click on top line menu "File" → "Open", find it on your computer required file and do according to it double click left mouse button.

    Let's say I'm making a website about hang gliding. For the background of the header, I found a piece of the sky and want to write the name “Promised Heaven” on it:

    In order to write text on this image, you must first click the letter “A” in the toolbar (1), after which two similar pictures. In order for the background under the text to remain transparent and our picture with the sky to be visible in its entirety, you need to click on the bottom picture (2). If the top image is clicked, the text will be written on a white (color) background. To us, in in this case, it's not necessary.
    Now you need to select the text color. Above the image you see multi-colored squares - this is a color palette. To the left of the palette there are two overlapping squares. The coloring of the top square shows which color is set to at the moment. To change the color, you need to click on the desired one in the color palette. Suitable for my picture white, so I chose it (3).
    In this program, before entering text, you need to create a selection-type field for it, that is, “draw” a frame. To do this, place the cursor where the upper left corner of the frame should be, hold down left button mouse and, without releasing the button, move the mouse diagonally down until you get a frame the right size. The button can now be released.
    We will also need tools for changing the font size and type. To do this, click “View” on the top menu bar and select “Text Attributes Panel.” A panel will appear in which you can specify the font, its size and type:

    I chose Constanta bold font size 36.
    Enter text. If you need to move it in the center, place the cursor at the beginning of the text and press the Spacebar as many times as necessary.

    Actually, that's all. The picture can be saved. If you now select any other tool, for example, an eraser, you will see the picture in the form in which it will be saved:

    The result, of course, is not a masterpiece of design art, but it’s better than having an irrelevant logo instead of the site’s header.
    To save the picture, click on the top menu bar "File" → "Save as...". Write a name for the file, find the folder for it and click "Save".

    Sometimes the name alone is enough to understand that you don’t like the application. And despite the fact that the word “photo” is misspelled here, we’ll chalk it up to a marketing ploy.
