• Yandex keyboard layout. Punto Switcher - keyboard layout switcher

In this article we’ll talk about a convenient keyboard layout switch, a free popular program Punto Switcher.

The ease of use of this program can be appreciated almost immediately after installing it and starting to type text, especially, perhaps, for those who type text, i.e. fast.

The essence of the main application Punto Switcher is that it allows you to automatically switch the keyboard layout from Russian to English and back depending on the text you are typing.

Those. during normal typing (without using this program), if we, for example, write text in the language we need, then we first need to in the Taskbar, or using additional combination hot keys, switch to the language we need, make sure that we really switched to it, and only after that type the desired text.

The Punto Switcher program solves this inconvenience by automatically switching the layout when we just start typing. This is achieved by the fact that Punto Switcher takes into account what characters we type and if these combinations of characters are not found in the words of the current installed layout keyboard, the program itself will automatically switch the layout and replace the text already started to be printed with the correct language.

Let’s say if we started writing the phrase without using this program: “ Good afternoon", but did not pay attention that our keyboard layout was on English, then we would get this: “ Lj,hsq ltym!”.

Probably everyone has encountered this situation: you start writing text, look up from the keyboard to the monitor to look at the text and see that you are writing in a different language. Then you have to erase everything, switch the keyboard and type again. A little annoying, right?!

There are no such problems with Punto Switcher. And, besides this, the program also has additional features, such as changing the character layout in already entered text, auto-replacing short phrases with longer ones, diary, etc. We'll look at some of the functions below.

Let's start by installing the program.

    Installing Punto Switcher

We go to the website of this program and download it to your computer by clicking on the button Download:

By the way, the main features of Punto Switcher are clearly and clearly shown to the right of this download button in the interactive menu.

So, let's run the downloaded installation file. Next, the installation process will begin. It is very simple, but with the release of new versions, developers can modify it a little. At the time of writing, the installation interface was as follows:

The first window shows where on the computer it will be installed. this program. You don't have to change anything here. And here you are asked to make a choice on the account home page and search.

I personally don’t need these additions, so I remove the checkboxes (if you need them, you can leave the checkboxes). Click Install:

I don’t use Yandex Bar either, so I don’t check the box. But if you want to see what it is, then leave it. In this case, a special panel from Yandex, which can be disabled in the future, will be added to the browser.

Leave the checkbox to launch Punto Switcher and click Ready:

The icon in the taskbar will indicate that the program is running:

In the future, if we suddenly exit the program, we can start it again through the Start menu, as shown in the picture:

    How to use Punto Switcher

As I already said at the beginning of the article, if we are typing some text, then we do not even need to switch the keyboard layout ourselves, since the program itself will switch the keyboard to the desired layout, correcting the entered word. If you still need to first enable the desired layout, you can use left Ctrl button (1):

    But, there are unusual situations.

Situation 1. For example, Punto Switcher can change a word to a different layout where we don’t need it.

This may happen in some cases, for example, when we need to enter our login or password in English somewhere on the site, consisting of a chaotic set of characters.

So, Punto Switcher can automatically switch the layout, which will make a word with Russian characters.

In this case, you can press the key on the keyboard Break(2) to cancel automatic keyboard change for of this word. This will return the character set in English, although it is chaotic.

Situation 2. There may be a situation where we specifically disabled Auto-detection via context menu program by calling it with the left mouse button in the program icon in the taskbar, i.e. so that the program does not automatically change the layout.

And then they forgot to turn on Auto-detection.

Or we simply didn’t have Punto Switcher running, and we had already typed a lot of text without noticing that we were writing in the wrong layout.

In this case, you can select all this text and press the key combination Shift (3) + Break(2), - provided that the program is already running, of course (if it was disabled). As a result, all the text will be changed, as if written in a different layout.

Situation 3. There is another situation. We printed the text, but then decided that some words in the text, or even the entire text, we needed it to be written not in lowercase letters, but in CAPITAL letters.

Then we can simply highlight the text we need and press the key combination Alt(4) + Break(2). The same applies to the case if we have it written in CAPITAL, but we need to convert it to lowercase.

    Punto Switcher Settings

The Punto Switcher program can be further customized to suit your needs. Everything there is quite simple and clear, so I don’t think there’s much point in writing about all the settings (you can figure it out yourself or just leave everything as it is and use the default settings).

I’ll just draw your attention to some settings that may still be useful to some users.

IN Taskbars Right-click on the program icon and go to Settings:

    Hotkeys section

In this section, you can assign hot keys to quickly perform any operation. We have already discussed the first three actions above. If you are not satisfied with the given keys for performing a task, then in this section you can change them, as well as add new ones for other actions we need.

For example, the following given function is: Transliterate selected text. We have already talked about text transliteration in this topic, so if you wish, you can see what it is.

Let's say the combination of these keys is not suitable for us to remember. Let's change it to a more suitable one:

Note: When we enter new keys, you need to press them on the keyboard at the same time, and they themselves will be written in this new key combination selection field.

    Exception programs section

In this section, you can specify for which programs we do not want auto-switching to work, i.e. so that Punto Switcher does not switch layouts automatically. Thus, I have indicated special program, in which I create and store logins and passwords:

    AutoCorrect section

Quite a valuable function, especially when we often write the same sentences or phrases.

May be, emails to a friend we always begin with the phrase: “ Hello, Konstantin!».

Here we can indicate, for example, any short word or letters that we will associate with the longer phrase we need:

Now, when writing a letter, we can simply write the desired short phrase, the full phrase for this short autocorrect will pop up:

    Click Enter for autocorrect. Ready!

    Additional language in Punto Switcher

Some users may need to add an additional keyboard layout language, for example, Ukrainian.

To do this, right-click on the Punto Switcher icon, select Advanced -> System Properties:

Select Ukrainian language from the list:

Ukrainian language added! All you have to do is click Apply and Ok:

I don’t use the other settings in the Punto Switcher program yet - I don’t see any particular need for them. But perhaps in your case something will be useful. For example it could be Diary, which saves everything we write on the computer, if, of course, we enable it in the settings for such a task.

In general, look at the rest of the settings yourself. If you don’t understand, write in the comments, and we’ll discuss it.

Punto Switcher- program for automatic switching keyboard layout (language) when typing text. And that says it all.

This is the most best program for this task. It's so harsh that it hasn't even been updated for over a year. There is simply nothing to update - everything works perfectly, because it was produced by the great Yandex itself. Of course, you can switch the layout using the built-in means of the system, in other words, by successively pressing the “Alt” and “Shift” or “Ctrl” and “Shift” keys (depending on who)…

But why break your fingers and brain if Punto Switcher can handle it itself. All you need to do is not stop typing the text, but program for automatically switching layouts(language) will figure out what language you are creating your masterpiece in and switch the layout automatically with a specific sound. You can configure rules for different programs. And you can change the sound when you press any key (set a farting sound, for example, and amuse your friends).

    Let's finally get started...

    Download Punto Switcher

    Install Punto Switcher

    Click on the shortcut...

Uncheck (by clicking on it with the left mouse button) in the box indicated by the arrow and without changing anything else (instead of E: you will most likely have C: - I just have the system on the E: drive, in any case, don’t change anything) click (Install)…

Uncheck the indicated boxes and that’s it - (Finish).

Now, in fact, all that remains is to enable Punto Switcher. Go to the Start menu, look for the program and click on it...

An icon has appeared in the tray (on the right, near the clock) Punto programs Switcher. Congratulations.

    Setting up Punto Switcher

Click on this icon with the RIGHT mouse button and click on (Settings)…

    We get...

I only checked these two boxes and that’s it. I didn't change anything else.

To assign a sound when you press any key (which I talked about at the beginning) while typing, go to (Sounds)…

Check the two checkboxes at the top, and then click the (Edit) button. A folder with sounds will open. To use your sound, you must first save it in the “Sounds” folder of the program Punto Switcher and select it

    Good day everyone!

It would seem like such a small thing - switch the keyboard layout, press two ALT+SHIFT buttons, but how many times do you have to retype a word because the layout has not changed, or you forgot to press it in time and change the layout. I think that even those who type a lot and have mastered the “touch” method of typing on a keyboard will agree with me.

Probably due to this lately Quite popular are utilities that allow you to change the keyboard layout in automatic mode, that is, on the fly: you type and don’t think about it, and the robot program will change the layout in time, and at the same time correct errors or gross typos. It is precisely such programs that I wanted to mention in this article (by the way, some of them have long become indispensable for many users)…

    Punto Switcher

Without exaggeration, this program can be called one of the best of its kind. Almost on the fly, it changes the layout, and also corrects an incorrectly typed word, corrects typos and extra spaces, gross mistakes, unnecessary capital letters and so on.

I would also like to note its amazing compatibility: the program works in almost all Windows versions. For many users, this utility is the first thing they install on their PC after installing Windows (and in principle, I understand them!).

Add to everything else an abundance of options (the screenshot is shown above): you can configure almost every little thing, select buttons for switching and correcting layouts, configure appearance utilities, set up rules for switching, specify programs in which you do not need to switch layouts (useful, for example, in games), etc. In general, my rating is 5, I recommend it to everyone without exception!

    Key Switcher

A very, very good program for auto-switching layouts. What captivates you most about it: ease of use (everything happens automatically), flexible settings, support for 24 languages! In addition, the utility is free for individual use.

Works in almost everything modern versions Windows.

By the way, the program corrects typos quite well, corrects random double capital letters (often users do not have time to press Shift key when typing), when changing the typing language, the utility will show an icon with the country flag, which will notify the user.

In general, using the program is comfortable and convenient, I recommend you check it out!

    Keyboard Ninja

One of the most famous utilities for automatic change keyboard layout language when typing text. Edits typed text easily and quickly, saving you time. Separately, I would like to highlight the settings: there are quite a lot of them and the program can be customized, as they say, “for yourself.”

    Window Keyboard settings Ninja.

    Main features of the program:

    • auto-correct text if you forget to switch layout;
    • replacing keys for switching and changing languages;
    • translation of Russian text into transliteration (sometimes very useful option, for example, when your interlocutor sees hieroglyphs instead of Russian letters);
    • notifying the user about a change in layout (not only with sound, but also graphically);
    • ability to customize templates for automatic replacement text while typing (i.e. the program can be “trained”);
    • sound notification about switching layouts and typing;
    • correction of gross typos.

To summarize, the program can be given a solid four. Unfortunately, it has one drawback: it has not been updated for a long time, and, for example, in new Windows 10, errors often start to appear (although some users do not have problems in Windows 10, so here, depending on your luck)…

    Arum Switcher

Very skillful and simple program to quickly correct text that you typed in the wrong layout (it cannot switch on the fly!). On the one hand, the utility is convenient, on the other hand, it may not seem so functional to many: after all, there is no automatic recognition of the text being typed, which means that in any case you have to use the “manual” mode.

On the other hand, not in all cases and not always you need to immediately switch the layout; sometimes it even gets in the way when you want to type something non-standard. In any case, if you are not satisfied with the previous utilities, try this one (it will definitely be less annoying).

By the way, I cannot help but note one unique feature of the program that is not found in analogues. When there are "unclear" characters in the form of hieroglyphs or question marks on the clipboard, in most cases this utility can correct them and when you paste the text, it will be in normal form. Isn't it convenient?!

    Anetto Layout

    Website: http://ansoft.narod.ru/

Enough old program to switch the keyboard layout and change the text in the buffer, and you can see what the latter will look like (see example below in the screenshot). Those. You can choose not only to change the language, but also the case of letters, do you agree that it is sometimes very useful?

Due to the fact that the program has not been updated for quite some time, new versions of Windows may experience compatibility problems. For example, the utility worked on my laptop, but it did not work with all the features (there was no auto-switching, but the rest of the options worked). So, I can recommend it to those who have old PCs with old software, but for the rest, I think it will not suit...

That's all for me today, good luck to everyone and speed dial text. Best wishes!

Xfcnj kb e Dfc ,sdftn nfrjt d yfgbcfybb cjj, otybq& Does this often happen to you when writing messages? This is especially true when you type blindly. When, without looking at the monitor, you lean over the keyboard and type while looking only at it, then look at the screen to see what happened and... On the screen, instead of Russian interconnected words, what abracadabra is from English letters. Someone curses, someone gets angry, someone silently accepts it. But in any case, this is followed by deleting the typed text, switching the keyboard layout and typing the text again. It is for such cases that smart guys wrote different keyboard switches.

I wanted to write about one, the most popular, but then I looked on the Internet at competitors and reviews and decided to make a brief review of all keyboard layout switches.
Although the word “Everyone” is too strong, I found a total of four programs of this class that are worth paying attention to. There were more, but the sites were closed and there was no way to download.
So, less words - more action!

    1) punto switcher- the most popular and accessible and free and generally the most

But this is just for starters...
    Advantages of punto switcher:
    - Free
    - There is Russian language
    - Automatically switches keyboard language

    Disadvantages of punto switcher:
    - The ubiquitous Yandex (namely, it bought this program about 3 years ago) as usual puts in its toolbars and home pages during installation. You can, of course, disagree with all these annoying installation proposals, but the fact remains a fact. If you constantly click Next Next Next, then in the end you will install the program and, in addition, a bunch of all sorts of Yandex “goodies”. Personally, this is not necessary for me and therefore I consider it a disadvantage. Yandex is already popular, so why push yourself everywhere?...
    - Some particularly manic individuals claim that Yandex uses it to track your clicks and collect them somewhere... It may seem nonsense to some, but if even Google does the same thing with its vaunted browser, then... think for yourself.
    - Due to the fact that it is especially popular in the user environment, all sorts of bad people calling themselves “hackers” hack it in every possible way and gain access to what you type on the keyboard. This is especially true for passwords. (after that I deleted it).
    - Her interception sometimes forces her to be killed in the process. It is integrated in such a way that if you have it running and you want to play, then it will only interfere with you. My example - I sometimes play CS 1.6, when I log in I forget that I have this program running and in the end it thinks that when I “walk” in the game, it’s as if I’m typing text and it tries in every possible way to “switch” it, which in the end forces me to either just stand or slow down while running or something else.
    - After removal in a standard way it still “hangs” in the system and tracks your clicks. Sometimes the only solution is to reinstall the system.

    2) Arum Switcher alternative to the previous switch. It differs (like any program) in its interface and a number of its bells and whistles.

    Benefits of Arum Switcher:
    - Free
    - There is Russian language
    - There are many settings for you
You can read more about the program and also download it.

    Disadvantages of Arum Switcher:
    - Switches only when pressing key combinations

    3) Orfo Switcher now it's called Virtual assistant . Some bad assholes bought it and made it paid.
    Benefits of Orfo Switcher:
    - Honestly, I don’t even know now
You can read more details at
