• 4pda unlock xiaomi bootloader. Unlocking the bootloader of Xiaomi devices

    On most devices this process is simple, but with some Chinese brands(or even certain models of the line) difficulties may arise.

    In particular, to install the software, you must first unlock the bootloader, the methods of which will be described in this material.

    Why do you need a bootloader?

    A downloader is a special application (process) that allows you to download and install various software to a smartphone. It is present in any device, but can be locked or unlocked.

    Most often, users have problems with unofficial software - it is its installation that is blocked on the bootloader, while official applications and programs from the developer are installed freely.

    The biggest problem this phenomenon occurs in the case of installation new firmware.

    The fact is that official firmware, which largely changes appearance either the smartphone menu language is very limited (and for some models they are absent altogether), or they are just as inconvenient, do not expand functionality and do not meet other requirements.

    In fact, the most preferred ones are unofficial firmware, developed by enthusiasts that can significantly improve the performance of the device.

    In what cases might the user need to reflash the device?

    • When purchasing non-Russian smartphones directly from China;
    • If you want to expand the functionality of the device;
    • If the proprietary shell of the original interface is inconvenient/unusual.

    All these problems can be eliminated only by installing new firmware, and the official versions do not solve the problems.

    Therefore, you have to download unofficial ones, which the locked bootloader does not allow you to install - when you try to start the installation, a window appears informing you that the process is impossible.

    The essence of the problem

    This brand blocks the bootloader on all models released after November 2015.

    Thus, the user cannot receive on these smartphones the following advantages:

    Once you have downloaded any type of unofficial software and transferred it to your device, you can try to run its installation.

    If the bootloader is unlocked and functioning normally, then the Recovery process will start, but if the bootloader is locked, then, depending on the model of your phone, nothing may happen at all, a reboot may occur, or a notification will appear stating that this type of operation cannot be performed.

    Is there a block?

    How to find out if your specific device is blocked? All smartphones released in the winter of 2015 and later have a locked bootloader, but exceptions are possible, as well as a situation where the user does not know the release date of his device.

    In this case, it is better to first check whether you need to unlock the bootloader, or whether it is already functioning normally.

    There are two ways to do this– using the resources of the smartphone itself or using a computer ( various methods for different operating systems). The verification algorithms are described below.

    Via smartphone

    This method is the simplest and most accessible, but not always accurate. However, you can check for blocking in this way at any time and anywhere, since for this you only need the smartphone itself, which needs to be checked.

    To perform the check, follow the algorithm, below:

    • Go to the settings of your smartphone or tablet;
    • Scroll the entire list of settings to the very bottom, to the last item About device;
    • Go to the About device section;
    • Find the Core line and quickly click on it several times (up to 10 times, usually);
    • Will open new mode, similar to the one that appears after activating root rights;

    • A new menu will open in which you need to find the line Software version;
    • Go to the item and in the new list find the line FastBoot Lock State;
    • It is under this line that the status of your bootloader is indicated(the designation unlock indicates that it is unlocked, lock, respectively, indicates that it is blocked).

    You cannot change this indicator in this section in any way. Therefore, just close all menus, exit to standard mode work and reboot the device. After that, proceed directly to the unlocking process.

    The method works great on models and some others, so it is possible that it will work on your device.

    However, in some cases you cannot use it, because you cannot get extended user rights - and no matter how much you click on the Kernel item, nothing will happen and additional menu won't open.

    If this happens, then you should use a computer to check for blocking.

    Via computer

    If checking for a lock via a smartphone fails, then you need to check it through a computer after connecting the smartphone to it.

    The method is universal, as it works on any smartphone, but it is more complex, as it requires a computer and a USB cable at hand.

    In addition, different scanning algorithms are available for different operating systems.

    Windows

    The most popular OS and the method of using it to view locks is quite simple.

    To view the parameters, proceed according to the algorithm:

    • Turn off your smartphone;
    • Turn on your PC;
    • Prepare USB cord;
    • Download your smartphone in FastBoot format;
    • Press and hold the volume down keys (the lower part of the volume key) and the power on/off key on the device at the same time;
    • Connect your gadget to your PC using USB cable;
    • Press the Win + R buttons on your computer keyboard for a while;
    • The Run window will open - in the print area, enter the cmd combination to activate it;

    • Click Enter on the keyboard or OK in the Run field;
    • The command line is activated, in which you need to enter the abd command;

    • Press Enter on your keyboard;
    • Now you can find out direct information about the bootloader - to do this, type in command linefastboot oem device-info;

    • Press Enter;
    • The PC display will show new entry – Device unlocked and designation – if true, then the device is unlocked, if false, then it is blocked.

    Now you can close all windows. Basic data about the device has been received. And if it is blocked, then you can proceed to unlocking.

    Linux

    A different verification algorithm is given for users.

    To check the blocking indicator on it, please do the following:

    • In the command terminal, type abd to activate the command line;

    • Next, enter the script sudo apt-get install android-tools-adb android-tools-fastboot;
    • Activate fastboot mode on your own smartphone by holding down the volume down and power buttons simultaneously for a few seconds;
    • Enter the script sudo fastboot devices on your computer;
    • After pressing the Enter button, a number will appear on the device screen - this is international identification number your device;
    • Now type the script sudo fastboot oem device-info and press Enter;
    • The screen will display the status of your bootloader on your smartphone (lock or unlock, respectively);
    • Now you can close all windows and disconnect the connected phone.

    The method is suitable not only for Linux, but also for operating systems based on it - , Debian, etc. even any unlocking will proceed in the standard way. The only problem that may arise is the appearance of the waiting for device notification at any stage of working with the command line; this can be eliminated by running all commands as an administrator.

    There is no way to check the bootloader lock on Android using a MacOS computer.

    Unlock

    Now proceed to the unlocking process itself.

    It is quite complex and unique, and it begins with obtaining official permission from the manufacturer.

    Obtaining permission

    To obtain permission proceed like this:

    • If you do not have such an account, you must create one on the official website of the brand for further unlocking - without him it's impossible;
    • A new form will open in which you need to fill out English all fields in order– name, country, phone number, reason for unlocking (for some users this form does not open at all and they immediately go to the download page for the corresponding unlocking software);

    • Check the box for consent to the processing of your personal data and click on the blue-green button in the lower left corner;
    • A code will be sent to the specified phone number, which will need to be entered into the only input field on the page that opens;

    • Click the Next button;
    • A notification will appear on the screen indicating that the application has been accepted for consideration.

    Check the application status in your account. Although in the vast majority of cases a notification of its approval is sent to the specified phone number, in some cases this may not happen.

    Important! Since this method is completely official, no problems should arise. However, it is still recommended to reinstall the device drivers after receiving it, as some difficulties may still arise.

    Actually unlocking

    Now that permission has been received, you can directly unlock the device.

    To do this, do the following:

    • Check what firmware is installed on your device - unlocking can only be done if China Developer Version or Global Developer Version is installed;
    • Download the firmware itself, the Mi Flash unlock program, to which you will receive a link after receiving permission to unlock;
    • Now place the firmware software in the phone's built-in memory and install the unlock software on the computer;
    • Turn off your mobile device and boot it again in mode fastboot way, which has already been described above;
    • Connect the gadget operating in this mode to the computer;
    • Run the program Mi Flash Unlock;
    • Agree to the Terms of Use and Disclaimer by checking the appropriate checkbox and click Next ;

    • Enter personal information– your device ID and password;

    • Click Login;
    • Wait a little - during this time the device will see and identify your smartphone;
    • The Unblock button will become active - click on it;

    • Wait for the process to complete and disconnect the phone from the computer;
    • Now reboot the device and install the new, previously downloaded firmware on it.

    The bootloader will remain unlocked no matter how many times you reboot the phone.

    Most often, users of Xiaomi smartphones encounter using a mi account the only time before any problems arise - when setting up the phone for the first time. Therefore, the difficulty of entering a password if necessary later is quite topical issue. So, I forgot the password for my mi account - what should I do?

    Mi Account

    is a profile linked to a smartphone in the Xiaomi operating system, the registration of which the phone requests the very first time it is turned on. This account must have when using any Xiaomi phone.

    • Synchronizes various Xiaomi brand accessories with the appropriate applications on the phone (for example, with Mi Fit, access to information with Xiaomi Mi Smart Scale, etc.);
    • Allows you to change the design of desktops and application menus on your phone (replacing themes);
    • Gives access to resetting settings (since resetting settings is the complete or partial removal of information and files from the phone, Xiaomi must make sure that it is really you who is doing this);
    • Receiving new versions of phone firmware, replacing them or notification of their arrival;
    • Operation various services from the Xiaomi brand;

  • Installing official firmware with Oxygen bootloader | MiFlash

  • Xiaomi does a lot to ensure the security of its smartphones. In my operating system MIUI has built in the ability to link the gadget to an MI account. This is done in order to quickly find a lost or stolen gadget, as well as to block or remote reset settings. Apple has used this feature for a long time - Xiaomi also does not want to retreat in the security rating. But there are times when the code or other data from the Mi account is lost or forgotten on smartphones Xiaomi Redmi 4X or Xiaomi Redmi 4a. Resetting your Mi account can not only help you out in a situation with lost phone, but also useful if you cannot unlock the bootloader or use other Xiaomi services.

    In today's article we will deal with the following things:

    • how to unlink your account from your phone if you have or don’t have access to your profile;
    • how to reset your Xiaomi account on your smartphone.

    How to unlink your phone from your Mi account

    Why does it become necessary to unlink your Xiaomi smartphone from your Mi account? For example, you decide to sell your phone and do not want anyone to use your confidential data that is stored in account. There are also cases when you need to unlock your device, but you mistakenly linked the gadget to an account that has reached the maximum allowed number of bootloader unlocks.

    If you have access

    This is the easiest way to unlink an account from your device. To do this, you need to have a smartphone and data for your Mi account. To do this, follow these steps:

    • go to “Settings” on your device;

    • go to “Mi Account”;

    • select your account and click on “Delete account from phone”;

    • enter the password and ID if the device requires it and unlink the phone from the account.

    Complete unbinding occurs within a few days. You can receive a message about the successful completion of unlinking to the unlinked phone number or email that was specified during registration.

    If you don't have access

    It is much more difficult to unlink your Mi account from your smartphone if you do not have any data from the account, because you need to remember the ID and password, but due to unknown circumstances you do not have this data. Then one of two things will help: firmware or a full reset of the gadget to factory settings. In any case, all data is on your internal storage will be deleted along with contacts, messages, passwords, photos and other data. Naturally, this is a radical method, but humanity, alas, has not come up with another.

    Reset the gadget or Hard Reset It is advisable to do this not from the settings, but using stock or custom Recovery menu or recovery environment. It's more reliable way, because if you perform a similar procedure from the settings menu, then your account may not be affected, which is not what we need. After full reset you get not only a clean MIUI system, but also the absence of any linked Mi account. Please note that unbinding will also not happen instantly, but over several days or within a day.

    ...but you can try this too

    Reflashing the device works in the same way as the above method. During this procedure there is full formatting built-in flash drive along with all data and account unlinking Xiaomi records. It is advisable to resort to this method only when the smartphone has other problems other than simply unlinking the account. The firmware is flashed using the Mi Flash program or special tools for Fastboot (an unlocked bootloader is required). There is no need to dwell on this in detail, as there are other instructions on the topic of flashing firmware for Xiaomi smartphones.

    The above methods are not the last, since there is an even more “radical” way - try to write in technical support Xiaomi. Please note that it will not take a day to solve such a problem, but weeks may pass until those. support will make sure of your benevolent actions and check whether you are a scammer. To do this, you may be asked to take a photo of the device box, the stickers on it, take a photo of the receipt or order in an online store, etc.

    What to do if you forgot your Mi account password

    There is a similar situation here with decoupling. You can reset your password if:

    • you have access to your mobile device account;
    • you do not have access to your Xiaomi account.

    Let's look at the first option. If you have forgotten your Xiaomi account password, you can recover it directly from your browser on your computer. To get started, follow this link: https://account.xiaomi.com/pass/forgetPassword. On this page you will see a form in which you need to enter the linked phone number.

    Select the country code and enter the remaining numbers. In the following form you need to confirm the agreement to send a letter to your email box. Click the "Send" button or the "Enter" key. Go to your email and copy the received security code to new uniform. Please note that the email with the code may be sent to your Spam folder - be sure to check it.

    After this, you will have access to fields in which you can enter a new password and confirmation for it for your account linked to Redmi 4x. Click on “Submit” and wait for the operation to complete successfully. Don't forget to write down your new password on a piece of paper or save it in text document on your PC so as not to lose it in the future.

    If you do not have a password or a linked SIM card along with access to email, you can try writing to Xiaomi support. The approval time for an application to restore access can take from several weeks to a month. During this time, you will safely communicate with consultants of a famous brand, send them photographs of the box of your device as confirmation that you are not a fraudster and you have not stolen this device, and you want to receive someone else’s Mi account data. You can write to support using the following methods: email addresses: [email protected] And [email protected]. If these methods did not help you, unlinking it and creating a new one on the official Xiaomi website will help solve the problem with your account.
