• The best mice for a computer. How to choose a gaming mouse

Choosing a gaming mouse is a difficult process that must be approached with utmost responsibility. Poor ergonomics, unreliability, slow response and other disadvantages of the manipulator can not only worsen the results of gaming sessions, but also cause pain in the hand. A suitable mouse is especially important for users who have connected their lives with eSports or are planning to devote their time to it. But how to choose a model that suits your individual requirements? Understand this issue Our TOP of the best gaming mice will help, divided for convenience into three popular categories.

What to look for when choosing a gaming mouse

We won't describe basic parameters choice computer mice, but we will indicate only those that are important directly for gamers:

    1. DPI. This indicator indicates the resolution of the sensor. Simply put, we are talking about the number of position changes that the mouse makes in 1 inch of movement. If the DPI indicator is 1000, then there will also be 1000 changes in location. Ideally, we are talking about the number of “passed” points, but in reality a lot also depends on the settings on the PC (pointer movement speed).
    2. Connection method. We are talking about wired and wireless models. The former are the preferred choice for eSports players, as well as users who want to demonstrate noticeable success in multiplayer projects. The wireless connection type is convenient, but prone to interruptions and interference.
    3. Response time. Measured in hertz, it indicates the frequency at which the processor polls the mouse. Hertz is equal to one action per second. Most modern mice have a response time of 1 millisecond.
    4. Additional buttons. They are available in all game controllers, so you need to pay attention to their variety and convenience. Also keep in mind that not all games will require a lot of auxiliary buttons, and in some cases it may not be practical to choose a specific model just because of them.
    5. Proprietary software. Required for setup additional keys, lighting and other parameters of the “rodent”.

The mouse's maximum acceleration is 25G, which is quite typical for a gaming device. As for the resolution, it varies from 200 to 6000 dpi and is switched with a button near the wheel.

    • durable braided wire
    • aluminum legs
    • infrared switches

    Logitech G G603 lightspeed Black-Grey USB

Excellent wireless mouse The G603 is today one of the most advanced in the lightspeed line. The device works from 2 AA batteries type AA, a full charge of which, according to the manufacturer, will last for 500 hours of continuous gaming session! If you evaluate autonomy by the average time a person spends on a PC every day, then you can count on about one and a half to two months of gaming.

For convenience, the user has 5 levels of sensor sensitivity from 200 to 12000 dpi. An important advantage of the G603 is the ability to flexibly configure the keys to suit the needs of the gamer. Moreover, the mouse is compatible not only with computers on Windows based(8 and newer), but also with Mac OS, Chrome OS and even Android (from version 5.0)! Razer Lancehead Black USB

Among wireless gaming mice, the Lancehead model, developed by Razer, is considered one of the best solutions. Excellent design, convenient shape, complete symmetry, allowing you to use the mouse equally comfortably with both right and left hands - these are just some of the advantages of the device under review. To this it is also worth adding the ability to work not only in wireless, but also in wired mode, which makes Lancehead an excellent choice for computer games, and for other tasks.

Of course, you have to vote for all this beauty in rubles, and you can buy a Razer mouse for about 8,000 rubles. However, the manufacturer could easily set the price higher, since Lancehead has no worthy competitors. To be more precise, the same accurate sensor (16 thousand dpi) has not yet been found in hybrid “rodents”, if you do not take into account other products of the Razer brand itself.

    Advantages:

    • wonderful corporate style
    • perfectly calibrated shape
    • customizable additional buttons
    • extensive functionality
    • price/quality ratio
    • sensor sensitivity
    • beautiful lighting

    Flaws:

    • not the best software

Logitech G G900 Chaos Spectrum Black USB

One of the most functional mice in the wireless device category is the G900 Chaos Spectrum from Logitech. Impeccable Swiss quality is noticeable in all the details of the mouse: a high-quality body, an advanced sensor with a resolution of 12000 dpi, a scroll wheel with side buttons and a function for quickly scrolling through pages - these advantages are an important argument for purchasing this device.

Advice! If you are not looking to save money on purchasing peripherals, then you can safely buy the G900 model. It has a comfortable shape and is suitable for both right-handers and left-handers. The mouse can operate via a wired or wireless connection, and the user has enough additional keys for any task.

The best model of gaming mouse works with a wireless connection from the built-in battery. Flaws:

    • Some keys may have slight play
    • quite high price

    The best wired gaming mice

ASUS ROG GX860 Buzzard Mouse Black USB

Within the ROG line from ASUS you can find monitors, laptops, video adapters and, of course, good peripherals. The manufacturer offers a lot of models worthy of attention, but the attention of our editors was attracted by one of the best gaming mice of the Taiwanese brand - the GX860 Buzzard. This is high quality and beautiful mouse no frills, the cost of which starts from about 3,000 rubles.

Advice! If you're looking for a good pointing device that doesn't come with unnecessary options that just add to the price, then go for the GX860.

The device is made of high-quality matte plastic that does not collect fingerprints. Among the decorations on the body of the popular ASUS laser mouse, there is only illumination of the corporate logo on the back, as well as several zones in the front of the manipulator. On the left and right behind there are two more illuminated areas to indicate the operating mode.

The ASUS ROG GX860 resolution is 8200 dpi, which is enough for any games. There are a total of 8 keys on the mouse body:

    • left and right;
    • central (wheel);
    • two for changing the dpi value;
    • forward and backward;
    • one additional one on the left side.

Buyers of the device note the fast response of all buttons and the wheel, as well as the ability to fine-tune it to their own preferences.

    What I liked:

    • reasoned price tag
    • attractive appearance
    • pleasant and non-intrusive lighting
    • simplicity and ease of customization to your own preferences
    • optimal sensor sensitivity
    • high-quality switches have a service life of 5 million clicks

Logitech G G502 Proteus Core Black USB

The next participant in the rating combines many advanced features that not only increase functionality, but significantly increase convenience. The Pixart 3366 optical sensor is one of the advantages of the G502 Proteus Core mouse, as it boasts a resolution of 12000 dpi. Of course, not everyone needs such an indicator, but experienced gamers will certainly appreciate this advantage.

Advice! The presence of 11 programmable keys in the G502 Proteus Core allows you to customize the mouse strictly for your tasks. By the way, this is the largest number of additional buttons among gaming controllers in our rating.

Trying to provide better ergonomics, Logitech not only perfectly thought out the shape of the mouse, but also provided it with a set of weights. By adding and subtracting them, the user can adjust the weight of the gaming mouse in the range from 121 to 168 g.

The G502 Proteus Core polling rate is 1 kHz, which is also true for other models in this category. But the unique feature of the manipulator is the 32-bit microprocessor, which ensures phenomenal operating speed.

    Advantages:

    • DPI adjustment from 200 to 12000
    • advanced sensor
    • 32-bit processor
    • ergonomic shape and Teflon feet that ensure smooth gliding
    • 11 keys for recording macros
    • perfect build quality

    Flaws:

    • keys are too noisy
    • mediocre wire quality

    Razer Basilisk Black USB

Basilisk is comparatively new mouse Razer. It could be called the best choice for computer games, if not for the too high cost of 6 thousand rubles. The ergonomics of this manipulator are at the highest level, which clearly distinguishes it from its competitors. Attractive design, discreet green illumination of the wheel and logo, as well as high quality case materials – all this also deserves the attention of experienced players.

However, these advantages are clearly not among the most impressive things that the Razer Basilisk can boast of. The fact is that we have a gaming mouse with a very high DPI resolution, surpassing any other participant in the rating. This figure here is equal to an impressive 16 thousand dots per inch! Together with lightning-fast switches and 3 additional buttons, the reviewed model becomes one of the best choices for fans of online shooters.

Two auxiliary keys in Basilisk are presented in the form of the usual “forward/backward”, but the third is worth talking about separately. Among other mice in the TOP, Razer's solution stands out not only for the location of the button, but also for the possibility of replacing it (long and short pedals). If you don’t need the third key on the left side at all, then instead of it you can simply install a plug, which is also included in the package.

    Advantages:

    • perfect ergonomics
    • one of the best sensors on the market
    • laconic and recognizable design
    • possibility of adjusting the wheel resistance
    • replaceable additional button
    • high quality materials
    • high quality braided wire

    Flaws:

    • minor problems with the software
    • Backlight settings are not remembered
    • the cost is a bit high

Logitech G G Pro Gaming Mouse Black USB

If you prefer multifunctional gaming mice for Logitech brand shooters, but the Proteus Core described above does not appeal to you, then pay attention to another solution from the G-line - G Pro Gaming. Already from the name of the mouse it is clear that it was created to meet the requirements of professional cybersportsmen.

Advice! When you purchase G Pro Gaming, you get a comfortable, beautiful and reliable device at a reasonable cost. The device has no unnecessary functions that would increase its cost, which makes the Logitech manipulator the best both in the category of wired models and in the review in general.

At a quick glance computer mouse The G Pro is very similar to the smaller G102 Prodigy. Similar dimensions, weight and body materials make these devices very similar. And if you don’t need the benefits of the more advanced version that we selected for review below, then you can save money. We preferred G Pro Gaming for several reasons:

    1. Fabric braid. An important plus that guarantees greater cable durability.
    2. The presence of Velcro. A small but pleasant bonus that allows you to quickly assemble the mouse for travel if you use it with a laptop, or “shorten” the cable for a computer.
    3. Higher DPI. As much as 12 thousand versus 6000 dpi for the younger model! Experienced gamers will be able to appreciate all the advantages of this indicator in practice.

    Advantages:

    • flawless assembly
    • first-class sensor is very precise in positioning
    • one of the best “rodents” in terms of ergonomics
    • customizable RGB logo lighting
    • Flexibility of configuration and ease of use of the software

    Flaws:

    • the price tag is a little high

    Conclusion

Do you game just for fun and want to save money on gaming peripherals? In this case, you should pay attention to budget models. They will do an excellent job with their direct responsibility, but will not hit the budget. If you want to play or control your PC from a distance, then choose wireless models.

Today mice of this class can provide good performance and excellent ergonomics. For pros, the choice of a good gaming mouse is completely obvious - high-quality, top-level wired solutions.

The computer is primarily controlled using the mouse. Every year their range on the market is replenished with hundreds of models different manufacturers. It becomes quite difficult to choose just one; you have to pay attention even to small details that can affect your comfort while working. We tried to describe in detail each criterion and parameter so that you can correctly decide on the choice of model.

Most users purchase a mouse to perform basic operations on the computer. They simply need to move the cursor around the screen, clicking on the required elements. Those who choose such devices first of all pay attention to the appearance and convenient shape of the device. But there are other details worth considering.

    Appearance

The type of device, its shape and size are the first things every user pays attention to. Most office computer mice have a symmetrical shape, which allows left- and right-handed people to have a comfortable grip. Sizes range from the smallest, so-called laptop mice, to giant ones, ideal for large palms. Rarely are the sides rubberized, and in production most often ordinary plastic is used.

In more expensive models, there is a backlight, the coating is made of soft touch plastic, and the sides and wheel are rubberized. There are hundreds of office mouse manufacturers, each of them is trying to stand out in some way, mainly using design features.

    Specifications

In the low and medium price range, the mouse buttons and sensor are usually developed by an unknown Chinese company, which is why the cost is so low. Don’t even try to find any information about the click resource or polling frequency, most often it’s simply not there. Users who buy such models simply have no need for this information - they do not care about the response speed of the buttons, the model of the sensor and its lift-off height. The cursor movement speed in such mice is fixed, can vary from 400 to 6000 DPI and depends on the specific model. Pay attention to the DPI value - the higher it is, the higher the speed.

There are office mice in a high price range. Most of them are equipped with an optical sensor rather than a laser one, which allows you to change the DPI value using driver settings. Some manufacturers indicate in the specifications the sensor model and the resource of pressing each button.

    Connection interface

On at the moment There are five types of connections, but PS/2 mice are practically impossible to find on the market, and we do not recommend purchasing them. Therefore, we will consider in detail only four types:

It is worth paying attention to some mice that can work both from Wireless or Bluetooth, and from a USB connection, thanks to the ability to connect a cable. This solution is present in models with a built-in battery.

    Additional features

In very rare cases, office mice may have additional buttons. They are configured using the driver, where the active profile is selected. If such software is available, then there should be an internal memory in which the saved changes are located. Internal memory allows you to save settings in the mouse itself, after which they will be automatically applied when connected to a new device.

    The best manufacturers

If you are looking for something in the low price range, we recommend paying attention to Defender and Genius. They are superior to competitors in the quality of materials and parts used. Certain models They serve for several years without problems. These mice can only be connected via USB. The normal price for the average representative of cheap office devices is 150-250 rubles.

The undoubted leader in the mid-price range is A4tech. They release good product for a relatively low price. Representatives with a Wireless connection appear here, but there are often malfunctions due to low quality details. The prices of such devices vary from 250 to 600 rubles.

All models above 600 rubles are considered expensive. They are distinguished by better build quality, well-developed details, and sometimes there are additional buttons and backlighting. Mice of all connection types except PS\2 are on sale. It is difficult to choose the best manufacturers; there are brands such as HP, A4tech, Defender, Logitech, Genius and even Xiaomi.

A mouse for everyday tasks should not be too expensive due to the fact that the production does not use top-end sensors and switches. However, the price varies depending on the connection type and build quality. We recommend paying special attention to the average price range. It's quite possible to find ideal option for 500 rubles or even less. When choosing, pay attention to the shape and size of the device; thanks to the right choice, using it will be as comfortable as possible.

    Choosing a gaming computer mouse

For gamers, finding the perfect gaming device is even more difficult. Prices on the market vary greatly and it is important to understand the reason for this difference. Here it is worth paying more attention to technical characteristics, ergonomics and additional features.

    Specifications

There are several manufacturers of switches in gaming mice. The most popular are Omron and Huano. They have proven themselves to be reliable “buttons”, but in some models the click may be tight. Click resource different models switches range from 10 to 50 million.

Regarding the sensor, we can also note the two most popular manufacturers - Pixart and Avago. A large number of models have already been released, each of them has its own advantages and disadvantages. It’s impossible to list them all, so we recommend studying the information about the sensor on the official website of the mouse manufacturer. For a gamer, the main thing is the absence of disruptions and jerks when lifting the device, and unfortunately, not all sensors can boast of ideal performance in various situations on any surface.

In addition, it is worth paying attention to the common types of mice - laser, optical and mixed. There are no significant advantages of one type over the other, only the optics cope a little better with working on a colored surface.

    Appearance

In appearance, everything is almost the same as in the office versions. Manufacturers are trying to distinguish their model through some details, but no one forgets about ergonomics. Everyone knows that gamers spend many hours on the computer, so it is important to save correct location palms and hands. Good companies pay due attention to this.

Gaming mice are often ambidextrous, but many models have side switches on the left, so only a right-handed grip will be comfortable. There are rubberized inserts, and the device itself is most often made of soft touch plastic, this allows even a sweaty hand not to slip and maintain the grip in its original state.

    Connection interface

Shooters and some other genres require lightning-fast reactions from the player and quick response from the mouse, so we recommend choosing a device with a USB interface for such games. The wireless connection is not yet perfect - it is not always possible to reduce the response rate to 1 millisecond. For other games that do not depend on fractions of a second, a Bluetooth or Wireless connection will suffice.

It is worth paying attention - wireless mice are equipped with a built-in battery or batteries are inserted into them. This makes them several times heavier than their wired counterparts. When choosing such a device, be prepared for the fact that you will have to put in more effort when moving the device across the carpet.

    Additional features and equipment

Often models are equipped a large number additional buttons, which allows you to set a specific action on them. All settings processes are carried out in the driver software present in each gaming mouse model.

In addition, some models have a collapsible design, the kits contain additional weights mounted in the body, and there are also replaceable legs in case the first ones wear out and the sliding is no longer the same.

    The best manufacturers

Large companies sponsor professional players, collaborate with teams and organizations, this allows them to promote their devices among ordinary players. However, devices do not always deserve attention. This is due to the price being inflated several times and even being outperformed by cheaper analogues. Among the worthy manufacturers I would like to mention Logitech, SteelSeries, Roccat and A4tech. There are still a large number of companies, we just gave examples of diverse ones.

Logitech offers top-end equipment at an affordable price.

SteelSeries focuses on eSports without overpricing.

Roccat always has the best sensors and switches, but the price is right.

A4tech became famous for their indestructible X7 model, and also offer decent devices in a low price category.

This also includes Razer, Tesoro, HyperX and other major manufacturers.

    Best choice for eSports

We cannot recommend anything specific for professional players, since there are hundreds of worthy models on the market of various shapes and configurations. Here you need to pay attention to the genre of the game, and then, based on this, select the ideal mouse. We advise you not to pay attention to heavy mice, wireless options and too cheap ones. Monitor the middle and high price ranges, there you will definitely choose the ideal option.

Choose your mouse responsibly, especially if you are a gamer. The right choice will make work or play very comfortable, and the device itself will last for many years. Select the most basic characteristics and, starting from them, select suitable device. We recommend going to the store and feel free to try each mouse to the touch, how it fits in your palm, and whether it’s the right size.

I'll try to explain accessible language without all the abstruse terms that are so rich in the descriptions of modern gaming mice, the main consumer characteristics, in my opinion, the most important for us – consumers (in particular gamers). The article will mainly describe the selection of a device for shooters, namely the world’s favorite online shooter Counter-Strike and, accordingly, those characteristics of the mouse that are most important in these games. Let fans of other genres of games forgive me :), but in my opinion, the form itself, the presence of additional buttons and ease of use with the mouse are more important, which I will also describe below, but the speed and flawless operation of the sensor is not as critical as in shooters.

To begin with, let’s define the very concept of “gaming mouse” or “professional gaming mouse”, how it differs from the usual “peaceful” office rodents that we are used to seeing at work or as part of a standard PC when purchasing.

Gaming mice include that vast mass of models that have more expensive hardware, 2+ times superior in price and characteristics to their cheap office counterparts (I’m not talking about office mice in the middle and high price range, they practically use the same sensors) and before In total, they are intended for use in games by professional and avid gamers in order to achieve maximum accuracy of cursor/aim control, etc.

So, you spend a lot of time in computer online shooters, hone your skills, perhaps participate in some championships on the network/Internet, but you begin to feel that your mouse is not allowing you to fully realize your full potential in the game: the button is stuck , then the cursor (sight) was broken, there wasn’t enough precision in moving the sight 🙂 - that means you’ve grown to a more serious gaming mouse device.

    Sensor

You can say the heart of our mouse, the quality and accuracy of its work determines the overall impression of the product. One of the main characteristics of the sensor is its resolution - dpi (dots per inch), modern lasers have already reached the simply unimaginable figures of 5600 dpi, but in practice in the game a resolution of around 2000 is enough, playing with more high values you may not even notice much of a difference, and such high resolutions will be more useful to people working with various “artistic” as I call them =) applications (design, etc.)

Next comes a characteristic such as maximum acceleration; in the specification it can be 10-50G. G – acceleration of free fall / or g-force in pilots, racers, astronauts, so that it comes to mind what we were taught at school, here is a brief explanation from Wikipedia =)

In our case, these same numbers indicate at what maximum acceleration the mouse cursor will break.

Cursor break: Probably every CS player =) has encountered such a problem when, when playing on a low sense and sharply moving the mouse on the carpet, the aim was disrupted, you turned to the sky and made several turns around your axis - this is called cursor/sight disruption. This happens due to the low quality of the sensor and the mat, which does not have time to read the surface with the acceleration with which you move the mouse across the mat.

For practical experience, after the purchase, you can twitch your mouse from one edge of the mat to the other (naturally, do all this on a normal gaming mat, otherwise, excuse me, G., they shove it at us in any computer store), it is unlikely that you will be able to create that same acceleration G to break the cursor.

Of course, one day I came across an article where cursor stalling in different mouse models was checked by installing this poor experimental rodent =) on a gramophone with a professional rug cut out to fit the shape of a record, this whole miracle was turned on, and then when it stalled, using simple mathematical calculations, knowing the rotation speed plates, the stall acceleration G was calculated.

Gaming mice currently being produced can be equipped with optical/laser sensor, I’ll immediately focus on this point: progress does not stand still and more and more manufacturers are consciously switching to laser, because it is more accurate, faster, and in general superior to optics in almost all respects, but the price of mice equipped with such a sensor immediately increases by 30-50%, depending on the popularity of the brand and the technical features of this very sensor.

For clarity, I will give the cost, taken from the price list of one online store, of almost identical mice of the same brand, but equipped with optical and, accordingly, laser sensors - SteelSeries Ikari Optical / SteelSeries Ikari Laser: 1990 rubles / 2555 rubles. The downside, again, if we consider the financial side of buying such mice, is some capriciousness of the laser on different surfaces, despite the fact that manufacturers unanimously declare stable operation of the sensor on various surfaces, even on a bare table :), so this rodent is included in the kit You will need to purchase a high-quality rug, but we’ll talk about this in more detail below.

Therefore, if you have some financial restrictions on purchasing a professional mouse, you can safely buy optics and there is nothing fatal about it :), fortunately, the sensors that such mice are equipped with are superior to office rodents, and they have the same selectivity to surfaces as lasers There aren’t any, it’s enough to buy a regular rag mat if you don’t currently have the money to purchase a gaming surface.

USB port polling frequency, connection method, availability of internal memory.

Availability of internal memory the mouse has a very big plus because it allows you to save several different profiles, customized for different tasks/games/people, and it simply saves all your individual settings, and when you connect this mouse to another PC, for example at some championship, you do not need to install drivers and configure everything again.

Connection method– well, I won’t go into too much detail here. Currently wireless, mobile, etc. (sometimes even primarily intended for use with computers such as samsung laptops) gaming mice with stable work and without all sorts of glitches, yes, they are convenient and practical, but you shouldn’t trust them with your victory on any even the smallest clan war, so the wire is definitely, and it is desirable that it be long (1.5 m or more), light, elastic and durable at the same time.

Polling frequency USB port and response speed: this seemingly ordinary and not very clear polling frequency (standardly starts at 125 Hz) has a significant impact on the smoothness of the cursor/sight - i.e. the higher the polling frequency, the smoother the cursor movements; now in modern mice it reaches 1000 Hz, but with the help of the supplied drivers it can be reduced according to your preferences.

Mouse response time- for ordinary office ones this value is 8-16 MS, for professional ones 1 MS - i.e. in a time of 1 ms, the command from the mouse will be transmitted to the PC (the response time can be compared with the ping when playing on the Internet - the lower the better). This characteristic also applies to other devices connected via a USB port, for example, headphones, keyboards.

    Mouse shape and ergonomics

First of all, you need to decide on your specific type of mouse grip; they are divided into 3 types:

Palm grip– “...the entire palm covers the mouse, resting on its back. A mouse designed for such a grip should have an ergonomic shape, following all the contours of a cupped palm. The forearm and wrist take part in moving the mouse; this grip is the most natural, allowing you to achieve max. movement speed with a slight loss of accuracy...”

"Claw grip"– “...transitional grip, the back of the mouse is controlled by the palm, the front is held by the thumb and little finger, the index and middle fingers are bent like claws, thus clicking on the main buttons. Large mice, flat in shape, with big buttons. The advantages of this type of grip are high control of movement and the number of clicks per second...”

“Finger grip”– “...the rodent holds itself using only the tips of 4 fingers. Small mice with little height and weight are suitable for this type of grip. Only the hand is involved in the movement, which ensures excellent accuracy...”

The huge mass of gaming mice on the market from many manufacturers can be divided into 2 types depending on the shape: ergonomic/symmetrical. To make my words clearer, when you go to the Razer company’s product section, their mice in the menu are divided into these 2 classes.

Ergonomic(anatomical) shape – close to the natural curve of the palm, i.e. It has all sorts of side cavities for fingers, smooth transitional lines of the body, but to the great disappointment of left-handers, almost all models popular among the PROgaming world are designed for the right hand. It is not clear why manufacturers show such disrespect for left-handed gamers, and very rarely and reluctantly, under public pressure, they can release a rodent specifically designed for left-handers.

Symmetrical– mice respectively have symmetrical shapes, suitable for use with both hands.

I will separately dwell on the topic of the material from which the mice are made, or rather the coating, namely its very important property for us gamers - preventing fingers from slipping.

Here we can also conditionally divide mice into 3 types:

    - an ordinary surface that does not have any anti-slip properties, most often it is glossy shiny plastic, on which the fingers or palm begins to fidget as soon as it sweats from excitement or hot weather;

    - matte, rough, pimply, etc. plastic/steel, which almost completely eliminates slipping of fingers and palms during long virtual battles;

    - special films, rubber coating completely prevent even wet fingers from slipping over the buttons (this is exactly the rubber coating that Razer uses in its mice, but it has a big drawback: it simply has a magnetic ability to collect dirt from your hand, and cleaning it can damage it delicate coating. Therefore, if you are the owner of just such a mouse, then you should clean the buttons/surfaces that are covered with this rubber material with a soft cloth or cotton wool and warm water; you should not use any detergents or alcohol-containing products, and certainly not scrape off this dirt with your nails! =)

But of course, the main indicator is exactly how you feel when holding the mouse; first of all, ask the store clerk to give you at least 3-5 minutes. touch/click the model you like, and then make a decision.

    Basic and additional buttons

I think a gamer with any experience and knowledge in the field of mice understands that not only the convenience and comfort during the game, but also the speed and clarity of clicking depends on the quality of the main mouse buttons.

When choosing and inspecting a mouse before purchasing, I advise you to carefully consider the quality of the buttons themselves, this also applies to additional ones. Are they securely fastened, are they smooth and distinct when pressed, are there any extraneous sounds other than the characteristic click, the coating of the buttons about which I wrote above. The presence of side buttons is a controversial thing, many consider a gaming mouse to be incomplete without them, others on the contrary, but what is especially worth paying attention to is their location, sometimes you are simply surprised at how poorly they are located and with their location they kill the initially wonderful ergonomics of the mouse.

I also think it’s not worth chasing the number of additional buttons, because this is a mouse primarily for shooters, and not a multifunctional one for RPGs/MMOGs like the Razer Naga, which gamers jokingly call a calculator because of the huge number of side buttons.

    Adjustable weight and shape

The presence of a set of weights on the mouse to adjust the weight is undoubtedly a plus; it allows you to adjust the weight of the rodent to the individual preferences of the player - although the weight is large, over 100 grams. not everyone will like it, or, on the contrary, a mouse that is too light will interfere with accurate aiming due to a lack of inertia. In principle, the average gaming mouse should weigh around -90+ grams. But at the same time, it is a kind of distracting factor, because when playing, thoughts about experimenting with weight will pop up, although in fact the weight of the mouse is quite suitable for you...

Some manufacturers offer spare cases of different shapes and weights complete with the mouse.

In my opinion, this is an unjustified and unnecessary fashion feature, and it also significantly increases the overall cost of a generally competitive mouse with excellent technical performance.

    Conclusion

As promised, I’ll focus a little on rugs. A very good comparison was made by one person regarding gaming mouse pads: “Using a gaming mouse on a regular mouse pad is like driving a Ferrari over country bumps =)” Excellent words and strong advice this time.

If you have already bought an expensive gaming mouse, then don’t be greedy and buy a good gaming mat for it, and not the pitiful semblance of mats that are available in every PC store. Then you will fully experience its full potential. new purchase– sensor clarity, speed and smooth movement. Well, the choice of mat material will be determined only by you: it will be rag plastic or a combination.

I’ll just say that rag carpets have a very pleasant tactile sensation and are not as fast as plastic, although there are models with a very fine fabric pattern, but they are still inferior in speed and minimal sliding resistance to plastic carpets (if you are a fan of speed and ease of mouse movement, your choice of plastic).

This article does not pretend to be the only correct one, and a call to action, but is only intended to help young gamers decide on the specific tasks and requirements that they place on their future professional gaming mouse; the final decision on purchasing a particular model is up to you.

I don’t think sophisticated and experienced gamers will learn anything new here, because... Everyone has already formed personal preferences and tastes for each individual model and specific brand. But in any case, if at least one of the people is thinking about buying a device of this kind, this small purchase guide will help you succeed =)

    Date of publication: 08/17/2012

Most modern people the word “mouse” has long ceased to be associated with the corresponding animal. In this article we’ll talk about how not to make a mistake when buying a mouse and what problems may be associated with it. In general, everything is about mice!

    Species

Before buying a mouse, you need to decide which one you want. If you need a laptop mouse, then you need to choose a small one. In addition, a long wire will get in the way, so you need to buy either a wireless one or one with a short wire. You will also have to take into account the fact that laptops do not have a standard PS/2 connector, which means you will have to buy a mouse with a USB connector.

If you are buying a mouse for your computer and you need it not to play, but to surf the Internet and play solitaire, then a regular one will suit you wired mouse. It is better to buy a mouse with a USB connector, since such a mouse is universal and can be connected to a laptop as needed. If you have few USB connectors in your system unit, then buy a mouse with a classic PS/2 connector.

As a rule, high-quality and simple mice for laptops and computers are inexpensive. You can easily buy a high-quality mouse with acceptable characteristics for 500 - 700 rubles. However, such mice actually turn out to be even cheaper - about 300 rubles.

If you often and professionally play (or want to play) computer games, then you should think not only about what kind of computer to buy for games, but also about a high-quality, expensive mouse. This is especially true for people who like to play shooters (aka shooters, FPS). You will feel a noticeable difference between a cheap mouse and a dedicated gaming mouse. These mice are much more expensive, but they also have more functionality.

These mice have many additional buttons that make the game easier.

    Characteristics

So, you came to the store and have a clear (or not so clear) idea of what kind of mouse you want. First of all, look at the size and connector. Then look at the characteristics indicated on the packaging. A cord length of less than 60 cm is perfect for laptops, but will not be sufficient for a computer.

There are no longer ball-drive mice. But there are gyroscopic and induction mice. But you need a regular optical laser mouse. Pay attention to such a characteristic as “dpi”. DPI characterizes the accuracy of the mouse. The higher the dpi, the better. For the average user, mice from 400dpi to 3600dpi will be suitable. For example, I bought an A4Tech Glaser mouse with 1000dpi for 350 rubles. The mouse is very good, exactly the same one worked for me for a year before.

Gamers (lovers of computer games) are better off with special mice that can be adjusted in weight, size, and button settings. The best mice for gamers right now are the Razer Mamba 4G, Razer Imperator 4G, and Logitech G9x.

    Convenience

Pay attention to such an important characteristic as the working surface. Some mice are very picky about the work surface. There are mice that can even work on transparent glass, and there are those that work normally only using a mouse pad.

Sometimes manufacturers lie a little. If you bought a mouse and it hangs a little or slips, then you need a mouse pad. When choosing a rug, pay attention to the material from which it is made. If the rug is made from one piece of low-quality rubber, then it is a bad rug. If the rug is spreading around the edges and getting dirty, then it is also a bad rug. It is better to choose a rug that combines a rubberized (helium) backing and a smooth, slightly rough coating.

If your hand gets tired or is constantly numb, you should think about choosing a rug with a pad.

There is a myth circulating on the Internet that if you have an uncomfortable mouse or an awkward hand position, you can develop a disease (carpal tunnel syndrome). This is just a myth, but still, it’s worth thinking about buying a special rug.

    Reassigning buttons

If you have a multi-button mouse, then the programs for setting them up below will be useful to you.

This program is paid, but it is also limited free version. This program has many useful functions. Although it is paid, it costs only 70 rubles.

This program is free. The downside is the lack of Russian language.

    IntelliPoint - http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=19633
This is a program from Microsoft. They say that this program is not suitable for all types of mice. Another disadvantage is the lack of Russian language.

    This is where I end.
    Thank you for your attention!

    Computer monitoring and prevention

    2 Largest quantity keys 3 4

Computer mouse– the main “weapon” of a modern gamer. In order to not be inferior and even surpass your opponents in online games, a gaming mouse must best suit the user’s needs. Such indicators as ergonomics, ease of placement in the hand, ideal weight, reliable and trouble-free switches, responsive and “non-braking” sensor are important. For professionals, even such an indicator as the number of keys on the mouse body is important. For example, multi-button devices are more suitable for MMORPG games like Dota 2 and StarCraft 2. While for shooters (cs go), small-button models with 5 to 7 customizable keys are better suited.

But before moving directly to the rating, let's remember a few the best manufacturers gaming mice. This list includes both companies specializing in the production of gaming peripherals and “multi-profile” companies that also deal with civilian models.

    • A4Tech. The company was founded in 1987 in China. Currently, the company is the owner of perhaps the largest line of gaming (and not only) mice. The products are very low cost for the segment and are widely available.
    • Razer. It was created in the USA in 1998 as a subsidiary company specializing in the production of mice. Currently, Razer focuses exclusively on gaming devices: mice, keyboards, headphones, etc. The quality is excellent, but the cost can hardly be called budget.
    • SteelSeries. The Danish company is also a specialized manufacturer. The company's assortment includes everything that could be useful for an amateur gamer or a professional eSports player. The manufacturer's mice are minimalist, but feature excellent sensors and relatively affordable prices.
    • Logitech. The Swiss company was founded back in 1981. Logitech produces a wide variety of computer peripherals designed to suit any wallet. There are both cheap mass-produced products and professional devices costing several thousand rubles. The company's gaming mice are widely used and respected by gamers around the world.
    • ASUS. This Chinese company regularly appears in ratings on our website due to the huge list of products it produces. Computer peripherals, smartphones, components – the list could go on for a very long time. Gaming peripherals are released in the ROG (Republic of Gamers) line. It includes, among other things, gaming mice of a unique design and with interesting features.

Our TOP 16 best gaming mice contain some of the best devices in their categories. The main criteria when selecting gaming mice were reliability, popularity, technical features, positive user reviews and price compliance with the stated characteristics.

Best Wireless Gaming Mice – Optical Laser

    4 Razer Mamba Chroma

    Country: USA
    Average price: 9,990 RUR
    Rating (2018): 4.7

Let's start with Razer's flagship gaming mouse. Externally, the model corresponds to the company’s design canons. The shape is without unnecessary problems - just smooth lines of the body and a minimum of buttons for fans of shooters or RPGs. The mouse fits comfortably in almost any hand. The back is made of soft-touch plastic, pleasant to the touch, and the sides are made of tenacious rubber. The main buttons are very pleasant to press and respond quickly. A unique feature is the ability to adjust the pressing force using special regulators on the bottom of the mouse - the force can be changed in the range from 45 to 90 grams. The side buttons are large, comfortable, and have a good click. The only thing I don't like is the wheel. It is a bit tight and practically devoid of cutoffs. Finally, the backlight: the wheel, logo and a pair of side stripes light up. In short, any of your illumination fantasies can be realized through a proprietary application.

The mouse has a record dpi of 16,000. It’s hard to imagine a game where this would be useful. Polling rate is standard for of this class– 1000 Hz. The mouse is powered by a built-in battery, which lasts for 15-20 hours of active play. The device is charged at the docking station. If the mouse runs out of charge during battles, you can simply plug the wire into it and continue playing.

    3 ASUS ROG Spatha

    The most sophisticated mouse
    Country: China
    Average price: 9,950 RUR
    Rating (2018): 4.7

The largest, heaviest, richest set. When describing almost any characteristic of this mouse, you can use the word “best”. ROG Spatha is one of the most expensive in the ranking. The design is very “evil”, futuristic, sharp edges. At the same time, the device fits perfectly in the hand. Of course, if you have enough big hands, because the dimensions and weight (178 grams) are rather large. The palm rests completely on the mouse, because there are rests for the thumb and ring fingers. The plastic is matte and does not attract fingerprints. There are rubber inserts on the sides to prevent slipping. The mouse can be either wireless or wired, in case the built-in battery starts to run out during an important game. By the way, it lasts about 4 days. Charging is done at the docking station.

There are as many as 12 additional keys. All, of course, can be configured via special software. The sensor resolution is not a record - 8200 dpi, but the response speed is phenomenal if connected via wire - 2000 Hz. In the wireless version, the figures are somewhat more modest - 1000 Hz. We would like to make a special mention of the equipment. It includes the mouse itself, a docking station, a pair of cables (one meter in rubber braid and 2 meters in fabric), a pair of spare Omron switches and a hard case for carrying all this stuff.

    2 Logitech G403 Prodigy

    The most compact
    Country: Switzerland
    Average price: 6,000 ₽
    Rating (2018): 4.7

Logitech's G403 Prodigy model stands out somewhat from the general style of the manufacturer. This is not a futuristic “rodent”, but a minimalistic working tool. The dimensions are the smallest in the category, and the weight cannot be called large - 105 grams. If this seems too little, you can add a special weight weighing 10 g, which is hidden at the bottom. The design is classic, there are only a couple of additional buttons on the left side and a DPI switch key. They are made of glossy plastic, which allows them to be distinguished by touch from the rubber coating of the side edges. The latter, by the way, quickly become dirty - if you like cleanliness, keep a cloth at hand. The back is made of soft-touch plastic.

Omron switches - excellent quality, fast response - nothing to complain about. But the wheel let us down. There are no clear cut-offs, pressing is a little tight. Through proprietary PC software, you can configure the color and operating mode of the backlight, the assignment of keys (macros), sensitivity in the range from 200 to 12000 dpi, and even calibrate the mouse for different types surfaces. Overall, the mouse is perfect for shooters of all kinds.

Which gaming mouse is better: laser or optical LED? We suggest studying the table of pros and cons of each type of mouse.

    Mouse type

    Pros

    Cons

    Laser

    Less demanding on surface type

    High accuracy and speed

Low power consumption (a big plus for wireless devices)

    Multifunctionality

    High price

The cursor may "jump and shake" when debris or crumbs hit the work surface

    Optical LED

    Affordable price

    Works great without a mat

    Minimal (almost imperceptible) acceleration

Do not be afraid of dust and dirt on the work surface

Does not work on glossy or glass surfaces

    Slightly lower cursor accuracy

    Not high sensitivity

Consumes more electricity, which is especially bad for wireless devices (the battery drains quickly)

    1 Logitech G602

Favorable price. The best solution for gaming laptop
    Country: Switzerland
    Average price: 5,880 rub.
    Rating (2018): 4.8

Logitech G602 is a universal wireless mouse that is ideal for a gaming laptop. The device runs on two standard AA batteries and can hold a charge for 250 hours of computer gaming. This is one of the best indicators among competitors on the market. The Logitech G602 comes with Delta Zero™ technology, which gives you the most precise mouse pointing possible. This will be especially appreciated by those who love online shooters (cs go, for example). The device's latency is minimal, the polling frequency is 2 ms. A wireless communication range of 3 meters is enough for any user. Some players complain only about the inconvenient placement of the side buttons and the appearance of problems with the “double click” after a long active use(more than a year).

Be that as it may, the Logitech G602 is one of the best-selling wireless laser mice. An attractive price, high-quality case materials, thoughtful ergonomics and optimal technical characteristics have made this model very popular among both beginners and experienced players. First place in our ranking!

Best Wireless Gaming Mice – Optical LED

    4 HAMA uRage Unleashed

    Best price
    Country: Germany
    Average price: 1,380 RUR
    Rating (2018): 4.5

HAMA is an extremely little-known company in our country. The manufacturer's selection of mice is quite large. Basically, these are budget devices. uRage Unleashed was no exception. The appearance can be called classic. The case materials are far from premium, you won’t get a tactile buzz, but everything is put together well. The wheel and logo are illuminated. There are only 2 states - on (flickers smoothly) or off. The presence of five customizable keys is stated, but in fact there is no software for configuration. It is worth noting a unique feature - the ability to adjust the volume with a wheel. But to enable this function you need to pull the switch on the bottom of the mouse. And to scroll back... We also note the presence of a key that emulates a triple click. It will come in handy in games where you need to “click” the enemy.

However, everything is not so bad. The mouse copes well with amateur level gaming. Yes, the polling rate is 500 Hz, which is half that of most competitors. Yes, the sensor can break, but in most games the average gamer will not notice the problems.

    3 A4Tech Bloody Warrior RT7

    Good quality for minimal money
    Country: China
    Average price: RUB 2,163
    Rating (2018): 4.6

Let's climb a little higher on the ladder of evolution of gaming mice. Models from A4Tech are very popular in our country due to their budget price, good appearance and good characteristics. The design is replete with sharp edges and there are several decorative elements. The shape is suitable only for right-handed people due to the massive rest for the thumb and the protrusion for the ring finger. Note the rubberized inserts on the main buttons for better contact. Unlike the previous participant, A4Tech can boast of working software through which you can configure the backlight mode, dpi and reassign keys.

The technical specifications look good on paper, but in reality users report some problems. The most significant is periodic (once every 3-4 hours) cursor freezing for a few seconds, which can cause loss in an online shooter.

    2 Logitech G900

The best optical sensor. Light weight. For professional players
    Country: Switzerland
    Average price: 9,660 rub.
    Rating (2018): 4.7

Logitech G900 is one of the best models for a professional gamer. The mouse can work in both wireless and wired mode. The battery in the device is built-in, and when it starts to run low (the indicator will indicate this), the user can switch the mouse to wired mode and charge it without interrupting the gameplay. charge for wireless mode enough for two days of active games.

The sensor here is the TOP one - Pixart 3366, it works without interruption on any surface, at any speeds and turns. No disruptions or jitters were noticed in numerous tests. The sensor resolution is as much as 12,000 dpi, which is the best indicator in our review. The mouse is equipped with 12 customizable buttons, some of which, namely the side ones, are removable. To store the removed keys, the kit includes a case, and a plug is placed in the free space.

The scroll wheel deserves a special plus. This is all the same wheel with side clicks and proprietary scrolling from Logitech. Normal scrolling can be replaced by fast scrolling, when the wheel, after light scrolling, begins to rotate for a long time.

    Video review

    Sensor

The most popular and reliable sensors are those of the Avago company, the rights to which were recently purchased by another well-known company, Pixart.

    Switches (micrics)

The highest quality microphones are considered to be from Omron, which, unlike switches from other companies, do not suffer from “double clicks”. These are more reliable and proven switches, but mice with Omron microphones are somewhat more expensive.

    Number of keys

The choice of model based on the number of keys depends on the genre of the game. For example, for the online shooter cs go, a small-button mouse with 3 to 4 keys is better suited. For MMO/MOBA/DOTA2, multi-button mice are often used, with at least 10 programmable keys.

    Wheel

On sale you can find mouse wheels with mechanical and optical encoder. Most of the well-known models are equipped with mechanical ones. Wheels with an optical encoder are much less common, but they are considered more durable.

    Weight

The heavier the mouse, the more accurately you can hover the cursor (target the enemy), but the slower this will happen. On the contrary, a light mouse will be very fast, but not as accurate. Therefore, for some games it is very important to choose a mouse with a “golden mean”, not so heavy, but not too light. There are gaming mice on sale in which you can adjust the weight using special weights.

    1 Logitech G603 lightspeed

    Best price/performance ratio
    Country: Switzerland
    Average price: 4,383 RUR
    Rating (2018): 4.8

Logitech seems to make the best value-for-money wireless mice on the market. The G603 lightspeed model does not lower the bar either. In design and shape it is practically full copy model G403 discussed above. Even the impressions of the controls are similar: the buttons are gorgeous, the wheel is no good. Of course, there are also more than enough differences. The back of the mouse is attached with magnets, and therefore can be easily removed for cleaning and installation of AA batteries. By the way, they can be used to “adjust” the weight of the mouse, because the G603 can operate on either one or two batteries. IN economy mode they should be enough for 18 months of work. But for gaming, it is recommended to enable performance mode - the switch is located on the bottom of the mouse. There, engineers placed a button to switch between Bluetooth and the radio channel. This is useful, for example, when used with a laptop and desktop PC at the same time. There are no questions about sensor speed, polling frequency and other indicators. In games, if the mouse fails, it is extremely rare.

Best Wired Gaming Mice – Optical Laser Mice

    4 A4Tech XL-747H Black

Favorable price. Best Selling Laser Mouse
    Country: China
    Average price: RUB 1,679.
    Rating (2018): 4.5

Fourth place in the rating is A4Tech XL-747H, a budget gaming mouse for beginners. This is very popular model, which is perfect for users who do not have serious requirements for the mouse. The XL-747H has earned high popularity due to its low price, durable design, flexible dpi settings and the ability to work on any surface.

The body of the device has removable weights that allow you to choose the optimal weight for each player. The wheel is very comfortable, rubberized, and does not make noise when scrolling. The design of the mouse and the side surface for the thumb also contain rubberized inserts, which creates additional comfort during use. Using a special button (next to the wheel), you can instantly change the sensitivity of the mouse, which is very convenient for online shooters.

Among the disadvantages are a too rigid cord and a quickly wearing anti-slip coating. However, you probably shouldn’t expect anything more from a budget gaming mouse.

    3 Razer Abyssus 2014

    Best quality for minimal money
    Country: USA
    Average price: 2,390 RUR
    Rating (2018): 4.6

Inexpensive gaming mouse from Razer. It sounds unusual, but such a model really exists. The Abyssus model has been on the market since 2014, but for most amateur gamers it will still be relevant now. The design is as simple as possible: the rodent with a matte back and rubberized sides fits perfectly in the hand. Moreover, it doesn’t matter whether you are left-handed or right-handed - a symmetrical body will suit anyone. Apart from the two main buttons and the wheel, there is nothing. It’s perfect for shooters, but otherwise it’s not for everyone. Only the logo is highlighted. There are two modes: on and off.

Sensor resolution 3500 dpi, polling frequency 1000 Hz. The sensor does not break, it clearly processes all movements. There is simply nothing to complain about. Abussus earns back its money 100%

    2 SteelSeries Sensei Rubberized

    Largest number of keys
    Country: Denmark
    Average price: 4,990 RUR
    Rating (2018): 4.7

If it seems like a long time ago for a mouse from Razer, take a look at the SteelSeries Sensei. This model has been produced since 2012 (!). At the same time, the mouse not only has not lost its relevance, it has not even become cheaper. The design is symmetrical, suitable for both right-handers and left-handers. There are more buttons than competitors. In addition to the two main ones and the sensitivity switch button, there are 4 side keys - a pair on each side. It’s difficult to talk about materials, because a huge number of options were produced with different stylizations. In general, there are two options for the back - gloss or matte plastic. Both resist abrasion well, but the glossy one is easier to wipe off fingerprints. But the side edges take on an unpresentable appearance after a couple of years of use. I’m telling you this as a long-time owner of Sensei.

The clarity of movement, clicks, the wheel - everything works great. Polling frequency is standard 1000 Hz. The sensor resolution can be changed in the range from 100 to 5670 dpi. All manipulations are carried out through proprietary software. The sensitivity, backlight mode, as well as the function of all (even the main) buttons are adjusted.

    1 ASUS ROG Gladius

The best combination of price and quality
    Country: China
    Average price: 4,789 RUR
    Rating (2018): 4.8

ASUS gaming mice are good as always. The design of the gladius differs from its competitors in that it is not suitable for left-handers due to its shape. The back cover is very pleasant to the touch, the sides hold well in your hands due to the textured rubber material. By the way, dirt gets stuck in it, which is not very pleasant. Additional buttons differ in texture, which makes searching easier by touch. In addition, they are designed to be clicked with a slide - convenient. Below the main buttons are Omron 20 million click switches. If necessary, you can independently replace them with “micrics” with a different pressing force and a shorter (1 million) resource.

The sensor resolution is 6400 dpi. Polling frequency – 2000 Hz. Such indicators are quite enough even for professional cybersportsmen. We would like to make a special mention of the equipment. In addition to the mouse and the already mentioned switches, it includes replaceable feet, 2 cables (2 m with braid and 1 m without braid) and a carrying case.

Best Wired Gaming Mice – Optical LED

    4 A4Tech Bloody Winner T7 Black

    Best price
    Country: China
    Average price: 1,480 rub.
    Rating (2018): 4.5

Fourth place in the rating is A4Tech Bloody Winner T7, an improved version of the popular gaming mouse A4Tech Bloody V7. This model is in demand due to its affordable price (only $20) and excellent technical equipment compared to its closest competitors. Many users praise the top-end clickers (switches) from Omron, the high-quality Avago sensor with a resolution of 4000 dpi, the indestructible iron legs and the high-quality impact-resistant plastic that makes up the mouse body. Additionally, the body is covered with soft-touch plastic, pleasant to the touch.

Another advantage of the Bloody Winner T7 is the optical wheel with a resource of more than a million scrolls. Many also note the comfortable rubber inserts on the main buttons (left and right). Among the shortcomings of the model, one can note complaints about the meager equipment (which is partly due to the low price of the mouse itself) and poor software.

    3 Razer Lancehead Tournament Edition

Best optical sensor resolution (16,000 dpi)
    Country: USA
    Average price: 5,990 RUR
    Rating (2018): 4.7

Here is a top-end wired mouse from Razer. The shape is somewhat reminiscent of the SteelSeries Sensei discussed above, but with Raiser’s signature features in the form of small protrusions along the edges of the main keys. The mouse is symmetrical, suitable for both right-handers and left-handers. The back is made of branded plastic, which is pleasant to the touch and does not get dirty, but can wear out over time and become glossy. There are grippy rubber inserts on the sides. Due to the textured pattern, dirt can get stuck in it - this is a minus. The side buttons are small, due to the symmetry of the mouse. With such dimensions they do not interfere, but at the same time they are quite convenient to use.

Under the main buttons are Omron switches for 50 million clicks. The wheel is excellent, with a clear short-throw click and good cut-offs. The Pixart 3389 sensor does not falter or tremble – it will not let you down at the critical moment. Resolution – record 16000 dpi. Of course, all parameters, including excellent backlighting, are configured through proprietary software. You can quickly switch between configured profiles using the button on the bottom of the mouse.

    2 SteelSeries Rival 100

    Popular model
    Country: Denmark
    Average price: 3,490 ₽
    Rating (2018): 4.7

Rival 100 is an inexpensive model in the SteelSeries line of mice. The shape of the mouse is typical for the company. Design without unnecessary details, simple symmetrical shape. However, the side buttons are located only on the left side, which means Rival fits better for right-handed people. There are small complaints about them - they are difficult to feel, and pressure is not perceived from the entire surface. The material is the same as on many other mice from the company - it is pleasant to the touch, wear-resistant, but gets very dirty. There are no complaints about the switches under the main keys (Omron for 30 million clicks) and the wheel. The sensor is also good - 3059SS - works clearly. Problems arise only at maximum dpi values (4000).

We also note that there is no way to clearly adjust the sensitivity - the value is adjusted in steps of 250 dpi, i.e., for example, you won’t be able to set it to 400. Otherwise, there is nothing to complain about the software. The backlight deserves special attention - in addition to standard effects, you can turn on GameSense. This mode allows you to signal with color your level of lives, frags, etc. The list of games is modest - CS:GO, DOTA 2 and Minecraft - but the function is interesting.

Better ergonomics. High-quality sensor at 12000 dpi
    Country: Switzerland
    Average price: 5,650 rub.
    Rating (2018): 4.8

A worthy first place in the ranking of LED gaming mice is occupied by the Logitech G502 PROTEUS. This is a flagship model, with a cool futuristic design and a comfortable design. The mouse body is covered with stain-resistant matte plastic with rubberized side inserts, which ensures a grippy position in the hand. There is a weight adjustment system and horizontal scrolling. The proprietary metal wheel with fast scrolling helps you view very long documents and web pages on Facebook or VK.

The sensor in the G502 PROTEUS is implemented at the highest level, it provides soft and smooth movement in the game. The resolution is 12,000 dpi, which is a lot for optics. The main switches come from Omron, with a resource of 20 million clicks. A separate plus can be placed on the Teflon legs, due to which the device easily glides over both fabric and plastic.

The mouse is very popular among both beginners and experienced players. The number of available keys here is 11, which is more than enough for any MMO game. Although the Logitech G502 PROTEUS is often purchased specifically for online shooters. The wire is protected from bending, but, according to users, it is too thick.
