Such metal is carefully processed so that the user notes excellent tactile sensations. The all-metal body received rounded corners for better ergonomics. Symmetry dominates here, so all the elements are arranged accordingly. At the bottom there is a microUSB connector, and there are also multimedia speaker grilles. But the audio jack is placed on the top edge. The entire front side is covered with a very stylish 2.5D glass. Directly below the screen is mechanical button for mTouch 2.1 navigation, which has a built-in fingerprint scanner. The gadget has a 4100 mAh battery. This battery guarantees long time battery life. Here the operating android system 5.1 along with the proprietary Flyme 5 shell. In the AnTuTu test this model easily gaining about 46000-48000 points. With many daily tasks, the smartphone copes confidently. Almost all games run smoothly, if you do not overestimate the level of graphics to the maximum.

    Communication and sound

The Meizu M3 Note has a multimedia speaker that stands out, which is really loud here. Sound detail is quite good. The interlocutors are perfectly audible through speaker. The device supports 4G TD-LTE and FDD-LTE wireless networks, as well as Bluetooth 4.0.

    Camera

Meizu M3 Note has a 13-megapixel camera with dual-color flash, f/2.2 aperture, panoramic lens and phase detection autofocus. TrueBright ISP technology makes it possible to take a bright picture even in poor lighting conditions. The 5-megapixel f/2.0 front camera allows you to capture very high-quality self-portraits.

    conclusions

It is unlikely that the M3 Note has gone far ahead of its predecessor, but it certainly received very necessary and high-quality improvements. It's really balanced smartphone which is worth every dollar or ruble spent.

    • High quality aluminum body.
    • Great modern design.
    • Excellent indicators of autonomy.
    • Fast fingerprint scanner.
    • Massive display with a juicy picture.

    Minuses:

    • The smartphone does not take good pictures in the evening.
    • There may be software problems with some firmware.

    Video reviews

Recently there was a presentation Meizu Pro 6, which has become an outstanding novelty in the smartphone market. Today, another model from a well-known Chinese manufacturer is next in line - meizu m3 note. The device is the next generation of one of the company's most popular and successful gadget lines. The model belongs to the middle price segment and has good characteristics and even more favorable cost. It is impossible to find fault with the build quality, and the materials for the case are perfectly matched, as for a budget device.

    Ergonomics and case design

Smartphones Chinese company already habitually imitate the overseas manufacturer. But in this case the manufacturer decided to bring a few fresh notes to general form. If we consider the front panel, then the device can be confused with Apple iPhone 6s plus. Although the back side gives out in it rather Xiaomi Redmi note 3.

If you decide meizu m3 note buy, then first of all you should pay attention to the 5.5 ”screen, which differs good angles review and brightness. Above it you can see the speaker, as well as the front camera and a standard set of sensors. Under the display is a hardware-touch button, which is complemented by a built-in fingerprint scanner.

The speed and efficiency of the sensor is not satisfactory. With it, you can not only protect the device from third-party users, but also put protection on certain applications. With a normal key press, you can access the screen, as well as minimize an application that is in this moment is being executed. In this case, the button acts as the Home button.

The right side is used for the location of large mechanical keys, which stand out significantly from the background of the body. They are smooth and distinct. Standard connectors are located on the top and bottom edges of the device, including microUSB and a headphone jack. The hybrid tray for SIM cards and storage is located on the left.

The back cover has a streamlined shape, so from the side you may get the impression that the device has an all-metal body. Plastic inserts are located at the bottom and top of the cover, they cover the antennas. Their color is fully consistent with the shade metal surface, therefore, their presence can be noticed only when touched.

From above you can see the camera module with a flash, and closer to the center is the company logo.

The meizu m3 smartphone has a compact size of 153.6 x 75.5 x 8.2 mm with a weight of 163 grams. The device is comfortable to hold in the palm of your hand. Given the 4100 mAh capacitive battery, one can only wonder how the manufacturer managed to make the gadget so thin. Externally, the device looks quite expensive and presentable. Buyers have the option to choose between a silver or gold case.

    Smartphone screen

pleasant surprise meizu m3 note, price which is low, was the use of a 5.5-inch display, the resolution of which reaches 1920x1080. The manufacturer decided to opt for a quality IPS matrix, and also abandoned the air gap. Availability protective glass should be attributed to the pluses of the model.

Thanks to rounded edges glass, the smartphone looks more aesthetically pleasing. In addition, this form allows you to feel increased comfort during operation. Often meizu m3 notereviews indicate that the device supports MiraVision 2.0. And that's really important, because this technology allows you to significantly improve picture quality and reduce energy consumption.

The pre-sale version is somewhat short of the declared brightness and contrast indicators, but without taking into account the test results, we can safely say that the smartphone’s display is quite good. gadget meizu m3 laptop features small bezels and natural color reproduction. The model has a significant margin of brightness, which allows you to use it even in sunny weather with maximum comfort. Users also have the option to enable automatic brightness adjustment. From others important points It is worth pointing out that the device received an excellent oleophobic coating.

    Soft devices

Our meizu m3 notereview allowed us to discover that, in addition to Android 5.1, the company decided to supplement the device with its own Flyme OS shell. There were no questions regarding the smoothness of the interface during the testing process.

A feature of this shell is the absence of a separate menu with applications. The workspace is represented by a desktop, on which all necessary applications. At the bottom is a panel for the four most popular folders or applications.

The pinch gesture allows you to go to the desktop settings menu. Here you can see three items that allow you to change the order of shortcuts, set wallpapers and manage widgets.

For user convenience meizu m3 note 16 gb all settings are summarized in 17 groups. Most of them repeat the settings of stock Android, so it will not be difficult to figure them out.

It is worth paying attention to some native applications. There are many in the gallery advanced settings to edit pictures. With this editor, you can meet the basic needs of most users.

Thanks to the "Security" application, a deep check of the system is provided, as well as its optimization. With the help of this program, it is possible to clean the RAM and ROM, as well as provide control over mobile traffic.

Meizu m3 laptop review which is in front of you, pleased with the functionality file manager, which allows you to edit and move folders and their contents.

    Multimedia

If you use statistics, then more than half of smartphone owners use their gadgets every day to listen to music. Approximately the same number does not represent life without speakerphone. It is impossible to provide such functions without high-quality sound reproduction. For this reason, the company paid enough attention to this indicator, which we were able to detect during the testing process. The coefficient of non-linear distortion does not exceed 95 dB, which is not available to all modern devices.

The speaker has a significant margin of volume, although we are not talking about amazing sound. In terms of video playback, it is worth noting the use of H.264 and H.265 formats, so the model plays Full HD video without any problems. The architecture does not support the 4K format, but it allows you to play such clips without significant lags.

    Platform and run time

Smartphone meizu m3 note, specs which is represented by the MediaTek Helio P10 chipset, allows you to provide the user with the maximum duration of work with high level performance. For this reason, the device performs normal tasks without any complaints, but you can also run modern 3D games without fear.

The gadget's wireless modules are represented by GPS, LTE, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0.

2 GB of RAM was pre-installed for smooth operation, but 3 GB models have also appeared in some markets. The user can choose from two options for devices with 16 and 32 gigabytes of ROM, you can increase the storage capacity using MicroSD. But in this case, you will have to sacrifice one of the NanoSIM slots.

Detailed meizu m3 note 32 gbreview showed that one of the main advantages of the model can safely be called a battery. The device received a 4100 mAh capacitive battery, which had a very positive effect on the duration of work. The user can safely count on two days of operation even with a high level of activity.

    cameras

The rear panel is complemented by a 13 megapixel matrix, which received a two-tone flash and autofocus. The camera aperture is f/2.2. It makes no sense to consider the interface in more detail, since a huge number of settings are available to users. Nevertheless, the wide range of options for choosing shooting modes did not particularly affect the quality of the pictures, which remains the weak point of the manufacturer's devices.

The camera was tested with automatic mode, which allows you to notice problems with detail and color reproduction.

The camera allows you to get 1080p videos. Users also have the opportunity to use slow motion mode, but it does not differ in special quality.

The front panel received a 5 megapixel camera, which makes it possible to take good pictures, as for its characteristics. Smartphone owners will be able to appreciate the capabilities of Face After Effects and FotoNation, which allow you to get higher quality selfies.

The advantages of the device can safely be called the assembly and quality of materials for the case, as well as autonomy. In general, the architecture allows you to achieve solid performance, as for a budget device. In the shortcomings, it is worth pointing out the quality of the resulting images, as well as the secondary design.

The smartphone is positioned as a budget phablet, so you should not expect much from it. However, it does a great job with day to day tasks. good autonomy so you don't have to worry about battery life. High-quality assembly and comfortable operation make it one of the best representatives of the segment.

    Introduction

The Chinese company, which managed to become relatively popular in Russia (to some extent thanks to us, don’t take it for immodesty), has released another metal smartphone. This time there is more metal in the budget (for China) or medium price category (for Russia). The collection has been replenished with Meizu M3s mini. It was decided to give such a pretentious name to the gadget just for us, since in the homeland it is simply called M3. However, it should be understood that M3s mini and M3 are still different: the version for Russian market has a metal case and the Android operating system, slightly increased battery capacity.

The price has not yet been decided, but according to rumors, a 2/16 GB smartphone will cost 12,000 rubles, and a 3/32 GB gadget will cost 14,000 rubles. Personally, it seems to me that it will be like this: 12,990 and 14,990 rubles. Sales in August.

    Design, dimensions, controls

This time the designers Meizu they didn’t particularly bother with the design of the novelty, so the M3s mini looks almost the same as the Pro 6: sloping edges, a flat back surface, a metal case, a scanner plus a touch-mechanical button, the location of some elements, etc. The only thing global difference: the back of the Pro 6 is completely made of aluminum, and in the case of the M3S mini, there are plastic inserts on top and bottom. A similar solution is used in many gadgets with a non-plastic socket.

The front side is protected by glass with a 2.5D shape, a thin chrome-plated edging is still made of plastic. By the way, a device came to me with a rather dead edging. On the one hand, this is not very good, since it will have to be photographed in such an unaesthetic form, on the other hand, you can immediately imagine what will happen to the smartphone after a certain amount of time.

The glass is durable, during the testing it did not “plant” a single scratch. Oleophobic coating is present. The quality is good, the finger glides over the screen surface easily.

Due to the compact dimensions and the extremely successful shape of the case, holding and using the Meizu M3S mini is a pleasure, especially after the “shovels”. The device is assembled firmly, no backlash, squeaks, punching to the battery.

There are a lot of colors for Meizu: dark gray, silver, gold and pink metallic. I hope that all of them will definitely be available to our consumers.

On top of the front panel there are light and proximity sensors (they work rather slowly), an indicator of missed events (bright, white), a camera and a speaker, covered with a metal mesh. Its volume is high, the timbre is pleasant, the interlocutor is heard clearly and legibly.

Below the screen is a touch-mechanical button, which is responsible for accessing home screen, "Back".

It is also a fingerprint sensor. The speed of operation completely satisfied me. Using the mTouch 2.1 scanner, you can not only block the smartphone from turning on, but also restrict access to any applications on the device using your fingerprint, including the programs and games you personally installed.

The scanner works no worse and no better than others.

At the bottom there is a microphone (left), microUSB and a speakerphone. The volume rocker and power button are on the right. Their stroke is minimal, the pressing is firm, there is a pleasant “click” sound, like on the iPhone.

On the left is a metal tray for sharing nanoSIM + nanoSIM or nanoSIM + microSD.

WITH reverse side- a camera lens recessed into the body, below - a two-color LED flash, the inscription MEIZU.

Meizu M3S mini and Apple iPhone

    Display

    The Meizu M3S mini uses a 5-inch screen. Let me remind you that in M1 / M2 Note the diagonal is 5.5", in MX4 - 5.36", and in MX4 Pro - 5.5", in Pro 5 - 5.7", in Pro 6 - 5.2". top - 15.5 mm, bottom - 15, right and left - a little less than 4 mm.There is an anti-reflective coating.

The resolution of the Meizu M3S mini display is HD, that is, 720x1280 pixels, the density is 294 pixels per inch. The matrix is made according to IPS technology without air gap.

    The maximum brightness of white is 400 cd/m2 (official data is 380), black is 0.59 cd/m2. Contrast - 677:1 (officially - 1000:1).

The white line is the goal we are trying to achieve. The yellow line is the actual screen data. You can see that we are almost directly below the target curve at values from 0 to 100%, which means that at each value the image is underlit. The yellow line is actually the average amount of red, green and blue.

The average gamma value is 2.12.

According to the level chart, Blue colour in excess and red in deficiency.

At minimum brightness, the temperature is closer to 7800 K, on average - 7200 K

Judging by the diagram, the received data does not exceed the sRGB triangle, especially in the zone of green, red and blue colors.

Many gray points are located within the DeltaE=10 radius, which indicates that in gray colors no other shades will be present.

The viewing angles are maximum, under certain screen inclinations the picture is very yellow and violet. This suggests that the matrix here is one of the most budgetary.

    Battery

This model uses a non-removable 3020 mAh battery.

When working with the device, the battery lasted for about 16-18 hours: about 20-30 minutes of calls per day, about 7 hours of using 3G / 4G (constant synchronization of mail, Twitter, WhatsApp, Skype, and so on), about 6 hours of Wi-Fi , several dozen photos, hours of listening to music.

In a more gentle mode, the gadget works up to 24 hours. If you leave only data synchronization (Wi-Fi), then you can count on two days. Up to 13 hours of continuous talk.

In movie (HD) mode, the battery runs out after about 9 hours, in game mode, the battery lasts for about 3.5 hours, in audio playback mode, for maximum volume– up to 50 hours.

The PC Mark Work Battery life application showed a result of 10 hours 37 minutes.

Unlike top models, the M3S mini does not have fast charging. Network adapter- 5 V and 2 A.

    Communication options

The device is equipped with two nanoSIM slots. Both connectors support 3G/4G network (LTE CAT 6) in Russian frequencies: FDD-LTE / TD-LTE / TD-SCDMA / WCDMA / GSM.

    Network types:

    • 2G GSM/GPRS/EDGE (900/1800/1900 MHz)
    • 3G WCDMA/HSPA+ (900/2100 MHz)
    • 4G FDD-LTE (1800/2100/2600 MHz)
    • 3G TD-SCDMA
    • 4G TD-LTE

The rest is standard: Wi-Fi (ac and b/g/n/ac) dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz/5GHz) - sensitivity on Samsung level Galaxy S6, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB connector (USB 2.0 with OTG support) for charge/sync. GPS navigation works without problems.

    Memory and memory card

The smartphone will be available in two versions:

    • 2 GB RAM (LPDDR3) and 16 GB internal
    • 3 GB RAM (LPDDR3) and 32 GB internal

Read speed of internal memory (16 GB LPDDR3) - 72 Mbps, write - 16 Mbps.

There is support microSD cards up to 128 GB.

    cameras

The main module is 13 MP with phase focusing (5 lenses, aperture f2.2, the lens is protected by Gorilla Glass 3), and the front module is 5 MP (4 lenses, aperture f2.0). There is a dual LED flash with a warm and cold glow.

The quality of the picture during the day completely satisfies me: accurate white balance, good dynamic range, relatively sharp picture. Focusing speed is fast thanks to phase detection autofocus. The accuracy is also excellent.

As for shooting at dusk or just in low light conditions, the camera shows an extremely poor result: a lot of noise, the image becomes blurry, the white balance often “walks”. However, almost all modules in the price category of devices up to 15,000 rubles behave in this way.

The front module is not too wide-angle. Photos are good and sharp.

The video is normal - FullHD at 30 fps during the day and 20 fps at night. The picture is average, the focus is also average. The sound is loud, clear, intelligibility is excellent, sensitivity is good. The selfie camera writes FullHD – it’s quite suitable for vlogging.

The usual manual settings for ISO, shutter speed, focus, and exposure remain. The rest is nothing new.

    Performance and software platform

The Meizu M3S mini uses the MediaTek MT6750 chipset. Information about the chip appeared at the beginning of this year. This processor was created as a low cost solution with LTE Cat 6 as well as VoLTE, ViLTE and VoWiFi. Chip 8-core: one cluster consists of four Cortex-A53 cores running at 1 GHz, and is designed for light tasks; the second cluster consists of four high-performance Cortex-A53 cores operating at a frequency of 1.5 GHz, designed for demanding applications. Responsible for graphics ARM Mali-T860MP2 with support for OpenGL ES 3.1, OpenCL 1.2 and DirectX 11.1, capable of operating at frequencies up to 700 MHz. In MT6750 it operates at 650 MHz.

When the processor is under load, the case does not heat up so much (maximum 41–42 degrees), normal state(music, camera, pictures, network usage) - 32-35 degrees.

The smartphone is very fast, no microlags or system slowdowns. Meizu has perfected the Flyme shell quite well, however, there are not so many functions in it.

With toys, not everything is clear: Unkilled shows unstable 13-22 fps, Dead Trigger 2 - stable 30 fps, Real Racing 3 - an average of 27, but the frames "jump" from 19 to 38 fps. Something like this…

Meizu releases new smartphone models with an enviable frequency and, to tell the truth, it seems that the company has not yet decided on any clear strategy and some of the steps are a little surprising. For example PRO 6, which, unlike its predecessors with large screens and Samsung processors Exynos, got a 5.2-inch screen and a top Mediatek processor. Despite this, Meizu smartphones are still extremely interesting in terms of price / quality ratio. And today we have the new M3 Note, which will (potentially) become a bestseller like its predecessors.

    What is this?

Meizu M3 Note is a smartphone with a 5.5-inch display, a fresh 64-bit eight-core processor, a metal case, a fingerprint scanner that is no longer only relevant for flagships, and a very attractive price tag.

    Why is he interesting?

Standard organization of everything on desktops without a separate application menu. There is support for folders, gestures, wake up with a double tap, unlock with a swipe up, gesture application launch. Everything is familiar to Flyme:

The top curtain opens with a swipe down anywhere on the screen. A second movement opens the full version with both notifications and all switches:

Settings menu organized in a standard way, much more convenient than in earlier versions 4.5:

A separate menu for managing SIM cards with the choice of a card for data transfer by default and the priority of the network used:

And a separate security settings item with a fingerprint scanner setting. You can store up to 5 of them. Despite the raw firmware, the scanner works quickly and accurately:

    A set of pre-installed applications:

Despite the raw version of the software, the smartphone (for the most part) works properly and quickly. Just a couple of times there were some brakes, glitches with Wi-Fi and application installation. I'm sure they won't be in the final version.

    How is the camera?

The main camera is 13 megapixels, phase focus, f / 2.2, dual LED flash in different tones. Front camera: 5 MP, f/2.0. The interface has not changed. There is a panel with quick functions and access to settings, mode switch, access to the previous picture. As usual, there is a separate manual mode:

Video mode, manual mode and other modes are included in a separate menu, HDR - in the settings:

Meizu sins on the algorithms for processing photos and videos from the camera. In this case, the situation has not changed, although it is worth waiting for the final version. Sample pictures:

    Video camera shoots in FullHD:

There is a Slow Motion mode, but the resolution is 640x480:

    In the dry matter

In Meizu M3 Note, the company has updated and improved almost everything compared to M2 Note. The positive changes are really significant: the smartphone received an excellent metal case, got a convenient and fast fingerprint scanner, new platform with more high performance and more powerful battery. The only thing that upsets is the quality of the camera, although it is worth waiting for a commercial sample with the final firmware. There is a suspicion that things will be better there. The smartphone will obviously become very popular in its price range up to UAH 5,000 (the older version with 3 GB of RAM will cost exactly that much): competitors have practically nothing to offer for the same money. The closest competitor - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 boasts higher performance, but lacks a microSD slot and costs more.

4 reasons to buy Meizu M3 Note:

    • Excellent metal case;
    • very nice display
    • long battery life;
    • fast and accurate fingerprint scanner.

1 reason not to buy Meizu M3 Note:

    • sad camera quality.

The Chinese did a very good job on the design. The case is made entirely of metal, there are only plastic inserts on the bottom and top for better reception signal. It looks very nice, but the slipperiness of the case, alas, is present. The front of the device also looks great due to 2.5D glass. Of course, the case is non-separable and only experienced people can repair your smartphone in the service center.

On top of the case is a headphone jack, as always we praise the sound, Meizu has an excellent one.

On the right side, I think you have already guessed what is located. That's right, the power button, and the volume rocker. On the reverse side is a combined slot.

Below are the microphone, speaker and microUSB connector.

Front located physical button, it is one and replaces two standard "Androyd" buttons. Pressing the button is “exit to the desktop”, and just touching it is “back”. And to see the list of applications you need to make a swipe across the screen from the bottom up. In addition, this button has a built-in fingerprint scanner (up to 5 fingers can be entered).

There is absolutely nothing unusual in the kit, only a smartphone, charging and cable.

The display of the Meizu M3 Note is cool, comparable to the flagships. There is a color temperature setting, there is an auto-brightness setting. In general, the screen is excellent in terms of color reproduction and reads excellently in the sun.

The decoration of this model, what is there to hide.

Hardware Meizu M3 Note is very good. Here, the MediaTek Helio P10 M processor is responsible for performance, this is not the top version, but its simplified model. And the amount of memory is standard for such devices 16 GB ROM and 2 GB RAM. In our case, free memory is allocated about 9.5 GB out of 16, not a lot. There is a version of this smartphone 32 - 3, so there is something to think about which option to take. In any case, there is still support for memory cards up to 128 GB. M3 Note copes with games perfectly, especially since they look very colorful on the display, which is equipped with the hero of our review. The test results are shown below:

Antutu gave out about 40,000 points, who cares. You can also choose the mode of operation of the processor, but visually this did not significantly affect the operation of the smartphone.

The system used here is Android 5.1, but Meizu programmers have redesigned it beyond recognition. True, the same programmers screwed up a little, and the players did not see the music that we threw on the phone, we had to use the conductor to listen to it. But these are the little things in life. The rest of the shell is very functional. On the abandonment of the three standard android buttons we have already spoken. There is also a gesture control mechanism implemented here. Of the features, we note the ability to block any application using a fingerprint scanner.

And so, in terms of functionality, it is even difficult to remember a function that is not here.

If you didn't run your eyes past specifications, you must have noticed that a very capacious battery at 4100 mAh. In the video playback mode, we got a result of 9 hours and 17 minutes, which, in principle, is very good for such a battery. But in real use, it does not feel that the battery is capacious. Meizu M3 Note only lasts for daylight hours active use. Perhaps the situation will change after the next update, but for now it is. Of the features, we highlight the extreme power saving mode.

On networks, the Chinese should be scolded for the lack of FM radio and NFC. There are all other networks, and there is nothing more to scold. Caught perfectly, even GPS works at a high level.

There are two cameras here. Despite a large number of shooting modes, the quality of the photos is not impressive. I was surprised that in 16:9 format you can take a photo only 3 MP in size.
