• How to clean the internal memory of an alcatel phone. How to clear internal memory on Android

    This article is a more in-depth continuation of the one in which we described. If you wondering How to clear internal memory on Android manually or using third-party applications, we will help you find a solution.

    Let's look at an example of cleaning on a smartphone. Let's say we bought new phone with built-in memory 32gigabyte, but in fact only 26 are available. We will not immediately run to the store and return the product, but will begin to figure out what’s wrong.

    You can see how much free built-in memory the system has by going to “Settings” and going to “ Memory" or " Storage" It is important to note that each phone model reserves a different amount of memory for the system.

    IN modern models size depends on brand (Samsung, Lenovo, LG) and Android versions(6, 7), on average about 2-5 GB.

    Please note that on devices with their own proprietary firmware installed (for example, Xiaomi, Meizu), the memory will initially be occupied even more. The same applies to: for normal functioning Such smartphones require a minimum of 3 GB.

    How to completely clear Android internal memory

    If you don't have SuperSU rights , then of course you won’t be able to clean your smartphone or tablet completely. The absence of this feature seriously limits your actions. After reading our article about how, you can completely remove all junk from your device. But if you don't want to lose official guarantee, then you can do about half of what is described below.

    To free up system memory, follow these step-by-step steps:

    1. Go to menu item "Settings";
    2. Find a section "Applications";
    3. Go to the item "Third Party Applications";
    4. Click on the ellipses in the upper right corner;
    5. Sort the list by size.

    Uninstalling an application or its updates

    After you have completed the above steps, after a few seconds you will see the largest applications stored on your Android device. If among the list there are programs that you do not use, you just need to delete them.

    If item "Delete"no - then Without root rights it will be impossible to do this. In this case, you can select “ Uninstall updates" They can be quite bulky and will help free up some space.

    But if you are determined to remove system applications that do not bring you any benefit - we recommend that you familiarize yourself with them. For example, you installed an excellent third-party alarm clock, the built-in one is no longer needed, but you should remove it standard method he doesn't want to. Also don't forget that the desire to free more space may lead to you deleting files necessary for the operating system, and this increases the risk of .

    Stopping the application

    To others in an effective way is a forced stop of the application. But again you need to use this function carefully, after all, this can only be done if the application is not a system one.

    It is worth remembering that the Android system itself takes up quite a large part of the memory, and nothing can be done about it.

    Effectively clean the built-in memory on your phone and tablet

    The cleaning process is almost universal and is not particularly different for smartphones and tablets. It is important to take into account the Android version and the brand of your device.

    If you cleaned everything, deleted unnecessary applications and you still have little memory, the choice is small - you need to get root user rights. If possible, some apps are better.

    Frequently asked questions/answers

    How do I stop the Maps app?

    The process is similar for all programs and games. To do this, log in "Settings", choose the necessary program and at the top instead of a button "Delete" will "Stop".

    No matter how much memory there is in your mobile device, sooner or later it will run out and you will have to get rid of old, unnecessary and simply junk files. Today we will tell you how to clean up junk from your Android phone and free up as much memory as possible.

    Types of memory on Android devices

    IN modern smartphones Tablets have several types of memory, each of which performs its own functions:

    1. RAM memory or random access memory. RAM is a type of memory that ensures the operation of launched or already running processes. This is a buffer memory that is used by any applications, both installed and system ones. Data is quickly written and deleted. RAM memory active when constantly connected to a power source. System information about RAM is available in Task manager Managers - here you can see the amount of allocated and free memory.
    2. ROM or ROM memory- a type of memory that performs its functions constantly. ROM does not assume the presence permanent source energy - the memory is not erased, even if the source is turned off. ROM in most cases is required to store operating Android platforms. The data stored in this memory is difficult to change in any way; under normal conditions, it is read-only.
    3. Internal memory - Internal phone storage. This type of memory is provided to the owner of the smartphone so that he can store his data. This list includes files, programs, applications, media content, text information and more. Information about the status, amount of used and free memory is available in the settings menu in the corresponding section.
    4. External Micro memory SD. Any information can be written to flash memory, edited or deleted separate files. The memory card makes it possible to transfer some applications from internal storage, freeing up space for system files. Manufacturers offer large volumes external memory, up to 128 gigabytes.

    The easiest and fastest way to clear your phone memory

    • First easy way— Go to Gallery -> Albums -> Videos or Photos from the camera (if possible, sort the files by size/weight), and then delete the “heaviest” files.
    • Second easy way— Go to Settings -> Storage -> Cleanup and delete everything junk files, which were found on your phone using this function.

    As we already found out at the beginning of the article, the memory in a phone can be different (internal permanent, operational and external-connected).

    Devices with operating system Android almost constantly uses RAM and internal memory. You can quickly and easily clean it as follows: standard means, so resort to help third party software. The device will work much faster if it has enough RAM and as much of it as possible. If the internal memory is practically full, then the smartphone will often begin to generate system errors, randomly reboot, freeze and show low performance.

    Users who do not yet know how to clean their phone should use the following tools:

    1. Own functionality of the device;
    2. Third-party software designed for a mobile device;
    3. Personal computer;
    4. Online services - cloud storage.

    Any of the proposed methods can be considered quite fast, simple and effective in order to clear the memory of an Android phone.

    How to clear internal memory on Android

    To improve the performance of the device, you need to clear not only the internal memory, but also the RAM.

    To check the status and clear the RAM, you must:

    1. Activate system key located on the left or right.
    2. View list open applications in the window that opens.
    3. View the amount of filled RAM.
    4. Click on the cross on the display and clear the RAM occupied by applications.

    The system memory used by the operating system cannot be cleared in this way.

    If you understand the wisdom third party programs There is no desire or opportunity, you can carry out the procedure manually, after which the device will work much faster. Manual cleaning methods include:

    1. clearing application and browser caches;
    2. deleting messages;
    3. deleting applications that have not been used for a long time;
    4. Cleaning your phone from files stored on it.

    Manually clearing Android phone memory takes longer than automatic cleaning, but gives comparable results.

    4. Set the necessary settings: what to delete and for what period of time.
    5. Activate the “delete data” command.

    External memory also needs to be cleaned periodically. Cleaning can be gentle (manual selective deletion files) or radical (full formatting (deleting all files) from the memory card). Let's look at each method in more detail.

    Manually deleting files

    The most effective method of manual cleaning is to remove the heaviest files, usually video, audio files or photos. high resolution. To delete them, you need to go to the gallery and sort all the files by size, and then delete the heaviest ones.

    Tip: If you can’t sort files by size in your mobile device’s gallery, use file manager. For example Total Commander.

    An integral part of the lives of many modern people Recently, all sorts of gadgets have become available. Most owners of smartphones and tablets with operating Android system sooner or later they face the problem of lack of memory. IN budget models its volume is, as a rule, no more than four gigabytes, but it should be taken into account that at least a quarter of the part is occupied by the operating system itself.

    All modern games, like high-quality photographs, music and films, require increasingly larger volumes available memory. So, at some point the user simply will not be able to install required application, download the necessary data. Absence free space also negatively affects the speed of the device itself. So, how to free up internal memory on Android? You can move files to external media and optimize the performance of your smartphone.

    What fills the empty space?

    When figuring out how to free up the internal memory of an Android phone, you should pay attention to several points. Certain methods may be effective in some cases, but completely inappropriate in others.

    Before you free up internal memory on Android, you need to understand where the data filling the device comes from. Here are some of the most common options:

    • saving photos, music and videos;
    • data used in social media sharing;
    • audio from a voice recorder;
    • data downloaded via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi;
    • applications from Play Store, located in the device memory.

    How to prevent files from being saved to the device memory?

    To prevent the problem from recurring from time to time in the future, you need to redirect the download of files from the device memory to other media. For example, to a memory card (SD card). To do this, you should change the save path settings in the settings of some applications:

    • camera options;
    • voice recorder options;
    • Browser download space;
    • location of cached files from applications;
    • regulation of messengers;
    • regulation of bootloader programs;
    • regulation of GPS navigation maps.

    In all of the above settings, the path to a specific folder (or several folders: separately for music, videos, pictures and files) must be specified, which is located on the memory card.

    How to move data?

    It is better to move files from the device memory to a memory card in similar folders. If there are none, you can create them using any file manager that is downloaded from the Play Store, or by connecting the device to the computer via a cable. Moving to places with similar standard names will avoid unnecessary confusion. Folders usually have the following names:

    • Bluetooth;
    • DCIM;
    • download;
    • media;
    • movies;
    • music;
    • video;
    • sounds.

    Transferring files, as well as creating new folders, can be done in two ways: directly by the functions of the device itself or using a computer. You should not transfer data whose purpose is in doubt. Moving program files may cause device malfunctions, you should be aware of this before freeing up space on the internal memory of Android.

    How to transfer files directly to the device?

    To transfer pictures, music and videos directly to the device, it is better to use a file manager. The ES conductor is simple and reliable to use. The main function of the manager is precisely to work with folders and files. This file manager is very lightweight, does not take up the already small amount of memory, and is convenient.

    To transfer the necessary data, you need to select it with one long press. When choosing the “move” action, click on “SD-card”. Dignity this manager files is that the menu allows you to immediately create new folders for transferring files.

    How to transfer files using a computer?

    In order to clear the internal memory of Android using a computer, you need to connect the device to it using a USB cable. To be able to manage data on a smartphone or tablet, the PC must have specialized programs and drivers. As a rule, such software is installed automatically, but you need to wait a little while the computer determines the type of device and finds the appropriate drivers on the network.

    Problems that arise when transferring files using a PC are easily resolved free service AirDroid, which provides the ability to work with the device at a distance by connecting to Wi-Fi networks. Firstly, this is good because you don’t need to install any additional programs or drivers to recognize your smartphone or tablet. Secondly, this service Provides connection between devices over a distance longer than a cable.

    And yet, how to free system memory on Android via a computer using this method? Everything is very simple here - data management is possible through any browser.

    How to move apps to SD card?

    How to free up internal memory on Android to unload devices? Let us note right away: this is not an easy task. The reason is that in order to implement this operation for applications, as a rule, you need to have special rights, namely administrator rights, which will allow you to fully manage all files.

    You can obtain administrator status by installing an additional software or changing smartphone settings. In the latter case, everything is much simpler. Devices whose settings can be set to “developer mode” allow you to perform many actions that are not available ordinary users, for example, install a fake localization.

    If administrator access is already enabled, you should next install the Link2Sd application. It allows you to transfer both installed additional and standard applications from the device memory to the memory card. But here you need to remember that such actions can lead to malfunctions of the device.

    Without administrator rights, you can only move some applications. This action can be performed in the device settings. But the standard method is not very convenient, and if you don’t want to change the settings, it’s better to download Android app Assistant.

    Android Assistant consists of eighteen tools for versatile work with Android. Directly transferring applications is carried out as follows: open the program, go to the “Toolkit” section and select “App2Sd”. A list of applications that can be transferred will open.

    Also using this application you can perform a comprehensive removal, which will help optimize and increase the speed of the device.

    How to clean your device from unnecessary debris?

    By following the above steps, you can make significant progress in the process of clearing your memory. Once you have set the correct settings, you most likely will not have to do all the steps again from time to time. But you will have to use information on how to free up internal memory on Android by removing garbage often. So, having installed special application(For example, Clean Master), you can make the cleaning process quick and easy.

    The so-called garbage in the device, which occurs through the accumulation of cached data from the Internet, browser history, and applications, is a very common phenomenon. Periodic cleaning allows you to increase the free space on your device and speed up all actions.

    If we look at cleaning a device from debris using the example of the most optimal and convenient program Clean Master, then there will be no difficulties in using it. You just need to select the “garbage” option and click “clean”. The application, conducting an in-depth analysis, makes sure to specify which files should not be deleted.

    How to store files on the Internet?

    To free up internal memory on Android 4.2, you can use so-called cloud storage. They allow you not only to store files, but also to open them using various devices. Having installed an application of this type on a smartphone, to gain access to the data you will only need to register (when you turn it on for the first time), and subsequently enter your username and password.

    Constant access to the Internet is also important when working with cloud storage, because the data is stored in “ virtual memory" Among the most successful cloud storages are Google Drive, Mega storage, "Yandex.Disk" or Dropbox.

    How to completely clean the device?

    To radically clear the device memory, you need to do complete removal all data. The action is performed using the “Format” option. As a rule, this item is located in the device settings in the “” tab. Backup and data reset." After confirming the user’s intentions and deleting the data, the device will reboot and take on its original appearance, that is, the smartphone will be missing everything that was installed and downloaded after purchase.

    In general, the instructions “How to free up memory on Android” include several steps, some of which are interchangeable. Sequential execution actions of various kinds will lead to an increase in free space, which certainly entails optimization of the device.

    How to clear system memory on Lenovo

    During use Lenovo devices there is a gradual accumulation of all kinds of files, various programs and applications, and the appearance of the “Memory Full” window is inevitable. This greatly slows down the functionality of the Android OS.

    So, almost a month later active use There will come a time on your smartphone to free up memory. Naturally, the simplest way to solve this problem is to remove unnecessary programs. You can clean your device by contacting service on Lenovo phones or yourself using our cleaning instructions.

    Clear phone internal memory

    Just go to the special explorer on your device, and through it select the file category you need. After you have found files and utilities that you do not need, send them to the trash, and the memory is freed again! True, if you remove important program, then you can restore it only if you have Root access.

    Transferring data to an SD card

    In addition, you can transfer some applications to an SD memory card. To do this, go to “Settings”, click on the picture with the image of the application and click on the “Move to card” button. True, this only helps when you are not working on a system program in Android, and having a map is mandatory.

    Using special applications

    On the other hand, the user almost always turns to special programs to clear memory. Some of them require presence of Root rights, and some are paid, but these utilities greatly facilitate the process of cleaning memory. For example, for Lenovo smartphones Smart fits perfectly Booster PRO. This program allows you to clear internal, external and, importantly, system memory.

    You can set your smartphone to be cleaned automatically or manually select the programs you need.

    You will be able to freely control the process of piling up files and clean up system memory if necessary.

    By the way, even if you delete all extra files and you never managed to achieve the programs desired result, and the amount of memory has not changed at all, then there may be a virus on your device. In this case, you need to scan the device and remove all found faults.

    But before rushing headlong to correct this injustice, it is worth finding out why this happens and how exactly you can clean the system.

    Android File System Structure

    Data-lazy-type="image" data-src="http://androidkak.ru/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/faylovaya-sistema-android.png" alt="File system structure Android" width="200" height="356" srcset="" data-srcset="http://androidkak.ru/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/faylovaya-sistema-android..png 168w" sizes="(max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px"> !} One thing worth understanding: file system Android is not nearly as versatile as, say, Windows. If on Windows your programs and media files are in the same space, then on Android each type of file has its own section.

    System programs - separately, auxiliary files and music - separately. The first partition is called the system memory, while the last one is called the media partition.

    Why is this necessary? First of all, to make the OS as secure as possible. If you combine these sections, it turns out that a regular media player can accidentally delete data important for the operation of another program, crash the system, or simply fill it to capacity with its files, without leaving even a byte for the necessary system programs.

    Moreover, these two sections have different access levels. In the media section, the user and third-party programs can do whatever they want. To section system programs Android has no use for anything other than these programs.

    Because of this order of things, sometimes a rather curious situation occurs: the media section has several gigabytes free, but the phone stubbornly reports that it cannot install an application of a couple of tens of megabytes in size. This happens because the section for third-party programs is already full.

    In such cases, there is nothing left but to try to clear the system memory in the hope that you will be able to free up these megabytes.

    You can see the amount of free system memory in the settings, in the “Memory” section. The first scale shows exactly this value. In addition, it is worth considering that the system requires leaving a certain amount free - from 50 to 600 megabytes, depending on the Android device model and OS version.

    Cleaning system memory without superuser rights

    If you have not opened root access on your smartphone, then your cleaning options system partition will be seriously limited. On the other hand, the warranty on the device will remain intact. Is it worth it? It's up to you to decide.

    If you want to clear system memory, do the following:

    • Go to "Settings".
    • Go to the "Applications" section.
    • Next, go to the “Third Party” tab.
    • Click the Menu button (three vertical dots in the upper right corner of the screen).
    • Select sort by size.

    .png" alt="List of Android phone applications" width="300" height="169" srcset="" data-srcset="http://androidkak.ru/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/spisok-prilozheniy..png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px"> !} After a couple of seconds, you will see a list of the largest applications on your device. If there is something among them that you do not use, then click on it and select “Delete”. If the button is unavailable, it means that the application is a system application and cannot be erased without superuser rights.

    Then select “Uninstall updates”, this way you will free up at least some space. It is also advisable to disable the program by clicking on the corresponding button. But this must be done carefully and only with applications like Facebook that are not part of the system.

    The above method does not take into account the fact that Android calculates the size of the application on the entire internal memory. If it takes up 1.2 GB per internal map memory and only 40 MB on the system partition, it will still be shown with a size of 1.2 GB.

    If you have already carried out such optimization and there is still little space, you have little choice: get superuser rights or try to transfer applications to a memory card. The latter will only work if your system is version 4.0.4 or lower, so the chance is slim. But if you really are a user of a device that is at least three years old, then next to the “Delete” button you will have a “Move to SD card/USB drive” button. Click on it, and part of the data of this application will leave the system partition and will be transferred to the memory card, freeing up space.

    Some Android programs are used only by some third-party applications, so they can be erased even without superuser rights. For example, deleting “Services Google Play» allows you to free up to 150 MB in the system partition, in return closing the possibility of direct synchronization between devices. If you don't use programs like Pushbullet or MightyText, you can safely delete this. And if some program suddenly needs something, it will offer to download it again. The second candidate for deletion is Google search, but along with its 40-60 MB you will lose Google Now and the command “Ok, Google!”

    Cleaning system memory with superuser rights

And although we will talk further about unstable solutions a la Xposed App2SD, which, for example, allows you to replace the application section with a memory card, root users still have more options.

    Removing pre-installed programs

    If your Android already had installed third party applications(Facebook, VKontakte, Odnoklassniki, MTS Assistant), then most likely you will not be able to delete them without superuser rights. This is quite a shame, because they often have significant sizes of 40-160 MB.

    The solution is the Titanium Backup program, which allows you not only to make a complete backup of all your applications with their settings, but also to clean the closed system partition from such garbage. To do this, simply select the desired application on the second tab of the program and click “Delete”.

    Mounting an SD card as internal memory

    As mentioned above, 1.5 GB of a game does not always go completely to the system partition. But for those who have internal memory of a couple of gigabytes, this does not make it any easier.

    Jpg" alt="Folder Mount program" width="150" height="119"> !} The solution is the FolderMount program, which allows you to transfer cache files (that’s what these one and a half gigabytes are called) to a memory card, leaving a shortcut in their place. In this case, the system will still consider that the files are in the old location, which leads to funny oddities in the “Memory” settings section: for example, you can see that you have 8.2 GB of 3.6 GB occupied, while another 0.98 of these 3.6 are completely free.

    If FolderMount cannot create a folder on the SD card, do it yourself with any file manager and specify it in the program. You can also immediately copy the files of the transferred program there, deleting them later from the internal memory - it’s more reliable. And if you see a message that mounting is impossible, turn on “Autostart” or “Mount at startup” in the settings and restart your smartphone.

    Other partition extension methods

    Data-lazy-type="image" data-src="http://androidkak.ru/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/App2SD.png" alt="App2SD App Manager Save Space" width="100" height="100" srcset="" data-srcset="http://androidkak.ru/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/App2SD..png 150w" sizes="( max-width: 100px) 100vw, 100px"> There are other ways to transfer data from the system partition to a card or internal memory. However, most of them are extremely dangerous in the hands inexperienced users, is only suitable for a certain model/manufacturer or requires high level technical skills.
