Today we will look at choosing a method for managing your account in this payment system and describe in detail how to register a wallet and log in when using the Keeper Classic program.

Registration in WebMoney and receiving WMID

In the West, credit cards have long been used to pay for goods purchased online and services ordered. We have not yet received such a method of payment for distribution, and the rapidly developing systems are probably partly to blame for this electronic money, such as WebMoney.

The fact is that paying with credit cards has a number of disadvantages for both buyers and sellers of goods and services. Firstly, there is a possibility that your details credit card can be intercepted by scammers, and secondly, for sellers there is such an unpleasant moment as the revocation of a payment made by credit card.

What is noteworthy is that in such systems it is not real money (cash or non-cash) that is used, but electronic money, which nevertheless can be easily converted into real and quite physically tangible money. It is currently possible to pay for some types of services (for example, hosting or purchasing a domain name) only using electronic money, and WebMoney is actually the main payment option. In addition, your earnings on the site in many cases will also be transferred to real life through this system, well, or through Yandex Money.

Probably, at the moment, WebMoney are the most common method of calculation. When making a payment, you will be charged a commission of 0.8% of the payment amount. A fairly humane commission, in my opinion, although it could have been smaller.

Using this payment system you can, for example, transfer money to cell phone or carry out utility bills for an apartment. In this case, you will only be charged a transfer fee (0.8%). Well, there are many other things you can use it for and you won’t have to go somewhere, stand in lines and endure other inconveniences.

You will only need to go through the registration procedure in the system, receive a WMID (identifier) and log into their website using the method you selected during registration. Well, then all you have to do is transfer money from your wallet to the account of the seller or company that provides the services you need (for example, a cellular operator).

Money transfer operations to WebMoney take place in a few seconds. Now let's look at the issue of choosing a registration and login method, as well as receiving and managing your wallet.

Next, copy the code from the letter you received from WebMoney and paste it into the form in the third registration step (if the mailbox was previously specified incorrectly, you can change it by clicking on the link from the right menu):

WMID is unique for each user of the system, it is not secret (but write it down nonetheless) and is the participant’s address in the WebMoney system, and also allows you to obtain information about the owner of this WMID and contact him via the internal mail of the system. You should also understand that it is not a requisite for receiving funds (for this you need to know the number of the wallet to which the transfer is made).

You can link as many keepers with your wallets to the same WMID. To receive, transfer and withdraw electronic money, WebMoney provides special wallets (linked to a specific WMID), but we will talk about them in the following articles devoted to this system.

But the interface in which you find yourself after completing registration (login was automatic) is not, in my opinion, the most in a safe way work with this money.

Choosing a method of logging in and working in the WebMoney system

Therefore, I advise you to immediately go to the “Settings” tab (see previous screenshot) and activate this feature.

You will see a form where you will need to log in to WebMoney again using the Email, Wmid, or cell number you specified during registration:

As a result, you will be taken to the WebMoney-Security page. If you haven’t confirmed your mobile phone number before, you’ll have to do it here, because you simply won’t be allowed to work with these settings any further.

On the main tab of this resource you will find a lot of links to all sorts of smart instructions, but we are interested in the tab "Management methods" from the left menu.

As you can see, there are four control methods in total, and only one Mini is active now. One of the ways to log into WebMoney is using special software Keeper Mobile, intended exclusively for mobile phones and working either under Java control, or under Windows Mobile. I have not used this version of the keeper and therefore I will not be able to talk about working with it.

The other three login methods are via different versions Keepers, which are intended for different options use electronic wallets:

Classic— is a program for the Windows operating system. In my opinion, Keeper Classic is the most convenient and reliable way working with your WebMoney wallet. But there is one thing. In order to log in from another computer, you will need to first install this program on it.

Mini- the easiest way to manage your wallet in WebMoney (by default, after registration you will have it active). It is again implemented through the web interface of a special online service WM system, but the browser is not required to enable JavaScript support, a certificate is not needed, and working with your wallet will be much faster than in the case of Keeper Light.

But at the same time, you lose some opportunities and job security decreases. This management method is convenient to use when paying for goods and services, and access can be obtained from any computer, PDA or Internet cafe.

That. when registering in the WebMoney system, you are automatically connected to Keeper Mini, which is certainly the simplest, but not the most reliable method of management. Therefore, on the page with the choice of control method, you can click on the “Connect” button in the area with Keeper Classic.

Obtaining a formal WebMoney certificate for your WMID

True, not everything is so simple here, because for this you will need to obtain a formal certificate in this system:

However, this is not difficult to do. Click on the link marked in the screenshot and you will be taken to the WebMoney-Passport page, where you will need to fill out a form to receive a certificate of the lowest level - formal.

First, you will need to indicate all the required personal data, including passport data (if you plan to use the wallet seriously and for a long time, then it is advisable to indicate real ones).

Please note that opposite those of your data that you do not want to display, be sure to check the box "Do not show".

If you filled out all the fields correctly, you will see a proposal to go to the page of your formal certificate, and you will receive a corresponding letter by email. Follow the link provided and view your details.

There you will find all the information you entered, as well as WMID data. By the way, to check what it looks like public version of WMID and what information about you is displayed there, it will be enough to open the page of your formal certificate in another browser where you were not logged into WebMoney.

Okay, let's go back to where we started - we want to transfer the management of our WebMoney wallets to Keeper Classic. We clicked on the “Connect” button on the “Management Methods” tab, but we were sent to receive a formal certificate, which we successfully did. Now we return to the same tab of the WM-Security page and click again on “Connect” in the area with Keeper Classic (see the fourth screenshot, if you scroll the page from here to the top).

This will help save time, however, it will negatively affect the security of your account. Therefore, when choosing it, you should weigh the risks. Select the security column, in the menu that opens, in the confirmation line, click change (by default, SMS confirmation is active). The next section of the site will open.

E-NUM activation
