• A smartphone with a long communication range. Smartphones with good network reception

Buying another mobile assistant, first of all, you should pay attention to inner filling. It depends on it what the communication reception will be, the speed of information transfer and much more. The main function of any mobile device is to ensure communication between subscribers and Internet networks, search, etc. It is difficult to say which brand of smartphone will be better; you just need to compare the characteristics of smartphones.

An important factor for good communication is the presence of operator towers in a particular region. If there are no problems with them in the city, then in rural areas certain difficulties arise. And here the shape and material of the case (metal shields) and the antenna of the device are already triggered. For the countryside, it is better to choose, on the advice of experts, proven models, even with antenna pull-out studs. The quality of communication also reacts sensitively to the interior of a car with darkened windows, which also works as a screen. The most adapted in this regard are phones from Samsung and Nokia, followed by the “Apple version” and Chinese smartphones. And of course, you can’t do it without a local operator.

Replacement mobile communications is relevant at any time of the year, and the importance of the Internet is irreplaceable. Communication via Skype or social networks makes it much easier to connect with loved ones, even in hard-to-reach places.

    Features of the hardware

The platforms of most smartphones are designed for three pillars: Android, iOS And Windows Phone . The first is the most common, has a sensitive interface setting, and easily changes the processing speed of the processor. Adapted to many types of applications and games, installed on gadgets from Huawei, Samsung, Lenovo HTS, Sony and other flagships.

    Samsung products

The Galaxy S7 edge can be considered the best smartphone in all respects from late 2016 to early 2017. Based on the sixth version of the Android OS, it supports 2G (850 - 1900 GSM) and 3G (850-2100) networks, with good transmission speeds (HSDPA and LTE). Jeep navigation lines are also used. Large memory (RAM/ROM 4/32(64) GB) allows you to work in social networks, simultaneously receive incoming calls or SMS messages. It is known that its improved characteristics will be inherited by the next model - Samsung Galaxy S8, which will have a seventh-generation OS platform and the ability to support a 5g network with six gigabyte RAM. This indicator is enough for many processes, especially good system communications.

Among the characteristics modern phones one often gets lost important parameter- quality of communication. The Danish Energy Agency and officials from the Nordic telecommunications administrations conducted a test to find out this characteristic. 26 popular devices in the region took part in the study.

The quality of communication was checked while the gadgets were in the hands of a person and lying on the table. Here, quality refers to the loss of signal from the antenna of a mobile device for voice communication and data transfer.

Apple smartphones perform poorly when in the hands of the user. Experts are inclined to believe that the metal case is to blame for this - other metal accessories are also of poor quality. And Lumia 650, Sony Xperia The Z5 Compact and the latest flagships from Samsung performed well.

Signal quality when transmitting data from phones when they are held in the right hand. The table is sorted by the popular 4G LTE800 standard in the region. Only UMTS2100 is relevant in Ukraine

One of the study's authors, Professor Gert Pedersen from Aalaborg University, says that some phones require normal operation hundreds of times more powerful signal. The expert believes that the efficiency of the antenna should be marked on phones, just as the energy efficiency of household appliances is marked today.

The researchers also tested the effectiveness of several popular tablets in the region: Nexus 9, iPad Mini 4, iPad Air 2, Microsoft Surface Pro 4, Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7, Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet. They were tested when working on a stand and when the device was held with both hands.

But only four of them have a built-in GSM modem (Sony Experia Z4 tablet, Apple iPad Air 2, Samsung Galaxy Tab S2, Apple iPad mini 4), and only they were tested.

In addition to ensuring a reliable connection to the base station, smartphone manufacturers must monitor the emission power. Although harmful effects radio waves from mobile phones have not been proven to affect human health, in its Samsung time, when it turned out that one of the models had an SAR of 2.7-2.9 W/kg, voluntarily withdrew 140,000 devices from sale. One thing is obvious: the lower this level, the safer it is to use the device.

Every year to the market mobile phones Dozens of new models are coming out. Each of them occupies a specific niche in its segment. Phones are also distributed by price, technical specifications, features, etc. But at the end of the year, summing up, it’s still worth finding out what the quality rating of phones looks like.

    Classification

To compile such a list, you must immediately clarify what is meant by quality and what the evaluation criteria are. The most important judge in this distribution is always the buyer. The technical characteristics specified by the manufacturer do not always correspond to real indicators. Therefore, everything that the user says is main reason place the model on one stage or another.

In addition, when rating cell phones by quality, you need to pay attention to several basic indicators that buyers most often look at. Among them, of course, appearance, and also technical specifications, screen, camera and OS. All the rest are just either a pleasant addition or an unnecessary element.

    2016

It must be said that 2016 was a very fruitful year. Many manufacturers have released their flagships, thereby reminding of themselves or strengthening their position. As usual, the most sensational race was between Samsung and Apple. The developers tried to get ahead of each other once again and release smartphones faster.

As a result, we received a very high-quality and cool Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, also brand new Apple iPhone 7, and a burnt Samsung Galaxy Note 7. It is difficult to judge who defeated whom. Everyone has their own subjective opinion, therefore, when rating phones based on the quality of 2016, these models should be placed on the same level. At the moment, the main disadvantage of these flagships remains the huge price.

    Chinese breakthrough

It’s worth mentioning separately about Chinese smartphones. In the past year, they became a real “explosion” that shook up everyone and everything. People really abandoned their branded phones to buy, albeit cheap, but very high-quality and reliable devices from China.

In general, the history of Chinese gadgets has long remained controversial. There are still those in the world who believe that if something says Made in China, then it is unusable and will only last a couple of weeks. In fact, it turned out that the Chinese are very creative in creating new models. Gadgets became unusual, each one stood out even among its peers. This is probably why some Chinese models even topped the rating of cell phones in terms of quality (2016 release).

    Rating

Going directly to the list best phones, it must be said that there is no way to create an objective rating. There are models that could be placed on one line right away. There are also smartphones that are very good in quality, but due to their high prices, they also cannot take first place.

Therefore, you need to immediately tune in to the fact that this is a subjective rating of phones based on quality, which, of course, is different for everyone. This is due to both the build quality and affordability, because someone can afford a smartphone for 60 thousand rubles, and for others this is a year’s salary.

    Popular phones

It's no secret that for regular user who doesn't chase dual camera, screens with 4K resolution and latest processors, on average, an acceptable price for a smartphone is up to 15 thousand rubles. In the category you can find good models that became popular among buyers in 2016. For this money you can buy yourself a phone with a Full HD display, 1-2 GB of RAM, 5-8 MP main camera, etc.

As mentioned earlier, it is difficult to make an objective rating of cell phones based on quality. Therefore, the following list of smartphones is conditional.

    Russian hope

Highscreen Power Ice from a Russian manufacturer interesting model and quite popular. Although it was assembled in China, there are no complaints about the body and materials. This is a mid-segment phone. The best characteristic that this phone has received is price/quality. It is no coincidence that he is ranked. It has an average display of 5 inches. Good resolution 1280x720. By the way, it even has 2 GB RAM and 16 GB built-in. It is very convenient that there is support for two SIM cards, as well as a capacious battery, which Highscreen is always famous for.

    Chinese state employees

In this budget segment there are two Huawei Honor: 5A and 5X. Although their price differs by almost two times, both still belong to cheap models. They were included in the quality rating of mobile phones due to their reliability. In general, Huawei has long been positioning itself as a brand. Therefore, the Honor line was a pleasant surprise for those who watch this company.

The Honor 5A model turned out to be almost the same as the previously mentioned Russian Highscreen Power Ice. The only difference is the Chinese's weak battery - only 2200 mAh, and its powerful 13 MP main camera. Also, the difference in price is almost 4 thousand rubles.

But the second model Honor 5X is a more powerful device. It has a 5.5-inch screen, which already goes into the “shovel” category. Naturally, such a display should also good resolution- 1920x1080. With memory and cameras, everything is the same as with its younger brother. They increased his battery to 3000 mAh.

    Series from Meizu

Next in the ranking are two very cool ones chinese phone- Meizu M2 Note and Meizu M3 Note. Very similar smartphones, which were loved by many. Moreover, sympathy for them began precisely with the younger model. The M2 Note has a 5.5-inch display and a resolution of 1920x1080. Its technical specifications are average. Has 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory. There is support for two SIM cards. The main camera received 13 megapixels, and the front one 5 megapixels.

But Meizu M3 Note has the most best characteristics that any phone should have - “price + quality”. He received a high rating thanks to these merits. Its main difference from the previous model is the improved technical characteristics, which made the smartphone more powerful. And, of course, the appearance of a fingerprint scanner. In addition, there is a version with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory. Also a hybrid slot and powerful battery at 4100 mAh.

    Winners

Concluding this budget rating phones in terms of quality, it is worth mentioning that they are undisputed winners. This Xiaomi Redmi 3S and Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro. The price of the first is about 9 thousand rubles, the second - up to 13 thousand rubles. In general, Xiaomi has been delighting us with its phones for several years now. Their devices turn out to be very cool. It’s also nice that everyone can find a model in a comfortable price segment.

Redmi 3S was released this summer. It has a five-inch display with a low resolution of 1280x720. It was one of the first phones to be controlled new Android 6.0. The memory here is 2/16GB. Good 13 MP main camera. Capacious 4100 mAh battery, especially considering the size of the display. A newfangled fingerprint scanner immediately appeared.

Redmi Note 3 Pro is a cut above. It first appeared earlier this year. To date, more than 110 million devices have already been sold. The phone has a 5.5-inch screen with FullHD resolution. There is also a 4050 mAh battery, which is basically enough for two days. There are two SIM cards on request, the presence of which has already become a standard. The 3 GB of RAM is especially nice.

    The best of the best

Now it’s worth talking about the more expensive models that users liked the most. Again, it is necessary to say about the subjectivity of the following list. Some models are indeed considered the best by the whole world, but there are also those who got here thanks to their features.

    Opening

LeEco was previously unknown to many people. This company became popular in Russia in September 2016 after it showed the world Le Max2. The cost of this phone fluctuates around 20 thousand rubles. His main feature is the lack of audio output. Perhaps you will immediately mention the seventh iPhone. But precisely in this Chinese smartphone For the first time, the analog audio output was removed. The American manufacturer later accepted this idea and implemented it in its new flagship.

In other respects, Le Max2 is also not inferior to many branded models. It has 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory. The screen is almost frameless and has 5.7 inches. The display resolution is high - 2560x1440. I was also surprised by the presence of a 21 megapixel camera. There is, of course, a fingerprint scanner and many other surprises.

    Two fighters

It just so happens that the quality rating of phones for this year is not topped by anyone from Apple or Samsung. The new “seventh” models occupy a common stage to avoid disputes and conflicts. Although, objectively, many believe that the Americans were still a little inferior to the Koreans.

Apple iPhone 7 Plus costs about 65 thousand rubles. In addition to the 32 GB version, there are also 128 and 256 GB versions. The phone itself was new in many ways. It received the new iOS 10 OS. It has a 5.5-inch screen, which will seem standard to many. There is 3 GB of built-in memory. The battery is small for such dimensions - 2900 mAh. The main feature of the new model is the dual main camera, which is truly impressive. Although in fact the lens is only the third in quality among all (first place goes to the main competitor - Samsung; second place - to HTC 10). But the front one is perhaps the best - 7 megapixels.

Samsung costs a little cheaper - 50 thousand rubles. Screen like curved model, and the standard one, 5.5 inches. Resolution 2560x1440. I was pleased with the 3600 mAh battery, although sometimes I wish it was even more powerful. Also, the main feature was the camera, which not only received a bunch of bells and whistles, but also has its own special technologies. Smartphone photos look very interesting. By the way, there is more RAM than the Apple phone - 4 GB. There is also a slot for a memory card. Fans were also glad that support for two SIM cards was returned.

    Irreproachable

If there were a beauty rating, then Huawei Honor 8 would unconditionally take first place. It is difficult to convey in words how beautiful this model is. Although, again, the concept of beauty is a subjective thing. Still, the Chinese have worked hard to release such a magnificent device into the world. In addition to its external advantages, it turned out to be quite powerful.

Its display is 5.2 inches with a resolution of 1920x1080. There are 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory. The battery, although it only has 3000 mAh, is paired with a special energy saving mode. There is one that can be configured for other commands. The cameras received 12 and 8 megapixels.

    Rest

In general, this expensive rating can be continued for a very long time. There really are a huge number of flagships released this year, and each of them is worthy of attention. Therefore, it is worth mentioning the LG G5, which received additional modules the very first. The smartphone has become one of the leaders in camera quality. Its technical characteristics have not been compromised either.

It is also important to mention the powerful Chinese leader - OnePlus3. The smartphone has become a real “boom”. It came out in the summer of this year and immediately won the honorary title of “flagship killer.” In fact, at the moment this is the most powerful model. His main trump card was the emphasis on technical characteristics. It quickly outperformed famous branded devices in Antutu tests. This is due to the presence of 6 GB of RAM, as well as latest version processor and video chipset.

And another winner in the race for the championship was ASUS Zenfone 3. The stylish and attractive smartphone was loved by many customers. The manufacturer positions the model as a camera phone. But, in addition to the advantages of the lens, the phone has excellent technical indicators.

    Buttons in fashion

It would be foolish to think that with the advent touch screens push-button phones will cease to exist. In fact, there are those people who do not want to learn or get used to the touchscreen. Some people find it much more convenient to have a phone with buttons. Therefore, such models still exist on the market and will exist as long as there is demand for them.

The quality rating of push-button phones is as subjective as the list of the best touchscreen flagships. But there are still a couple of models that stood out from the crowd and were recognized by buyers. Among them there are very expensive ones, and there are also budget ones.

By the way, if you rated phones based on communication quality, then most likely push-button phones would take first place. However, among them there are not only those who are distinguished by an excellent communication module, there are also long-livers, owners of excellent displays, clamshells and dual-SIM models.

As this year has shown, BQ BQM was able to top the rating of push-button cell phones in terms of quality. The company has created a number of very high-quality devices. For example, BQ BQM-2000 Baden - Baden is a compact, cute “clamshell” that has a stylish design, convenient keys, useful modes and clear notifications. Such a phone costs about 2.5 thousand rubles.

The BQ BQM-3200 Berlin boasts an excellent screen. Its size is 3.2 inches, which is quite large for models in this segment. This device is most suitable for men, as it has a rough appearance and large size. Its cost is about 2.5 thousand rubles. The company also has a good model that supports several SIM cards BQ BQM-2408 Mexico. And this is not as usual - two, but four SIM cards. That is, the phone is a real monster of mobile communications. Costs about 2 thousand rubles.

In addition to the BQ BQM, Samsung continues to produce push-button phones, which this year stood out with its reliable Metro B350E model. The popular BlackBerry with the Q10 model also operates in this segment. A special feature is the presence of a QWERTY keyboard. But the disadvantage is the very high price - 12 thousand rubles. Continues to produce push-button phones and Fly.

    South Koreans

This year has been tough for Samsung. This is the story of the closing of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 batch. Although objectively the phone would have become a leader in quality. But the updated and improved Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge were able to bring in income.

In general, it’s easy to make a rating of Samsung phones by quality this year. Phones seemed to appear as prices increased and technical characteristics improved. First came the budget one. It has a 4.5-inch screen, low resolution, and average camera quality. In general, it is a good branded “dialer”. It costs about 7 thousand rubles.

The older one appeared after him. Samsung model Galaxy J5. It has increased in size, and the technical characteristics have become many times better. Samsung Galaxy Note 5 continues its great series. Became very stylish, attractive, powerful. The screen turned out to be 5.7 inches with high resolution 2560x1440. There is even 4 GB of RAM and a choice of 32 or 64 GB of internal memory. Great camera, capacious battery and operational work stylus.

    Bottom line

The top smartphones of 2016 turned out to be very impressive. Thanks to them, you can even rank phone companies by quality. Thus, it turns out that in first/second place we have two leaders - Samsung and Apple. Again, we won’t pit them against each other, so we’ll just assume that we have two winners.

Next we have Huawei, which this year occupied an even larger percentage of the global market - 9.3. For comparison: back in 2012 it occupied only 3%. Next is Lenovo. A company that is always in the top five. Sometimes higher, sometimes lower, but always stable afloat. Well, this ranking is completed by Xiaomi and LG, which also showed their competitive flagships this year. Moreover, while the Koreans have been on the market for a long time, the Chinese have taken leading positions in just a few years.

New generation 4G communications will allow you to transmit large amounts of information, view or process video on the Internet and be mobile. She will provide high speed internet and will allow you not to depend on Wi-Fi networks. And to be able to use this connection you will need a smartphone with 4G support.

It's not even about survival. In ordinary comfort, or rather, in the absence of it. But, who knows, suddenly having a phone will become a matter of survival in a critical situation. There is a fire, a flood, an ambulance needs to be called, but you never know...

The fact is that at our dacha there is very bad connection. And who the hell knows why that is. But that's true. Residents of the holiday village have been suffering and swearing for a long time. Megafon doesn't pick up at all. Beeline charges very poorly. Somehow it catches MTS. But it’s also hard, on some days the signal disappears and you have to leave the house to catch it. Well, the receiver often croaks or has such an echo that you can’t make out anything.

However, I noticed this thing. All phones are accepted differently there. When I have 1 antenna strip on my smartphone, my wife has 2 of them on her phone. And when I have no signal at all, she has 1. And they call her more often. And she sends SMS without problems, but they often hang for me. In a word, it’s also about the phone itself, about the reception power.

Previously, this did not bother me, because at the dacha I want to relax and not be distracted by trifles; whoever needs it will be called back if they don’t get through right away. But starting this spring, the phone will become vital for work; you will need to be constantly in touch. And so I'm looking for a suitable pipe.

Company, design, screen size, “prestige” - none of this matters. Yes, even if it’s something ancient; the cheaper the better. For me, the main thing is that the phone picks up the signal well and allows me to speak normally. In this regard, the question is - what do you recommend? Which pipe is better to take? What if someone had similar problems?

If you need communication specifically at your dacha, buy a signal amplifier cellular communication, costs about the same as a mobile phone, and will provide excellent communication within a radius of 50-100 meters from the installation site. Install an external antenna, connect an amplifier, and reception of even the same will be at a normal level weak signal. Of course, it will be more expensive than buying a pipe once, but it will last for years, and everyone at home will have a connection, and not just on 1 pipe with an unpredictable result.

Buy a spare "Korean" handset of some kind, with an external antenna: Samsung, LG, Pantech of some kind. Siemens also had good reception with the antenna... back then the networks were not so penetrating to everyone and everything, so they made the power more powerful and the sensitivity higher.

Yes, this is understandable, but that’s why I asked about specific model. Was at our dacha Nokia old, still black and white, with a flashlight (I don’t remember the model), it was used at one time as a country phone. Last year it was covered.

But I wouldn’t say that it caught much better than my smart one.
That is, not all old Nokias are equally useful

    From personal experience:
    1. Motorola StarTAC - with the antenna extended, reception was better than any other of the same time.
    2. Motorola V60 - also caught very well where most others of the same time lost the signal.
Of the more modern ones, I don’t know. Nowadays they have installed repeaters on every corner, so it’s somehow no longer relevant to look at this parameter..

Well, yes, but... I don’t sit at my summer cottage all the time, I also move around the village. Moreover, we have 2 plots there, and they are located more than 100 meters from each other.

In order not to worry about batteries, which are difficult to get on old mobile phones, best option"Motorola M3888", you kill two birds with one stone, good sensitivity Plus it runs on 4 AAA batteries.

    mjk50 02-02-2016 14:44

To the above I’ll add the good old Nokia 3310...

    Destryktiv 02-02-2016 15:44

For the experiment, I tried Nokia 3310, Ericsson T28 and Motorola, the reception is very mediocre, the sound quality and audibility by the subscriber is even worse. An old bearded tale about the super reception of old phones.
You need to install an amplifier, otherwise you will continue to suffer without communication, and with any phone. Even with the oldest one and the most protruding antenna.

    Alexandr_VV 02-02-2016 16:56

By the way, try to look at the situation from a different perspective. Why are cell phone calls so bad? Because GSM is "digital" digital standard communications. He works very well in the zone. confident reception, and almost immediately disappears into the zone of uncertainty. In areas where cellular antennas are not stuck on every pole, it is wiser to contact analogue types communications - radio. Now on Ali you can buy a very good walkie-talkie, like the Baofeng, which costs a little more than the cheapest phone, within two or three rubles, plus a bunch of other things powerful antennas, tangets, batteries, and other crap. The beauty is that in addition to the standard frequencies of the civil range, it covers the service frequencies of the VHF range, that is, the channels of traffic police, firefighters, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, railway workers and airports. In normal situations it is prohibited to use them, but in critical cases you can contact us and request help.

Gentlemen, the question is very relevant, please offer current models. Black and white Nokias are not currently on sale. What is on sale up to 3-4 tr. a frank disposable Chinese “g”, with all that it implies. After a long search, a couple of days ago I bought a Fly FF241 for 2050 rubles, the downside is that the case immediately burst in 2 places when the battery was inserted, but not critical, there are no reminders in the calendar, a stupid notebook with short names and one number per contact, the pluses are 2700 battery, 2 SIM cards, radio without headphones, photo and video camera with flash/flashlight, voice recorder, but most importantly I liked the quality of the connection - you can hear yourself well, and you can hear your interlocutor well .

Another model is the Philips Xenium X1560 - weak body, powerful battery, cost about 2,000 rubles 2 years ago.
A few days ago I washed it in washing machine 1.5 hours with powder.
It dried for 3 days, disassembled down to the board, dried with a hairdryer, and on the battery. Miraculously he came to life (and not immediately) only on the third day. You can hear the caller very well.
But the downsides are the weak body and lack of a flashlight.

They have a problem with batteries, the original ones die, there are either no new high-quality ones on sale, or they are very poor quality. And as a rule, problems begin with the keyboard - the boards are not made of iron, the years take their toll. Find where a new (unused) phone has been preserved old model, but they are either sold at a high price or are not on sale.

Now, in the vast majority of cases, emergency services also work inside cellular network. For example, in our city, ambulances don’t have radios in their cars, only cell phones. Walkie-talkies have poor reception in the city, they are more expensive to maintain, require additional personnel, and as a result, they have already been abandoned in favor of corporate tariffs cellular communications.

Our cell phone couldn’t find a network in our room, but we needed the Internet. From copper wire I bent a figure eight with a side of a square of 8 cm, placed it horizontally and found a place under the ceiling where the signal was maximum. The Internet appeared.

You can also take a sheet of culinary foil, make a “bag” out of it (the bigger the better) and put your mobile phone in it - the signal will be significantly stronger.

Thanks for the advice, but in those conditions the zigzag pattern is more acceptable :-). Only I remade it a little - now it’s not just one “eight”, but consists of two. And I used the frame of a fluorescent lamp as a reflector - it became a little better. I’ll definitely look into the directional ones, thanks for the link, but the zigzag one is the easiest to make.

    ---
The question is how to power the antenna if the phone does not have an antenna jack? Previously, when telephones had antennas in the form of a pin, it was very easy to get out of the situation; a cap made of a copper tube was put on the antenna, to which the central core was connected coaxial cable, the cable braid was soldered to a brass plate and pressed against the phone body. Now, when the antennas are inside the mobile case, there is probably only one way left, two plates, one of which is pressed to the back of the phone, the other to the top. Perhaps it is possible to communicate with the antenna through a communication loop attached to antenna cable, and put it on the phone, I could try it, but the antenna is suitable for me at the moment No.

Of the older models, I’ll draw your attention to the Ericson 1018. Only a telephone - nothing more. External antenna on the connector. There are no problems with the batteries - the plastic battery case contains standard AAA and AA batteries (if the battery is reinforced). It takes very well. The buttons are separate and easy to type. Found on sale - due to the dead battery, the price is affordable. Not everyone knows about what’s inside the battery.

Due to the degradation of the next battery in the smart 2009 HTC diamond2 (gsm 850/900/1800/1900, wcdma 900/2100), I decided to try the ancient smart Nokia e50 (gsm 850/900/1800/1900) 2008 --- original Nokia batteries are still on sale. Downgrade result.
    1. Good acc. HTC had to be charged after 2-3 days, the old Nokia smart will most likely last longer.
    2. In a city apartment, htc is often not available for reception; to receive sms you need to move to the window. There is no such problem with Nokia.
    3. The main purpose of my smart phone is the Internet. In rural conditions on the street, you can get >1Mbps from htc from a tower 6 km away. Indoors, wcdma often shuts down, gprs doesn’t really help, you need to turn the device off and on and re-register on the network. Nokia plows slowly under the same conditions (10-100kbps).
    4. If we compare the navigation of gprs htc and a discreet navigator, then the speed of searching for satellites is again not on the side of the universal htc.
Thinking about going back to the old Nokia? Mail client, navigation, camera were rarely used. Modem functions are in demand, and the stable connection of the old Nokia is not superfluous.

From time to time I use old Philips models (Xenium series). There are no complaints. The way the phone works is excellent - plus, no one will get too carried away and if something happens (in extreme situations) it’s not such a pity.

    Did you notice?
You are advised to use devices that have a larger antenna.
I noticed this effect - the Internet worked on the tablet as if nothing had happened, while on the phone everything was zero. The operator is the same, at the same time, in the same place, the devices are just different. A tablet has a larger antenna than a phone.
quote: A tablet has a larger antenna than a phone.

The remark is correct. I spent a lot of time fiddling with wireless router 2.4Hz and 5Hz with built-in antennas, when I pushed it into the corridor. Through 2 walls the 2.4 GHz connection is bad, 5 GHz is non-existent. I increased the signal strength by changing the country to America --- outside the house from all sides you can connect, but in the apartment required speed remained so-so.
The router was replaced with external antennas, which promised to increase the signal in the direction of the receiver. At least 1/4 of the wavelength is present in external antennas, and at least the directional pattern along the horizon is known if the antennas are vertical. In reality, both ranges worked without any comments, without any increase in power. What’s even more interesting is that the power from the new router is less than the old one. Neither on the street nor on the floors new router not visible. From what can we draw a logical conclusion about the ability to base station It’s good to hear the caller. Those. If the base station uses its power to reach the subscriber far, then the subscriber with the limited power of his transmitter must report about himself uninterruptedly.
0.25--0.5 antenna wavelength for suitable 900 MHz in the village is 8--16cm. And who's in modern apparatus will it do that? On the contrary, manufacturers will add 3G and wifi capabilities at the expense of gsm 900 MHz.
quote: even further than 34 km the cell phone base continues to hear our handset,

So make your handset in the form of a BS (antenna and power) and carry the conversation far away. If you are not limited by length, you can use a set of collinear vertical antennas to bring the radiation pattern closer to the plane --- so for wifi routers external antennas do.

I’m “not a real welder”), like everyone else I google)

I think that the GSM cellular protocol assumes that you should have another cell base closer than this one at 30 km,
which is true for the city, but not true for the countryside.

One division of the indicator only informs
    that the base saw you
at a distance correct operation communication packet timings,
but the real fact of digital voice communication is not a fact,
send SMS or go to the signal source.

    Well, don't forget
that the database works not for one subscriber, but for everyone, even if there are none.
